We wanted to try the new location since they closed the one on I35. The restaurant was pretty busy but that was expected for a Friday night. Our party was seated after a short wait and drink orders taken quickly. The food was hot and tasty but they forgot a side item, a crispy taco as part of the dish my wife ordered the Paco. We gave up after reminding them about the missing item twice! The waiter was quick to refill our drinks but they soon ran out of ice. Other than the two small issues we enjoyed our meal and will give them another try when not so busy. read more

They recently opened up in the old Black Walnut Cafe building . A coworker mentioned the change so I stopped in to give them a try. The waitress was super friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is nice and wasn't too loud. The food was good , not great , but good. The menu has a nice selection as well . All in all, I enjoyed my experience and will return again . Went here trying to enjoy and Friday night after a hard days of work. Chicken was super dry I felt like I was going to choke on it. All the sauces had the texture as they were re heated from days ago. Waitress only cared about that tables that were ordering drinks as they were going to tip more. As always, everything from the food to the service was A+! We ordered the salmon agave and it was delicious (as usual)! The salmon is grilled and the vegetables are steamed so we know we are eating a healthy lunch when we order this dish! We also love getting the fajitas and the beef nachos! My ice tea and the salsa never went dry. This is one of our favorite Mexican restaurants and we highly recommend! We also recommend the Sunday mimosa brunch! The first couple times had me questioning if it was worth the review so I didn't... it's been a year and I'm happy to see what I saw! We ordered the nachos (they have the ones with stuff on every chip not a pile fyi) and they were good! We got the tacos al carbon, brisket tacos, and bacon breakfast tacos... everything was delicious though the brisket could have come with some avocado and the carbon could come with more... So More Avocado Guys!!! But the food absolutely made me happy... until desert! We got the sopapillas and those were just bad so avoid those! The service though (Edie), absolutely amazing!!! My sister had the breakfast tacos but decided she didn't feel like that so just wanted to take them home... he asked if she would like something else instead if she didn't like it! Edie was the best and this experience was great and much needed! I would recommend... oh and get the black beans!! read more

Long time fans of Mattitos. The food is always delicious and exceptionaly prepared. The wait staff is professional, friendly, and perfectly attentive. We were sad after the Los Colinas location closed but were happy to find Alex, the general Mgr, at the Flower Mound location. I just wish they would PLEASE bring back the buffet! I was visiting DFW and my friend said we should try this Mexican restaurant nearby her house. I was excited to find out it was Mattito's, one of my favorites as I've been to downtown and Irving. It was a group of 7 and our server, Eddie was excellent. From drinks to dessert, Eddie was on top of things as we are a pretty picky group since we rarely order a dish as it is on the menu. Their salsa has a great kick to it, unlike most restaurants that is just tomato-ey.. this is gooooood. We got the secret menu queso. And it was amazing but I felt like i just ate a weeks worth of calories in this thing lol ground beef, guacamole, sour cream and questo. Super good but heavy. Their shrimp and fish tacos were great. I liked how thin the tortilla were and only 1 shell not doubled. But they weren't amazing. They were good... just not great. But definitely want to come back to try other items read more

My husband and I decided to make the new Mattito's location part of our Memorial Day weekend plans. We are so glad that we did! They have been open for less than two weeks, but the service was incredible! Every employee had a smile on their face, and they were very attentive. Our waiter was very friendly and informative!
