While I did not purchase roofing services from Mark, I did reach out to him a few months ago about a ~100 year-old leaking slate roof in need of repair. I had some work done on the exterior of my house over the summer and one of the workers pointed out a big ole rip on the pitch of my slate roof along with cracks on some of the slates. Originally I was going to have one of the guys "fix" it but of course I wanted to know the general process of repairing slate roofs and I soon realized it is a specialty field and not anyone can or should be repairing slate roofs. So I went on yelp and found Mark and called him for an estimate. He basically showed up the next day and took pictures of the parts of the roof that needed repairs. He told me what needed to get done and how much it would cost-- which was was reasonable and I'd much rather go with the guy with 30 plus years slate roof experience-- so I went with Mark. He showed up on time and as he told me- would be a one day job. As the work was being done, of course more roof issues came to light and Mark gave me a discount on the job and did a few things for free.
