3.5/5 -- was otw and had the chance to try !! lov the lady she is so nice and enthusiastic as the face / brand of this establishment. food is delicious, but nothing out of the ordinary.

DA BAT ( BOMB A** S***) wasn't disappointed at all with the flavor or the serving!!! Sheesh

What an experience!!! And a very great first time. I came in being cursed at for waiting in the parking lot for so long but when it was time to order she wasted no time getting straight to business and ensuring I got what the F*** I wanted. The meal she said I'd like was the " Bomb Ass Shit" and let me tell ya it was packed with some great flavor!!' The fried rice was so good I never been much of a chow mein person, but this fried rice was really savory. I also enjoyed the spicy beef it has some great season and the beef was cooked so well you could till this place took pride in the meats it's served and the fresh produce as well, I killed all my broccoli hahah. I had enough on my plate for two people but I ate as much as I could and brought the rest back home. Pro tip: cook and over medium egg the next morning, warm the rice on a frying pan or Nuke it, place the over medium egg on top of this amazing fried rice and you got yourself a bomb breakfast. The ambiance is spacey, relaxing and clean, before I walked in they were mopping the floors and cleaning all tables so I know how clean it is and how thorough they were to make sure it was prepared for the rush on a Friday evening. Overall I really enjoyed me Experience, people complain about the price but for me that was more than enough food for two people and the quality of meat, produce, chicken and authenticity of style of cooking, and that personality when you first come in is something you can't pay for, and an experience worth trying. I'll be back again and thank you for the amazing food.

After seeing a few posts I decided to drive over and give it a shot. Parking was a snap and plenty of room to navigate around, being noontime I expected more congestion but not today. I love walking into a restaurant with the aroma wafting through the air and with the colorful menu it's easy to get caught up looking at all the options. Being a shrimp fan I chose the spicy dish and mentioned to her that hot doesn't bother me, she said I'll be happy with the dish. I absolutely love the service and humor goes a long way when enjoying a "Big A** plate" , she wondered why I haven't been there before this, but Fresno is a very big city and I'm sure there are other places I haven't been to either. I used chop sticks for sampling which created a smile on her face and an expression of appreciation was noticed. Check the pictures and see what you think.

Shrimp Fried Rice- super flavorful both protein and rice. Everything was so fresh.

Food 5/5 Fresh, flavorful, affordable and loaded Service 5/5 All fun Ambiance 5/5 Chill Parking 5/5 Enough for about 15 cars wrapping from side to back to the other side. Restaurant 3.7/5 not decorated as others, simple and good amount of seating but who cares for it when the food is what matters Mark's kitchen is a family owned and operated serving a bunch of deliciousness from regular Chinese food to a few American items for the picky eaters. Killing two birds with one stone, excellent idea. Arriving to steady customers coming and going in the early mornings from Vegas, Bakersfield, locals and of course the capital visitor (that's me) . Helen is full of spirit from arriving in, taking orders, and having the customers tried the food before paying. (Love her rules). Her upbeat spirit, the crazy menu names (lol) and the way she curses and treat you like a regular just have you feeling right at home. She is like an "EVERYONE Auntie." What you see on social media is not a front and the food is amazing as well. I'm so glad that I stopped by and give this amazing business a try and Mark's is a must MARK as a designated stop. FYI: Bring cash if you will make a big deal on paying the extra $1.50 for fee. She asked if I was getting a soda. I told her I have water. She allowed me to bring my own drink in telling to go get it. Lol

Went because of the viral videos and was not disappointed. The lady who takes your order is really funny and energetic. If foul language bothers you; just move on this is not the place for you. The food was very good. I loved everything. Next time I think it would be worth our money to get two ; two meat special plates rather than one with three meat for the price. Great flavor, good portions, TONS of options. I'm sure you'll find something you like. I will definitely go back. I believe are said they have been open for 26 years. There is inside seating, plenty of parking, area is a bit sketch but we enjoyed our meal in the dining room without any issues.

The food is good and the owner is a real character. She likes to tease and joke around with the customers, but it's all in good fun! I had the chow mien noodles with beef. The noodles were cooked just right and had lost of vegetables mixed in with them. The beef was tasty and a little bit crispy at the edges. There was a lot of food, so I had leftovers. Yes, they were still good the next day! It's very casual inside, so don't expect white linen tablecloths or crystal glassware. Just good food and fun.

Great experience! The portions are huge, the food is very tasty, and there are so many good flavors in every dish. The lady working there was so funny, sweet, and genuinely caring, which made the visit even better. There was no wait and the food came out quickly. Definitely a spot we'd come back to.

Spicy shrimp, vegetable chow mein and fried rice. Orange chicken, spicy Mongolian beef and broccoli, vegetable chow mein

Honestly we feel like we were overcharged. We both asked for spicy. My shrimp was flavorless and the jalapeños they added had no kick. I had that with vegetables rice and noodles. My husband had vegetables noodles with orange chicken and spicy Mongolian beef and broccoli. No kick and little flavor. Online menu needs to be updated as well. I questioned the price and was handed the receipt and she turned and walked away. She is a very funny lady but really not worth the hype. But we tried

Food: 5 Mics Service: 5 Mics Ambiance: 4 Mics Food: Get ready to eat at this viral restaurant. You want food? You will get fed. The places are generous and loaded. The food is pretty tasty and don't get lost in the menu that boasts over 50 items. Service: Prepare yourself... Ambiance: It's your typical go-to, hole in the wall corner Chinese Restaurant. Stop in, eat and get ready for some laughs. This lady has no filter...

This was my first time here and I didn't know what to order. Helen was very nice and asked if I wanted some chicken or a lot of chicken. A lot of chicken would've been $30. Some chicken is $25. She asked if I liked spicy I said absolutely so she said she was gonna put jalapeños on it. It was good food and I was able to make two meals out of it. Bring cash so you won't have to pay extra charges on a credit card.

We may have ordered too much. Their portions are huge June 2025

Helen is who brings people in, but her & the food is what brings people back. We've been here multiple times since moving here temporarily. Helen is always nice & fun to hang with while waiting on your order. The food always tastes fresh & they have huge portions. They are on the pricier side but you do get big portions. *HEADS UP TO PARENTS WITH YOUNG KIDS The only reason why I deducted 1 star is because Helen will not (& I don't expect her too) filter her cursing at all when there are little kids around. Our 1st time coming here we had family in town that wanted to go, so I sent them in first to order while I stayed in the car with my 3 kids. I figured if they went in 1st they could have their "experience" & make a video of Helen talking smack & cursing at them (like all the viral social media clips.) I was hoping that after they got their video & they called me to come in so I could order with my kids that she would tone it down a bit, NOPE. She was dropping F bombs like crazy in front of my 3 kids under 10 years old. My visiting family said they she started cussing even more once I came in with my little kids. I'm not raising soft kids, but I thought it was pretty disrespectful on her part since she no longer needed to put on a show for anyone since we were the only customers in there. We've been there numerous times since but our kids never want to go in so we always get our food to go. Just a heads up for parents.

I had to come try Aunty's food when I was leaving LA even though it was out of my way going home it was worth the detour. The food was beyond amazing super flavorful huge portions. Surprisingly, it wasn't super busy If this place was located in the area that I live in, I would definitely get it on a regular And the bomb azz sht it's not super spicy so go ahead and get it

Ask the Community - Mark's Kitchen

    Does she record everybody?

She is not constantly recording. If that helps. Actually when I went in, she was asked by a customer to record their reactions.

    Is there anything vegan?

I think they can make any of their dishes vegetarian. Remember, it's Chinese food. It can be made without meat. Now get out there and enjoy yourself.

Is the seafood and poultry fried in different oil baskets?

    What do you think 🤔🤔🤔🤣🤣🤣

Is the food good and worth the price?

No the food was not worth the price, even if they charged half of what I paid. I would not be returning

    What time do they close?

Your food is made to order so you can customize everything. There are only two workers (husband and wife) so give them time. This isn't Panda Express. They do close everyday (I think it's 2:00 - 4:30). They do not answer the phone due to the high volume of customers. The line can be almost out the door if you come as soon as they reopen or anywhere near 5pm. It's small so you cannot dine in. What I like is you can see everything them cooking your meal fresh to order. I have a very small family and IMO, one place feeds 3 of us. I am NOT one about quantity, but I weighed my plate out of curiosity last time. It was over 3 lbs! BTW, I love their chow mein. I ask for extra cabbage and onion. Juicy and flavorful. Other suggestions are: orange chicken, teriyaki chicken, Mongolian beef, à la carte BBQ pork fried rice (extra green onion), egg rolls and chicken wings. To me it's with the wait to have fresh customized food at EXTREMELY economy friendly prices. I always tip. One of my favorite spots!

The family dinner comes with a bowl of sizzling rice soup, An egg roll a pot sticker and foil wrapped chicken. My entree was crispy beef and my husband's entree was Kung pao chicken. Start off the soup was very flavorful, Definitely not your ordinary soup that you would find in the most places to start. The egg roll was a straight veggie roll but it was crispy and flavorful. The pot sticker was probably one of the best I've had in town, The wrapper was not too thick, Silky, Slightly crispy, And the filling was light and delicious not heavy. The Foil wrapped chicken Was different than any other place in that it was lighter and not overburdened with a salty sauce. As far as the entrees, My crispy beef was amazing, So crispy, With a delicious sauce. My husband's Kung pao chicken was so tasty, Everything was fresh and the chicken was not dry. The only downside to our entrees was that they were listed as spicy, But I think you have to ask for really spicy if you look like you can't handle it or something I don't know it just wasn't spicy at all. There is finally a reasonably priced Chinese take-out option in town that I actually like. The Mongolian Beef featured tender, flavorful slices of meat paired with crisp, plentiful vegetables. The sauce complemented the dish rather than overwhelming it, and it was not overly greasy. The Garlic Chicken was also good, coated in a savory, slightly sweet soy glaze. The meat was soft and perfectly cooked, again accompanied by fresh, crunchy vegetables. Many of the dishes here are authentically Cantonese-style: savory, built around fresh ingredients, lightly sauced, and never excessively oily. Portions are generous as well. This stands in stark contrast to many other Chinese take-out spots I have tried, where the food leans salty, oversauced, and made with cheaper ingredients -- and becomes practically inedible once it cools down. Judging by the simple décor and limited seating, it is clear this restaurant prioritizes cooking over ambiance. Most customers opt for take-out, which likely helps keep prices affordable. Service is warm and efficient. You are greeted as soon as you walk in, and staff members are ready with ordering help and suggestions. Most lunch plates are $10.25 and come with steamed rice or chow mein, or pork fried rice for an additional $2. Lunch plates are offered daily from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM, including weekends. The menu covers a broad range of Cantonese and Szechuan favorites -- Kung Pao Chicken, Walnut Shrimp, General Tao Chicken, Szechuan Beef, chow mein, chow fun, plus several soups and fried rice options. Combination plates start at $12.90, and the family specials (three dishes for $41) are a solid value. All in all, it is a great spot for anyone craving affordable, satisfying Chinese food -- especially students and anyone on a tight budget.
