This is the type of place you could normally only find by visiting locals in Ensenada or Rosarito. Food is, fresh, CHEAP, and delicious... I seriously have trouble NOT going to this place at least once a week. Just beware, they close at 7pm sharp, often run out of favorite dishes an hour or so before closing, and are closed Thursdays (to go fishing, no joke.) Service is slow, but that almost adds to the authentic feeling you've crossing the border the moment you stepped in. Just went yesterday 3 of us ordered: Chips & fresh salsa 1 sm shrimp coctail 5 tostadas de ceviche 4 fish tacos 1 horchata = The bill was $16!!!!!!!!! We left full.... Amazing! Well, this place has not changed since last time I was here. However, the food is pretty good, but the service sucks!!! One thing (amongst many) I don't like is that the waitress does not bring out the food together when the order is placed. Great food, but the customer service isn't great, long wait times to get a table, and the set up is weird. But definitely go for the food! Went today for the first time after looking up MICHELADA on yelp and finding this place... Me and a Coworker went for lunch and the crowd wasnt too bad! the waitress was a little slow tho (hence the 4/5 stars) but onto the food. i tried the shrimp tostada (cruda/raw) and liked it a lot. my coworker had a small shrimp cocktail and it was good too! Micheladas were ok.... could be a lot better but i would go back and have it again. bottom line cheap and good! we spent about $22.22 on our entire meal. I'm glad my friend told me about this place. I went Sunday afternoon about 3pm and it was pretty damn crowded. I was only getting take out and ordered a fish burrito and a ceviche tostada. Both were very good. Can't wait to go back and try some different stuff. The older lady at the counter was giving me shit in spanish though. She was upset because I gave her a $100 bill. She had the change, but was still telling me in spanish that I should've gave her smaller bills. Fresh bomb ass seafood prepared a multitude of savory ways and ice cold beers served up quickly and inexpensively is what keeps me coming back to this spot. Their ceviche is loaded with flavor, mojarras are served up crispy and delicious, and the coctel's are bangin'. I havnt been disappointed with anything I've ordered and this place. Gueros is the best! They are super cheap, nice, and close to my house! I can get $1.25 ceviche tostadas de camaron... Mmm Anyways they are always nice.. The only bad thing is that you have to be prepared to wait on Sundays or when it is packed. They are also closed one day during the week- weekday- but still good! You can call and order to go as well.. And it is fast :) the filete is cheap too... Had high expectations but didn't really feel the food was all that great. Good for 3 stars maybe even 4 perhaps, but I definitely had to downgrade a star for service. I ordered a shrimp tostada and a shrimp cocktail. Shrimp tostada was bland and had to be dressed up with hot sauce, extra lime squirts, and salt. More to my liking after that doctoring I gave it. The shrimp cocktail had a good amount of medium sized shrimp and had a good flavor that needed little fixing up. Tostadas were terrible. Thick and almost stale in texture. I prefer thinner crispier tostadas. They were bursting at the seams when I arrived to place a takeout order. Thought to myself a good sign. It was an early Friday afternoon and didn't expect to see so many people there. There was a wait to be seated so there were people just milling around the front waiting. There is only one register so waitresses have the cashier process table orders and takeout orders on the same register. The process was chaotic and inefficient. I place my order and I wait. And I wait. And I wait more. 30 mins total. The bags for takeout were piling up on the front counter. (half a dozen orders by my haphazard count) then I realize they weren't even calling out numbers or order descriptions, and certainly not names since they didn't ask mine. I get closer to the counter and the lady preparing the takeout orders is literally whispering the orders that are ready! Really!? Okay maybe a couple of decibels above a whisper. So there i am among 4 other people trying to figure which bag belonged to who. Mind you, we are talking about seafood sitting on a counter on a 90 degree day. Yeah, not cool - literally! Excellent food at an AMAZING price. While not the best shrimp tacos I've ever had (see one of my other reviews for that), the price more than made up for the shortcomings. 3 shrimp tacos, beans, rice and a drink for under $7 bucks. WOW. When I walked into this place, it was so packed that people were waiting outside for tables to clear inside (a great sign). Even as packed as it was, it still took under 20 minutes for my order to be ready, and I walked out the door. As for the shortcomings, they are mostly due to my personal preferences. The salsa that was included with the tacos was not hot enough for my taste, and they didn't give me any lemon slices (I didn't think to ask). I will definitely eat here again, and plan on trying the ceviche next. One of the great things about Lent is that you are constantly on the lookout for new places to eat seafood. read more

I went there 3 weeks ago and the customer service was just horrible. I ordered my food to go because there where no available tables. Then a table became avail. 25 minutes after. I asked to please bring my food to the table instead and the lady was sooo pissed off! I couldn't believe her attitude.
