Great new Korean place in my neighborhood. Food is fresh made to order super fresh and tasty. The server lady was very kind and attentive. Very excited to go back love the place. I tried the bibimbap very good it stayed hot through the meal. They serve side dishes with it. Did not like the fish cakes, but everything else was great. A must try if you are in the Anaheim Hills area.

The kind of hunger that hits after a gymnastics meet isn't subtle, and we walked into Masito ready for something warm and filling. It was a late lunch crowd, but the room still felt relaxed, and we were seated and settled quickly. We ordered the Cupbap Ribeye, kimchi fried rice, and a house ramen to share around the table. The ribeye cupbap really delivered on comfort -- tender pieces of beef layered over rice, savory and satisfying without feeling heavy. The kimchi fried rice had that familiar tang and warmth you hope for, with a good balance between spice and richness. The house ramen was exactly what we needed after a long morning: a hot, soothing bowl with deep broth flavor that felt restorative more than flashy. Midway through the meal, they surprised us with complimentary dumplings, which was such a thoughtful touch and honestly made the whole experience feel even more welcoming. Service stood out just as much as the food. Everything came out quickly, and the staff checked in at the right moments without hovering. They were genuinely friendly in a way that felt natural, not scripted, and it made the meal that much more enjoyable. Masito is the kind of place that understands what comfort food should feel like -- generous, flavorful, and served with care. If you're coming in after a long event or just need something satisfying and warm, this is a solid stop. Come hungry, and don't be surprised if they go the extra mile to make you feel taken care of.

Tried Masito Korean House Tofu for the first time this past Sunday around noon, and I was surprised to see only one other table occupied--especially during what should be peak lunch hours. That was my first hint that the place is still new and getting their footing. We were quickly greet by a very cheerful and friendly hostess/server. She was very cool so positive energy so made the time enjoyable. One we placed our orders, the banchan (side dishes) were quickly delivered and sadly just four small items but refillable. Even the most modest mom-and-pop Korean spots I've been to typically serve a more generous variety (like 5-7). Banchan is such a big part of the Korean dining experience, so this felt like a letdown but hey onward to main course. I ordered the seafood tofu soup, which is usually my go-to, but unfortunately the broth lacked flavor. It felt like it was missing that depth, spicy satisfying taste. To make matters worse, the shrimp in the soup were tiny baby shrimp--not exactly what you'd expect or hope for in a seafood tofu stew. There were generous amounts of tofu. Now on the BRIGHT side, the kimchi fried rice with spam is delicious!! The fried tofu bimbimpo was awesome too with the sauce. Service was polite and the space is clean, but overall the tofu soup felt can improve. There's potential here, so will come back end of year to try something else. Got to support the mom and pop shops and restaurants.

One other Korean restaurant in Yorba Linda and was so excited to try it. It's a little similar to BCD but home style. The food was good, but with some pros and cons. The soodubu was flavorful. The bibimbap was kind of oily and the black bean noodles were just ramen noodles, not jajangmyeon. The galbi was pretty little for quantity to price. The guys serving us were pretty nice though! Definitely a go to place if need some quick fill Korean food without going to LA or the OC.

Such a delicious Korean restaurant in Anaheim Hills. I've eaten here several times now - the food and service are consistently wonderful every time. There's just something so comforting about this restaurant. I don't know if it's because the staff is so welcoming, or if it's because it's smaller and cozier than other Korean restaurants, but I keep coming back! My go to order is the original beef tofu soup. The BBQ beef short ribs are also delicious. The entree combos are a good size to share. Prices for the combos vary depending on if it's lunch or dinner & they also have a lunch special menu. Banchan options are a bit limited, but I don't mind it because they serve my favorites. They close for a short period during the day, so I would recommend double checking the time before heading over.

I came here with my partner to try it out! The service was ok and the ambiance was a bit quiet! Not too much people were in, so I'm surprised it wasn't too packed! Short rib: juicy, flavorful, marinated well! Well seasoned! Definitely recommend! Japchae: simple and light flavoring with soy sauce and sesame oil. Light veggies such as onions, green onion and carrots! Tofu Soup: Not too much meat in the soup, nice spice and kick! TIP: Parking was ample and near the gas station! I believe there's a restroom in the corner of the restaurant (not too sure)! They do have a lunch special menu as well!

Restaurant closes at 9:00 pm per posted signage; but cut-off for dine in is 8:30 PM, sort of. First time finding this out was when I arrived at 8:45 pm. No biggie. I found out it's sort of 8:30 pm, when I arrived just before 8:30 pm and was turned away. I am happy for this establishment as it does not want or need my patronage. Came here around 7:45 pm. Plenty of parking and was seated right away. This is a small korean restaurant that mainly serves tofu soup. Service was great and everything came out fairly quick. This time we got the Galbi+ Pork Tofu soup combo and the Japchae. - Galbi 5/5: juicy, tender, and flavorful - Pork Tofu Soup: soup had a lighter vegetable flavor. Flavor of the meat did not get through in the soup 3.5/5 - Japchae(vegetarian): lightly flavored but still delicious. - banchan: was fresh and yummy 4/5 Finally a decent Korean place in Anaheim Hills. Definitely will go again. Too bad it closes a little early at 9:00 pm but most places in that area closes around that time so it's okay.

I'm averaging the rating of the two times I've been here. Maybe it was an off chance, but if you come here I'd recommend coming during lunch. We came on two separate occasions (second time was much better than first experience). 1st time (2 stars): We came on Wednesday for dinner at 7pm. Upon coming in they had a crying toddler in the kitchen and were severely understaffed. We felt bad about this as it seems like the lady waiting tables was also doing all the take out orders while also carrying and calming the screaming toddler. We waited around hoping for things to calm down. All the empty tables were still dirty and customers seemed annoyed at the wait. We sat for 35 minutes with no one coming by to give us water or taking our order. Neither of the three tables around us received any attention either as it seemed that they were working on a to go order. I did feel empathy as they seemed very stressed but we ended up leaving as it seemed like it would be another hour or two until we would've gotten our food with how slow things were going. 2nd time (4 stars): we decided to come back and give this place another chance, but decided to come during lunch time to avoid the craziness. It was a much different experience, it was a different waiter who was incredibly attentive and good came out quickly. The bbq short ribs were to die for and had the perfect amount of salty and sweet flavor. The vegetable tofu soup was delicious as well, would've wished that they put a little more veggies other than zucchini and mushrooms but overall was yummy!

Masito is located in a very dark area across from Pep Boys. Because of how poorly lit the area is, I honestly thought the location wasn't open today but it was. The inside of the restaurant isn't huge but has a decent amount of seats. This place is definitely more of a to-go/takeaway place rather than a sit down restaurant. The food was pretty good, but the presentation wasn't great for a sit down restaurant, hence the four stars. Serving some of our dishes on actual plates vs others like kimchi fried rice served in a to-go bowl felt strange to me. The plastic water cups for dine in are also like the ones you'd get at a fast food place, yet a server comes and takes your order, so that was a bit odd for me in the consistency of a sit down dining experience.

Masito just opened up less than a year ago and I was finally able to try it! It's a family-owned business opened by two sisters featuring delicious Korean staples, including soondubu, galbi, seafood pancake, and other dishes! All the banchan are made in-house, and they also have lunch specials which make everything even more affordable than they already are. I was able to try the galbi, seafood pancake, soondubu, egg-mari, tteokbokki with dumpling, japchae, bulgogi bibimbap, and marinated pork. Everything was super flavorful and tasted fresh, all while the portion sizes are giant. The all-stars of the show were definitely the galbi, seafood pancake, and the bulgogi bibimbap! The galbi is tender, juicy, and seasoned perfectly. Probably one of the best I've had. The seafood pancake is crispy and less doughy than other places which I enjoyed. Definitely come try Masito for some quality and authentic Korean cuisine while supporting a small business!

I loooooove SHARING and recognizing businesses that consistently deliver exceptional customer service, and MASITO, a local restaurant in Anaheim Hills, truly stands out. Their amazing food showcases incredible flavors, freshness, with generous portions at unbeatable prices. Although the restaurant is small, the space is thoughtfully arranged to provide a comfortable dining experience. A new addition to the decore is a wall dedicated to drawings made by the kids that come to the restaurnat with their families. The idea of showcasing the drawings is awesome as it highlights a FAMILY setting. After lunch we had a delicious Asian-inspired dessert that combines creamy vanilla ice cream with red bean paste in a fish-shaped cone. NOTE before the meal is served, a SMALL cup of hot tea is provided, I don't know what type of tea it was but it sure was DELICIOUS.

A small Korean restaurant. They have affordable lunch menu that is like a set menu perfect for single diner on the go. The service was fast and friendly. I went there by myself so I didn't get to try their other dishes. Their set menu was simple and tasty. I'm curious to see what their regular menu is actually like. Plenty of seating and parking.

I went on their soft opening weekend and had a great experience! Clean restaurant with friendly staff, and food was delicious. I tried their spicy tofu soup and pan fried pork, and they were both very good. I knew that I will like their food before my order came out because the side dishes (banchan) were on point Of course, as it always is with a newly opened restaurant, it took a while for them to prepare the food but it was well worth the wait and they will get in the full swing of it soon. I'm so excited to have a good Korean restaurant in Anaheim Hills! I look forward to many more meals at Masito. read more

HOORAY for a fabulous family owned authentic Korean restaurant finally landing in Anaheim Hills! Born and raised in this community and after 33 years we no longer have to travel 30 min to get good korean food. Service and food were great! Spicy pork albap was super tasty and the hubby's LA galbi tofu soup combo was flavorful and hit the spot. The fried dumplings were crispy and the dipping sauces were very yummy! Tofu soup is good. I go to BCD and Kaju and this place actually gives you big pieces of beef. They also give you one rice per rather than sharing a pot of rice per two orders of tofu. I prefer no cucumber in my soup but you can order without. Their egg is normal size. Just ate at kaju tofu off Jeffrey and their egg was so tiny. The only thing about this place is it's small and they need more workers. They try really hard to do good but can't keep up with the demand. Other than that it is a good spot for people that live on the east side. I don't have to drive to Irvine anymore. read more

Finally a Korean food spot in the Anaheim Hills area! This is a great spot to get your soondubu fix and they have fabulous, fast service and delicious food. Plenty of parking outside the restaurant, clean and nice looking dining area, with K-pop MVs playing on the TVs inside. My husband and I can't stop eating here. We probably come 1-2 times a week. The value you get from a combo is very good, especially if you go during lunch time. It's a lot of food, healthy, and it all tastes good. Their banchan (side dishes) taste great, yummy kimchi. You won't regret eating here! read more

A Korean restaurant has finally opened near Yorba Linda!!!! The tofu soup really good! And side dish(Ban Chan) also great! I recommend spicy marinaded pork Jikhwa! (Combo really good!!! : It comes a Jikhwa + soft tofu) The meat is full of charcoal grill flavor! It's the taste of eating in Seoul! I'm so happy to know new restaurant!! read more

Decent k tofu with decent tofu prices. The rice dishes are a bit expensive as the portion sizes are a bit smaller. Sides dishes are good but having a few more selections would be better. Service is excellent and place is clean and efficient . The food comes out sizzling or boiling hot, so take care and eat slowly. read more

We picked up some items and unfortunately, I have to say that the food was not the best. The tofu soups were very basic and literally tasted home-made by someone following a recipe. The seafood pancake was surprisingly small for the price. BTW, it wasn't the typical "pancake" with dough, but more like a tempura. It tasted fine and we liked it but it was tiny and not satisfying compared to other restaurants. They gave us two sets of banchan, with sprouts, squash, fish cakes, kimchee, etc. One of them had sprouts and squash that were distinctly not fresh. They tasted like they were left out too long and was about to spoil. It was not great to be served stuff like that. I am glad I tried this place out. But I am not likely coming back. One better option I can think of is close enough in Fullerton and is called Da Rae. read more

Masito ( Korean food ) is a great addition to Anaheim hills as that cuisine was missing here. The restaurant is bit tucked in (you don't see it from the main road ) but it's a very cozy place. Great food and quick service. The servers are very friendly and pleasant and offer suggestions. Portions size is good as well. We will certainly be going back. read more

Highly Recommend This Place!! I've been to many Korean restaurants, but this one tops them all! It's a family-owned gem where everyone is incredibly sweet and welcoming from the moment you walk in. The service is excellent! I had the pleasure of meeting the owners and the chef, who came from Korea to help open this restaurant, ensuring the food is A1 authentic! The restaurant is immaculate, even going the extra mile by covering the spoons, as you can see in the picture with the Korean sodas. One of the owners brought special plates for the kids, making dining here as a parent a joy with those little thoughtful touches. They even gave the kids a treat at the end how cool is that? It was my first time trying a Seafood Pancake, and it was so delicious I couldn't stop eating it--my friends might not have gotten enough, oops! The chef personally greeted everyone and shared his award-winning #1 Kimchi from Korea. I had to take some home! Everything was delicious. I would recommend anything on the menu--you won't regret it! read more

Really delicious food and good service when we went. Make sure you go when it's not too busy because we tried the prior week and couldn't get seated during the busy time of the day. Food was very high quality though and definitely a standout in the area. We will be back for sure. read more

We LOVE Masito!! They offer delicious Korean food in Anaheim Hills!! I love that they have a variety of different Korean food like bibimbap, tofu soup, bulgogi, Korean pancakes, etc. We tried their Kalbi combo which includes Kalbi and tofu soup and they were super good! I love that there's different types of tofu soup we can choose from and spicy levels as well! Tried their bibimbap as well! Yum!! Loved their ambience because it feels like you are invited to a Korean family house!! Also service was good and the owner Kate is super friendly and so personable!! Definitely recommend and will come back soon! :) read more

I'm not sure how this place got so many good reviews. The only thing I can conclude is maybe most of these reviews were written by non-Koreans. I am Korean, and the food here is not good or authentic. The chef is Chinese, not even Korean. We were VERY excited about a Korean restaurant opening in AH, but were VERY disappointed with this place. We ordered a variety of entrees, and everything from the marinated meats (too saucy) to the seafood pancake (too mushy and greasy) to the tofu soups (bland) was just plain bad and difficult to even finish. Also, the restaurant itself is stark and they had horrible loud music and a Korean game show on a big screen tv? One thing that was good though was the service. Owners seem very nice and eager to make the business succeed. It's sad, because we were really rooting for this place. Unfortunately we will mot be back. read more

Food: fantastic! Came out fast, well seasoned and delicious! Service: above and beyond, party of 10 accommodated within 10 mins of calling. 2 were my daughter (2.5 yrs) and son 8 months. Both were struggling a bit, staff stepped in and held my son so that I could eat. The entire staff came out to greet my son as he was being bopped around the restaurant. Only wish I was local so that I could continue to eat here. Thank you for a fantastic dinner. read more

This is a fast casual place: you order at the counter and sit with a number; they'll bring you your food. During your visit, they take a walk around (inside and outside), and ask if you need anything. (Keep in mind, waiting to order might be 10-15 mins, even if the line only goes to the door.) I would suggest that if they run out of an item that they cover it or some sort on the giant black menu that they have on the wall. This way, customers have time to change their order instead of at the cashier, thus holding up the line. (I went like 5-6pm on a Saturday and they ran out of Etouffée. I felt bad taking up a hot moment to come up with a second choice.) Their food is incredible - just spectacular. You really can't go wrong with whatever you order. I plan on going back (to get more cornbread!!) and try more items on the menu. The okra did not thicken it up too much which was surprising. The food is delicious. My husband is from New Orleans so he approved. It's nice to have another place in OC for Cajun/Creole Southern food.

So here's my good and not so good. Good: the service here is amazing, friendly attentive and I watched every dine in customer receive extraordinary care. The portion sizes are huge and the whole restaurant felt like you were in someone's own kitchen on a weekend morning with all of the right smells in the air for a great brunch. Here's the not so good: it took 4 minutes shy of an hour to get lunch for 2 (2 order of chicken tenders, side of red beans and rice and an order of hush puppies ) prepared. Although the booths were full, most of the tables had their food, so it didn't appear to be a lot of tickets stacked up. When my order was finally delivered, and I took the10 minute drive back home, I opened the bag to fund 3 brown paper bags, wet, soggy and soaking in grease. Because the food hadn't been allowed to cool a bit and it was placed in a plastic bag with no way to vent out steam, every item was soggy and falling apart. The fries were wet and soggy, the chicken had all of the dry coat falling off and most the seasoning was pulled off of the batter that was left because of the water and steam. Additionally, the red beans and rice were so wet, they were almost soup. One of the orders had potato salad as a side, but to received overcooked soggy fries instead. The hush puppies were way over cooked, they had passed the golden brown cook level and were a black brown color and were sort of flavorless and really soggy from the heat of the plastic bag. I'm sure that most of this could have been avoided if I hadn't placed a to go order. But I'm leaving this review so that when you order from this little gem, you consider dining in or asking for the foot with plenty of lead time so that they don't rush, improperly pack the food for transit (let it cool off a bit) and have the time to make sure the order is correct, and cooked to a standard that best represents the business. Pomona needs Day-Days as a locally owned, black owned soul food restaurant. Switching from plastic to paper bags and giving the food time to vent will go a long way with quality for the customer. In the end the food tasked good, I'm sure was prepared with love, but fell flat on the delivery. All of that said, patronize this restaurant!!!!

I was a lot disappointed that they didn't have fountain drinks despite having a machine. It doesn't feel like a satisfying meal unless I have access to adequate soda or juice. Part of me believes that more and more restaurants disconnect their fountain drinks to stick it to you with cans and bottles of soda each time you get thirsty while eating. And this pretty much guarantees this will never become a regular spot because it's irritating to be super thirsty but not wanting to haul your ass to the register to purchase another semi-cold van of soda. The service was okay, if a little sparse. My server only checked on me two times--once to drop off the food and to check on me when I looked obviously about to pass out from dehydration. The space is nice too with a lot of booths for my liking. Like some mom-and-pop places there was a lone fly buzzing while I was trying to eat dinner but that could be an aberration. It was also hinky that I was the only customer dining in. I was starting to think the food wouldn't be all that spectacular or mentionable. But I was glad to be mistaken. Maybe if they ever fix the fountain drinks I'd come back. But without that it's just no kosher to be constantly of thirst and have to pay for 3 or 4 cans of soda to satiate it. It's not worth it.

Able to easily feed two and comes with a few side items like rice and a fried egg. *Pandan cold brew: Oddly really good. I was afraid it was going to be overly sweet but ended up being a perfect balance of the pandan and the cold brew flavor. *Silog Breakfast Bowls with Longanisa: Lots of different options to choose from here for your protein. This is a great overall bowl packed meal that includes garlic rice, egg, tomato salad, and the meat you chose. You also get a few sauces to enjoy with your meal like ketchup and soy sauce. The service is really friendly and able to answer all of our questions. And the meal itself took around 15-20 minutes to come out. Overall, it's a solid brunch spot that was great to go to nearby. Visited this new Korean restaurant with my family and was pleasantly surprised by the entire experience! We were seated immediately, which set a positive tone for the evening. We ordered the tofu soup ( soon dubu) and bulgogi bibimbap - both were outstanding. The banchan (side dishes) deserves special mention - fresh, flavorful, and generous portions. Our server was attentive throughout the meal, checking on us regularly without being intrusive. The quality of everything we tried was excellent.
