My favorite place for a healthy and quick service meal. I personally love the honey chicken with their rice, cauliflower, and/or the salad on the side. The garlic sauce is fabulous! Great place and very consistent. Also, easy to find parking

We had a wonderful experience at Maya's Modern Casa Linda. We sat out on the patio with our dog, which was such a nice touch and made us feel very welcome. The food was absolutely delicious, and the wine on tap was a great surprise--fresh and perfectly paired with our meal. Service was quick, attentive, and friendly. Linda made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. We'll definitely be back!

Super delicious for lunch or a nice dinner. The cashier was super nice and she helped by suggesting some of her favorites with a killer combination sauce for the salmon. The food was fresh and very great quality for the price. The spices were spot on with not too much salt or oil. The staff was friendly, quick and clean. They do have wifi and they also have homemade lemonade which is yummy. The hummus and all the sides were really good. The portions are also great for the price.

Salad - I don't see the item I ordered in the list, but it's a salad. Simple, right? Plus salmon.

Solid eatery for lunch. Good selection of drinks, good food, and good seating. I'll come again. I had not been to this nook of the Dallas area before and this is tucked away in a storefront with shared parking, as most places are. I'd say be careful not to park in the next door business's "to go" spot, because I did, and then felt bad later. But the food was good at Maya's, so I felt better. Ha. What you'll see is a salad with salmon added, and a beer (Velvet Antler).

Went in for dinner but this is what i got!!! Guy didnt even say that they dont do dine in! At least have the decently to tell the customer that no dine in just take out. We call that courtesy Oh Merrick #millenials Russel, that's exactly the point! Had this had been explained when we stepped in, then this review had not been written.

Food and service was great! We also got the harissa chicken soup, which was delicious. I would skip the broccoli slaw next time. Try the lemon garlic (toum) sauce!

Let me save you some time, money, and sheer humiliation: DO NOT eat at or cater from Maya's Modern Mediterranean. Ever. This place is an absolute travesty, and I'm convinced the owner, Russell, must live in an alternate reality where burnt, inedible garbage qualifies as "Mediterranean food." I hired them to cater my wife's baby shower, and what they delivered wasn't just bad--it was a complete culinary catastrophe. Russell assured me that I "wouldn't be disappointed." Not only was I disappointed, but I'm actively disgusted--and every single one of our guests were, too. Imagine having people at the baby shower whispering that the food is the worst Mediterranean food they've ever eaten. Yeah, that's the level of embarrassment we're talking about. Let's get to the specifics because the devil is in the disgusting details. The portion sizes? Way off. We ordered enough to feed our guest list, and what we received wouldn't have satisfied a pack of feral cats. And the beef kabobs? I wouldn't even serve them to my dog. They were overcooked, burnt to a crisp, and straight-up looked like dog shit. No exaggeration--just charred, shriveled lumps of misery that somehow managed to taste even worse than they looked. It was almost impressive how they managed to ruin something as simple as kabobs. Now, onto the professionalism--or rather, lack thereof. After the disaster, I confronted Russell, who at least pretended to take responsibility. We agreed on a refund amount, and he told me he'd mail a check. Guess what? Weeks later, no check. No response. Russell has completely ghosted me, proving just how unprofessional and shady this establishment truly is. This isn't just bad food--it's an outright scam. Russell and Maya's Modern Mediterranean ruined what should have been a beautiful, joyful day, and I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone. If you value your money, your time, and your dignity, stay far, far away from this place. It's not just bad--it's offensive.

10 out of 10 if I were able to score this place. Iraq vet whom hates public places or crowds ; but love mediterranean food. The ambience to which was given was completely positive; as if it were straight out of a 1990s cookbook of welcoming warmth! The food is beyond imaginable. The salmon was so on point I literally cannot go anywhere else and expect better in the area. Their sauces are so fire I literally have to call my friends that live in the area JUST TO tell them to bring their families here. You will definitely have a smile on your face; before , during, and after your exchange at this restaurant. The falafel here is actually moist as can be; not any bit dry and WOWW Do they KNOW how to properly prepare REAL hummus. . This food made us feel GOOD About our bodies that we're taking time before the 80 mile hike back home into North Texas to go on a stroll in the park near by with our baby boy!

I've been to Maya's Modern Mediterranean at least two more times since my first visit, and unfortunately, I have to knock down my rating one star. The restaurant seems to be a bit inconsistent, which I feel comfortable saying because I've ordered the same exact meal each time. Each visit, the air-fried falafel is either a bit over-cooked and dry or like my latest visit, it was undercooked and chewy. The roasted cauliflower was a bit on the greasy side during my last visit too. This all being said, the restaurant is clean and the staff are friendly.

Yum! I'm sad it took me so long to try this place. Everything was so fresh and the portions were a great size. Highly recommend the honey chicken kabobs. I think the hummus was a little over hyped, but would get it again.

Let me start by saying that the aesthetic of this place is so light and clean! The food is great! The people are so sweet and it is located in a great place! If you are in the area and plan on having some lunch or dinner this is a great little "To-go" or "dine in" spot for smaller crowds. The food is very light and not over seasoned. It is a healthy palette and I love it! I'll definitely be going back to try more dishes! Ok now bye bye then!

There are restaurants you go to for the food. There are restaurants you go to for the atmosphere…read more And then there is Kostas Cafe on Greenville Avenue, a small white building with green trim that has been serving authentic Greek food in Dallas since 1987, where I go for both of those things and also for Jimmy, who is a force of nature disguised as a waiter and the single greatest conversationalist I have encountered on either side of the Canadian border. Let me tell you about Jimmy. Jimmy grew up in Canada playing hockey. Not watching hockey. Playing hockey. The kind of hockey that starts at five in the morning on an outdoor rink in temperatures that would make a reasonable person reconsider their life choices entirely. The kind of hockey where you tape your own stick and argue about offsides in a parking lot and develop opinions about skating techniques that you will still be sharing loudly thirty years later in a Greek restaurant in Dallas, Texas, to a customer who grew up in Chicago and knows enough about hockey to keep the conversation going for approximately forty five minutes longer than either of you planned. Jimmy loves to talk. I want to be extremely clear that this is not a criticism. It is a statement of fact delivered with profound admiration. Jimmy will arrive at your table with the energy of a man who has been waiting specifically for you to show up so he can tell you several things he has been thinking about. He will ask what you want. You will begin to tell him. He will hear the first part of your order, be reminded of something, and begin a story. The story will be excellent. You will forget you were ordering. Jimmy will also forget you were ordering. This is fine. This is the Kostas experience. You are not here to rush. You are here to sit in a room with Greek music and photos of Greece on the walls and let Jimmy talk to you about the neutral zone trap while somewhere in the kitchen the spanakopita is getting ready to change your life. At some point Jimmy will return to the table with food. It will not be entirely what you ordered. It will be more than what you ordered. Extra sides will arrive that you did not ask for and cannot explain and do not want to question because questioning the extra sides feels ungrateful and also because they are delicious and you are going to eat all of them without hesitation or remorse. Did I order the extra tzatziki. I did not. Is it sitting in front of me right now. It is. Am I going to address this. I am not. Kostas Ioannidis came to Dallas from Greece in 1976, worked his way through Dallas kitchens for over a decade, and opened this place in January 1987 with almost nobody showing up on day one and the kind of quiet stubbornness that turns into a thirty seven year institution on Greenville Avenue. The recipes come from Northern Greece, from the kind of family kitchen that does not write things down because why would you write it down, you just know, you have always known, your mother knew, her mother knew, and now the entire Upper Greenville area knows too and has known since before I was born. The saganaki arrives on fire. Cheese. On fire. At your table. Presented to you like a gift from a civilization that understood long before anyone else that the correct thing to do with cheese is ignite it in public and let people watch. I have seen this happen at Kostas multiple times and I still make the same face every time which is the face of a person who cannot believe this is allowed and is extremely grateful that it is. At some point during my last visit Jimmy circled back to a story about a playoff game he played in that involved a broken stick, a disputed goal, and a referee decision he has clearly not made peace with, and I want you to know we were forty minutes into dinner and I had eaten approximately everything on the table including the tzatziki I did not order and I was fully content to sit there for another forty minutes and hear how it ended. It ended badly for Jimmy's team. The referee was wrong. We are in agreement on this.
