We called in two hours before we arrived to make an reservation, and they took it! imagine our surprise when we arrived and the host told us they don't take reservations! We were told it would be 30 min, and as we were waiting we witnessed multiple people come in and be sat before us. Did they have reservations?? Probably! We finally got into it with the manager, and the only thing they did was ask for the name of who took the reservation and when we told him, he went and yelled at him in front of all the customer. Enjoying the family But Service sucks right about now! The Service was at an all time bad! Food was cold. So we sent it back. My husband & granddaughter split a a burger and fries. It was hot. I never got my fajitas back and my daughter never got her nachos back. The manager came over and said he will get it right. His right, was so wrong. We waited an additional 25 mins, still no food. Then the little dumb waiter asked me what did the manager say he was going to do. I lost it. It's not my job to relay info from your manager to you. It's your job to find out what your manager said and for you to serve us hot food. Needless to say the burger, fries and drink was on them. My little family frequents this location and we have been really happy with the consistency of the food and drink. The food always comes out hot and in a timely manner. My husband loves their shredded chicken tacos, our toddler can't get enough of their rice and beans, and I've liked everything I've tried so far, so our whole family is satisfied by food quality. We have always had good service, but Wes is definitely our go-to waiter. He is quick and consistent, but we ask for him because he's always friendly and in a good mood. The location is really easy to get to, it's clean, and nicely decorated. Our only complaint is that parking can get kind of tricky when it's really busy, especially with classes going on at the martial arts studio next door. Mas Fajitas is our go-to for Tex-Mex in our area and I don't see that changing anytime soon. read more

As usual the boss and I were having a problem deciding where and what to eat; we didn't want to go to the same old places again. We were cruising around and saw Masfatitas near the HEB on 79 and AW Grimes and thought we would give it a try. It was a dreary Monday night when we rolled in; we were seated right away since it was not crowded at around 7:30pm. What I noticed, nice décor, bar and TV showing sports programming. Hum maybe this is a sports Mexican bar. My wife ordered the mixed shrimp, beef and chicken fajitas with beans and rice and pico, she seemed to like them and then stated so. I ordered the standard beef fajitas, I held the sour cream, guacamole and pico and got shredded lettuce with chopped tomato instead, I also got refried beans and rice. I liked this order as well. Having looked at other reviews many talk about flavor, I am not sure what that means because everyone can have a different way of defining flavor, all I can say is I liked the flavor. When the wife said she liked her food and would come again I think that means we like it. The service was fine. Would I go back? Yes I am sure we will next week I want to try the enchiladas next. read more

I didn't read any reviews before going here but I honestly didn't have high expectations due to the name. Does it seem like a name chosen to be friendly to gringos? Anyway, my usual take on Mexican is just a standard ground beef taco. Nothing fancy. Based on that dish I can usually determine what I think of the place. The staff was nice, courteous, prompt and attended to me immediately. The food, well there's another story. Part of the issue is that we're spoiled for inexpensive Mexican food here, whether you consider it TexMex or not. The food was bland, plain, simple and not in the good way. The meat was a little oily and running into the plate, the refritos weren't very tasty, the salsa was meh and overall though edible there was nothing memorable except the cheap cheese that looks like it's pre-shredded and full of oil. I'll be eating elsewhere. For Round Rock that means Tio Dan's Puffy Tacos or Taqueria Aranadinas. read more

I ordered the carne gesada and I only got 3 pieces of meat everything else was just sauce and veggies, my rice was cold, and my re fried beans was more like soup. And on top of that even tho I told the waiters take it back that I didn't want it they still charged me, saying that his boss told him that I still needed to pay. I am so glad I didn't read any of the other reviews before I went to this place. Some of those other people obviously went when there was a different cook or something. I found out about this place from the Taste of Round Rock. They had some very scrumptious nachos there and I figured it was worth going in for a try. We went in and I ordered the shrimp chili rellano. It was PERFECTLY COOKED and VERY VERY good. I definitely recommend it to anyone who likes chili rellanos. In fact, it was so good, I even told the manager to tell the cook how good it was. It was seriously awesome. The fajitas were ok, the person I was with ordered them. The meat was seasoned well but they weren't anything special as the name of the restaurant would suggest. I have a small child and their kids menu had some good variety. They even serve all of their kids plates cold (I can't tell you how many places don't think about that..). The lil one had an enchilada that was perfectly bland for a little palate. It wasn't scorching hot or ice cold, it was the perfect temperature for a little mouth. It wasn't too saucy, it wasn't too dry. It was perfectly done for him. The service was excellent! The waiter was super attentive and super nice. My drink was never empty, I always had a napkin when I needed it and he kept a close eye on anything we could possibly need. First time today and ordered the reg dinner fajitas. Sizzling plate but the meat was bland also no seasoning.. I added salt and more salt and finally gave up. The beans seemed packaged and the rice was okay.. Great service the waiter I cant recall his name needs to work at London by Chef Ramey.. He was spot on! This place needs to get a new chef and why they cant make fresh beans or ricve is beyond me.... Wake up guys because this buliding could be vacant really soon again.. First, a positive - the staff was attentive and super nice. They get an A+ in my book. I have a food allergy (shellfish) and enquired what I could eat off the menu. Surprisingly - the chips were off limits!!!! The waiter was very good about enquiring what they fry their chips in, and the same oil for the chips, is the same oil for frying the shrimp. Bummer. I got to watch everyone else around me have chips and salsa, while I scoured the menu. Turns out because of my allergy, my selections were extremely limited. Who knew 70% of the menu relied on frying something. I ended up with some vegetarian enchilada combo. The refried beans did taste like something out of a can. The rice was slightly undercooked. The filling for the enchiladas was literally SALSA. I kid you not. I managed to eat about half. It reminded me of eating Tex-Mex food while in London. Good attempt, but no where close. Sadly, the food does not live up to the super service. The restaurant is also poorly named, hardly any fajitas on the menu. read more

Stopped in for lunch date with the wife the other day and ordered off of the lunch special menu. I got the chicken dish with peppers and cheese, rice, charro beans and a $2 margarita. I loved it. The chicken was cooked perfect. The cheese was melted over the peppers and looked delicious. the margarita was a little light, however; it was lunch time. Apparently the carne guisada was not as appetizing. She says that it tasted more like beef stew. That just sounds bad. Anyway I enjoyed the food very much. It did take 20+ minutes to get our food not counting the warm chips. That was not good for lunch. After we finished it took a while to get the check. I wound up sitting by myself waiting for it since my wife had to leave before I had the chance to pay the bill. No problem for me cuz I does what I want. I will return since it is so close. Too bad they dont offer free beer like Mangia's did before the shut down. $2 Margaritas are not bad either. Dont forget the toothpicks and Spi C Mints on the way out. read more

I REALLY try to give restaurants the benefit of the doubt (especially right now) but last night's events just really rubbed me the wrong way. I came in for a order for pickup... spoke with a girl who was new on the phone and she said it would be 15 minutes. I show up around the time it should have been done. I saw another car waiting against the curb so I parked behind them and left my sister in the car while I went inside. When I told them the name on the order I was told it would be a minute. Okay... nbd. Then was approached by (I assume) the manager and he told me I didn't need to park there because the police get angry with the store. Ummm.. okay... guess we're going to skip the pleasantries. When I explained I was just following what other patrons had done and didn't know he told me not to do it again. If it's such an issue, why not put up some signage??? Jeez. Moving on... I waited in store for probably 15 minutes (what I had originally been quoted) so it took about double the quote time. Again, nbd. The new girl who took care of my order brought it out in a tied off plastic bag, I paid/tipped and left. We got home and realized part of our order was missing. It happens... especially when you're new. It's not something I would get angry about but I would like a refund in those instances. I called spoke with (presumably) the manager and when I explained the situation the first thing he said was "they didn't go through your order with you?" in a fairly accusatory way... like I was trying to get one by on them or something. When I explained I received a tied bag, he refunded the money of the missing item. The whole exchange was pretty cold and short. I was told the refund would show up "at some point". Now, idk if this guy normally handles front of house but the customer service from him was really lacking. I'm not even the tiniest bit upset with the new girl... mistakes happen... But I guess I offended the manager with my business. I don't know. It's a shame because the food was good but I was treated like I was annoying or being an inconvenience for basic customer service expectations. I don't think we'll be going back. read more

Their cookie skillet was a previously cooked slice of cookie cake in a burning hot skillet so it only melts and burns the chocolate chips to the cookie and so the entire bottom is burnt. Service was horrible, the place was not busy at all and it took us (I kid you not) 35 minutes to be brought a menu... we place our drink orders because we knew what we wanted to drink at that point. 2 margaritas come out (ordered 4) and waited another 25 minutes for the other two, was charged for food we did not order we decided to pay the tab and leave. Our waiter was the nicest most polite guy ever. Took my parents and girlfriend for a nice Saturday dinner. Wasn't too packed and food was good. Main dishes are good but side dishes are meh. I ate tamales and they looked scary but were delicious. Also their salsa is crazy good I don't know what anyone who doesn't like it is talking about. TLDR; If you wanna hang out with some friends and family and happen to eat then its great. If you are showing off the town to family then maybe not. read more
