I bought a new truck at Mark Christopher Chevrolet,l. One of the perks was a free oil change. I scheduled an appointment for my oil change, and I went to my appointment. When I got there, none of the service people came out to greet me. So, I walked into the office and all of the service people were too busy talking to each other to even acknowledge that I was there. Then, when someone finally did help me, she said the service person would be there soon but she wasn't at her desk right now. I asked, how long will it take for an oil change? I was told it would take two hours. I also have a Camaro ZL 1 that I take to Paradise Chevrolet. When I go there, service people get to my door before I'm even able to open it. And, an oil change has never taken more than 20 to 30 minutes. And, whenever I go there I'm treated like royalty. My new truck will never be serviced at Mark Christopher Chevrolet. I'd rather make the drive to Paradise. read more

I started off with a not so positive experience with this dealership. Then I found myself dealing with Greg Hess, and what a difference. I was interested in a 2017 Escalade luxury that had to be a custom build as I wanted the shale interior and the granite exterior and the entertainment system for my grandsons . Greg kept me informed every step of the way, he communicated everything with me he was professional and he was on top of everything. Not only that, but rather than making me drive from Huntington Beach to Ontario, he delivered the vehicle to my home himself. He then patiently showed me how everything works and we even took a drive around the neighborhood so he could teach me how to have the car park itself. I went to the Chevrolet dealership yesterday 5/12 2021to purchase my leased Chevrolet equinox was told by GM financial that I could pay for it there. First off they didn't want to take my money wanted a credit card. then tried to tell me instead of it being 17,478.30 pay off it would be 19,264.46 said I had to pay sales tax I agreed and gave them my 18,100.00 cash and my bank credit card for the remainder. After I got home I saw that they had charged me for license fees 114.00 registration transfer fees 191.00 document fees 85.00 DTRS fee 27.00. I fill like they railroaded me they tried to get me to lease a new car tried to get me to finance this one they also did a credit check without my knowledge. All Gm Financial told me to pay was what I owed 17,478.30 plus sales tax nothing else. I told them I had already paid my new licenses fees on the 21st of April of 310.00 I just lost my mate of 57 years and I am 85 years old they saw I was very vulnerable and took advantage of that all want is my money back that they over charged me and to remove the hard inquiry off my credit report. read more

I also wanted to comment on the back end of the the experience because its sepearte from the sales part of it. I myself have experience with automotive paint and refinish as well as cut and polishing paint. With that said. I purchased a package called Eccbond which usually comes on cars like cadilacs and corvettes. They add this amazing hand applied permanent clear film or wax type. Its supposed to seal the clear coat and stay on pretty much forever with good care. You can apply your own wax on top of that to take care of it. Its also interior coatings and stuff like ding removal and chipped glass correction services. I think also towing and gas can't remember. Well with all that said if all is done correctly it makes your car look amazing. When I drove off the lot it was night out and my car is black so looked great to me. The Eccbond would be an appoitmwnt I just went to on the 16th of this month for the application. After a couple days with my cars in December I noticed in the sun you can see certain scratches and fine swirl marks all over the car. These are so fine that they can only be seen at an angle and usually not a big problem. A simple hand glaze compound will remove it before applying your final wax. The night I drove off with it they washed and hand wax the car only not Eccbond. These scratches happen in either of these cases through the process of washing to detailing the car. If during washing if the mitt has contaminants or too many on the car get rub on or even when applying or removing wax or even drying. If any of the applicators used have contaminetns it can scratch the car. I knew this is no big deal. But one thing I did know is that these fine lines needed to be buffed out before the Eccbond would be applied because it would only magnify all the scratches. And then the Eccbond would have to be removed by wet sand or cutting it to get back down to the clear coat to correct the fine lines. I KNEW THIS. so I tried to get this important detail across to Dona who called me to schedule my appointment and told me I would be meeting with Catherine and to bring it up to her so that she could make note of it. My frustration came when I tried to explain this when I came in for my appointment and Catherine made me feel very rushed and when I brought it up to her she gave me little time to show her the imperfections in the paint. She said that the cars get buffed out before the Eccbond and so all scratches will be removed and i left it at that. Came to get the car 6 hours later and my gut was right. Scratches were still there and fine lines all over the car are now spots of glare. They kept the car over night said they would fix it and they only removed the major scratches . the ONLY way to repair this paint is to remove the Eccbond to get to the clear to remove the scratches and finally reapply the Eccbond. There is absolutely no other way. You won't be able to polish out the Eccbond because the imperfections are beneath it if it makes sense. So now I have paid an extra 1000 for Eccbond which is great but was applied over minor damaged paint. Im getting a hold of their manager today and seeing what they are going to do to fix this and will update to this post with final rating on the back end of this sale. If they don't fix it Im having to pay somebody else to remove the Eccbond I paid for to simply just polish out the scratches and ill be applying just hand wax afterwards. The way Im expecting them to take care of this is by taking the car in one last time to redo the whole process I mentioned to repair and reapply Eccbond on perfect paint and compensating the time loss and frustration of this foreseen problem. If they only refund the Eccbond cost I will now be stuck with paying for a new car with damaged paint and paying for repair something no one should expect to do buying a new car. I wouldn't expect them to replace the car but would really surprise me because it would be above and beyond and hands down the only Chevy dealership in California. read more

Don't buy anything at mark Christopher we took a test drive in a 2019 Enclave when we came to a store I noticed that the car shut off the salesman explained that it was a start/ stop feature I told the salesman that I didn't want that feature and that would be a deal breaker he said that it could be turned off so we thought thats good if it could be turned off so after singing the papers and bought the car they told us they were sorry we found that this feature could not be turned off. Be aware that most of the new cars have this stupid feature it's A stupid stupid feature and they said that it's there to save you gas!! Meanwhile when it turned off at a stop it runs on the battery. People here so unorganized, I will never do business with them again, the only reason why I lease another car from them is that I have to return the other car that's due in a week, ok so after talking to the sales person, which he don't know anything. Getting the car for 24 months and 12k lease, so we went to the finance dept, he totally gave us a different lease, he gave us a 36months which is ok but he also give us a 10k so I refused the deal, he went to talk the manager I guess that's what he is, the told us the can't do the deal and thank us for saving the dealer money. Anyway the General manger came we told him the situation and he said let's do the deal. Anyways come to this dealer if your want to get treat like your nobody. We are in the market for a full size SUV and since my fleet car was going to be delivered here for me to pick up I thought I'd call the guy handling the transaction and discuss us purchasing an SUV on the same date- well I called and spoke to JIM Daily and what a train wreck- first he won't let me get a word in and also extremely rude- after he carried on I told him that I wanted to see if he can help with my purchase at the same time I picked my company car up but after all that I told him forget it!!!!! Sadly, I am very disappointed with the customer service at this GMC dealer. I love my GMC Terrain, and plan on getting another one in the next 2 years. There were 2 current recalls on my vehicle, so I brought it to this dealership for service. The service rep (George) was very friendly from the beginning, which I appreciated. I requested a courtesy vehicle, due to the recalls being a manufacturer issue. I was told that because I am a new customer to this dealership, and did not purchase my vehicle from them, that they would not cover a rental car. I was adamant, but declined nonetheless. It's an odd philosophy to me that they treat me differently because I am a new customer. It's not a great way to gain my business andto increase customer retention. Basically, I am inconvenienced and must pay for a rental vehicle for 2 days out of pocket, even though the issues with my car are manufacturer issues, covered under the recall. They offered to provide me with a ride within a 10mile radius, but I have to wait 1.5 hours for the shuttle. I'm beyond frustrated, and this experience will definitely influence my business in the future. My advice is to seek out a different dealership, at least for service, as this department does not treat customers equally and does not seem to be concerned with customer satisfaction. read more

Took my car to service again and had to wait over 3 hours for just a oil change. This is ridiculous. We are busy people and have things to do better than to sit a car dealership for over 3 hours. Snacks ,water, status updates with your vehicle should be implemented. During my visit, you had over a hand full of people upset for the same reason. this should be no more than 1 hour or less to change oil. We bought our 2015 Colorado. We worked with Johnny for three months because there was a specific truck we wanted and he got it. He drove to San Diego and got the truck for us. We got a good trade in. We were there for 1 1/2 hours and got it all done. We were pre approved by our credit union, so no problem there. Just remember when you buy a vehicle know what you want, get pre approved from your bank or credit union and you wont have to spend hours getting a vehicle. The service department at Mark Christopher is awful. They attempted to charge me twice the cost of the OEM part and twice the stated labor time/cost of the ASE repair manual (over $400 above quotes from elsewhere). I noted this for the service manager and he challenged me to prove it to him which one call to a reputable mechanic and two simple google searches from credible sources revealed. Despite this, he stated that I could pick up my vehicle and pay $120 for the diagnostic after driving back and forth to the dealership twice in a single day. I then spoke to the service manager's boss who reduced the fee to $60 which was effectively a ransom for my car keys. At no point did they try to keep my business, they only cared about their profits. Good luck Mark Christopher - way to treat a USMC vet!! read more

Made an appointment (2 days out) showed up on time and was told it was a 2 hour wait for an oil change and that was IF I declined the complimentary wash which would take longer. My car was repaired quickly and she gave me follow up calls to let me know the status of my vehicle. As a former employee, I am surprised there are not more bad reviews. The sales staff are exactly that, they are sales people. You will find one good one but they are rare. Yes they will promise the world because guess what they are going to make a good profit from you. The vehicle service is also the same. This place operates like a typical car dealership, horrible. Personally, I think all GM dealerships are the same. I have not had any problems with Honda or Toyota. Anyways, that is not what my review is about. My parents purchased a vehicle after I warned them but the ad was just to good to turn down in their opinion. There was a stain in the seat, they took it back and the stain came back worse. Brought it back again, they dyed the seat! You can't do that! It will rub off on someone pants! Earlier today they dropped it off again, it was supposed to be finished at 12 and it's now 1 and they have not heard back from the service person. They can't get a hold of the salesperson either. My suggestion is if you are going to buy from this place, make sure you get everything you need before the purchase; the salespeople are ghost after the sale and leeching for a new sucker. P.S. The sales survey is top priority and they will even offer free gas (which is illegal), use that as a barter tool when necessary. read more

First and foremost when I purchased my vehicle everyone was great to me and I loved the dealership even referring 3 family members who purchased new vehicles (2015 Corvette, 2014 Suburban LZ & a 2014 Spark) from this dealer. So anyways I Took the vehicle in for a simple oil change and to check the AC since it has stopped working. Mind you my vehicle is a 2014 with 6000 miles on it. I was notified that their was 2 recalls on the vehicle that I knew nothing about and was never notified about via email or regular mail. They had my car for 4 days before even calling me to let me know anything. Come to find out they don't have the recall parts for one of the recalls so they would need to keep it longer. During this time I did my research on all GMC recalls and there is currently 4 recalls on my vehicle. I called the service agent to ask him what about these other recalls and he had no idea about them saying GM must not of contacted the dealer about the other 2 recalls. One of the recalls was on the seat belt anchors needed to be replaced cause the anchors were coming out of their welds. So basically wearing a seat belt is pointless cause in impact they could just come disconnected from the vehicle. So 6 days now they had my vehicle and I finally get a call at 5:55pm 5 minutes before they close letting me I know I could pick up the vehicle. I ask if 2 recalls they know about have been fixed and the agent response "No the seat belt recall was not fixed we are waiting for parts could take 1-2 weeks" I asked so you want me to drive my vehicle around with my children in the car with seat belts that can break at the welds? The sales manager responded "It's fine not that serious just drive carefully" REALLY??? So I asked the sales manager if he would drive his family around in it and he responded "I have a Tahoe so I'm not sure never drove a Acadia" Another backhanded response. Mind you this vehicle has a DO NOT SALE order with all dealerships due to these recalls. The dealership cannot even let customers test drive them right now but they want me to put my family at risk? I even asked about just trading the vehicle in and the sales manager didn't even try to sell me another car but kept sending me to the service manager to figure out what we were going to do. Ended up arguing with them for 2 hours about this and ended up leaving the vehicle there until they fixed everything cause there was no way in hell I was putting my family in it with the issues not being fixed. I will NEVER do business with this dealership ever again. I will be sending this to GM & every review board to make sure other potential customers do not get treated like that. End story after 10 days I finally got my vehicle back and now waiting until Mark Christopher gets recall notices from GM about the 2 new recalls which one is serious (gear shift cable) read more

8/9/2013 I get a phone call from a number who does not leave me a voice mail message. So I decide to call it back thinking it might be some one I want do deal with. Nope its Robert from Mark Christopher Chevrolet begging me to take down my review demanding me to take my review down telling me that he's going to be getting fired from it as the managers are giving him a lot of heat about it. I find this a bit strange as this happened more than 2 months ago and find it a bit harassing and surprising that Mark Christopher supports this kind of behavior. I hate leaving poor reviews. Set up service for one of our business trucks. Its a newer truck and was in for one of the free oil changes. Express service!! I had an employee there at 8:15AM the truck was finished at 1pm. 4 and a half hours for an oil change. I could have went anywhere else and been done in 20 min! this so call free service call cost me hundreds of dollars and 3 missed calls. Will never be coming back, no opology, no update to my employee just sit and wait for 4 and a half hours. read more

I will NEVER buy another car from this dealership we bought a Buick Encore from them & when my wife took it in for service "Dario " one of the service managers told her if you wanted better service you should have bought a Cadillac! I was absolutely disgusted with the constant lies told to us by Dario & I complained about him every time we went in but no action was ever taken against him he also told me & my wife a check engine light was normal..! NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS NORMAL! We where approached by a law firm to sue & or claim the lemon act on the car but we are not that type of people so we chose to get rid of the car through a dealership & purchased a Mercedes benz so we could finally be treated respectfully by a dealer & not treated like second class ..! read more
