The location is small, casual and very clean. We sat down in front of the door that leads to the kitchen. We were able to see the dishes people ordered and they all looked mouth watering. Our waiter was very nice, insightful and attentive. She asked us if we liked spice on certain dishes and recommended things to be put on the side so we could enjoy the food. I went 3 weeks ago with my boyfriend. Service was bad. They took more than 20 minutes to take our order and a long time to bring out our food. Although that happened, I decided I'll give them another chance and to drive ALL THE WAY to Pico Rivera, I do not live nearby. The last time I placed a phone order, it was easy and quick. Today, I called to place a phone order literally like 20 minutes ago. They answer, and the girl asks if she could place me on hold....I say yes. She leaves me on "hold" but forgot to actually place me on hold because I could hear everything they're saying. I'm not sure what happened, but *red flag* she kept apologizing to someone about something. So there's obviously something wrong already with their service from that situation I could overhear. After she's done apologizing, another phone rings, and she hangs up on me!! So I called back, and no one answered....then I called again, and they picked up, but hung up on me. The same thing kept happening. When they finally answered, some dude asked if he could place me on hold. I tried explaining the situation, but guess what!! He placed me on hold and didn't give me the chance to explain!! If this is how they treat customers....I want nothing to do with them. I called one more time and told some girl about what happened and that the service I was getting was bad, and she hung up on me. Thanks for this because now I know to place my orders and money elsewhere. Food is good, but if customer service isn't....then it's NOT WORTH IT. read more

Our first time visiting this establishment in Pico Rivera. My husband said the food was good in taste and the serving size of his tostada mixta was really good. He also liked the empanadas de camarón, but would have liked a bit more shrimp. I ordered the lobster taquitos they were good, but I was not satisfied with just the three tacos cut in half. Maybe a side salad would have been a good side to complete the meal. Service was excellent, friendly and courteous. Music was loud, but allowed for great conversation. read more

I am a big fan of this restaurant I go once a week to the Downey location. But this time I went to Pico Rivera since it closer to my home. I was so disappointed with the way the general manager received us. I had made a 7:30 reservation and checked in at 7:34 due to parking. When I checked in the General manager tells me with attitude I almost removed you "you are late". I still replied sorry parking is bad here and my son in a walker so it's difficult for him to walk. He tells me again with an attitude I texted you to confirm. At this point I'm getting upset because why is he giving me an attitude there was only two people waiting and I wasn't rushing him for a table. So I responded and I replied confirming. He checks his tablet and says oh yeah you did and replies you're going to have to give me a few minutes. Again I responded no problem and go wait outside. When he finally calls my group he walks out with attitude again and tells me your table is ready. We walk in slowly as my son is in a walker (leg injury) and needs time to walk in and sit down. The general manager is walking behind with the menus and places them on the table annoyed. I tried to ignore his behavior as I didn't want to inconvenience my family who drove out to have a nice dinner with us. But really a general manager should never act this way with customers. He needs to improve his customer service even if he was upset or annoyed who knows at what or why but did have to take it out on us. Hopefully this is improved as your food is delicious. read more

Unfortunately it is overpriced by about 30% for each meal. Wonderfully marinated seafood for $40? Cheesy, crisp shrimp tacos (3) for $21? Additionally, the octopus needed to be broken down further and marinated, or charred in some capacity to build the flavor profile. What we had was slightly chewy and flavorless.
