    Cockroach in table

Well... I had ordered from here the other day. It was good. I went in tonight to pickup a pizza and there were roaches crawling on the tables and floor.

This is our leftovers since I was too busy to take pictures at the party, but Pepperoni pizza and barbecue wings

We got Mayback's catering for my daughter's birthday party and we were pretty happy!! They have amazing prices. We got a deal of 3 sheet pizzas, 50 wings, and a full antipasto tray for only $160 dollars. We got it delivered and the delivery was mostly on time, so I was happy since it was for a child's birthday. There was so much food and we had so much leftover! Everything was just as ordered, and the antipasto had so many different veggies, which I was impressed by. I have had better pizza, which is the sole reason for 4 instead of 5 stars. It was still delicious, just a little less delicious than our usual pizza haunts! But definitely keep them in mind if you need catering for a party!

    My "hot sausage sub".

First time back in NY in 20 years. Seen local sandwich shop. Yes! Yummy NY subs. Got the sausage and pepper Sub. I was expecting a big bun with a giant sausage link covered in cheese and sauce . Got a subway sandwich with sliced..yes slices of sausage. No sauce. No yummy good cheese to burn your face. It tasted ok. Not great. Was the only one in the place and took about 20 mins to get sandwich. Not a huge amount of time but basically could have got the same thing from firehouse or Jimmy John's.

Mayback I'm amazed at the way you feed me all the time. Mayback I'm amazed at the way these slices fill you. Hey. I just went here. And this is crazy. But here's my review. So call them, Mayback? I enjoyed this slice a lot, I liked it slightly better than the nearby Macy's Place (not a department store), but my pizza-companion liked the Macy's one a little better. Both were very solid 4/5 slices, but I'd have to try them again to see if it can go one better and become a 5. Certainly it was delicious. The pepperoni was perfect, the cheese was generous, it was a typical Buffalo slice, easy on the sauce, not too sweet, with very juicy greasy almost-burned but delicious crust. Buffalo is full of these little family-owned pizza places, you could literally eat at a different one every night for 3-4 months, I would imagine, and still not have to leave Western NY and never have to order from a chain. And if the Bills get their act together next year, then I Mayback them to make the play offs, but then again, I maynot.

Large cheese pizza. Thin, dry, cardboard-like crust, and flavorless sauce. :-(

We used to frequent the Mayback's on Niagara Falls Boulevard when we lived closer to it, and really enjoyed the food. We recently tried takeout from this Mayback's location, expecting a similar experience. But sadly, no, not even close. Actually, I'm not even sure if the two Mayback's are related now. We ordered a large pizza and 20 wings combo, a half cheese sub, and a falafel plate. We ordered for pickup using the DoorDash app, which was easy enough, and pickup was ready on time, with easy lot parking. But when we arrived, we were told they do not carry the falafel plate anymore. This was a downer for our vegan daughter, not sure why they don't remove it from their menu if they don't have it anymore. They replaced it with a chef salad. The salad was just basic and okay. The only food in our spread that was good was the chicken wings. My husband and son shared them, half hot and half garlic parm. They weren't huge wings, but meaty enough and cooked well. The pizza on the other hand, SO SAD! :-( Now this pizza came as part of a combo with 20 wings for $42. So we were expecting a decent quality Buffalo-style pizza for that $20+ dollar price tag. But no, it was cardboard crust, not doughy at all. It seemed like it was from frozen. Neither the crust nor the sauce had any noticeable flavor. The sauce tasted like something straight out of a can. If it was a bargain-basement ten dollar pie, fine. But way overpriced for this dud of a pizza. The half cheese sub was an overpriced fail, as well. For ten bucks, I was expecting a nicely stuffed sub. Toppings beyond lettuce, tomato, and onions are all 75-cents each additional, and I added banana peppers. But the toppings were moderate at best, even with that upcharge, and the roll was TINY! It wasn't a half sub roll, but like a steak sandwich mini-sub roll. And the sub itself wasn't a taste masterpiece, just okay and skimpy. Sadly we were mostly disappointed with our Mayback's pickup, and will not be returning anytime soon.

Good taste, very crispy but very small!

We went with the medium pizza, with one topping, small wings and an order of fries and two drinks. $25 not to bad all. Tasty food, pizza was good we looked the crust, the wings were really really small. Not sure if we would return with many other choices in the area for pizza and wings.

I was driving and saw this place, so I thought to try it. To my surprise it was quite good. As I walked in the place was quite clean and has a seating of about 20 people. The was room is locked and only for paying customer. The menu has a lot of options, I went with their specialty pizza option and got their Veggie Pizza to go. The pizza was very good and loaded with the topping they had mentioned ( green/ black olives, sweet peppers and mushrooms). The pizza was off the oven and fresh. The person at the till was very helpful and friendly.

After a long drive to have brunch somewhere on Elmwood, just to find the doors locked, I ventured…read moreover here to have lunch and it did not disappoint! First off, I was greeted and found staff friendly and efficient! You have plenty of options for seating .. dining area, front bar, back bar, even an outdoor patio bar. Although it is dive bar-esque, it was nice and clean (let's be honest .. some dives have a stench and stickiness that can definitely ruin your appetite, no matter how much you may love them). They have a set up for bands to play, as one was playing while I was there for their 2 year anniversary (congrats!). What was nice is although I could hear the band (it was playing in the back and I was up front), it wasn't over whelming me. I have eaten places where, no matter where you sit, it's extremely loud, and I appreciated that you had a choice here. Now onto the food: The food should have been doomed to fail; my tastebuds were prepared to eat sweet, buttery, syrupy French toast with a mocktail at brunch elsewhere. But wasn't hyped about the menu because of this (which is not dog and pony's fault .. I had to work and didn't have time to research where else brunch was available). I settled on the umami smashburger by a suggestion of my waitress. Now once again, could have been doomed to fail as I'm not a French fry person and my favorite cheeseburger is one I make on my own. BUT WOW their food blew me away and made me forget all about my brunch let-down. The French fries were fantastic and had a great seasoning on them! The smashburger was great to the last bite .. and I was NOT expecting to finish it as it was a really nice portion (I ate lunch now 10 hours ago and didn't need to eat again it was so filling!) but it was so dang gone good I sure finished it! Smoked cheddar .. chimichuri aioli ... kimchi bacon jam .. oh ya that bacon jam was EVERYTHING!! Thank you to the staff at Dog and Pony for making my long drive worth while!

I ordered the smash burger, my husband ordered the turkey sandwich. After we were waiting for our food for over 25 minutes, the server came over and said that he was just informed they don't have the turkey because they had an issue with that freezer. Ok, so my husband ordered the cheese steak because he was super excited for the bahn mi roll. My smash burger was alright, but the bread they use for their burgers remind me of those cheap buns you get from TOPS that just fall apart. The worst part was that they forgot the dog sauce on my burger, so I asked for the sauce, and THEY CHARGED ME FOR ASKING FOR SAUCE THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO ALREADY BE ON THE BURGER I ORDERED. My husband made sure to tell me after we already left because he knew I would have fought it and our already 1.5 hour long lunch date would have been longer waiting for the refund... He ordered the cheesesteak and the sandwich was so small, and the "bahn mi bun" wasn't even toasted which is a signature for bahn mi bread. He said the flavor was fine but nothing to rave about. The worst part, for me, were the French fries that came with both of our meals. They were soooo heavily peppered that they were inedible. We asked for ketchup to try to make them tolerable, and they gave us a pre-portioned small cup of ketchup... You serve french fries with most of your menu, why isn't there ketchup on the table?!? Overall, It was a nice place to have on senrca street which used to only have the blackthorn and franchescas, but I would not eat here again.

The minute we walked in-he was engaging and trying to fill our mouths with the delicious food that he prepares. This in itself is so special and satisfying. The shop is warm and inviting. It's simple, clean, and fresh. The meatballs were so delicious and flavorful, and the bread was fresh in the truest form of flavor. The salad was packed with so many different Italian combinations of garnish that it was a meal in itself! The rice balls were shared with a local bartender on the way home and they were a big hit! Again, the owner went above and beyond to fill our bags to the brim. The food was cooked from the freshest ingredients. He is also giving cooking lessons and will be implementing the "real Italian" pasta soon! Cannot recommend this establishment enough.

The consensus was a build-your-own culetto, which sounded right up my alley. The ordering process was easy, although there were a few differences between the restaurant's menu (found on Yelp/social media) and DoorDash (no wheat bread option and aged provolone was the only cheese available). One thing I appreciated: you could pile on multiple meats without an upcharge. Naturally, the dietitian side of me chose turkey. The food-lover side of me immediately regretted it. My work partner ordered the meatball version, and wow - those meatballs, the sauce, and that crusty bread were clearly the winning combination. The sandwiches were served in little soup cups to help hold what I can only describe as a "bread pocket." It was delightfully messy, involved a fair amount of crunching, and was absolutely worth it. The office also requested tiramisu, so I ordered a couple individual cups, along with a sfogliatella. If you've never had one, imagine the love child of a croissant and a pastry shell: dozens of delicate, flaky layers that shatter with every bite, surrounding a lightly sweet ricotta filling with hints of citrus and vanilla. It's crisp, creamy, buttery, and delicate. Overall, I'm grateful for this opportunity to something a little different. Next time, I'm skipping the sensible turkey and going straight for the meatballs.

I've been getting emails with specials from Jessie's, so I decided to stop in one day I didn't bring lunch. There was not much ready-to-eat food, so I grabbed a chicken salad with crasins from the cooler, which was pretty good on the go. Today I placed a mobile order for chicken cordon blue sandwich with fries, got a text when it was ready for pick up, about 20 minutes later. They use an app called Takeout Taxi that's similar to DoorDash, very convenient when you only have 30 minutes for lunch, but you can't order the specials on the app. You can call ahead too.
