We came here on a Monday for dinner. We didn't know that they did not serve dim sum during dinner, so we were disappointed at first. However, we ended up being very pleased with the food we ordered, so it actually worked out better! We ordered the potstickers and the Macau roast pork as appetizers. The roast pork was beautifully presented and it tasted as good as it looked! Crispy skin on the outside with tender, juicy meat (and fat). It was delicious. The pot stickers were also very good! The skin was thick (which I prefer) and the meat inside was flavorful and juicy. We ordered the Hot and Sour Seafood Soup. This might have been our favorite dish of the night. The soup was not too sour with the perfect amount of heat. The ingredients tasted fresh and they gave a good portion of seafood! Between the 3 of us, we cleaned the whole bowl. It was absolutely delicious! The Crispy Noodles with Chicken, BBQ Pork, and Seafood was good! The veggies, meat, and seafood all tasted good, but it was a little too liquid-y. The crispy noodles got soggy pretty fast. We prefer the noodles to hold a little bit of the crispiness. It was still very tasty though! Our last entree was the scallops with soft tofu and black bean sauce. We were STUFFED at this point, so we didn't eat too much of this. It was good though! The tofu was super soft and silky. Scallop also tasted fresh. Black bean sauce added a hint of saltiness. It was a very light dish, but we were just too full to eat a lot of it. Service was excellent! Cindy was our waitress and she kept checking up on us and making pleasant conversation. She was very attentive and was always on top of it, giving us refills of tea and taking away any plates we were done with. She made the experience very enjoyable. Came for dim sum with my friends. The place was very busy and we had to wait a little while. We ordered a mix of entrees and dim sum items, but my favorite dish was house special stir fried vermicelli. It was probably some of the best that I've ever had. I was there with some regulars so I can't really say for sure how the regular service is but we expedited great service. The food was good quality and they had a few vegetarian options. Rice rolls with veggies/mushrooms, rice rolls with fried dough stick, veggie potstickers, scallion pancakes, fried tofu, veggie goose plus the regular veggies and desserts. I would have appreciated if they had a couple vegetarian steamed dumplings though. We were on the second floor so no carts but it was nice and easy to order off the menu and then they brought all of the items to the table. The mirrored horse is an interesting foyer piece making the entrance fascinating, however the boxes piled up in the same area takes away from the welcoming feeling. We came here on chinese new year day with 16 people to celebrate. This has been our tradition for years and usually we love this place, but this time we were disappointed to say the least. The service was majorly lacking. We had 2 tables due to the quantity of people and they took our dim sum orders separately, but took orders for the main dish at the same time. This resulted in much confusion and one table lacking food for quite some time. In addition, they brought us other people's dishes, set them down and took them back after we had had them for a bit. We also ordered 2x 3lb fresh fish, but they didn't have this size and didn't let us know, but increased the size to more than double without asking. Not only were we charged for this, but the fish was bland since it was so large and no one enjoyed it. When we brought up this issue the waiter even blamed us saying that it was our fault for not ordering the fish 2 different ways though we weren't ever asked or offered an option. In addition the servers were not observant when we needed clean plates or more tea they needed prompting to refill. They also didn't treat us with much respect when we ordered. The food is usually good, the fish was a huge disappointment, but the dim sum was warm and classically standard. The lobster was good, seadoned well, but came out slightly cold. I do recommend the dim sum perhaps on a less busy day. The ambiance is classy and always nice. They have an epic glass horse in the front and the restaurant is clean. The restrooms are also quite nice and usually very well cleaned. The location is in a strip mall in dublin and parking is pretty decent though can be tight during rush hour. Covid precautions were lacking. The tables are close together and no vaccine cards were checked. Overall, nice restaurant, good chinese food, but on this occasion we had terrible service and a bad experience. The help is amazing we were upstairs it's just for large party's downstairs is for drop in dim sim I hear the wait is up to 45 minutes or more on the weekends no reservations below . Where we were us reservations only . There is about maybe 15 large tables we were at the biggest table in the room it sat 14 people comfortably it was one of the biggest table I ever eaten at anyway lots of food and don't know it I would come again on the weekends I am retired so I can come anytime 45 minutes a little much for me I don't care how good the food is . Parking isn't hard to find since it is a big lot unlike union city. We did arrive around 11ish so it may not be packed during that time. We got seated pretty quickly for a table of 3. It isn't your dim sum cart place which I kinda prefer because you know if you can get your food. The carts sometimes don't. The dim sum came out quick and steamy hot. The portions are a bit larger than normal dim sum places but they are a bit more pricy. A large dish is about $6.50. They also don't give you many hot sauces so you have to ask for about one dish per person if the people you go with like hot sauce too. Aside from the pricy dishes, this place is pretty good. I hosted a party here for my son's graduation. We ordered a combination of dim sum and dinner dishes. Har gow (shrimp dumpling) , siu mai ( pork and shrimp dumpling) , and scallion and shrimp dumplings were all solid! One of my guests said that it was the best dimsum they've had in years! We also had the pineapple BBQ buns. I don't believe other dimsum places has this dish. It's a baked BBQ pork bun but the top of the bun is like a pineapple bun. A bit sweet and savory. Definitely a big hit. For dishes we ordered beef chow fun, Singapore fried noodles, beef cubes in maggi sauce, Sampan shrimp, and salt pepper pork chop. Sampan shrimp was deliciously fried crispy with bits of garlic and other crunchy goodness. The service was also awesome. They changed out plates a couple of times and they served cake for us. Then the desserts (yes, plural, cause that is how we do) came. The fried milk was again something new for me. I really enjoyed it. But then again, I like sweets, milk, and almonds, so this was a no brainer. Had the mango pudding cause we had kids with us and of course they wanted some. I made sure to take a generous bite or 5 :) and finally the black jello. Mmm mmm mmm!!!! No, this place isn't cheap, but it also isn't outrageous either. We ordered a couple of dishes from their daily specials: the roasted chicken and honey beef short ribs. Both were absolutely delicious--flavorful and perfectly cooked. Can't believe I was first timer at this location and it's been right under my nose the whole time. I've tried other Mayflowers in the South Bay and they were all basic to me. For some reason this place was a bit better. Not sure why. I love my dim sum on Saturdays and this place was really busy but I didn't mind the wait. Only one reason I didn't like about this place. You have to order from their menu and select which items you want. Maybe I'm old school but even though I know what I like, I still want to see the carts rolling around. Came here for the first time with my mom. When they placed the hot mustard and chili sauce we were wondering where the soy sauce was. It didn't take too long to realize that soy sauce was not necessary. All the food that came had so much flavor. We hadn't had dim sum in a long time my mom just started ordering and I kept telling her to stop cuz we all know dim sum can be fully with just a few items. The shrimp dumpling which is my favorite since I was a child, is a staple for me to order. Well when that came it was so flavorful. Truth be told everything was so flavorful. The turnip, the soy noodles, the sprout tips veggie were my favorite items and the dumplings too. We also had the stuffed mushrooms, chicken feet, soft taro bao, seafood bean curd roll and the XLB all were good. I can't say enough good things about this place. I stumbled across this restaurant on Yelp and I am so glad I did. I got the House Special Crispy Noodles with Assorted Seafood, BBQ Pork, Chicken and Greens. The service was impeccable. I cannot remember-being treated so good while dining at a restaurant ever in my life. Not even at the so called high end expensive restaurants I have been to. The food was delivered quickly after I ordered and boy was it scrumptious. The serving size was large. I took leftovers home to eat later. It tasted so delicious. I had a lot of different kinds of perfectly prepared favorable meats and vegetables on my noodles. Each bite was delectable. The restaurant was very clean. They used a cloth tablecloth & especially nice plates and silverware. The employees were all dressed nice. The dim sum looked scrumptious but I didn't get any because I was eating by myself. Mayflower closed during Covid for extended time and was on a downhill track but now it reinvented itself : the food quality and ambience have both improved despite overwhelming popularity and crowdiness. I stopped for some Dim Sum at Mayflower Restaurant in Dublin. Mayflower is a couple of blocks away from Kaiser. The restaurant is beautiful, especially the giant horse! It was busy, but I got lucky and was seated right away. I ordered my two favorite dim sum items, siu mai and har gow. I also tried their delicious roasted duck and the beef rice noodle roll. I went to Dim Sum here with family and had a long wait, however the food was good. I'm glad we had the patience for it. 30-45 mins turned into 1 hour. You can call in to try to reserve a spot but we didn't. With that said, the Dim Sum was excellent. One of their best dishes is definitely the "Cheung fun" / "lok fun" - rice thin rolls with shrimp, beef, fish + cilantro, etc. I had those 3. The texture is smooth, thin, well made. The other unique item is the Fried Kabucha (pumpkin) with salted egg. They dust the salted egg as seasoning all over the fried Kabucha and tofu squares. Everything else was good or excellent. The mochi rice has lots of goodies well made but smaller portions than maybe other dim sum shops, but the ratio to "content" vs rice was excellent. Their Salted egg baked bun was also amazing, I think that is the must have one there. The bun has a sweet flaky crust, reminds you of the Tim Ho Wan pork bun sweet crusts. The gooey middle flows like a golden lava cake as you break into this delicious bun. The flavor is both sweet and a touch savory. The only thing I can think that has a similar contrast off top of head is something like American salted caramel, if one thing to try, def get that. The only thing I'd avoid ordering is the Turnip Cake that was below par when everything else was tasty. Highly rec, but prepare to spend a few bucks as it's not budget, then again it's the Bay Area. read more

Food is good here. The only gripe I have is their waiting system. For the amount of money this place makes, there should be a better waittime management instead of the old fashion way of taking a number and waiting for the number to be yelled outside.
