My child and I stopped at Mattito's in Flowrr Mound at 12:59 pm on January Saturday 25th 2025 (literally right now) we walking in to a super dusty restaurant the owners can see the footage of me running my hand on the host booth. It was a desolated and empty restaurant with no one to greet us at the door. After a few minutes a lady with a chef coat that read manager walked a host to the host booth teaching her how to operate telephones, nor the manager or the host greeted us. The host proceeded to ask me how could she help me? I asked for a table for 2, then she replied it was going to be a 40 to 40 minute wait. I asked her why since the restaurant was completely empty, then she replied our servers are handling some large parties, large parties take priority over anything. After said statement we walked out. Our family LOVES this spot. We visit typically at least once a week. Sunday Brunch is awesome and everyone gets something they love. Eddie is our go to server but all servers are great. The meat is never greasy which we like and the salsa is amazing. Great for a quick date night, lunch on the patio with the pup or family brunch. read more

We wanted to try the new location since they closed the one on I35. The restaurant was pretty busy but that was expected for a Friday night. Our party was seated after a short wait and drink orders taken quickly. The food was hot and tasty but they forgot a side item, a crispy taco as part of the dish my wife ordered the Paco. We gave up after reminding them about the missing item twice! The waiter was quick to refill our drinks but they soon ran out of ice. They recently opened up in the old Black Walnut Cafe building . A coworker mentioned the change so I stopped in to give them a try. The waitress was super friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is nice and wasn't too loud. The food was good , not great , but good. The menu has a nice selection as well . All in all, I enjoyed my experience and will return again . Tried tonight for the first time. Wasn't too busy. Food came out quick, but I can see why. It tasted reheated and everything was just dry. Our waitress checked on us one time, wasn't even the one who gave us our food. Her and a few other waitresses were more interested in hanging around the bar area and the host was on their phone the entire time. I don't think she ever actually looked at us when she was speaking, it seemed as if she were more worried about her tables who were ordering alcohol.. will not be back, was not worth $45. read more

As always, everything from the food to the service was A+! We ordered the salmon agave and it was delicious (as usual)! The salmon is grilled and the vegetables are steamed so we know we are eating a healthy lunch when we order this dish! We also love getting the fajitas and the beef nachos! My ice tea and the salsa never went dry. This is one of our favorite Mexican restaurants and we highly recommend! We also recommend the Sunday mimosa brunch! The first couple times had me questioning if it was worth the review so I didn't... it's been a year and I'm happy to see what I saw! We ordered the nachos (they have the ones with stuff on every chip not a pile fyi) and they were good! We got the tacos al carbon, brisket tacos, and bacon breakfast tacos... everything was delicious though the brisket could have come with some avocado and the carbon could come with more... So More Avocado Guys!!! But the food absolutely made me happy... until desert! We got the sopapillas and those were just bad so avoid those! The service though (Edie), absolutely amazing!!! My sister had the breakfast tacos but decided she didn't feel like that so just wanted to take them home... he asked if she would like something else instead if she didn't like it!
