We love Taco Tuesday but not just that! We enjoyed my fav chili relleno, also Monterey chicken and beef crispy tacos. Beer and Rita's were delicious too! Our server Nick did a super job and the casual vibe is great, though a little noisy when it's busy. Definitely a repeater for us!

So the first time that I ate here, it really was not good.My burrito had overcooked rice that was super dry and the meat was dry. But the second time around it was amazing, the birria tacos are amazing. They totally redeem themselves our server.He was really good, kept checking on us, making sure that our water was full?We had the manager.Come around and make sure everything was good.We had the busser.Come around and make sure everything was good. It's a very casual restaurant. Nothing super special about it. As far as the ambiance goes, but quite enjoyable, fairly quiet, very spacious, very clean. I would recommend this place if you want something quick and fairly inexpensive.I guess I'll try it again.

Decided to set up a car club social recently at this MasFajitas. It was also Cinco de Mayo! They don't take reservations but I called ahead to alert them of our large party. Friends arrived before me and got the ball rolling on the table. Seated within minutes our server was prompt with drink orders, chips and salsa, and ordering. It kinda went downhill from there. The combination Fajitas (Beef, Chicken, Shrimp) AKA known as the Caldwell Special was good food. Nicely seasoned and Poblanos instead of Bell Pepper which I consider a huge flavor upgrade. I do wish the beef could be cooked to order. Ample portions of Guacamole, Sour Cream, and Cheese so there's that. My ceviche appetizer arrived with my entree so I sent it back and asked for it to be removed from the bill GF liked her Shrimp "bowl" which is basically everything on a traditional Tex-Mex plate in bowl form. I guess there's no giant fried Tortilla so it's healthier LOL? Didn't hear alot of complaints from the group until we all started to pay our tabs. The ceviche was still present on my bill so that took some time to remove (see rant below). What I didn't notice AFTER I paid the bill was the extra $5 CdM Margaritas that weren't ours. Anybody remember when POS wasn't hand held? Seems it was way easier to divide up a bill on a 15 inch touch screen versus an overgrown cell phone with a card slider. For groups this technology is not your friend. 3 Stars for the food

Service was good. The restaurant is spacious. My enchiladas were delicious. The refried beans were good, but the Mexican rice was rather bland. Definitely a good value for the cost.

Was first time here. Had heard mixed reviews but wanted to give it a shot. Started out with plain queso. Was ok but was lacking a lot. The home made salsa was excellent. The chips were rather thick but fresh. Service was quick. Had the pork enchiladas with house gravy, rice and refried beans with cheese on them. Would not recommend the house gravy, rather bland. But there are other options to choose from. The chicken and avocado enchiladas were nice and tasty. Sauce had a great flavor. Avocados were firm and had to cut. Should have been more on the ripe side. The black beans were flavored well. The atmosphere-very very loud. Got the impression lots of families come and the kids run wild and scream, which did not make for a good date night. I could not hear my husband very well which was disappointing. Waitress was very friendly and our drinks were never low.

Empty seats, because there is no happy hour. I feel sorry for those bartenders.

I had my food delivered today and the shredded beef and chicken was not even edible it was a lump of beef and I had no chicken. I would not feed this to my dog. worst Mexican restaurant I have ever had. read more

Man have things changed! Prices have gone up, which I could probably swallow, because when are prices not going up? But, happy hour has also shrunk! We were given an excuse that it was so they could have a Saturday happy hour, but what they've done is lost my regular business. I probably won't be back in due to all the changes :( Food was still good, but didn't set well at the higher price point. Beer was still cold, but didn't taste as good with happy hour ending an hour earlier. Wait staff wasn't great, but our regular waiter wasn't there. Big miss all around. read more

Went from Taylor location where we walked out disappointed and hungry to Round Rock. What a huge difference!! We were immediately greeted by our waiter, Leo, who was both friendly and attentive. They heard about our negative experience at the Taylor location and comped our queso appetizer. The food here is delicious and service was exceptional. Thank you for this experience! read more

Got the mixed fajitas. Beef was marinated in something that made the texture disgusting. Charro beans no flavor, same with rice. Fresh salsa ok but they charged 4.50 for takeout chips and salsa. Large queso was inedible with a chalky taste. Through out most of it. The Georgetown location is much better read more

MAKE SURE YOU REALLY check your order thoroughly before you leave from pick up!!!!!!!! Ordered queso dip. Didn't get enough chips for the queso. I even asked for extra chips. Only had enough chips for about half the queso and was having to be attentive to chip to cheese ration just to make the minimal chips last. So sad after you pay damn good money during these times. Makes me NOT want to spend precious money on the extras especially when they pinch us on it. Didn't have any chips available for the salsa either. SAD. You would think they would want to keep your business. I will go elsewhere for take out Mexican food next time. La Margarita or La Morelia next time. I work hard for EVERY PENNY I MAKE. I JUSTED WANTED SOME CHIPS AND QUESO !!! how hard is that !!! read more

We ordered from uberEats. The food was ok. The jalapeño queso could have been a bit spicer. We didn't taste any spice in fact. This place is incredible. Coming from the industry for 16yrs I not only know and appreciate great food, but service makes it all worthwhile. Manuel has great energy and stops and checks on every table. We come here 2 times a week pretty much and the food is so consistently great. Shout out to all the cooks that work their butt off making sure the food is fantastic! Ask for Westlee as your server, he is top notch and one of the best I've had!! This place is not what I would expect from a real TexMex restaurant. It's about on par with Taco Bell given a much longer wait time. The queso quickly became solid, like Velveeta and Ro-Tel (without the love). The Tacos had no flavor and the enchiladas were pretty much bland soup on a plate. The location in Georgetown was much better. I am confused why the RR location sucks so badly. read more

Best taco salad I have had in a minute. Very suprised it was more Taco than Salad. Subbed fajita chicken and I couldn't have been more delicious. Jalapeno Ranch was FIRE! Chicken was flavorful, sour cream was..well sour and cream. Wife got the Cheese Enchiladas, shes hasn't ate those yet.. (but I had a taste) so good! Only one bite, she hasn't noticed yet.. This was a delivery because of the whole Coronavirus things.. TacoSalad was cold but, It worked out well! Great food, super impressed and would recommend to a friend! read more

When the Sorto brothers first opened MasFajitas back in 1997, our goal was simple: share the family recipes with our friends in Caldwell, Texas. In no time, MasFajitas became known for having "más" of everything -- more flavor, more freshness, more options, and, of course, more love for the folks who visit. Today, not only are we as dedicated as ever to bringing our customers the best, but we've expanded to serve even more of Texas. So from our family to yours: Stop in for a bite and a drink, and we'll show you what we've been cooking up lately.

History

Established in 2011.

Brothers Albert and Mario Sorto learned how to make the family's delicious recipes while working in their uncle's restaurant in Houston. In 1997, they took that knowledge and hard work and opened the first MasFajitas in Caldwell. Over the years, the business expanded and became a beloved place for one and all to get together and grab some good food. We eventually opened up more locations to bring the deliciousness to even more of Texas -- Taylor's MasFajitas opened in 2005, Round Rock's opened in 2011, Georgetown's opened in 2016, and Killeen's opened in 2017. Lots has happened over the years, but some things have never changed -- like our passion for fresh, flavorful food and our dedication to hard work.

It's a little overpriced for what it is but it gets the job done. FAST FACTS: * Parking - lot out from of the building with plenty of spots * Happy Hour - couldn't find updated days and hours but they do have HH specials * Lunch specials from 11 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday SERVICE - We arrived around 6:30 pm on a Monday and they weren't busy at all (although it was Cinco de Mayo and they got busier as the night went on). We were seated right away and had complimentary chips and salsa brought to the table immediately (they're very mediocre). Our server, Fatima, made sure we had refills throughout the meal and the food came out quickly. PRICING - The total was $65.45 after tax ($4.99) but before tip for a Burros queso ($10.49), shredded chicken quesadilla ($14.99), Javier's plate ($17.49), and carne asada ($17.49). For basic Tex Mex, it seemed a little overpriced but the portion sizes are good. BURROS QUESO (6/10) - This is a basic chili con queso... it's topped with ground beef, guacamole, and pico but not much. I don't think I'd order this again because it isn't worth it for the price... I'd rather just order a small chili con queso. SHREDDED CHICKEN QUESADILLA (6/10) - It's a pretty standard chicken quesadilla served with shredded lettuce, pico, sour cream, and guacamole. You do get plenty of shredded chicken inside! This is great to split as an appetizer or get as an entree. I'd order this again. JAVIER'S PLATE (6/10) - It's a good portion size but nothing special. The grilled skirt steak had a nice flavor but is kinda hard to cut up and eat. You get rice, beans, and a small tortilla cup with lettuce, pico, and guacamole. I probably wouldn't order this again because I'd rather try other things. CARNE ASADA (6/10) - Again, it's a good portion size but nothing special. The grilled chicken breast is the same price as the diced skirt steak which doesn't quite make sense to me but you get a decent amount of sautéed onion, tomatoes, serano peppers, mushrooms, and zucchini. Again, you get rice, beans, and a small tortilla cup with lettuce, pico, and guacamole. I'd order this again if I want to get in some veggies with my meal. This was my first visit to Burros Tex Mex Bar and Grill and I probably won't rush to come back because there are other Tex Mex restaurants nearby that I prefer. It wasn't bad by any means, it just doesn't stand out (especially for the price). But, in a pinch, I'd stop by again if I was nearby and in the mood for Tex Mex.

You likely are in this section for a Tequila tasting or drink with conversation. The back room was more like a concert-like area with an open ceiling. You literally could see the stars from this section of the restaurant. I listened to some rhythm and blues and find the band to be smooth and sexy. However, my friends were in the last section, where a DJ was spinning Latin tunes. While it was fun to see my friends, it was totally slow boogie. The songs lasted too long, and we only heard a few songs that were familiar. I ordered a frozen Margarita, but they were out of Margarita. I have never been to a Mexican food restaurant that did not serve Margaritas. So, I then ordered some guacamole and chips, which I shared with my friends. After one set of music, we decided to leave the restaurant. Service was pretty good at the restaurant. Although our server was acting as server and bartender simultaneously. Also, there was no cover charge for Sociedad.

Well, I came here to have my crispy tacos again and they were delicious nice and fresh lean ground beef with fresh lettuce, tomato and cheese. Always a good choice when I go to MasFajitas. I also had the soft fajita tacos on flour tortillas. I had one chicken and one beef. The chicken was a little dry, but the beef was wonderful. Good flavor good taste and I love salsa just the right amount of spice. I have to say my waitress was so amazing. I went with a group of friends. There were five of us. She kept our drinks full. She was always asking how everything was. She was the nicest sweetest lady there. She had about five other tables that she was waiting on excellent Masfajitas is just right for good food not expensive good quality had a great quality price. They had a sports bar there with the Texas OU game on several TVs and we could watch the game from where we were sitting and we enjoyed a nicedinner. Unfortunately I cannot give 0 stars. IF YOU BELIVE IN SCIENCE AND COVID DO NOT GO TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT!! Apparently masks are completely optional. From the moment i walked in, a Guest opened the door for me with no mask, which was strange. The hostess had no mask, and as I looked around, more and more employees without masks. I Truly froze. Apparently this establishment has not seen that Texas has the third most deaths due -- over 50,000- due to Covid of all states in the US. Some employees wore a mask, but clearly the minority. We placed a to go order and it was not ready when we arrived. I waited a few minutes and tried to keep my cool at what I was seeing around me, but it just got worse. People coming in and out of the kitchen with no masks. Absolutely 0 social distancing and booths and tables packed to the max. I called over the manager and told him to cancel my order. Also said i was disgusted and appalled by the staff not making even the slightest attempt to wear masks. The first time we came to this new location we were not happy. The service was terrible although the food was still very good. We decided to give it another shot tonight and we are so glad we did. Between TJ and the manager, Johnny our experience this time was a hundred fold better. They were super busy and TJ still gave us the attention and service we used to get at the old location. He took care of us without being overbearing. Johnny really cares about his customers and wants to make sure they are happy. We've been trying to dine at Más Fajitas since it opened but when we looked at the parking lot, it was always so full we would turn back home. So happy we decided to go in this time! My family has come to mas fajitas before but this time was definitively the best. We came for our grandmas 72 birthday and our waitress Toni was amazing! My wife and I came into town yesterday. We saw this restaurant and decided "why not?". The parking was difficult, but worth the walk after eating. The Enchiladas Verdes are amazing especially the charro beans which were cooked perfectly. Great atmosphere friendly staff our waiter Julian was phenomenal very attentive never left our drinks empty brought our food out nice and hot no complaints oh dont let me forget they have 2.99 margaritas every Wednesday. This is one of my fave places...especially their Thursday drink specials. Beer-Rita's always calling my name. Love the hospitality of the staff, too. The owner is the best! Brought one of my friends today for their first time and TJ (our server) and Johnny (the manager) have been super attentive. Covid-19 "Superspreader" No masks, social distancing, disinfecting from workers, managers, or customers. It seemed like a free for all virus spreader. Manager laughed at us as we immediately left saying "We are not required to follow any rules." Apparently, they have no regard for the safety of their customers nor care anything about repeat business. Good luck trying to stay open! read more

We had a wonderful server, TJ, who took great care of us. We had a small issue with our queso but Alex, the manager, took care of it and had the queso replaced in 3 minutes. Lol he insisted we time him. Excellent service! . We had the blanco queso with chorizo, steak ranchero and the carnitas platter. The food was amazing. We would definitely recommend this restaurant. read more

Not bad at all! The service was great. The fajitas and margaritas were delicious and reasonably priced. I liked it and will probably return. (It certainly helps that it's a place that A) has booze and B) is within walking distance from my home.) But no cheese with the fajitas? And you're going to charge me a dollar for a small cup of it? A minor quibble, really. read more

I totally love this place! I have been coming here for .99 tacos on Tuesday's you can't beat that price, the tacos are always crispy and flavorful! And did I mention you can't beat the price!? The staff is always amazing and very friendly you definitely pick up on the vibe of how helpful they are to each other. Kudos to the leadership it shows in the employees. read more
