I highly recommend doing this as it looked like people were having to wait. The concept/decor reminded me of Whiskey Cake, however I liked this place soooo much better. My husband and I decided to try this place out tonight on a whim for date night. The sign outside was beautiful, we were welcomed in so friendly and everything was amazing! Jordan was our server and she did the best job! She was super sweet and very helpful in narrowing down our drink and cocktail choices! We ordered the meatloaf (still drooling over that, sorry...) and the chicken and biscuits. Just wow. After dinner, we decided to have some drinks; I indulged in the Hillbilly Russian and my husband chose the Apple Pie Moonshine. Very impressed with how tasty and fresh everything was. Disappoint'd. Just kidding. Mash'd has an upbeat but still relaxed vibe to it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The garlic sriracha wings were ok. Good flavor and texture, but not much of a kick or intense flavor for all those sriracha purists out there. More like hint on sriracha. But I digress... The shrimp boil was fantastic. Shrimp was cooked and seasoned to perfection and came with a great dipping sauce. The potatoes and corn were good too. Didn't try any of their signature cocktails, but I hear they are good. Word of mouth is great even in a large city. This was our first trip and the menu had good variety and the alcohol was flowing. What can you complain about there..... wife had bolgolgie tacos and even compared to LA Burgers which are known for it they mate hip rather nicely. I myself usually let the waiter pick so I get a good variety and not always picking the same thing... He brought me a shake it up seafood and can never go wrong there, nice little Cajun boil pretty much. Will certainly be back to try something new and have a few more mixed drinks. Came here to watch USA-GER World Cup match, as every other restaurant with this many TVs is accomodating the huge crowd out to watch. The owner refuses to allow staff to put on the game audio. I will start off saying that this experience was a one off and we typically have quicker more efficient service. With that being said I think they handled the situation well. We made a reservation for our anniversary and showed up right on time and we were seated promptly with no wait. We then sat for 20 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. A nice young lady said your waiter will be by soon and offered to take our drink orders. We put in our drink orders which took approx. 10-15 to come out so at this point we have already been there approx 30 min. Our waiter delivered the drinks and then took our order. We ordered the chicken fried pepperoni for an app to start and then bulgogi tacos and chicken and biscuits. About 5 minutes after ordering our app and meal, they delivered just the tacos to our table which was my dinner. They did not bring out the app or my wife's meal yet. We sat there for about 5 more minutes when another nice young lady (I am assuming this was the manager) who apologized and explained they were aware we also were still waiting on the app and my wife's food and apologized about bringing mine out so much earlier. She ended up taking care of the food bill and our waiter also came up and apologized and said the mix up was his fault. We understand mistakes can happen and I love the fact that we did not have to complain, the issue was already noted and they took care of it. The food was very good as always, and the pineapple bombs are actually the bomb. It is rare that places admit their mistake and are quick to resolve the issue and they did a great job at that in this instance. We will most certainly be back and appreciate the awareness of the issue we were experiencing. read more

Love the open feel and ambience of this restaurant. My server/the guy in front was awesome and gave me some great recommendations. I ended up ordering food to go - opted for the meatloaf with Mac and cheese as a side. A little pricier than what I was expecting for how much I got, but the food was so tasty and the quality was top notch, so I can forgive the price. The meatloaf was moist, hearty, and wasn't slathered in ketchup - it had a lite glaze of some smokey- garlicky- ketchup sauce. Highly recommend. I was so impressed with the Mac and cheese - it had caramelized onions, corn, and some spices in it that gave it an awesome kick. It definitely was "adult" Mac and cheese, which my server was nice enough to ask me if I wanted plain Mac or the stepped up version, and I am so glad I got this stepped up version - some of the best Mac I've ever had. Will definitely eat at mashed again if I have the chance to go back to frisco. They have a cool wall of what looks like moonshine - I know they have late night drink specials, so if you are in the area, definitely go give mashed a try! read more
