Not a good experience. Came here because the ratings are good on google maps. Ordered the matcha frappe thinking it would have a strong matcha flavor, but for some reason it contained sort of like Biscoff cookie pieces inside that was a huge downside and not appetizing at all. I couldn't finish the drink and had to throw it away. Not coming again especially given how high the prices are. read more

There is a new matcha spot in Mountain View! I ordered their Matcha No 1 and Silician Pistachio gelato flavors in a regular cup. The Silician Pistachio was tasty, light, and creamy! The Matcha No 1 gelato flavor was a little more clumpy, but had a rich matcha taste! The space is open and inviting, and the staff were welcoming and attentive. I went on a weekday afternoon, and there were less people. The prices are on the higher end, my regular cup with two gelato flavors cost over $8. Would return again! read more

What a great addition to this area! Is matcha overdone? Yes! But there wasnt a walkable matcha store in this area where there's a lot of complexes. It just makes sense since theres teaspoon, boba bliss, junbi closeby. The matcha here does seem a bit better quality than all the other matcha shops that are following the trend. They also have house made ice cream. Ive been saying this area rly needs a ice cream shop! I got the riccota citrus - not bad. I also got the fragrant rice. I dont hate it but i dont get it. Its rly bland for an ice cream i would say even bland for asian parent standards. But i like the texture! Its like mochi. They invested in the decor. The chairs are really nice and comfortable. Even the signage is nice. Yes obviously their main sell is matcha but i wish they had other types of drink to offer, like Hojicha. Just matcha is very limiting. read more

overall decent spot for matcha and ice cream if you're in the area, but it's not worth the extremely long wait times. the mostly 5 stars on google are from opening promotions, so take those reviews with a grain of salt we got the double matcha, isuzu matcha latte, and strawberry + mango passion fruit sorbet got lowest sweetness for both matchas and they were on the sweeter and milkier side, I could tell they use pretty high quality matcha at first sip but I think the proportions were a bit off because once blended with the milk, you can barely taste the matcha the sorbets were pretty good, very smooth, fruity, and sweet, but at a high price point read more

Was around the area and craving matcha! Found Matcha Mori and so glad I did! There was a bit of a crowd, but we got our order quickly after ordering on the kiosk. Inside was a wall of tables where people were chatting & working. The Matcha itself was a little on the bitter and pricy end but tastes high quality. The boba inside the brown sugar matcha was super delicious! I would definitely recommend if youre wanting quality flavored matcha- I would love to try their strawberry or mango next! read more

great place! I'm surprised it only had a 3.5/5 on yelp. OVERALL: this place has solid drinks, a pretty quick/responsive staff, and good ambiance (even if the inside is a bit small). it's not my matcha place in the pensinsula, but it's solid and def deserves higher than the current 3.5/5. my only critique is that I find it a bit strange that matcha mori tapes up all but one of their outlets. I understand the reasoning on the business end. however, I'm very much a believer in cafes as third-spaces. as a new cafe, I'd want to cultivate comfort/community so that people WANT to come back. but also, I get wanting to increase customer turnover so that you can pay your rent. ANYWAY, I got: - milky mochi isuzu matcha latte: 5/5 YUM! I was a bit apprehensive since most places put too much or too little mochi, but matcha mori had the perfect amount. and the mochi actually tasted like sweet rice which I really loved! I don't like my drinks too sweet so I got 30% sweet like I usually do, and honestly I wish I would've gotten 50% sweet. the matcha was strong with a very nutty flavor and a bit of a bitter aftertaste. not gritty at all. the milk top was SOOOOOO yum. After picking up my daughter from school, she noticed a new matcha tea shop opened up next door to little caesers. She decided to pop in and explore the menu a bit. She saw that they have gelato and wanted to try it out. She ordered the fragrant rice milk flavor. I got to sample it and we both agreed that it was delicious. This place just had their official opening this past weekend and it was packed! The service went by quick and it helps that there are two kiosks you can order at. The only thing that was weird was that you had to show them your receipt for them to grab your soft serve. Their Soft serve was good. I tried their affogato - delish. Also had their match latte w/ the no. 3 ice cream and it was so good. The matcha was not too sweet at all so the ice cream added a great touch to it. read more

Matcha Mori is located in a decently spacious plaza. This plaza does not seem too busy and there are plenty of shared parking spaces. Not much service, as I ordered on the kiosk inside. It was also a bit difficult to get the attention of the employees to ask questions as well because they seem to avoid eye contact and walk by you even if you stand by the front counter. I ordered a regular cup of gelato, which comes with 2 flavors - I chose their Fragrant Milk Rice and Matcha #3. I also ordered a Salted Cheese Matcha with Milk Mochi and Mochi Skewer. The milk rice flavor was okay, a bit plain from what I expected or had at other spots and the matcha was super creamy - the gelato melted really quickly though, quicker than most places. The matcha drink was okay, a bit gritty. The mochi skewer for the drink came on the side, so I just ate it separately. For almost $25, it was not really worth it. read more

Matcha Mori is the newest matcha & gelato spot that recently opened in Mountain View. They have a handful of matcha drinks and gelatos to choose from. I got the Double Rich Matcha and the matcha wasn't strong enough for me unfortunately. I'm not sure what milk they used, but it has an interesting oat milk taste and I'm not a fan of plant-based milks. The Matcha No 3 Gelato didn't have a strong matcha taste either, and it didn't help when I put the matcha gelato into the Double Rich Matcha to save the drink. However, I really like their Mango Sorbet Gelato since it tasted very refreshing and fruity. It has a strong mango and passionate taste that I really enjoy, which redeemed the whole experience. We tried the double double (matcha latte with matcha cheese foam) and it was incredible!! Smooth, super strong (if you're sensitive to caffeine, definitely go for the regular), slightly nutty and sweet. The cheese foam was the best I've ever had! The inside of the cafe is really cute and has comfortable seating. The wait time is quite long, but as they just opened it looks like they're just figuring out the kinks. -1 star because it is very much on the expensive side (it was almost $30 for our two drinks), and the use of AI-generated images on the menu and throughout the cafe. Before I start my review , I want to give a sincere feedback to the owner/staff. So please don't take it in a wrong way but as a constructive criticism since I have tried Matcha drinks at 20+ places before and I feel you will be able to improvise on it and earn some loyal Matcha aficionados. Please try the same ' Crème Brûlée Matcha swirl latte' drink at Izumi Matcha- Cupertino which is at the same price like yours and then see for yourself what a vast difference it is in terms of quality and recipe of your creation with it. I sincerely felt when I had your version, it was as if I was having a Biscoff drink with lots of egg cream, cookie crumbs and lots of ice with a minimum quantity of matcha. There is really a feeling of completely mismatched expectations for a customer like me who wanted a simple matcha latte drink with crème brûlée. Try your competition and then decide for yourself! The reviews of this place surprise me! I could definitely taste the matcha in my drink, and it caught me by surprise just how strong it was (which I love)!! I feel like it is pretty rare to find a place that doesn't skimp on their matcha to milk ratio, so thank you, Matcha Mori, for that!! Disappointing experience at Matcha Mori - we waited over 30+ minutes for our drinks - they forgot 1 of 2 drinks in our order, so one was made and one was forgotten until my husband asked why everyone's orders after ours were called and ours weren't after waiting 30+ minutes. One drink was ready and it sat there forever so it wasn't good anymore and the other one they quickly made wasn't great. We understand they are newly opened and they hand whisk their drinks but I think this is a one and done for us. There are better spots out there worth visiting. read more

Matcha dubai chocolate $15 is good but expensive. Their fragrant milk ice cream is good. Their drinks are not good. Too milky/bland and not enough of matcha flavor. If you don't like your drink, they will not make another one for you as they will need to ring you up for another drink. I do not recommend their pistachio matcha nor the strawberry matcha drink. as someone who seeks out speciality matcha cafes, i found myself sort of underwhelmed. i got the MILKY MOCHI ISUZU MATCHA LATTE ($8.99). presentation-wise, it's beautiful and very instagram worthy (but i didn't take nice photos because it was honestly pretty busy for a monday at 1pm, but the line did go decently fast). my drink was smooth & creamy, and i loved that it wasn't overly sweet. my main criticism is the matcha itself. the isuzu matcha flavor was very nutty and roasted than umami/grassy forward, so i wish there was just MORE. the flavor was pleasant but fairly subtle. i think the milk and foam ontop ended up muting the matcha taste completely. my biggest hesitation was the price. with the added dango ($3.99) ontop my total came out to be $14.25 for one beverage, and i usually get my beverages with oatmilk but i opted out today because of the $1.00 upcharge. while the drink was somewhat enjoyable and aesthetically pleasing, the flavor just didn't leave a strong enough impression for me to feel like the price was justified. too mild for my taste. i'd probably recommend this place to people who like creamier & dessert-like beverages. those who seek a stronger matcha presence and depth from the tea, may find this place underwhelming. read more

New hip Matcha/Gelato shop that just opened this week based on the signs. Really cool looking and uses top tier ceremonial grade matcha. Overpriced diabetes in a cup. Got the strawberry matcha. Do yourself a favor: save yourself the trip and money. Go across Safeway and buy the Nestle strawberry milk. Boba Bliss would never. We waited in line for 15 minutes to be told at the front that they were no longer taking orders for drinks because they were backed up on orders. We ended up getting a regular cup with the matcha and the rice gelato. Matcha gelato wasn't anything special and the rice gelato had grains of whole rice left in it. The interior is nice and light, matching the elegance of the desserts. We ordered three items on the menu: the pillow cake, the bisou, and the blueberry lavender roll. Here are some thoughts: * Pillowcase cake: It may seem like this would be a fluffy cake due to the nature of its shape, but it is a gelatinous Jell-O cake with fruit jam. It was not bad, and tasted refreshing and light. I didn't know if I liked it at first, but ultimately I did come back for seconds and thirds, so this is approved. * Blueberry lavender roll cake: This was not at all what we were expecting. It is very sweet, however, but overall, I really enjoyed this one and feel like it would go great with a cup of coffee. What made the experience here a 3 instead of a 4 or 5 was the service we got. We weren't greeted when we came in, which, to be fair, is totally fine, maybe they were busy. However, the person helping us stared at us the whole time and did not really communicate well with us. When I tried to order the cakes for my family, they looked bothered that we were there, and I was not sure if they understood what pastries I was ordering because they did not repeat it back to us at all or confirm anything. When I did place the order, they slowly grabbed the plates and looked visually confused, which again, if they wanted to, I could have repeated it back to them. After they gathered everything, they put it in front of us and rang me up. The whole time, they did not say a word to me at all. Did not reconfirm anything, did not acknowledge we were there, did not say thank you. It was a bit strange, and I had to check with my family if it was me or if that was a really weird experience (it wasn't me).

Their gelato is a must-try--the mango, rice, and jasmine matcha flavors were standout favorites. We also sampled the strawberry matcha and matcha milk mochi drinks. You can instantly tell the matcha is high-grade; it has that wonderful ocean-breeze seaweed aroma, with a beautifully balanced sweetness that isn't overpowering. It happens to be located right near my workplace, making it my perfect new go-to. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed their Dubai chocolate, which was spectacular. Matcha Mori is easily one of my favorite spots now. The matcha here is so smooth and rich, you can tell they use quality ceremonial grade powder. Trio Topping Milk Tea - 9/10 - I'm usually a fruit tea person, but their milk tea with 3 toppings (boba, coconut jelly, and milk pudding) is really good. I really tasted the tea flavor and enjoyed it. Strawberry Tea - 8/10 - Very good! It's on the sweeter side, but I love the tart of the strawberry balanced by the sweetness and also the fact that it comes with coconut jelly. Matcha Soft Serve - 9.5/10 - The best thing I've had here. I've only had it once but I can't stop thinking about it. Literally drooling as I'm writing this review. Overall, amazing price point, quick service, and great drinks and soft serve. :-)

I found the cute little shop tucked in a side street. After looking over the menu I decided to order a specialty drink. Guihua Oat Latte (made with house made osmanthus syrup & dried osmanthus flowers - delicate, peachy flavor) My drink was absolutely delightful. I wish we lived closer!!!! But we'll be back for sure. 10/10

The coffee was so good! I specially asked for less sweetened and forgot to request for an extra shot & had to rush home but it came out perfectly strong, balanced & tasty. I saved half of the drink for my husband and he also really liked it too, believe it's a great substitute to our favorite iced macadamia nut latte from Hawaii .

Only downside is that it is pretty expensive, came out to like $8 a coffee, if not more. Inside has some seating but is pretty dark, but there's some outdoor seating as well which is nice especially in the summer.
