A dynamite little place for an old school dinner breakfast. Three knocks however: ketchup should be offered with breakfast potatoes, same with jam or jelly with toast, and either get much higher capacity coffee mugs or refill without being asked to do so.

We'll see pic.... 30 bucks for a breakfast 15.00 for omelet, home fries Ice coffee mostly ice 3.50 Scali toast 50 cents extra? Side of ham... destroyed on grill dinky thin piece 4.50 way too high price Add tip 5 bucks... 30 bucks Used to be reasonable here; increased prices substantially, ham slice used to be 1/4 inch thick ham steak not a slice of deli ham grill beyond recognition... Too expensive now with their new prices , decreased offering . Spinach feta cheese omelette was good If I come back, I'll order water and no side of ham deli slice and save 8 bucks... I think better value at my other breakfast spots...increase prices too high... kill the golden goose

So happy I found such a cute diner in Wellesley! There is a good amount of seating inside but still has that cozy, small diner feel. Prices are very low and affordable. Most of the egg dishes came with potatoes. Their potatoes are amazing! Perfectly seasoned and honestly the star of the meal for me. We ordered: Greek Feta Omelette: 4/5 my friend loved it. Came with toast and potatoes. Eggs Benedict: 4/5 very good for the price of $10.95. It also came with toast and potatoes and left me so full. Buttermilk Pancakes: 5/5 yumm 3 huge fluffy pancakes. We were so full we could barely finish. This place will leave you feeling full and happy. Service is to be expected at a diner, but I thought it was pretty good. Great prices for hearty breakfast food.

Nice breakfast at family run restaurant. We had blueberry pancakes, waffles, and eggs Benedict. All good. Nice atmosphere.

A hidden gem in Wellesley. The food is great and very reasonably priced. I would especially recommend the greek yogurt!

Cheap, basically nondescript diner food. I like their breakfast but wouldn't go any other time of day.

Excellent Greek food. Cheap, no-frills lunch spot - perfect for a college student's budget. I only wish they were open for dinner!

Small, friendly, mom-and-pop style diner. Not the greatest selection in the world, but good for a quick, cheap brunch.

There's almost something cozy about a place like this. Knotty P. has all the diner signs: worn counter, people yapping, the waitress taking orders non-stop, booths aren't huge, aisles are tiny (good luck getting to your seat) and the special scrape sound of the large metal spatula touching the steel flattop. If you don't mind sitting shoulder-to-shoulder with the regulars, then the counter is your spot. The only 2 seats available were at the counter and we snagged them. The breakfast potatoes are exactly what you want them to be: crispy-edges and golden- these have a little heat kick- not too much- but just enough to keep you going for another bite. As non-meat eaters, we appreciated how the cook keeps the sausages in their own territory (something is something I guess) from the omelettes, pancakes, etc. Then there's the energy- fast and a little loud in the best way. And right in the middle of it, is Ileana who has that special spark and every beat, timed.

We ordered the salads and all look fresh and very good ingredients. We were never offered fresh bread as I usually are? My weekday lunches with my tuna melt issue ; always offered fresh hot excellent bread? I ordered the Ceasar salad with chicken . It was a good , not a real great salad , it was fresh and was a decent replacement for my tuna melt. But I wanted more of an authentic Caesar taste with an anchovies or Dijon, worchershire, egg and a normal stronger Caesar salad taste, shaved parmesan taste... like I've had elsewhere . It needs more flavor to the salad . it was ok but was just ok .... Dressing may have been out of bottle Caesar salad dressing. My guests their salad selections both looked well prepared . My kids and their cousins came to enjoy it as one of their go to dishes. Just the right amount of spice and good crunch from the crispy nachos. A lot of iterations of Cottage have come and gone since we were first introduced to it almost twenty years ago. They still serve passionfruit iced tea that hits with a nice tart and a hint of sweetness from the orange. Their sandwiches are tasty, I had a blackened cod. The slaw was a touch too runny, it absorbed the heat of the sandwich and overwhelmed the poor onion ring. The cod survived the onslaught, though, and was well cooked and seasoned. Avoid the charcuterie. It was a mess that looked like it was sourced from the deli counter at the local grocery store. Service was friendly and prompt. Still a decent reliable spot in Wellesley!
