I love the food here. I've never ordered anything and not enjoyed it. I think any Mexican place with rice and beans as good as theirs is a damn GOOD Mexican restaurant. Some of my favorite dishes have been the Chipotle shrimp, shrimp taco plate, aguachiles, ceviche and the coctél. The micheladas are good too, and they have a good selection of Mexican beers. The reason I'm giving a 3 star review and not 4, is because I'm taking into consideration the lack of cleanliness of the place and their seating methods when the place is packed. I've been here on days, or nights, when they have a full house and instead of clearing and cleaning tables to get a new party seated right away, they continue waiting on the parties that are already seated. It's not ok when 4 tables are free and there's 4 or 5 parties standing around. The waitresses are really attentive and friendly for the most part, but I never get a friendly attitude from the cashiers, who seem to be the owners. I would also like to see the floors clean more often. To sum up, the food is worth seeing napkins and straws on the floors and the crowded space, but not a ridiculous long wait. read more

I liked the pico with shrimp but wasn't a fan of either the octopus or the tostada. The tostada itself was a bit too thick for me and tasted bland/stale. The octopus was too chewy for my liking and had crusties on the edges. After I had my fill of the tostada, I stalked the OYSTERS. Went yesterday and their service is bad we waited so long like 20 min to get attendant by the waiter and that was just for us to get a menu and start off with some drinks . the restaurant only had 1 waiter and there was so many people waiting for their food , to get a menu , they kept asking the waiter for things and since she was the only one there she can only keep up with so much " which it wasn't her fault " more of the restaurant and the table were dirty and no one would come and clean them , also they were sitting people down were the table were dirty and had them waiting for so long a couple right next to me waited and waited so they decided to leave the people behind us didn't get their food till a hour later . I have been coming here for a couple years now with my husband. For anyone below complaining about service being rude, just stop right there. The ladies work so hard, all day long. If you come very early, one is serving all tables until the other one comes in to stagger. If you feel ignored, from what I seen they are usually busy doing something all the time. Its similar to going for Pho, if you don't order right away, prepare to wait an extra 15 min for them to come back to you. Anyways hands down they are by far my favorite place for ceviche, and fish tacos. The shrimp and crab tostadas are yummy too! I also always order the cocktails which are the best! I havent tried the tacos or other traditional plates because the mariscos is the only reason why I come all the way from north OC to eat it. I have tried other mariscos placed and nothing compares! I try to take all my friends here and they are sold immediately. Once again, food over service but they memorize everything we order now since we come at least 2-3 times a month. This location cannot be beat when it comes to quality, quantity, and price. For two people I don't spend over $20! I normally get tostadas de ceviche (2) and if I have someone to share it with I will also get a mojarra. They serve very generously and it tastes amazing every time. The waitresses here work very hard and usually it's one or two serving the entire place. It can feel like you are waiting a really long time for your food but it is totally worth the wait. If you come to this location during lunch hour or anytime during lent expect it to be very busy with a long wait. They share parking with a few other businesses but I usually always find a spot when I come here. read more

Campechana? You mean CRAP-echana! This is the first time I have ever seen a cocktail campechana that was served with only ketchup or nothing else. They charge like $10+ and they don't have any clamato for those of us who don't eat it with ketchup. The waitress seemed pleasant enough even though I only ordered the campechana and a tostada mixta for myself and said like 3x I don't want ketchup and then she brought it literally with nothing but clear broth and a big dollop of ketchup on top so I politely pointed it out and she quickly realized her mistake and whisked it away to fix her error while I was left to wait like another 15 minutes. Then she comes back with just seafood in broth and I ask if there is any clamato? I'm told that there isn't. So I have to dump the chips salsa into it with a bunch of lime and chili just to give it some flavor besides salt shrimp water. The tostada mixta was literally just a tostada with seafood dumped on it and no other flavors so I fixed that too. The shrimp burrito was OK but we ordered it for a child and I was annoyed that we weren't told that it was spicy until he started complaining and unable to finish eating it. The only one that actually ordered something decent was my boyfriend who got like this garlic fried fish. I would not recommend this place in the least and will not be returning. 0 stars read more

I've recently phoned in an order to have a Fish Ceviche made. The request was not to many of the vegetable ingredients & more fish. They have been able to fill my order prior & now they are unable to do so, because they pre make this product & they can't customize the amount ordered. I placed an order for 3 lbs. & they said they needed a 5lb or more order to make the requested order. Also if I wanted to order a 3lb custom order I could only order a shrimp or crab order the way I wanted it. I thought their resturant made their product fresh & not like most restaurants that pre make their food considering they work with only seafood. Makes me wonder if their food sits around & for how long, again for pre made Fish Ceviche. I do not recommend this resturant, service is bad, not a lot of seats to accommodate people, this was the reason I placed an order to go, which I opted out of ordering from. Does any one know of another Mariscos place in the Inland Empire, that really can accommodate people's wants and need for seafood? The jaiva was literally plain jaiva with no other Ingredients and it was overpriced for the amount and quality of the food. The aguachiles was 3/4 juice and only 1/4 shrimp. A Diamond in the Rough! The best eateries are usually the small holes in the wall. This is that case! Their prices are Uber Cheap.. Portions are good, and the flava, the flava is good. lol. What I love the most here is the Mojarra en Curtido. It comes with re-fried beans, rice and a small salad. The mojarra is served fresh and has these scrumptious fresh marinated onions on top. The onions just add to the flavor especially when you take their warm corn tortillas and grab some mojarra with the onions and some salsa. MMMMMM This is by far my favorite dish here and gets 5 stars. Have also had the fish tacos which are only $1 each or you can order their plate with three tacos, re-fried beans and rice. You need to ask the waitress for the bottled salsa and this secret creamy sauce they serve. Add that to the tacos and it sets them off. Way better than plain. They only come with a little cabbage and cream sauce. Ceviche here is awesome. Fresh and crisp. One tostada can make two. Another menu item most people may not order is the shrimp quezadilla. Order it! It will surprise you. It has medium size grilled shrimp and loads of cheese. It's only $4.00 that's a steal. Highly recommend as an appetizer or even your full meal if you want to try something different. The dining area gets 3-4 stars. It's a little small especially for the lunch crowd. Even the salsa given with the chips was off the mark. I do have to say the price is very cheap. But (as we write in software code) cheap != good (that is does NOT equal). The CEVICHE TOSTADA was good, however lacked much flavor. The COCTEL de CAMARON (shrimp cocktail) was watery and flavorless. The fish tacos were good, and could hold their own. Gotta have my ceviche fix this morning! The ceviche is the only thing I've tried so far. Here for the second time and I think I'm becoming a regular. The regular ceviche tostadas are only $1.45 or something, so I get 4. When you get the to-go order, they just give me a big tub of ceviche and 4 tostadas on the side. Also, a baggie of quartered limes and a little thing of hot sauce. Yum! They can improve on service, though. The people that take your order aren't always the friendliest, and they seem to assume you speak Spanish if you're eating there. If they improve on this, I will give them two more stars. Their is an angry looking lady up front that has to handle all the money and look at all the orders going out. This makes the process longer. It's kind of a cruel joke when I find a place as awesome as this and I'm leaving the area so soon. If I lived close to this place I would probably go several times a week. Their prices are ridiculously cheap for the great quality and quantity of food. When I went today my friends shared some of their shrimp and such with me so I figured I would some other parts of the menu. I got a breaded steak torta, chicken burrito, and a fish taco (I'm a big eater plus I was really hungry). Everything was simple and flavorful and they had good sauce options which I feel is crucial. I'm a big fan of burrito in one hand sauce in the other and working your way down. Final thoughts: Basically if you are anywhere near this area at any point I would highly recommend coming by for even just a quick bite to eat. I had a difficult time deciding on how many stars to give this place. If I were judging this place on the food only, I would give it a five but there are other factors to consider. FOOD The food is above average. I tried the fish ceviche, mojarra in garlic, and the aguachile. The aguachile (raw shrimp marinated in lime, red onions, jalapeno, and chile powder) was my favorite, it was fresh and really spicy. SERVICE The service sucked. The place was crowded and the service was really slow. The waitress brought our plates at different and my daughter and I had to watch my wife eat her mojarra for about five-10 minutes while we waited for our tostadas. When the aguachile came out the waitress offered tostadas but I had to wait a while for them to come out. She never once came to ask us for refills or anything else. ATMOSPHERE The dining area was reasonably clean considering the high traffic and was filled with families which was pretty cool. Most of mariscos joints I've been to look like taverns where the waitresses wear tight miniskirts and hustle tips by flirting with mostly male patrons instead of serving food. The oysters were so cold, cleaned so well (no sand at all-what a rarity!!!!) and came with limes and tapatio. I skipped the tapatio-I couldn't get the damn packages open-so I poured some of their chili onto them. SO GOOD. Howev-I didn't experience the aphrodisiac high-BUMMER-I was looking forward to that.
