great place! I'm surprised it only had a 3.5/5 on yelp. OVERALL: this place has solid drinks, a pretty quick/responsive staff, and good ambiance (even if the inside is a bit small). it's not my matcha place in the pensinsula, but it's solid and def deserves higher than the current 3.5/5. my only critique is that I find it a bit strange that matcha mori tapes up all but one of their outlets. I understand the reasoning on the business end. however, I'm very much a believer in cafes as third-spaces. as a new cafe, I'd want to cultivate comfort/community so that people WANT to come back. but also, I get wanting to increase customer turnover so that you can pay your rent. ANYWAY, I got: - milky mochi isuzu matcha latte: 5/5 YUM! I was a bit apprehensive since most places put too much or too little mochi, but matcha mori had the perfect amount. and the mochi actually tasted like sweet rice which I really loved! I don't like my drinks too sweet so I got 30% sweet like I usually do, and honestly I wish I would've gotten 50% sweet. the matcha was strong with a very nutty flavor and a bit of a bitter aftertaste. not gritty at all. the milk top was SOOOOOO yum. CAN YOU STUDY HERE? 3.9/5 -- tbh yeah, they have one open outlet and a couple more outlets taped up, a restroom, comfortable seats, sizable tables, and it's not too loud. however, again ONE outlet and it's a bit small inside. if you come early with a charged laptop, for sure! I'd def come back.

Came here for the matcha and milk rice, surprised by the Golden Citrus Ricotta gelato. Matcha: 3.8/5, very strong, great if you prefer the bitter grass profile Gelato: 3.5/5 texture, 5/5 golden citrus ricotta flavor Ambiance: 3.2/5 Instagram: TianTianEats

$7.50 for two flavors of gelato in a cup: 5/5: pistachio: respectable. A little too sweet, but great strength and flavor. Tan colored. 4/5: Rice gelato; Very pleasant; subtle bits of rice for interest. No flavor added. A bit over-stabilized. Definitely worth trying once.

Matcha Mori is a newly opened matcha spot in Mountain View and I had to check it out. I tried the crème brûlée matcha and the milky mochi matcha, and both were really yummy. I'm more impressed by the mochi drink, mochi has a very unique texture, kinda liquid style but still chewy. I left my drink on the refrigerator overnight, and the next morning mochi was still stretchy, not stiff at all!!!! And for the matcha, you can definitely tell that they use a high quality matcha. The shop has a very cute, minimal white aesthetic that makes it super cozy. There's also free wifi and a few seats inside if you want to stay and hang out. I went there on a busy day but the service was still quick and efficient, got my drinks after like 10 minutes. Overall, great matcha place in the area and I'd love to come back again.

The Fresh Mango Matcha Latte caught my attention--it sounds so interesting! I also noticed they offer a matcha parfait. I've never tried a matcha parfait before, but it looks delicious. I'll have to give it a try one day!

Decent matcha latte, that could be stronger in matcha flavor. I would prefer to be punched in the face with grassy flavor. Lots of ice in the cup though, so less bang for your buck.

Really nice interior design and seating. I like the large menu and drinks seem good too. Good amount of parking as well. Would recommend!

Came on a weekend right when they opened at 11:30. This place gets really busy right at the dot, which makes sense since they just opened recently two weeks ago (5/20/2026). The interior is nice, clean, and well lit. We got their strawberry and mango matcha lattes. Both were really good, not too sweet since they use fresh puree and chunks at the bottom instead of syrup.

After seeing the reviews, I was hoping the people were wrong, but they were right. This place has a lovely ambiance but the matcha was just not right. The place was very clean with lovely topiary on the walls. It looks crowded outside but people are really just waiting for their order. The service was very quick. I wanted to treat myself to ice cream. I tried the matcha 3 and fragrant rice milk. It could be a preference thing, but the fragrant rice milk was too strong for me. It tasted like paste and I did not like it at all. The matcha was not smooth. I would have preferred Izumi Matcha over this. Sadly, I will have to skip out on this one. Not the best out there.

Yay aesthetics! =/ Matcha Mori has their aesthetics and vibes down solid. It's chic, boutique-y, and the layered matcha lattes are IG pretty. Sadly, how they taste is another story... Soft opening this week, Matcha Mori has the same concept as Matsu Matcha (Santa Clara) and Matcha Town (Cupertino/E San Jo) serving matcha lattes & housemade gelatos. Oat milk available for +$1. Staff will offer a free plushie in exchange for a 5 star review. D R I N K S Matcha is hand-whisked to order. * Strawberry Matcha Latte ($8.99) - Request 50% sweet * Mango Matcha Latte ($8.99) - Request 30% sweet Style over substance, the matcha latte was visually appealing with layers of chunky strawberry/mango purée, a foam top, and dried fruit garnish. But, beyond the aesthetics, it faceplanted....the matcha flavor was nonexistent, not even a hint of earthiness. Similar to the way that white dragon fruit tastes like...nothing. Super disappointing for the price point. G E L A T O * 1/2 Rice Milk, 1/2 Strawberry Yogurt (Regular-$7.59) The rice milk gelato had the proper dense, stretchy consistency and legit tasted like rice milk...mild, clean flavor with a subtle sweetness. The strawberry yogurt was ice cream-like in texture, ran more sweet than tart. S E R V I C E Contactless ordering via kiosk. With no line, our order took about 10 minutes. A M B I A N C E Modern chic with five tables inside, two outside, and EDM covers bumping. Overall, loved the playlist and shaded outdoor seating. Given the influx of matcha shops opening in the bay, I hope Matcha Mori ups their game.

The drinks here are pretty good. I usually come during off peak times and there hasn't really been too much of a wait and parking was plentiful. Easy ordering through the kiosk/tablet. It's a small place but there are a few spots inside for dining in or just hanging out. Although pretty good, the drinks are a bit pricey even for the area. Convenient and delicious for a drop in now and then!

We have a new matcha spot in town! Matcha Mori definitely did NOT disappoint us during our first visit today! This is another one of those matcha/boba shops where you typically don't interact with the baristas and place your order on a kiosk. Then your order number will show on the screen once it's ready and you pick it up at the counter. The vibe inside is very cute! I love the cutesy cafe aesthetic they have going on. Now onto the drinks!! Strawberry Matcha Latte - 8.5/10 - I usually don't like creamy tops with my strawberry matcha, but this place makes me want to have it more often! The cream top reminded me of strawberry milk, and the matcha is strong!!! I was low-key cracked out for the rest of the day lol. Double Matcha Latte - 8/10 - My partner got this drink. She really liked the cream as well, and the matcha was strong and not too sweet - just how she likes it. We will be coming back :)

A new matcha spot is open! They have both matcha drinks and ice cream flavors. I tried the crème brûlée matcha. Drinks were quick to be made, although there was a line that formed.

We always ask for a table with chairs because I have back problems and can't sit in their totally worn booths and the host has never had a problem with that request. But yesterday the regular host wasn't there and we were told they were busy and we had to sit at the counter or in a booth because they didn't want to put us the two of us at a table for four (there were two tables available). We waited for nearly ten minutes and when I asked again if we could sit at one of the tables was almost rudely told no, they were busy. So we left and went to Joanie's on California Avenue. They were also busy but immediately seated us and we had a much better lunch. Sometimes it's good to change things up as we'd forgotten how kind and attentive all the of the staff are at Joanie's and how much better the food was. And both of our plates of food came out hot and perfectly cooked which doesn't always happen at the Creamery. I guess we just eat there for the memories. My husband said none of the staff at the Creamery seem happy except for the host so if we don't see him seating the guests, we'll just go to Joanie's.

I wonder if the rest of the cakes have gotten super sweet too? We loved this place due to balanced desserts - deducted one star due to the sweet cake I also deducted another star based on my experience with their croissants. The plain croissant is surprisingly sweet, seemingly due to a sugar glaze or syrup on top (see images) and it tasted old but a plain croissant should be buttery, flaky, and crispy, not coated in something sugary and it wasn't crispy at all. The thing is, a well-made plain croissant should have a natural amber sheen just from the egg wash, and there is no need for sugary syrup, but their croissants have a clear thick glaze that is pooled and caramelized on top, so it felt like eating a sweet bread. I had high hopes given how consistently great their cakes have been, so hopefully it's something they revisit and do better on. Their service history has been great, but as the years have gone by, it's not as friendly or inviting as it used to be (the place has gotten popular over the years, so we have noticed a few things are sliding downhill, so I am curious how this place will be over the next few years). The interior is small (no seating inside, but they do have a few tables outside), we have always taken it to go from here. I am hoping the rest of the cakes aren't sweet, we will try them and will update the review again

Pinkberry is a counter-service frozen yogurt shoppe located on the El Camino Real side of the mall. The small, but clean venue is compact, likely with a maximum occupancy of about thirty persons in the customer area. At peak times, especially during warm days, the compact store can get crowded, which can impact customer comfort and the overall experience, especially with only about two to three tables available for outdoor seating. The menu offers refreshing COLD BREW FRUIT TEAS, fresh fruit smoothies, rotating seasonal flavours of frozen yogurt, and a variety of toppings from cereal to fruit to Nutella. While they have a wide selection of toppings, they stick to a small menu of froyo flavours, one of which is always dairy-free. Classic flavours that are permanent residents are original and chocolate hazelnut. If you are indecisive over which yogurt flavour(s) to choose, the staff will happily provide small samples to taste. Z and V almost always go for the chocolate hazelnut over the tart fruit flavours. The STRAWBERRY HIBISCUS COLD BREW FRUIT TEA is also a delightful drink. When I followed up, instead of apologizing or trying to fix the situation, the cashier gave me attitude and claimed she "never saw me," which is simply not true. There was zero accountability. I was then told I could either wait another 15 minutes or take an empty cup with low-quality yogurt -- followed by "what do you want me to do about it?" That response was incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful. Mistakes happen, but the way this was handled with dismissiveness and no effort to make it right is unacceptable.
