We have not been going to Marker 32 as frequently lately as I am just eating vegetarian over the last year. That being said, I love the location, the staff and the vibe. We ventured over for a Sunday brunch a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it. We arrived right when they opened and scored a seat at one of our favorite window seats. I love their spa day drinks for brunch! So refreshing. I chose the French toast and the hubby had the breakfast plate. Service for food was a bit slow considering the number of patrons but we were not in a hurry so it was fine. It's definitely a nice brunch day location!

My husband and I love this place! Best restaurant in Jacksonville IMO :) I absolutely love their oysters-- cooked perfectly, great flavor. I get them every time we come. For entrees, my husband had the short rib, and I had the swordfish special. This was my first time eating swordfish and it did not disappoint. It was cooked very well- super fresh. Only thing I would change is that it was a little salty for my liking. My husband is still talking about the short rib with the risotto. He also convinced a friend of ours to try it when he went, and he was equally as happy with the dish. We ordered bread pudding for dessert. No complaints- nice end to the dinner. Our server checked on us appropriately and explained the specials well. He was friendly and attentive. Our view was beautiful as we were seated at the window overlooking the marina. Would like to come sometime and sit at the bar for happy hour- heard they have great specials.

Great spot on the water! And the service and food were wonderful. Melissa waitress was great, spot on regarding timing of orders, drink refills etc. in for party of 4 and enjoyed it. Good atmosphere, menu had some nice items like the deviled eggs, fried oysters and the smokes salmon apps.

Marker 32 has been a Jacksonville gem for Well Over a decade, and it's easy to see why. The food, the service, and the location right on the water make it a place I'll always recommend to friends and family visiting from out of town. I recently brought my aunt and uncle (visiting from Texas and Atlanta), and it was one of three places I suggested near their hotel. They absolutely loved their meal -- even though we didn't end up with a window seat as requested days in advance, the experience was still wonderful. If I could offer one small piece of constructive feedback, it would be this: I'd love to see a few fresh additions or seasonal updates to the menu. Everything on it is fantastic -- it's just been consistently the same for at least 15 years (which says a lot about how well-loved those dishes are!). A few rotating specials or new seasonal dishes would give regulars even more reason to keep coming back. Still, Marker 32 continues to deliver the kind of quality and hospitality that's very well appreciated. It's a true classic that remains one of my go-to recommendations for visitors and locals alike. I'd love to visit more often, eventhough I've never lived close to this restaurant. I'd make the trip more often for some fun, new additions on the food and drink menu.

A classy seafood establishment right on the water off Beach Blvd. High class, $$$, but you get the Elite experience. My father and I had a daddy daughter date here for this past Father's Day. We made a reservation in advance and came early to have a glass of wine at the bar. The FULLY STOCKED bar was large (not much separated from the dining area) and the bartender was friendly and professional. We looked at their red wine selection and asked the bartender for something fruity. The food was really very good, the steaks were tender, juicy, and cooked perfectly. The crème brûlée was delicious (my favorite). The atmosphere was (surprisingly) moderately quiet, ocean coloring prevailed - white, blue, dark wood, and ideal for semi-intimate dining and special occasions. I imagine it's more lively and loud on Friday/Saturday. I remember piano music playing from somewhere, which added to the appeal. Get a window seat and show up just before sunset. That way you get the pretty view in daytime, and IF you angle yourself just right, you'll enjoy that colorful evening glow fade into the dark ambience of an elegant night time dinner.

A first time ever that I woke up thinking about what I ate last night (for good reasons) . Amazing service, great drinks and by far the best food I have eaten at a restaurant in many years. Definitely in the top ten ever. Only open for a few hours a day, but they give it their all to ensure your experience is a great one. The staff works seamlessly together like a machine leaning in to full gaps (don't think that went unnoticed), and I seriously woke up thinking about how great the Atlantic Salmon and side of Grits and Cesar Salad were. Cooked perfectly, you could taste every ingredient in every bite, it was consistently delicious from start to finish. WOW! Also tasted the warm spinich salad and Airline Chicken: equally fantastic. Finished with a perfect creme brûlée and Kona coffee. Nothing bad to say about anything at Marker 32 and I could go on and on about all the good. I look forward to my next visit! A must go in Jacksonville!

First time here to celebrate my mom's birthday based on the good reviews here. But I left disappointed. Food: everything was too salty or spicy. If it's fresh seafood, it shouldn't be smothered in seasoning. The steak had too much pepper; fries were too soggy. Our waiter must have checked out by the time we arrived. We ordered the Caesar salad and he asked if we wanted anchovies with it. But it never arrived; he said he did not recall that we had ordered it. Drinks were empty and he didn't come by to ask for refills. I had to flag him down. Not sure why this place is still popular unless old habits die hard. If looking for an elevated dining experience, I'd pay a little more and go to 14 Prime instead. Won't be back.

Service at the bar was awesome from start to finish. We decided to order the food specials and were beyond pleased with every choice. The oysters were sweet, clean, and absolutely delicious. The salad with chipotle and figs was pure perfection--such a great balance of flavors. We also ordered the ribeye special with caramelized onions, and I honestly can't recommend it enough. Everything was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. We'll definitely be back!

I enjoyed another great dinner at Marker 32 last week with a group from work. We shared the tuna poke, mussels, & burrata of the moment appetizers. The poke and mussels were already favorites and the burrata with a berry compote was also a great choice. For my entree, I got Bistro Steak but substituted the pearl onion bordelaise for the peppercorn demi. It was cooked perfectly & the fries were very tasty. I fell in love with my cocktail choice- the Sippin' Sage. If you like raspberry & whisky, you have to try it!

I visited Marker 32 last Friday with friends. It was my first time and I was impressed! I had no idea this restaurant existed only a few miles from home. It's tucked in off Beach Blvd. Parking can be a little tricky, but they offered valet. We were fortunate to find a spot. My friend made reservations and we were seated quickly. We sat in the back behind the bar. I like this side because it was a little quieter than the front. Our server, who was fabulous, brought us water and complementary bread. I ordered the Bees Knees cocktail with Manifest gin, local honey syrup, lemon sour and orange blossom mist. Loved this drink which was light and refreshing! For our apps we shared deviled eggs & fried oysters (on top of the eggs). Very tasty. The M32 broiled oysters, my favorite, with bacon, pecorino, spinach and sun dried tomatoes. Lastly, oysters on the half shell. This was my second time eating raw oysters and they were very good. For dinner, I ordered the seared filet mignon with boursin fingerling potatoes, grilled asparagus, dukes ale onion jam and red wine demi (butter). The filet was cooked perfectly and each cut felt like slicing butter and each bite melted in my mouth. The sides were just as good. Everything was seasoned nicely. I shared my filet and in turn received a crab cake. The blue crab cake was meaty with not much filler, just how I like it! I had a few bites of my friends creme brûlée, which is not my favorite desert, but it satisfied my sweet craving. I also ordered the chocolate bananas after dinner drink. That was my least favorite of the night. Overall, I was impressed with the food and the service and look forward to my next visit!

Ambiance and service. The food is very tasty. There is a large variety once you get into the specials. This is a great birthday dinner spot or a special occasion go-to. The pork chop was on point.

We decided to take a visiting guest out on a Friday evening. We made sure to make reservations in advance as I know that the place can be packed. When we got there, there was the option of self Parking vs valet parking. I was able to get a spot in the self park section. We were seated about 5 minutes after our reservation time but to their credit, all the tables were occupied. All in all the service was great and the food tasted wonderful. We didn't wait long for our orders to arrive. The restaurant was loud from all the lively conversations but it seemed the guests there were enjoying the food and the company. This restaurant is suitable for a lively date night or entertaining visiting friends / family: They have a well stocked bar/ drink list and are able to modify for non alcoholic versions. We were not disappointed by the mocktails we ordered where we described the taste we wanted and left it up to the bartender to concoct tasty drinks that we enjoyed.

Quay was our personal server and I think he was our bartender too- although there was another person back and forth behind the bar. We added a little chaos to the mix with a handful of family who showed without rsvp-ing. Add in toddlers plus easily 15 people.... Yeah- mad respect for Quay!!! I admit to being sad that I couldn't get my broiled platter- that is my favorite Fish Camp dish, and apparently not available for lunch. I pivoted and got the steam pot for 2. For myself. And guess what- I ate all the crab, hmmm so happy! Laugh- it was hilarious, I was still cracking crab while everyone sung happy birthday! I was thrilled. I brought home most of the potatoes, corn and such- it even had mushrooms and broccoli! YUM! My old fashioned was also perfection in a glass. John had the shrimp and fish basket and loved every bite. Several raved about the shrimp and grits. Caron loved her mahi mahi. Connor got the Spicy Wild Caught Shrimp Linguine with White Wine, Garlic, Tomato, Pecorino and inhaled it! Even the kiddos were super happy with the kids chicken strips, although the kitchen delivered the first plate to the wrong toddler and the lovely parents didn't question how they got food without ordering and that little girl dug right in. Opposite end of the table- this grandma spoke up and we split the food so all the littles were fed. Considering our chaotic group, it went very well. I didn't hear a single complaint from our party. Hopefully we didn't drive the staff too crazy!

I used to absolutely love this place. It was our go-to for seafood, celebrations, family dinners,…read moreand special occasions for years. We recommended it constantly and genuinely enjoyed supporting them. Unfortunately, after our last few experiences, that loyalty is completely gone. The problems really started during a dinner visit with my spouse. We had a reservation for two and specifically requested a booth because my spouse has herniated discs and booths are much easier on her back. The hostess with glasses told us there were "no booths available for parties of two," so we were seated at a tiny two-top directly in front of an empty booth. Minutes later, another couple - who apparently didn't even have the correct downstairs reservation because Wheel House was closed for a private event - was seated in that exact booth instead. When I politely questioned it, I was told they were "accommodating them." Interesting, because apparently accommodating a medical issue for customers with a reservation didn't matter. Still, we decided to give the restaurant another chance for Mother's Day. To their credit, we were seated at a booth this time after I both noted it in the reservation and called ahead to confirm it. Our waiter was someone we immediately recognized from a previous visit, and my parents mentioned he had waited on us before at that same table. Somehow, from that comment alone, he became convinced we were related to Chef Tim Tillus. From there, things got bizarre. He kept talking about "Timmy," mentioning reunions and saying he used to live with him. The restaurant was extremely loud, and my father had forgotten his hearing aids that day, so honestly we could barely understand what he was talking about. We just smiled politely and focused on asking about the menu because we truly had no clue where the conversation was going. Eventually, he came back and realized we were NOT Chef Tim Tillus' family. He then explained that the kitchen staff had apparently been laughing because the chef saw us and said, "That's not my family." So somehow this became a whole ordeal in the kitchen over a completely innocent misunderstanding. We laughed awkwardly because what else do you do at that point? But honestly, the whole interaction felt strange and unprofessional. Unfortunately, the food was even worse than the awkward service. My spouse ordered the all-day seafood soup, and somehow there was basically ZERO seafood in it. That alone was shocking because their soups used to be incredible. My father ordered the broiled platter, and the portion size was honestly embarrassing for a $29 dish. His parsley potatoes consisted of literally five tiny cubes - my mother counted them because we were in disbelief. We have eaten here for years and NEVER saw portions this small. I ordered the fish special, and it was nothing like described. It was supposed to have pecans and blackening seasoning. There were no pecans, no blackening seasoning, and the fish itself was dry, bland, overcooked, and flavorless. For $32, I was served what looked like a tiny sad pile of fish in the middle of a giant empty plate. The pork chop looked beautiful but tasted absolutely awful. At this point I honestly don't know if the kitchen quality has completely collapsed or if nobody is checking food before it leaves the line anymore. Either way, it was terrible. My mother ordered scallops on the half shell as her meal - something she has enjoyed there many times before. This time, the scallops were tiny and somehow greasy. It was shocking these dishes were even leaving the kitchen. What makes this so disappointing is that we truly loved this restaurant. We weren't casual customers. We supported this place for years because we believed the food and experience were worth it. This wasn't just a mediocre meal or an "off night." This was a genuinely terrible dining experience from start to finish, made worse by the fact that it happened on Mother's Day. The service felt awkward and disorganized, the portions were insulting, the food quality was awful, and there seemed to be zero quality control happening anywhere. At this point, our money will be supporting other establishments instead. It's honestly sad because this place USED to be special. I sincerely hope management fixes the kitchen, consistency, and overall professionalism before even more longtime customers walk away.

I ordered the grilled salmon, & it was easily some of the freshest fish I've had lately. It was cooked to perfection, not dry at all, & the seasoning was spot on. The real star, though, was the key lime butter! It provided such a perfect, bright balance to the savory fish. For sides, I went with the spinach salad and a baked potato.
