I normally jog at Legg lake on the weekends & would always see many people eating at this place which made me want to stop by and try it out! So my bf & I came on a weekday hoping it wouldn't be as busy...and it wasn't but still packed inside the establishment, we sat outside in the patio and the staff was beyond exceptional, they were attentive, quick, & friendly! Even if the food was just okay I still would've came back just because the service was A1 Also, since it was our first time the owner gave us a free breakfast voucher which I still need to use for brunch! We ordered the ceviche de camaron tostada, oysters (6 or 12; Market price) and the Gavilan roll, all tasted great and the portion is worth the price. The shrimp ceviche had to be on the top of my list because of their red sauce they mix it with!! The oysters tasted fresh and were already cut from the shell & the sushi roll was massive! Here's Visited for the first time and was thoroughly impressed! We ordered the fish taco, fajita mista, and ceviche, along with some beer and lemonade. The fish taco was perfectly crispy with fresh, flavorful toppings, and the fajita mista came sizzling hot with a great mix of meats and veggies. The ceviche was fresh and zesty, the perfect blend of citrus and spice. The drinks were refreshing and just what we needed. The service was exceptional--attentive, friendly, and quick. From the beginning the staff was very friendly (they were young too so we appreciated that - we did let them know) When our time came to get sorted, we were asked if the sitting arrangement was okay, or did we want it rearranged (we sat outside). We started off with the tostada rebelde, chicharrón de pescado, oysters and agua chiles to share. The mix in the tostada was fresh and refreshing with that hint of limón, plenty of shrimp and avocado. The chicharrón is a must!! I was there on 7/27. Upon arrival we were greeted by smiles and good vibes. We sat down immediately; we chose the patio. Our server was Liliana. She was so sweet and helpful. We got the ceviche mitotero which she recommended (great portion for 2 people). It was really good. The micheladas are huge and perfect for this hot summer. It's very pretty I ordered the steak fajitas but they ruined my order and I told them. My friend then got the wrong order so they gave him my order to eat after I had taken a bite of the steak. He then ate it assuming it was his. They come back and take his plate because it was mine. They get my steak and "cook" it more. It was steamed the meat was not like a steak it felt gross and I also only got 3 pieces of chicken in this 37 dollar dish. They knew I wasn't satisfied I told them and still brought back a disgusting dish. The steak was not worth it at all. I was eating warm wet steak. read more

I am a big fan of this restaurant I go once a week to the Downey location. But this time I went to Pico Rivera since it closer to my home. I was so disappointed with the way the general manager received us. I had made a 7:30 reservation and checked in at 7:34 due to parking. When I checked in the General manager tells me with attitude I almost removed you "you are late". I still replied sorry parking is bad here and my son in a walker so it's difficult for him to walk. He tells me again with an attitude I texted you to confirm. At this point I'm getting upset because why is he giving me an attitude there was only two people waiting and I wasn't rushing him for a table. So I responded and I replied confirming. He checks his tablet and says oh yeah you did and replies you're going to have to give me a few minutes. Again I responded no problem and go wait outside. When he finally calls my group he walks out with attitude again and tells me your table is ready. We walk in slowly as my son is in a walker (leg injury) and needs time to walk in and sit down. The general manager is walking behind with the menus and places them on the table annoyed. I tried to ignore his behavior as I didn't want to inconvenience my family who drove out to have a nice dinner with us. But really a general manager should never act this way with customers. He needs to improve his customer service even if he was upset or annoyed who knows at what or why but did have to take it out on us. Hopefully this is improved as your food is delicious. read more

YUMMY!!!!! I came here on a weekend day, so parking was not easy to find. Although they do have their own parking, which is small, so we had to park on the street, which was not easy but we managed. They were pretty quick to seat us down, and we sat outside which was great, since it was a sunny beautiful day. Outside they do have a TV, so don't worry folks you will be able to enjoy sports while you eat. The patio has shade so you don't really have to worry about the sun, as much. Drinks are pretty big, I did not need any refills as one time was enough. Their homemade lemonade was just delicious and fresh. When coming here we ordered a ceviche tostada and mixed tostada. One was honestly enough for me with the addition of saltine crackers (my preference and so delicious), it had a lot of ceviche on it, you could honestly order an additional tostada by itself and can make two. The flavor was just tasty, everything felt balanced. The only thing that maybe I did not like but it's understandable with it being seafood is the pricing. The pricing I'm in MY personal opinion was a bit high, but hey, the quality of their food is worth it. It is quite a small place inside and outside, so just be mindful on the day you go, as it will be packed. But overall I recommend any seafood lovers to try it out! read more
