Great staff! So attentive and kind. Will definitely be back! We got the brisket nachos and they are totally worth the price! So much food! We split it between 3 people and still had leftovers. Good selection of beers as well. The only disappointment is that they don't serve the full menu outside, wish we could have had more options. Was dragged here by some family members who live out here and I drove for about 45 minutes so I was hoping it was gonna be worth it. I was satisfied after I left even with the drive there and back. We got there kinda early and we sat outside in the backyard picnic tables which I really liked. Haden was our server and he was a nice guy especially with all the demands the ladies were asking of him and answering all their questions. I felt bad for him because they were quizzing him on everything but he stuck with it and held his own. He brought me their Old fashioned bourbon drink and I was very happy after sitting down from the drive and sipping on that. We ordered a few "backyard bites" from the menu and let me tell you that I can down some spicy foods and their jalapeno popper kicked my ass (see photo). I managed to eat it in 4 bites but the first bite it went down the wrong pipe, coughed, watery eyes and lost my voice for about 2 minutes so you know it's good. So I'm like okay totally underestimated these people so I ate two more bites slowly and it was smooth. Thought I was a tough guy again and ate the 4th bite quickly and lost my voice again and eyes watered again. So that right there I already like this place and was excited to eat dinner. We were having so much fun outside but found out that they dont serve the main menu out there so we had to move from outside picnic table to inside normal table but not that big of a deal. I had the brisket tacos and they were good but kinda dry but nothing to complain about. The other people in my party all loved their dishes and my wife was going on about how good her food was on the way home. It got really crowded towards the end of the night and seems like the place to be with families, couples and singles. Live music, good food for sure and the drinks were awesome. Haden was holding it down in the backyard we went back out there after dinner to have one more drink before we left. I will go back there when I am in the part of town again and try to do the exact same thing. read more

In Denton visiting friends and went to Marty Bs tonight. Not only was the food delicious (had the ribs and smoked Turkey) but every staff member we came in contact with was a delight. Smiling and friendly. Would highly recommend the ooey gooey toffee crunch dessert. It was a wonderful experience and would return the next time we are in the area. read more

Awesome atmosphere and service! We have been wanting to eat here for some time and they didn't disappoint. We went on a Saturday afternoon and got right in. We sat outside in the shade and it was perfect. I had the brisket tacos, husband had brisket bowl and my daughter had the wings. We waited for quite awhile before giving this place a try. There was a lot of hype, and even some controversy (local newspapers over the nighttime noise), as well as reports of some kinks to be worked out. So, it was with some mixed expectations that we finally gave Marty B's a whirl. We tried to come in for an early dinner and beat the expected crowds, and it worked. Our kids had the run of the outdoor area for the whole time we were waiting for our order -- about 25-30 minutes! The positive side of that was that the outdoor area is very nice. They really did a great job designing it, keeping it clean, and it works for children (and as we soon saw) adults with beverages. The downside was that 25 minutes was a bit long to wait, considering the menu consists of a somewhat restricted selection - burgers, barbecue and tex-mex - smoked meat, served in various ways. This was even confirmed by our waiter. So, the food came out piecemeal. Unfortunately, some of the adults' food came out, followed by several minutes more waiting before the kids meals came out. That almost always causes some unhappy children, as it did in this case too. In our family, we don't pray and eat until everyone has there food anyway. Our burgers (3 of the 4 adult meals) were warm and not really hot to begin with, and of course while waiting for the kids meals, everything cooled quite a bit. When the food finally came out, the waiter said he would be right back with ketchup and mustard, which we then had to wait for - kids wouldn't eat without it, same for some of the burger eaters. The food overall was not very impressive, but not bad. It certainly lost some of the shine from both the wait, and the price - by no means did I feel the value and price were compatible. Adding to the equation overall, the staff generally gave the impression of boredom/indifference. While our waiter was polite, in addition to the waiting, we all perceived a kind of sarcastic undertone. Altogether, Marty B's just wasn't our vibe. I did see a lot of couples and mixed adult groups enjoying the drinks and atmosphere, but we probably won't be going back. read more

This is a very busy place on Sunday afternoon. We did not have to wait too long. The food is ok. If you order their wings, beware, we had 2 people order these, they looked like they came from a Cornish hen, I have never seen wings this small, ever! The server said you get 10 to 14 in an order. Maybe 3 of these add up to the size of one normal wing. The dry rub was very good. Service was ok. Drinks were not filled, had to keep asking. One order was wrong had to sit and wait for some one to fix it. The servers need more help or less tables. It is a large place and has a lot of outdoor seating. read more

Marty B's never disappoints and is our go to for any family get-together. From birthdays to engagement parties to last night's celebration of my daughter-in-law becoming an American citizen, this is the perfect place for great-grandparents to great grandchildren and the generations in between to come together. From the relaxed and fun atmosphere to the great food and cocktails to the always excellent service, we could not be happier. This was a very loud place to go eat. I was joined by 4 other ladies at a table inside the restaurant. It was very difficult to hear one another speak. If you have any hearing loss, do not eat in the restaurant. I by the way do not suffer a hearing loss. You could try getting a table outside and that may be what we do if we go back in a few months. I ordered the Marty B's salad which would have been pretty good, but I knew as I ordered to not get the jalepeno ranch dressing, even though the servers said how good it was. So the server suggested regular ranch and that was a good suggestion. When I got my salad , I poured the dressing on and it seemed okay at first. Then the heat kicked in. I wondered if the brisket was hot as I assumed I got the regular ranch. I ate a bit and waited for a sever to come by. I told her how it seemed hot, and she kindly offered to replace it. I should have done that. Instead , I asked for some ranch dressing to drown out the heat. It helped some but made it heavy. Wrong decision on my part. So I ate about half of it and left it at that. The brisket was very good though. I would only go back if I ate outside due to the noise inside. read more

Love that this place accommodates both going out with friends or family dinners, they do it all here. Started outside eating some snack foods with some drinks, listening to the live band, and went inside once our table was ready. Tried a little bit of everybody's plates and NOTHING dissapointed. My second visit, really enjoyed everything about the first visit last year coming through DFW from food and service as well as the cool setting. Pretty disappointed in my second visit so they get an overall 2.5/5. Food was average and service started well then never saw our server again except when I asked about missing items from our order that we never received or asked to please pay to leave. I was visiting from DC and wanted some good Texas bbq. This place was near where I was staying so my friend and I decided to stop by. BEST DECISION EVER!!! The food was great, especially the ribs and street corn, I have no pictures because it looked so good we dug right in. I also had the henny margarita which I had never heard of, it was a tasty cocktail. Our server Mike was great. He made great recommendations and had an awesome personality. I'll definitely tell my Flower mound family about this place and I'll be sure to come back whenever I visit. I will admit the chicken wasn't as amazing, but those ribs and corn made up for it. read more
