Stopped in here after a ride across the bridge to Marin and back. I ordered a steak burrito and it was great!! There are other meats you can choose but the steak was awesome. I also ordered chips and guacamole. For me the crispiness of the chips is critical. Their chips were outstanding. Very crispy and tasty!! Rode my bike past here a few times. The next time I ride by I'll be sure to get something to eat. The place is small with no indoor seating but there are some tables out front. The food came out quickly as well. I found this tiny little hole in the wall place through Yelp. By far, the best street tacos I've ever had! I had carnitas, lengua, and pastor tacos. They were tender, flavorful, and I ate all 4! My friends had the taco Salad and it was huge! Full of black beans, tomatoes, lettuce, chicken, cheese and came with a delicious ranch flavored crema that was phenomenal. 30 minutes for two tacos. No warning and no notice on how long it'll take. The cashier said that they forgot my order. I understand there were phone orders and two orders ahead of me but it was terribly handled. I was first cut in line by a loud, inconsiderate person that paid in coins and the folks I was standing behind in what I thought was the line, didn't tell me that they weren't waiting to order. We love the burritos from this place but they have a really strange policy on their salsa (which is delicious). They have a hard and fast rule where they will only give you two thumb-sized containers of salsa per order. This is regardless of whether your order contains one burrito or 5. Good carnitas and lengue tacos. I had the tongue which is braised with spices and different from other taquerias because it's much more flavorful. Tongue tacos are 3 each and carnitas about 2. Carnitas was very greasy but flavorful. The tortillas are a bit hard and not tender the way I like it. Basically it's a taco truck without wheels so it's best to go. This place is so overrated. We tried the steak, pastor, and shrimp tacos. The tacos are OK, nothing amazing. The shrimp tacos at $4 is twice as expensive, which would be fine if they give you lots of shrimp, but for 2 pieces of shrimp it was a rip-off. The chips are extra for $1. We order two and then found out salsa was also extra and we had to pay another $2 for a small cup which was not enough for the two order of chips. I ordered the steak nachos (pretty simple) and I was underwhelmed. There was a slight flavor in the meat, but not as much as I'm use to. The lady (lowkey stand-offish) grabbed a plate and scooped a bunch of chips onto it. Amazing! Traveling on business and staying in PT Richmond, I decided to get a local bite. Found Maya Taqueria and I'm glad I did. I got the famous squash burrito and a chicken taco. The taco was delicious, but WOW, when I took the first bite of the butternut squash burrito their was an explosion of flavor that I had not expected. Cute little taqueria in Richmond. We were trying out some burritos after our gym sesh and our trainer recommended this. The prices are pretty cheap for bay, less than $10 for burrito. Seating is pretty limited. There were only a few tables outside which were occupied by others. So we stood next to the door. The workers walked out and gave us our drinks first, then our foods. I had the carne asada burrito and the others had the pork asado burritos. They provided two types of sauces, a green one and another one thats red/orange and a little spicier than the green. We also tried the watermelon fresca. Service was friendly and total came out to $44. Pretty affordable meal for 3 people. The burritos were a good size - I was able to eat only 2/3 of it. This is a very small place. I strongly recommend taking your food to go. They do have little tables outside (3 or 4) but it is very windy in that area. It only made my food cold superfast. Their customer service is not great at all. As soon as we walked in to place our order, we can tell that the cashier was not having a good day. Great little spot if you're looking for authentic tasting tacos! We tried a few things off the menu for our first time here. We ordered both the Crispy Taco and Regular Tacos with Carne Asada (Steak) and Al Pastor (Pork), Carne Asada Nachos, and a Carne Asada Burrito. The Carne Asada Crispy Taco was my favorite, even though it was a little difficult to eat without it breaking apart. The Carne Asada had such a great flavor to it. The meat tasted fresh and wasn't chewy like some other places. The Al Pastor was good but not the best that I've had. The Regular Tacos came with two corn tortillas that were fresh and did not fall apart as I ate it, which I do appreciate. We got Nachos for the table to share and it was a little difficult to eat. The cheese that is used, hardened into one large lump which made it difficult to pull the nachos apart. There wasn't a ton of Carne Asada either, but mostly beans. It wasn't bad but I probably would pass next time. I didn't personally try the burrito but it looked good and was a decently sized burrito. I discovered this gold mine due to my food being thrown away at work. My boss ended up buying me three salmon Tacos. When I tell you in that moment I was hooked, I inhaled those tacos in 2.5 seconds. The salmon was seasoned to perfection, juicy and so flavorful. I could have just eaten the fish and shell without the toppings. Even the tortilla chips were addicting. Great tacos!! Location: I've seen many bad reviews that this place is small and does not space enough room to dine in. The point of this spot is to grab and go and they make it very clear so I can honestly say I'm not mad about it, not every place you go will be for dining in! I will say they have very nice chairs/tables for outside dining. Food: Meats are always flavorful and cooked nicely. I like the spices they use and also the fresh pineapples they use with their al pastor. By far my favorite on the menu is the al pastor tacos and the steak nachos. Point Richmond is a small town and the food spots around here can be very pricey so I like the convenience this place offers - the price is between $2.50- $15 and the service is fast and friendly! The chicken was a bit dry and the plate overall lacked any wow factor, but I would definitely come back to try out the tacos which seem to be a popular item. The tacos and everything is GREAT. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone and introduce it as top 3 best taquerias here in the area. Prices are perfect. The adults working there are perfectly understanding and provide excellent service. The only thing that has never been fixed since visiting this place for about the 10th time is that cashier girl's attitude. It has affected my order recently in various ways that have altered my perception of this place's service and if they want us there. Perhaps she is young. But I can tell the other employees are very/too patience with her. But for a 5th yelp review star, I would fix that. Snatching salsas, not wanting to grab us drinks, low energy, obviously doesn't want to be there. Seating: Don't come to this area if you're coming in a group that might want pizza.
