I'm an extremely picky eater and I'm not very big on restaurants and stuff but this place is so f-ing good the owner was so sweet and it had this homey vibe to it I'm honestly so surprised there isn't more people here this place deserves the attention!!!! Overall loved it

This is new restaurant replace old Thai restaurant. I think the new restaurant did a better job than the old restaurant. The restaurant has good number of seat. Food comes out at average restaurant speed. I got the crab fried rice with spicy hot. Not Thai hot. There are plenty of crab meat in it. I recommend this dish. My friend got the tiger tear steak salad. This is good dish but it has a lot of tendon. Very difficult to chew. May be they do need to pay attention to their steak quality. I enjoy my time here. Flavor is there. Good service. Food may need to be a bit faster for lunch.

I came to Bangkok Thai hoping to get some good Thai food and was surprised that it was now Maya Thai. Apparently the owners of Bangkok retired and sold the restaurant to Maya Thai. Maya is a newish chain that exists in Orlando and Miami for the last 1.5 years. It is owned by Indian/Pakistani folks now and has many desi employees. The interior is slightly changed with some tables rearranged and some different floral decorations. Thankfully, the menu is mostly the same. There are a few different items in appetizer section. The biggest change is that it is a Halal restaurant now. There are no pork options for protein and alcoholic drinks are not available. I ordered red curry with chicken at hot. It was very close to Bangkok's preparation and just as flavorful. 8/10 The service was good. The manager was going around and talking to customers which was nice. The only real negative was that the prices have increased. Most chicken dishes are now $19 -,up from $16 from November 2025 when I last went. Still, the hours are mostly unchanged and they are still open on Sundays with the menu mostly intact it is still a great Thai restaurant in North Tampa.

We had heard a lot of great things about Maya Thai, so we were excited to try it. Beautiful atmosphere and the food smelled so good. Our server was polite and helpful. I ordered the Mongolian Beef and my husband ordered the Shrimp with mixed vegetables. The food came out hot and fresh and the portions were generous. The food was so good that we could hardly stop eating, after we were full. This is the only Halal Thai restaurant in the area and it is wonderful and accommodating. They even have a small prayer room, for those who wish to pray. We will definitely be back soon!

The food and ambience was great. I got the Tom Yum Seafood soup and Maya fried rice. The service was slow and the waiters did not have a sense of urgency. The food took about 15 mins+ to get there even though they were not busy, which is late compared to some Thai places I've been to. Usually, restaurants always offer water but it was not offered here. Their Thai Tea was also not the best. I would not recommend going if you are in a rush.

Enjoyed dinner tonight--chicken satay, fresh summer rolls, pad see ew, and crab fried rice!

Enjoyable experience! The papaya salad was flavorful but the thai hot spice was not spicy. Chicken pad Thai was solid with a large portion and would get it again. The panang curry was the best dish and had a stronger spice level. Overall, there was attentive service and I would come back.

Food was phenomenal, Traditional and delicious. Fresh made, fresh vegetables, large portions. The wait was somewhat long on a Saturday night... but WELL WORTH THE WAIT. Staff is all super friendly!

Chuy's has officially become part of our Silver Springs tradition. Whenever we're heading back…read morehome to Tampa after spending the day floating down the river in Ocala, if we're coming this way, we get excited knowing we can stop at Chuy's for some food and drinks before finishing the drive home. Yes, Chuy's is a chain, but if you're thinking typical chain-restaurant Tex-Mex, I personally think it's much better than that. I almost ALWAYS order the King's Memorial combo because for around $18, the amount of food you get is ridiculous--in the best way. You get a crispy taco, three enchiladas (cheese, beef AND chicken), Mexican rice and refried beans, plus crispy chips underneath the taco covered in that creamy queso. It hits the spot every single time, and I ALWAYS have leftovers. Little piece of advice: EAT THE TACO FIRST. Crispy tacos deserve to be enjoyed fresh and crunchy. They are not tomorrow's problem. My friend usually gets one of the burrito combos, which comes with a HUGE burrito, Mexican rice and black beans. She loves hers and usually ends up taking leftovers home too. I've also sampled enough food from other people's plates over the years to say I haven't really found anything here that I dislike. The fajitas are delicious, the margaritas are decent, and the prices are reasonable for the portions. Now let's talk about those complimentary chips and dips. We call the creamy one the "crack sauce." If you know, YOU KNOW. It comes out with the chips and salsa, and we literally have to make ourselves stop eating the chips because we want to save some of that creamy sauce for our actual meals. On our most recent visit, we sat on the bar side and had Ian taking care of us. He was friendly, respectful, quick with everything and checked in to make sure we were good. He even brought us some extra dipping sauce, which absolutely earned him bonus points with us. His name also happened to stick with me for a personal reason, so I definitely wanted to make sure he got his shout-out. The restaurant itself is super cute inside, and although we usually gravitate toward the bar side, the entire place has a fun atmosphere. Our service over multiple visits has consistently been good--20%-tip-worthy good--and the staff is usually pleasant and helpful. There are A LOT of restaurants to choose from in this area, especially if you're already over here shopping, so I know picking somewhere can get overwhelming. But if you like Tex-Mex and you've driven past Chuy's thinking, "Hmm... I wonder if that place is any good?" I definitely recommend stopping in at least once. If you hate it, I'm sorry. If you love it... you're welcome. We'll absolutely be back the next time our Silver Springs adventures bring us through Lutz!
