Easily the best Mediterranean food I've had in Atlanta. Best hummus, baba ghanoush, toum, falafel (maybe not better than Sabarabas, but very close). Excellent kebobs and koefta. They even gave us a complimentary lemon mint drink that was refreshing and balanced. The ordering format is a little unorthodox as it's basically family style, no a la carte. This is a very new restaurant and not yet on Google maps as there is an issue with the former tenant still holding up the address but so worth a visit! What a wonderful fun lunch Friday! My husband and I make a point to go to new restaurants on Friday and when we found this one, we had no idea what to expect. We walked in and the restaurant is so cute. Love the decor very friendly we were able to sit right down and it looked like the owner came over to welcome us. It was so exciting because they have one menu for lunch And that's what we ordered. It was that simple. We had no idea what to expect and all of a sudden these bowls of items kept coming out of the kitchen and they kept bringing us entrée after entrée and it was so exciting. Each entrée was a burst of flavor. They first brought out a sampling of salads with sauces and some naan bread. I have the menu that I can post so you can see what we got. And then they brought out a breaded chicken cutlet, which was so delicious and the temperature was just steaming hot. Each thing they brought out was more and more flavorful, and the fun part was mixing it all together and tasting the sauces and my mouth was just bursting with flavor. We also got a sampling of their favorite drink. They've actually won award for it, and the sample turned right into me, ordering a full sample of the drink it was so delicious. I'll post a picture of that one. We were so excited. We enjoyed every single bite and we even had enough to bring home for leftovers. The service was great. The atmosphere was fun. We even splurged and got some of their coffee which was so delicious and of course Dubai chocolate which we brought home for later. What an absolute fun place to go to. They do offer a dinner menu with a lot more selections. We will definitely have to come back. We're picky eaters when it comes to Middle Eastern food. After living in metro Detroit with easy access to the best collection of Mediterranean spots in the country, it takes a lot to impress us. But Mashawi did. Lunch there was a bit like a tasting menu experience. Everything on the menu hits the table--and it was all phenomenal. And get the lemon-mint beverage...it's also fantastic.
