I went there today to pick up an order I placed through Uber Eats. Usually, when you pick up an Uber Eats order yourself, they don't require a verification code. However, when I went to the front and gave my name to the cashier, she asked if I had proof of the order. I told her no, as I had ordered on my computer and didn't have a code. She insisted she needed verification. My phone wasn't working at the moment, which I don't blame her for, but the way she handled the situation was incredibly frustrating. I waited 20 minutes before I actually got my food. The cashier stood there talking on her phone, claiming she needed to ask her manager, but she never actually did. I didn't hear her explain the situation or ask anyone for help. Instead, she just stayed on her phone and eventually slid the food over to me. There was no apology for the wait, no "here you go," and no "have a nice day." She just slid it over with a smile while still chatting on her phone. It felt like she was purposely inconveniencing me. As soon as I mentioned that I had my ID to prove who I was, it was suddenly no issue, and she handed it over without ever checking with a manager. Very disappointing experience. While the food itself still tastes good, it is simply no longer worth the money or the poor treatment. I never expected over the top, bubbly customer service, the staff that used to work here would just get the job done without the fake enthusiasm, and that was perfectly fine. But there is a massive difference between a worker just trying to get through their shift and one who actively goes out of their way to keep you waiting while talking on the phone. Between the disrespectful service and the shrinking portions, this place just isn't what it used to be.

A few months later, I picked up my order and brought it home. As I removed the platter from the bag, I found a dead roach inside the bag. I immediately called the restaurant to request a refund. The employee said she needed manager approval. When the manager called, he initially offered a replacement platter, which I declined due to how off-putting the situation was. He then agreed to issue a refund and said it would appear the next day. Unfortunately, the refund never came. While I previously enjoyed the food here, the repeated and evident roach issue, combined with the unfulfilled refund, leaves me no choice but to not return.

There are 6 tables inside and two outside for done in seating 24-30. It is a bit cozy inside. They offer Shawarma in both beef and chicken and either "loose" or wrapped in pita with some vegetables. There are combos that add fries and sodas. I got the Beef jumbo combo for $17. The shawarma wrap is cut in half and is about 7-8 inches long if not cut. The fries are fresh and hot. They give you 2 tablespoons worth of white garlic sauce which is nice. I used it for both the wrap and fries. They only have sodas from a company called Matrix. Apparently,it is an Iraqi company located in Jordan. I tried the "blue" one since it appeared to be the default. It tasted like a standard Coke but with 20 percent lime flavor added to the formula. I liked it but your mileage may vary. The soda is 8 oz not 12 oz like here. There are also some pickled vegetables included. The wrap itself is very tightly wrapped and stable unlike the very delicate Chipotle burritos which threaten to bisect themselves at a moments notice. The beef is fresh and spiced though not spicy. The pita is crispy which is different from other places in Tampa which is nice. I would recommend dining in if possible. There is plenty of parking and it is open Sundays. It is closed Mondays. It is not a quiet place with many kids running around so keep that in mind. I'm not a super shawarma expert but ths is one of the better establishments in Tampa and is a good value for the money.

My bowl did end up getting a small hole in the bottom of it during the cooking process, but that may have been a user error on my part though, & the young lady working gave me another bowl to put everything after it finished cooking. We did notice they had some of those ice creams that went viral online a little while back so we each got one, I got the peach ice cream & my daughter got the fried chicken ice cream. We both enjoyed them, I loved how realistic the ice creams looked & the peach ice cream was so tasty, the outside part of it felt like I was biting into an actual peach. My daughter liked that there was a chocolate covered pretzel in the middle of the fried chicken ice cream that was the "bone".
