I've been to the Cupertino location and am so glad there is a location closer to me now. Went for dinner around 6:45 and there was no wait. They had a special, dry ramen with wagyu so I ordered that along with the marufuku buns and some chashu pork. Everything was incredibly delicious and the staff was super attentive and very very nice.

We've had lunch here twice and both times the food was excellent. Over the two visits, we had the Hakata Tonkotsu (both mild and med spicy), Chicken Paitan, gyoza, chicken karaage, and shrimp tempura buns. The ramen noodles and the broths were all superb. the karaage and gyoza were very good. The shrimp tempura buns looked nice but were not our favorite - maybe it was the sauce. Probably a matter of preference and not a reflection of how it was prepared. Next time we will try the pork belly buns. Service was excellent. Food was delivered quickly. Seating was comfortable and the interior is spacious and can handle a crowd. This is now our go-to place for ramen in the area.

Was supposed to be mild but ended up spicy

This Marufuku location lives up to the Marufuku Ramen name. Our party was seated inside immediately during Saturday lunch. I ordered the Hakata Tonkatsu and asked for it to be mild spice. It came with a bit of color so I thought that's what made it different from no spice. It ended up that they switched my soup base with my nephew's spicy. I ate through it but he was probably disappointed since he likes spiciness. He ended up ordering more noodles so I gave him my remaining broth. Before the spiciness really hit, I thought it was super flavorful and ate all the contents except the soup. Definitely still one of my favorite ramen places.

    2nd best option.

Sit outdoors and enjoy Or the bar as I did tonight! The best seller, pork Ramen is good stuff here just a little shy on the portions of protein! Servers all friendly and place is a casual fun hang that's affordable... Pruneyard is busy!!! Parking , take a deep breath

Fresh, flavorful, and hits the spot. Marufuku is a solid new addition -- modern decor, and I love how the staff greets you in unison when you walk in. The Spicy Tan Tan ramen was great -- broth was rich and flavorful, noodles soft and just right. The Tori Momo chicken thigh skewers were really good too. But the real star? The karaage chicken bowl with green onions and sesame seaweed -- absolutely loved it. Service was quick and the vibe feels fresh without trying too hard. Highly recommended if you're in the mood for ramen done right.

Food was okay but service terrible. Never came to re fill waters or see if we needed anything. Had to finally call someone over to bring the bill.

I tried the mazesoba here, and it was amazing!! I've tried a bunch of different soup-less ramens, but this lands in my top 5. The sauce was flavorful, and everything was just generally super tasty. The dish is about $18, and you do have to pay for the rice at the end if you want to use it to soak up the leftover sauce you have (I think the sign referring to this might be misleading). Overall, the experience was solid and the service was quick!

We came here for an evening date and it was great because we got seated outside while the day was nice. Our server was polite and helped us out with choosing our order. The food was delicious the noodles were soft and chewy and the broth from the ramen was smooth and silky. Oh and takoyaki was amazing I grew up in Japantown and these reminded me of my childhood days in my old neighborhood.

This Marufuku Ramen is located near the center courtyard of the Pruneyard and next to Humphry Slocombe Ice Creamery. They have inside and outside dining options available. They do have a bar area with seats to watch tv. Pro-Tip: Get on to their online Waitlist beforehand if possible. My server was Thet Thu Thu and she was friendly, courteous, and attentive. Hakata Tonkotsu: Hakata-Style Ramen with rich pork broth. Chasu pork (simmered pork belly), seasoned soft boiled egg, green onions, kikurage mushrooms, beansprouts, pickled ginger, and sesame seeds (4/5). First off, you can really enjoy the silky, smooth, milky hot broth. Personally, I prefer the thicker noodles, but the thinner noodle is their Hakata style. The egg was PERFECT. It was creamy, runny, and heated perfectly. Sometimes, it comes right out of the refrigerator and its solid. Nope, not here. It was perfect. I said it twice. The chasu was paper thin BUT super flavorful!!! We will be back. Come support this local business.

Ramen spot with gluten free noodles, but also skewers, bowls, and few other items. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3 Opentableable: no reservations, Yelp waitlist Return worthiness: sure Highlights: - Gluten free noodles: love this option and tasted great with good smooth texture. 4 stars - Tonkatsu ramen: silky rich. Got the version with kakuni which was tender plus few snl slices of cha sui. Perfect ramen egg. Nice uneven crafty bowls were a nice touch. Only knock is got medium spice and didn't taste any, but had spice on the table to add. 4 stars - Sake: few version by the glass for $11 - Menu variety: had set of skewer options, katsu curry, and few bowls which was nice for if you wanna bring a non ramen fan. - Some kind of trendy light up bag drink lots people got looked fun. - Kid friendly: tons of kids Midlight: - Pruneyard so parking lots can get crowded Lowlight: - Pork belly skewer: my dad did not enjoy it cause it was too chewy and fatty (and he usually likes fat so that's saying something). 2 stars - Used the Yelp waitlist but I wasn't in the list. Then later got a text when I had been seated for a while that my table was ready.

The absolute standout of this place was the service, and more specifically, our server. I didn't catch his name, but he was a gentleman with shoulder-length dirty blond/light brown hair and a beard, and he was hands down the best part of the entire experience. He checked on us often without ever being intrusive, was genuinely warm and friendly, and every time we thanked him, he responded with the sweetest, most gracious "you're very, very welcome." You can tell when someone is just doing their job, and you can tell when someone is truly exceptional -- he was exceptional. Management, if you read these reviews, please recognize him. He deserves a raise. As for the food, it was okay, but definitely not the star of the show. It wasn't bad, just not memorable, especially for the price. The portions were also surprisingly small for something labeled "deluxe," which made it feel even less worth the cost. That said, the ambiance was nice, but the real reason this review is getting written is because of that server. He brought the kind of energy and care that makes people want to come back, even when the food itself doesn't quite justify the price. Give that man a raise -- he earned it.

Went to The Pruneyard for a different restaurant but there was a wait. They told us 30 minutes and we put our name down and went for a walk. Stumbled across Marifuku and they were searing immediately so we canceled out of the first place and took a seat. The wait staff were great. Nice greeting, efficient, and courteous. We ordered the chicken karaage to start and it came out fast and piping hot. It came with a sauce but honestly it didn't need it. It was delicious! Our mains came out shortly after we finished our appetizer. I'm told that the veggie ramen was delicious and so was my A5 Maze Soba. The menu recommended adding rice to the Maze Soba but I opted not to. The ramen was chewy and tasty. The ramen egg was cooked to perfection. I'm glad we ended up eating here and I'll definitely be back again.

We were able to park on a side street & walk. Just a couple of blocks. They saw we were on the list & were seated right away. We chose to sit out on the patio. They had fans going, so the temperature was perfect. We were immediately served water in large containers. Helpful so we didn't have to ask for refills. (Our container emptied one time, and without asking, we were immediately brought another one.) You scan a barcode at your table on your phone to get the menu & order. I wasn't so sure about it being I'm technically challenged. Lol We had our 19yr old son with us though, and he loved it. Also helpful if you're going to split the bill. You just use your own phone. They have a big "heat level" chart on the wall that is helpful to see before you order. I got the sweet butter corn ramen & loved it. We all got our ramen within about 10-15min of ordering. Perfect size serving. Best ramen I've ever had! The broth was so flavorful & noodles perfect. I loved the way the egg was done. I got heat level one, which I thought had a nice spice to it. I tried my son's who ordered level 2 & it was a bit too spicy for me. When you order, they give you a bunch of options to check. What type noodles, extra egg, type of meat, add-ons, etc. I removed the bamboo shoots from mine. I would definitely go back & possibly try a different ramen, but knowing me, I'll get the same but probably add mushrooms. Other thing I thought was cute... there was a thin slice of what looked & tasted like imitation crab in the ramen. I had one slice & my son 2. Turns out it's to signify what heat level you got! As we left, I did see a waitress helping a table & showing them how to use their phone & order. So, if that is a concern, you'll get help!

While waiting for my car to get serviced I decided that that day I would finally try Marufuku. I had heard so many good things about it. My buddy worked a half-day and offered to scoop me up from the dealership to hit Marufuku. How could I say no? We arrived and luckily were sat right away. I know MR gets packed and wait times can me long. That day Lady Luck was on our side. We started out with gyoza, because that's what you do. I ordered the Hakata Tonkatsu DX with medium spice. My buddy had the Chashu Bowl. My ramen was simply a bowl of heaven...with a little hellfire. Medium Spice is pretty spicy. But oh-so-good. I believe it's been one of the best bowls I have had in the Bay Area. I am a Ramen-phile (is that a word?) and I simply loved the bowl. So much so, I am trying to figure out when I can make my way down there. The gyoza was also very, very good. True Japanese-style, which is different from Chinese pot-stickers. I could have eaten another order without feeling guilty. My buddy enjoyed his Chashu bowl and finished it quite quickly. Service was also good--quick, efficient and polite. Very nice. In closing, it is a great ramen house and I will most definitely go back. And now for the pics.

The atmosphere is lively with tables/booths small and large. The decor boasts all of their locations worldwide, along with a traditional Japanese decor. The restaurant is clean! We ordered quite a lot: The cucumbers dressed in chili oil and sesame oil, chili oil gyoza, chicken karaage, and takoyaki balls. Of these apps, I would say the takoyaki and cucumber dishes were my favorite! The cucmbers (all though simple) were carried by the sesame oil and the smallest kick of chili oil flavor. It was fresh and the remaining sauce on the plate helped provide a dipping sauce for the other dishes which were quite lacking in flavor (gyoza + karaage, imo). I ordered the akamaru modern tonkotsu ramen. That was TASTY for real. Broth is lighter than what you may think of tonkotsu (typically thick and heavy) and the noodles were the thin ones which were PERFECT. IMHO: thin noodles are BETTER than thick noodles. My friend tried some of mine and they said they liked mine better than theirs (spicy miso ramen). I would come back for certain!

They have salmon oshi here. That was pretty good. I did find it a little small though, but the ratio of fish to rice was good at least. As for the ramen, the birria ramen was very unique and tasted very good, though not really like ramen. But that's the intent. The birria was great and the toppings went well with it. It was a lot of birria, so I would say it was worth the price of $20 But the tan tan men lacked in flavor. There was no spice and broth tasted like mild sesame, and not very strong. The ground meat and the toppings were ok, but nothing to note about. It was cheaper than the birria ramen, but I wouldn't say it was worth the price so I can't recommend it, as I have had better at Kura sushi, which isn't a high bar to clear. Everything was $78 post tax and tip, so I did feel this restaurant was a bit overpriced for what I paid for, as I can get better tasting tan tan men and good sushi for slightly cheaper. But then again, I don't know many places that have birria ramen or salmon oshi. I am definitely torn between 3 or 4 stars so I put 4 stars so people will read this review. The servers were nice though and interior was cute and cozy. I liked the street aesthetic of it.

Wow. I am surprised there are already so many posts about the service of this place. Well.. here is…read moreanother one. My family and I had been eating at JINYA at Oakridge for quite some time. However, about 2 weeks ago, we arrived for lunch with a party of five. The restaurant was not busy, and there was no one else waiting. We requested to have two adjacent tables (a 2-top and a 4-top) combined- a configuration we had personally seen used at this location before. The manager, Kathy, flatly refused. Her excuse was that the tables were "reserved" for someone who had called ahead. However, as we were leaving the restaurant to sit outside in the heat, we witnessed those exact tables being given to a party that had just signed in on the walk-in waitlist. That was surreal. We were lied to straight in the face. I wrote a complain to JINYA corp via their official feedback page. Zero response (part of the reason I am writing here). There are tons of good ramen places. At this point, this place is not on our list.
