I stopped by 1933 Kitchen & Bar for lunch because I saw they had a chicken Philly on the menu,…read morewhich can be surprisingly hard to find since most places only offer the traditional beef version. I ordered the chicken Philly and specifically asked for no mayo, which was also noted on my receipt. I also asked for jalapeños because the menu listed "hot and sweet peppers," but the server said those were more like bell peppers. The fresh jalapeños ended up being an extra $1.50. Unfortunately, the sandwich arrived with mayo on both sides of the bread. I was already very hungry and getting a headache, so instead of sending it back and waiting again, I tried scraping most of it off. Even after that, the sandwich was still very heavy. There was also a lot of melted cheese that tasted closer to an American or Cheez-Whiz style cheese rather than something milder like provolone or Swiss, which made the sandwich very wet and overly rich. I ended up eating less than half of the sandwich before giving up on it. The garlic fries were decent, though they were very thin shoestring fries and the portion looked larger than it actually was because they were spread out across the tray. The pickle on the side was very soft and soggy and had an unusual mix of dill and sweet flavors, so I only took one bite. To the server's credit, when she saw that I wasn't taking the sandwich to go and mentioned the mayo issue, she gave me 20% off the bill, which I appreciated. However, since more than half of the sandwich went uneaten due to the mistake, a larger adjustment might have felt more appropriate. Overall, the experience was pretty average ("meh"), and while the staff was polite, the food itself didn't live up to expectations. I probably wouldn't return on my own.

I've had the catfish several times and it's slightly crunchy, light golden brown, and moist and flaky inside. Omg. I could eat it every day! Lol. They also don't skimp on the portions of fish, fries or condiments (tarter sauce for me). Hubby and I shared a plate of catfish and an order of prawns and we have left overs. The mac and cheese bites are fresh, creamy, and delicious! We placed our order online and it was waiting when we arrived. The lady wearing bicycle shorts was super sweet and genuinely helpful! You guys are doing a fantastic job! Keep it up. We'll be back soon. Lol.

The comfiest stools in town we believe so far. Inside is also pleasant and roomy. Big screens line the back of the bar over a WIDE array of taps. You'll find something you'll like for sure. Bartender was delightful, her smile lit the place. Menu is some nice Pub Stuff of wings, fish and burgers kinda felt like had a southern bayou fry feel. Wings are fantastic. Any of 'em. Fries were straight-up yum. I had a blonde ale n my wife ordered the "brut champagne" that actually was a Cava. Not cool, kids. Truth will set you free. Cava, Prosecco, Franciacorta, California sparking, Champagne or Crémant, etc. truth in labeling is appreciated. I get it, not ur foo-foo wine bar kinda place and that's ok. Most everyone revealed to us they were from the immediate neighborhood which was encouraging. Very lively and excitable crowd made our brief stop-in very fun. Planning to go back for the sammiches and the vibe. Joe-Bob says pro-ceed on over to Ce-dars

It was one of those…read morechilly, foggy December nights when we cruised down the two-lane highway, descending into the charming heart of downtown. As we arrived, we were welcomed by the twinkling lights of Main St. and a beautifully adorned town Christmas tree. The streets were nearly deserted, and at the corner, nestled in a lovely brick building, was Main St. Bar & Grill. Inside, the atmosphere was serene, offering an intimate dining experience devoid of lines and throngs of people. I felt as if I had stepped into a scene from a Hallmark movie. The menu boasted an impressive wine selection along with a fully stocked bar. I indulged in a glass of Rombauer Carneros, while my friend opted for an 805. For starters, we savored the delightful calamari and asparagus, both delectable treats. Our main course featured gnocchi and prawns that were absolutely scrumptious. To finish off our meal, we enjoyed creamy cheesecake accompanied by a Bailey's Irish coffee and a perfectly brewed regular coffee, both served at just the right temperatures. The ambiance allowed for easy conversation, with a noise level that was just right. There were no holiday crowds--just the charm of a quaint little town, fresh cuisine, and fabulous wine.

Then I ordered a margarita, it was the worst margarita I've ever tasted. It literally tasted like the real lime juice from the store mixed with the cheapest tequila. The premixed margarita from Walmart tastes better. It was awful and cost way too much for what I received. So if you're thinking of coming here for drinks, don't waste your time.

I've been craving a red meat and I knew I shouldn't expect much from a restaurant in Fairfield/Suisun, it's just not a culinary area. And I was right! The steak was just OK and for some reason they topped the red wine demi glaze in the to go container which of course, and then spread into the mashed potatoes and green beans. The sauce would have made the steak better if I had more of it. They should consider putting it into a container instead... food for thought.
