Tonight we ordered the guac for HH, and the size was pretty small - but honestly the flavor was so great it didn't matter. Yum! Loved the presentation, too. I also ordered the Chicken Casado, and it was perfect. Lots of flavor, savory, sweet, not too spicy (but the peppers on the table will add spice if ya want!), and filling without being greasy. Delicious and inspired food! The servings are generous. All the staff members are friendly and provide great service. We stopped in after seeing their tik tok account post some new drinks. Went to Marna's on a Friday night with my boyfriend. He has been here before and really wanted me to try it. We were able to sit outside in the patio area. It was a beautiful fall evening. Our server was incredibly scattered and unorganized. Forgetting drink orders, forgetting to bring refills, forgetting actual food orders. However, the food was spectacular. Absolutely incredible. I picked the Arroz con Camarones and the entire dish was tasty. The shrimp were plump, the rice was cooked to perfection, the slaw added a lot of taste and texture to the dish and the sweet plantains were the perfect addition. The Cuban was really tasty I like the pulled pork on it the best the bread was crispy and all the flavors played well together. There was a little to much mustard for me but I generally don't like mustard at all, not overpowering but next time I will ask for light mustard. The soup is so good I am going to order some more to take home, rich hearty and just the right level of spices/flavor!! The gallo pinto is amazing!! I savored every bite. Then I had an iced coffee w/ tres leches that also did not disappoint. (I recommend asking for it to be made less sweet.) The atmosphere is honestly a little odd, but not bad. Just no clear design and not a lot of tables. Half of the room is a sort of store where they sell handmade goods (like jewelry, pickles, marshmallows, etc.) This doesn't make sense to me. I wish there had been more seating and a variety of places to sit. There were only a few large tables, a comfy seating area, and a bar with stools. Where are the tables for 1-2 people? And the decor was a little random (no clear theme or design aesthetic), BUT... the food was great and that's what counts! I look forward to returning to try something new! read more

Ok! This place is an absolute Gem... It all started with Brandon, the Bar Tender, what a tour guide! This guy, he definitely knows his Cocktails! I said bourbon and he responded with "La Hacienda"! Folks, I felt like I was on my vacation with that cocktail. Now for the full spread, crispy dry rub bone in wings, took me to another place, totally... For the main entree, I went with "Bistec Encebollado" (Steak... prep'd to your preference but thin sliced), priceless!!!! Lastly, and since I was on a roll, trust me...I really had to.... I wish I could give this place 5 stars because their food is incredible, but I had a really terrible customer service experience. I ordered online through Bite Squad five hours in advance for a scheduled pick up because we had an extremely busy evening. When we arrived at the restaurant they had no receipt of our order. Bite Squad's delay in notifying us was super inappropriate and we're addressing that directly with them. That being said, I received an email from Bite Squad that they submitted the order to Marna's several times, including trying to call them over ten times to get it resolved and they would not pick up the phone. Um, it appears something is wrong with the system here. Instead of sympathizing with us, your entire staff acted incredibly annoyed and had zero interest in helping us resolve the issue. When something like this happens you expect a restaurant to at least act like they care, including trying to accommodate you especially after I showed you my phone with proof that I placed the order. Upon offering us zero solution to resolve the issue, I asked them if they could make the food we ordered (obviously we needed dinner). It seemed like a huge effort for them to make it happen but they eventually did, telling us we could wait in our car or in their "lounge" until it was done and then we paid full price. I'm not mad I had to pay, I just felt as though your staff could've been sympathetic. There were zero "I'm sorry's" or "our apologies." I'm not sure if we'll make it back which is a shame. read more

Crispy pork belly app - taste good, could have been more tender and melt in your mouth but not bad, 3.5/5 Arroz con pollo - simple yet delicious, would recommend for anyone, adventurous or not, 4/5. $13 Mahi Mahi - crispy fish over a generous bed of delicious rice, 4.5/5. Made early 5:00 dinner reservations. Initially hostess tried to sit us at a table for 2 right in front of the kitchen where all the servers were huddled together. Then she took us to the very back of a "second" dining room which appeared that they were still cleaning. We asked to sit in the main dining room as it was our first time there and we wanted to enjoy the vibe. Hostess said we couldn't because those tables were for other diners. She just left us standing there for a minute and reluctantly sat us at a table for 4 in the corner of the main dining room. They brought out our wine and within minutes served our appetizers and entrees together. I hate eating at a place that does that. Didn't even get time to relax. My $14 tacos were great, but my side of black beans were cold. My main issue is that they add an employee wellness fee of 10%. Why should the patrons pay for the restaurant's employees wellness? No one pays for my wellness. Beware they don't bring you an actual check. They hand you what looked like a cell phone and hover over you as you sign. There were only suggested tips to choose from. No way to add your own choice of a tip. Friday night out and we were in and out in less than 60 minutes. Marnas won't be my choice again. read more

I had the El Dorado. Everything was so flavorful. It was perfect. Another person ordered the burger and it was a pretty normal albeit spicy/flavorful (not actually spicy) beef burger. The mimosa flight was a wonderful start - unique flavors and plenty for two to share. We shared the chicken and waffles and the vegetarian avocado toast. We had the pleasure of stopping in last night with some friends. We had reservations at Travail's Basement Bar later that evening, but needed to eat something before our time. We are SOOOO glad we did. It's located in the original Travail location, which was most recently Pig Ate My Pizza. We walked in, and got seated right away. It took us a bit of time to recognize it, but it became obvious after a bit. The space seemed so much more open now, with fewer tables and much brighter. On first glance, the menu looked fabulous. They serve Costa Rican inspired dishes, and looked so tasty. The prices were great, and the drinks smacked of Caribbean vibes, which brought back some good memories from a recent Caribbean cruise. They had some GOOD liquor at some GREAT prices, in addition to some tasty looking cocktails. I ordered their rum old fashioned. It was lovely, with a perfect balance of flavor and booziness. As for dinner, I was leaning towards and Arepa, but the burger special (I apologize for not remembering the name) was the final choice. I figured that I would be able to order the Arepa next time. It was a mixture of beef and chorizo. It was fantastic. Smoky with a hint of spice, and just a wonderful, rich flavor. It was served with celery root fries. Wow. Simply wow. It was a fantastic burger, and one I would most definitely order again (I freely admit I'm a burger snob). My wife ordered the calamari and plantains. The calamari was perfect. Tender, the breading stuck to it well, and perfectly cooked. They were not chewy at all. The plantains were even better. A perfect caramelization to them, and finished with cheese. An excellent balance of sweet and salty, and definitely hit the spot. Some of the best we've had locally. Our group ordered the cornbread as a dessert. The honey butter we covered it in seeped in and made every bite moist, sweet, and a little salty. A very good finish to a fabulous unplanned dinner. Can't wait to come back for another meal. I can only imagine how fantastic their breakfasts are. Looking forward to finding out! We make pretty good fajitas at home but let me tell you, Marna's was top notch! Elevated the typical fajita night in our household... The meat trio was juicy and flavorful, homemade tortilla chips, guac, and elotes were BOMB! This was a special reheat at home offering and even the corn elotes reheated perfectly! We've had maybe five meals here, including a takeaway holiday meal (motivated in part by supporting a nice local spot during the pandemic-lean months). The Costa-Rican-inspired food's distinctive and tasty, and served in refreshingly moderate portions. Their small set of specialty drinks has more than one option that appeals to me, which is unusual. Second order we did the family feast of fajitas and you got a ton of food--three kinds of meat, tortillas, beans, rice, salsa guacamole and chips.
