I had a very unpleasant experience here after trying the creme brulee matcha drink. Shortly after, I became extremely ill and nearly passed out while I was out in public. Thankfully, I was with my family that day. The following day, once I was feeling a little better, I contacted the store to let them know what had happened. Unfortunately, I never received any response or follow-up, which was disappointing given the severity of the situation. I understand that this could have been a one-off incident, but I wanted to share my experience to make other customers aware. The drink itself was also very disappointing. I tried a couple of things in this newly opened bright and beautiful shop. Here's my review. TL;DR: I will be returning to try some of their other flavored matcha drinks. Creme Brulee Matcha Latte: 4 out of 5 when I first started drinking it, but then 5 out of 5 the day after. If you like Biscoff cookies, you will love this drink. It is labeled as crème brûlée, but I think it might be a misnomer because this tastes like Biscoff cookie spices rather than caramelized sugar. Will reorder. Ceremonial Matcha: 3.5 out of 5. I think this is good, but not mind-blowing. Maybe it's because I was having the creme brulee matcha as well, and this one just paled in comparison. Large cup gelato with matcha, Thai tea, and pistachio: hands down, we'll get pistachio (5 out of 5) again- very lovely pistachio flavor. The second one I'd get again is matcha (4 out of 5) - it is pleasantly strong and not bitter. Thai tea is a pass - will not order again as it's nothing special. The crème brûlée with Biscoff was delicious, especially with the thick cheese top. I added the additional tea jelly which enhanced the texture and flavor. I haven't been so excited to write about a matcha spot for awhile. I know Boba Bliss(down the street) is good and I wasn't really feeling matcha, but I wanted to try out a new spot and I am so glad I did because I am obsessed! My friends got their drinks before I was even done ordering so I finalized my order with the Matcha latte float (jasmine matcha gelato) and the gelato. Both items had really bold flavors and the matcha was smooth and not grainy or chalky. The matcha latte was light and refreshing, and matched well with the jasmine gelato, which made it rich and creamy. I inhaled the entire drink before the ice had a chance to melt. It was so rich that it left a coating on the ice and I was literally thinking about making a second drink by adding just water to the remnants. I didn't ...but I should have! The gelato was really really good. I missed this one tofu gelato I had in Hong Kong and the rice flavor reminded me of it(I know ....they are completely different. Indirectly hinting for them to create a new flavor =p, girl can only hope right? Please let me know if you ever see tofu on their menu!) Love the freeze dried strawberry and the rice bits. I ordered a regular cup of gelato, which comes with 2 flavors - I chose their Fragrant Milk Rice and Matcha #3. I also ordered a Salted Cheese Matcha with Milk Mochi and Mochi Skewer. The milk rice flavor was okay, a bit plain from what I expected or had at other spots and the matcha was super creamy - the gelato melted really quickly though, quicker than most places.
