I've never had and really wanted to see what they hype was all about. The owner was super nice, and the person on the phone (lady) was so sweet and put my order in for two. I'm so glad I went with 2 not 3 because these things are HUGE! As big as my head/profile. I really enjoyed eating them. So crunchy and just something new for me. They did taste like lumpia for me - not Shanghai but the actual eggroll kind. The ends of the empanadas were the best part in My opinion. OMG' I can eat that part all day lol. Also, I was so surprised (spoiler alert) about the fried egg inside. It made the empanada like a breakfast burrito! Lol so good The actual restaurant is in a strip mall type area with other cultural restaurants, and loved the Filipino displays and decorations. Love that. And the owner told me he was from Ilocos where they learned how to cook these. They had the hot Buffett with the traditional foods, and I liked that they had goat papaitan. I was tempted to buy but didn't. I did end up with cassava cake. Oh, that brings back good old memories of my mom making this! Thank you HERITAGE! Love the name too!!!

Finally checked out West Hill Deli! Absolutely loved their food and ambiance…read more For food, we got the adobo pork belly (comes with macaroni salad, rice, and vegetables on the side) and the pandan fried chicken (comes with rice and veggies on the side). Pandan was super crispy and rice was soft, not mushy. Adobo was rich in garlic and in smoky and sweet flavor. Love they kept the fat on some adobo pieces. Each dish was just enough for us to finish for breakfast. For drinks, we ordered the calamansi juice and calamansi iced tea. Both taste great. Side notes: You order up front, bring your table number, and sit wherever you like. They will bring you your food. Once youre done, please put your food away in the back, which is located on the left hand side of the deli if youre facing the deli at the entryway. It was busy on a Sunday around noon. A few were available but was filled quickly after about half an hour of us arriving. People tend to spend time here. About an hour if youre just there to have a quick meal, but families were gathering and spending time with no rush which i loved. No waitress or waiter to check on you, just only to bring you your food which took a reasonable 2 minutes for drinks and about 10 - 15 for food. Overall, we definitely recommend!

I also tried the garlic fried rice with longanisa and eggs, which was really good too. The longanisa had that nice sweet-savory balance, and the garlic rice was fragrant and comforting, though I'd still pick the sisig if I had to choose between the two. The ube pancakes were delicious soft, slightly sweet, and definitely a fun treat. Fair warning though, they will leave your teeth a little purple for a bit but honestly worth it. I also got the ube coffee and... YUM. Such a good combo with the pancakes. Overall, everything was solid and full of flavor. I'd definitely come back, especially for that pork sisig. Tita is definitely cooking in the back you can taste it.

The sinigang had the perfect balance of sour and savory, and the BBQ skewers were cooked just right. We couldn't leave without dessert and ordered the turon--oh my, it was AMAZING. Crispy, sweet, and the perfect way to end the meal. The service was incredible--truly can't beat Filipino hospitality. Everyone was so kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. There's also a store connected to the restaurant, which was super convenient. Such a welcoming place with great food and even better service. Definitely coming back!

As a Filipino who has family that makes restaurant quality food, he is picky with his food but he said the flavors here are pretty close to how his family cooks it. I am always on the hunt for good kare kare and I saw they serve it so I was already super excited to go. We arrived around 1ish pm and we were able to find parking and enter inside where we saw three tables occupied with happy customers enjoying their meals. They have small tables and large tables, but definitely plan ahead as most of these tables seat 2-4 people. They have a section at the left end of the order area where you drop off dirty dishes in bins as well as a condiments section. They were playing some American pop songs that were remixed but it fit the vibe of the place. Additionally, they do have a grocery side which I definitely want to check out next time I'm there. We were greeted warmly by the owner who was cheerful and patient with us. My boyfriend got their longganisa and lumpia and he was asked if he wanted adobo sauce on his rice which I thought was neat! Now, here is where my complaints from as I was not offered the same treatment on my rice, told that they aren't serving kare kare, they don't have labels for the food at front, and some of the food was cold. I got the pork sinigang and dinakdakan which was pretty good and flavorful. They do have pastries, desserts and other offerings as well. It seemed like there are many regulars who come often as the owner would recognize and have friendly conversations with them. He also bid us farewell when we left while he was taking a quick lunch break, and I thought that was really sweet.

This place is located in a plaza of other restaurants and businesses. Parking was plentiful outside. There were many tables to choose from inside, and it wasn't busy at all when we arrived. We ended up ordering both Inihaw Plates, one with Beef BBQ Ribs and the other one with Chicken BBQ. The plates came with our meat of choice, mac salad, a little salad, and two scoops of rice. I wasn't expecting much but I was wowed when they brought our food out. Presentation was gorgeous. Our ribs and chicken looked pretty good, saucy and plentiful altogether as an entree. When I had that first bite of the Beef BBQ Rib, I was floored. I'm pretty sure I took one bite and was just speechless, I'm not trying to exaggerate. The beef ribs were flavorful, juicy, tender, and fell right off the bone. I couldn't ask for anything more. The mac salad was good, it didn't taste like the mayo was too heavy for me. It tasted nice and light. And I had a couple bites of the Chicken BBQ, it was just as delicious as the beef ribs. Also the portion size was amazing. I think I'm a little partial, but the Beef BBQ Ribs definitely altered my brain chemistry. They were that delicious and I'll be thinking about these ribs for a long time. It felt like I was back home at a Filipino barbecue or I was in Hawaii eating at an uncle's backyard. It truly felt like the meat was grilling out in the back and we ate it fresh out the grill. It was absolutely wonderful and I'll be raving about this place to people for a while. Y'all deserve all the stars and love. And the music playing? Parking is challenging in the street, two hour parking if you find it. We shopped and parked at the market parking lot across the street, good for one hour. We arrived a little after 5:30pm. It's a counter service family restaurant. It's about the unique food. They even have signs requesting customers clean their table. It wasn't too busy, only a couple other dinners. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. We ordered two Chicken Adobo, one Chicken Tinga and one Tofu Inihaw. The Chicken Adobo is my favorite dish and a main stay, boneless chicken thighs prepared in a mild soy sauce, garlic and pepper marinate. The Chicken Tinga is a special soup that is only available periodically, an adobo seasoned soup, mild yet deep flavor. The Tofu Inihaw is a BBQ prepared fried tofu, sweet and savory flavors. Each plate is served with two scoops of white rice and a side of rice noodle salad. We also ordered a couple of milk tea that were delicious. We paid, were provided our milk teas, gather our silver ware, waters and grabbed a table. Our food was delivered to our table about 10 minutes later. Everything had fresh and deep flavors, mild and not overwhelming. Highly recommended for a unique culinary experience!
