Salmon stuffed with crab.

Let me tell you something: when my besties and I show up, the vibes shift, period. Lol. We went to Mastro's to celebrate my bestie's birthday last Saturday and we had a time! First off, shout out to the doorman who was closing that night because sir knew his angles! He took the cutest pictures of us and made sure we were camera-ready before we left for the evening. That's the kind of staff energy we love. Now about our seating: . We were initially placed in a side room separate from the main dining area, and baby... that wasn't going to cut it. So we kindly asked to be moved because hello, nobody puts baby in a corner(I love dirty dancing). We are front-and-center, main-character energy only! They moved us, no fuss, and that's when the night really started. Let's talk about our server, MARIO. Give. This. Man. A. Raise. From the jump, he was friendly, on point, and by the end of the night, he was calling us by name like we were longtime friends. He made our experience unforgettable, and if Mario's not serving, I'm not coming. Simple as that. Put him on permanent rotation for all our future reservations. Now the food. I had the stuffed crab salmon, blackened and it was seasoned to perfection. My HS bestie had the same, and the birthday girl got the New York sirloin and loved it, zero regrets. Everything was delicious, and the portions? Generous! The ambiance was ambiance-ing. The music was on point and we were singing, head-bopping, and living our best lives. Mastro's knows how to set a mood. Overall, this place is always a vibe, but with Mario and the amazing doorman, it was a full-on moment. Catch me at Mastro's again soon, probably singing along to the music and requesting Mario by name. 5 stars. 10s across the board. Main characters only! Perioddddd!

What an experience! The ambiance is classy and modern! The food was exceptionally fresh and delicious! We were celebrating my birthday and the service was amazingly crisp and attentive.

I dont know what happened within the past 6 years (which was the last time we ate here) but I can say, it's not the same as I remembered. The quality of the food was better then.

Oh I loved this! Very pretty restaurant location facing the water. From the time I sat down at the bar to wait for my friend, my bartenders were extremely nice. Helped me with my selections and even when I couldn't finish my tar tar helped me seamlessly bring it to my table when my friend arrived. My friend took me here for my birthday and I have not one negative thing to say. Our server Yannie (sp?) was so incredible, I honestly thought we were her only table all night! She was sweet, have wonderful suggestions, and gave in to every ridiculous request we had. Angie helped bring out our huge seafood tower, complete with a light and smoke show, and stayed to joke around with us and helped us with some pro pic tips! Food was fabulous. We had the sea bass and the halibut, both very good. Seafood tower was excellent, caviar set up was on point, and side dishes (especially loved the mushrooms) were amazing. We loved our server so much that we promised a follow up trip just to visit her.

Food was fabulous! From apps to desserts and everything in between! Service was outstanding! Brandy our server as attentive and personable she made the experience above and beyond!

Mastro's is everything you want in a high-end steakhouse and more. I've been to most of the top spots in the city, and nothing comes close to the full package this place delivers. Let's start with the seafood tower -- absolutely unreal. Towering, ice-cold, and packed with fresh lobster, crab, oysters, and shrimp. Presentation? A+ -- you could hear people at nearby tables whispering about it. Worth every dollar. Now the steak... melt-in-your-mouth good. I ordered the tomahawk and it came out with that perfect char and deep flavor only a handful of places can truly nail. Sides are shareable (get the lobster mac and cheese -- trust me), and the cocktails are spot-on. The vibe is classy but energetic, with live music in the background and a crowd that knows this is the place to be. Service was polished and intuitive -- never rushed, always on point. If you're celebrating something big -- or just want to feel like you are -- Mastro's hits every note. Boston has great restaurants, but this is the one I keep coming back to.

This is definitely a nice restaurant, but I was very let down by the quality and the size of the portions compared to experiences I've had at other Mastros in the past. Also, I'm not sure if it's because it was a restaurant week or they've just lowered the standard for clientele but people were in there in sweatpants and baseball hats and the level of attention to dress code brought down the experience Service was good. This is just a small thing but for instance anytime I've ever gone to a mastros and I've been going for it was 15+ years, if I asked to take home the remainder of my bread basket they would just give me a new fresh basket to take home. This time they charged for the bread basket just to start with. When you're paying $85 for your steak alone I think you could throw in some bread. I'm not there to save money but throw your customers a bone

My husband and I had our late Valentines dinner here last night and it was amazing! We have driven past hundreds of times and wanted to try it and we finally did and will definitely be coming back. We were seated immediately and although one of the premium tables in the window would have been wonderful, it was still great ambience and the tables were far enough apart that we did not feel like we were sitting right with the people next to us. There was just the right amount of noise in the background where you felt like you had privacy for your own conversation. We started with the cocktails and the house lemon drop was the most beautiful cocktail I've seen. It bubbled with dry ice, had the sugar rim, and tasted great. The cocktail is also actually a double because they bring you the shaker with the remains and leave it next to the martini for refill. The warm bread service was great. We were never without our water being refilled and someone near the table watching and making sure we had perfect service throughout. Kim was our lead server and she was so friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. The crabcake was full of crab and spicy, but a tiny bit burned around the edges, and the remoulade was perfection. The shrimp cocktail was very fresh. A big highlight for both of us was the lobster bisque, originally ordered to be just for me but it came in a very large bowl and was so scrumptious my husband had to try it and he finished it for me. Every bite had a chunk of lobster in it. Very rich and exquisite and would be a meal in itself with the bread service and a cocktail. Because of all of this delicious food, we changed our minds from the larger steaks and we both had petite filet. Our sides were the creamed spinach and the garlic mashed potatoes. The steaks were absolutely perfect, could not have been better, the perfect size with the amount of food that we were eating. We still ended up with a bag of food to take home. Looking forward to leftovers tonight. We also finished with the butter cake that comes so highly recommended and it was beautiful and delicious. It's enough for four people as we brought half of it home. We were in and out in two hours, perfect timing and not rushed. We are already planning our anniversary dinner there. I highly recommend to anyone wanting a special dining experience.

Amazing location, great service and good food in an upscale environment. Food: I really enjoyed my meal here! They started us off with a ton of bread which was delicious! The oysters were amazing and perfect for a spot like this. For my main I ordered the wild mushroom gnocchi which was so good! For sides, I recommend the scalloped potatoes - very creamy and cheesy! We got dessert and I'd come back just for the butter cake- it was too good! Since it was my birthday they gave us a cheesecake as well! Ambience: wonderful ambience - it's very spacious and has an amazing view of the city! Price: very expensive 1 but expected for a spot like this Service: good service where everyone was attentive

Soon as he found out we came all the way from Hawaii, he made us feel right at home. Real good energy, super welcoming, and took care of us the whole night. The adults started with a couple Manhattans, and da buggahs had mana . Exactly how a Manhattan supposed to be. For appetizers, we went with the full Abe's Seafood Tower and the Caesar salad. I highly recommend both. My daughter and son went all in, and the homemade croutons made that Caesar salad pop. We liked the oysters so much, we ended up ordering another dozen. Sahin told us the Duxbury oysters (I think that's the ones we had) are local to the Boston region and are farmed in the upper water column above the oyster bed, which keeps them in the current and gives them that clean, briny taste. Mean, supah ono! For the main, we shared the 22 oz bone in ribeye and lobster tail. Steak was cooked proper, juicy, flavorful, just how it should be. Sahin even offered to have the steak sliced up for us, which was a nice touch. For sides, we had the au gratin potatoes and Brussels sprouts. Both were super tasty, and the Brussels sprouts had that perfect char. Ended the meal with da cookie dessert which had homemade whipped cream. Overall, real good experience. Great food, great drinks, and service that made us feel comfortable from the jump. If you staying in Boston and like seafood and steak, this spot is worth checking out. Just note, it's a typical Boston setting, everybody talk loud haha. Mahalo plenty, Sahin. It was a pleasure. I give dis place, 2 shakas and an auriiite!

Given the choice, however, I now prefer the modern, polished, almost clubby feel of this location in the Seaport. The restaurant isn't particularly large, but it's a beautifully designed space. For larger groups, they have a few round tables that work especially well, including one that perfectly accommodated our party of seven. You can always count on a great dining experience at any of Chef Jamie Mammano's restaurants. His commitment to the highest quality chow, attentive service, fine wines, and an elegant atmosphere has made him one of Boston's most respected restaurateurs. Our meal here was spectacular. The cocktails were perfectly crafted, and it's hard to go wrong with anything on the menu. Standout starters included the Wagyu Beef Dumplings, Tuna Tartare, and the Dry-Aged Bolognese Lumache. For entrées, we shared several different cuts of steak, all expertly prepared and presented sliced for the table. The Beef Wellington is also fantastic here. The sides are uniformly excellent, but don't miss the Char-Roasted Heirloom Carrots with Honey and the Yukon Gold Potatoes. Desserts are equally impressive. Highly recommend both the Milk & Cookies and the Bananas Foster. I'd like to especially thank our waitress, who provided exceptional service and helped make the evening truly special. We were celebrating my son's graduation, and her warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail enhanced what was already a memorable occasion. I also appreciated the excellent service from their new sommelier. Mooo continues to set the standard for the modern Boston steakhouse experience. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The reservation process was easy and a group of 5 was easily accommodated on the day and time requested. We arrived together after a short walk from the office. Bonus points to Moooo for not only having complimentary coat check, but also safe bag storage knowing much of their clientele on a weeknight is in transit from the office to home. Please people, don't forget to tip the coat check girls, it is only the right thing to do. Seated at our table the restaurant was initially fairly empty, but filled up nicely while we are already enjoying cocktails, wine, and appetizers. The long bar followed by tables of various sizes filled the restaurant, but it never was too loud and there was plenty of space between tables that you did not feel like you were sitting on top of each other or listening to their conversation more then the person across from your own table. Like most fine dining experiences, the complimentary rolls were served warm and lathered in melted butter. Sinful!. We ordered several appetizers for the table to share including tuna tartare which was very tasty and recommended. I also recommend the Japanese wagyu beef dumplings which were both delicate and savory. Lastly, the calamari was crispy and hot with the right amount of heat from the lemon and herb aioli. To accompany the entrees we ordered the broccolini, Yukon gold potatoes and the highly recommended tater tots. The only issue we had was with the tots which we collectively thought were both slightly over cooked and tasted "different". Said another way, I have never had a tater tot that didn't leave me wanting to eat them one after another until they were all gone, but this one was more than enough and more than 3/4 of the serving was left for the bus-person. Three of us ordered the 8oz Omaha filet which were cooked to perfection and delicious. Why is there not a 12 oz offering like most steak houses? Literally mine looked like it was 4 oz on the large, stark white plate when served. Thankfully being cooked to a perfect medium rare and accompanies by a bordelaise sauce which is also a rarity to find offered, was a treat. The prime New York sirloin and prime ribeye were equally cooked perfectly and delicious. We passed on dessert or after dinner drinks, but certainly enjoyed our visit. I have eaten at the Beacon Hill location previously, but this was my first experience in the seaport, but it won't be my last.

No complaints there. The trouble starts the moment you venture beyond the cut of beef. On both steak visits, the sides disappointed. The Yukon gold potatoes tasted off, hard to put a finger on exactly why, but something wasn't right. The tater tots were fine, though really only worth ordering for the truffle aioli that came with them; the tots themselves were forgettable. Neither side felt like it belonged on a steakhouse menu at this price point. I also came in once hoping a Bolognese would impress and it didn't. The pasta was cooked so al dente it crossed the line into underdone, and the sauce had the consistency of a broth rather than the rich, clinging ragu you'd hope for. It felt like a dish from a completely different kitchen. The steaks here are legitimately good, and if that's all you're after, you'll leave happy. The atmosphere is comfortable and classy, and I almost felt like smoking a cigar or something while I was in the booth haha Our server didn't rush us and we had plenty of time to choose from the wine selection. The basket of bread was terrific, all kinds in there which I appreciate. I had a piece that tasted like it had cheesy onion in there, which I haven't had before. I got a cabernet to start. My appetizer was a lovely, refreshing salad, mixed greens with kale, feta cheese, dried cherries, toasted almonds, orzo and walnut mustard vinaigrette. There were wonderful textures to enjoy and it's probably enough for two people. I also had the wonderful German Riesling white wine they had. I had to go all out for the entree, choosing the seared hand-carved tenderloin (two 4 oz. pieces) with two butter poached lobster tails! I haven't had lobster surf 'n turf in many years so it was fun to have again. The dinner was wonderful, with hearty medium rare steaks very juicy and bursting with flavor. The lobster tails were sublime, and well garnished. We also got garlic spinach and mashed potatoes to share which were perfect sides. Because someone sent an appetizer back, we got a really nice dessert of a chocolate cake and some kind of soft tan colored cake with a lovely crust underneath.
