    Mongolian BBQ Bowl
    Diane P.

This place is Mongolian BBQ. We got seated right away. They give you a piece of paper and you checkbox the items you would like in your bowl. They have kids, small, and large bowls. They have many categories to choose from when building your own bowl. You can also pick already created bowls. I had the small bowl of goodness in the photo attached. The shrimp was abundant which is my favorite along with chicken, and beef. There are a few appetizers, wine, beer, bobo teas to choose from on the piece of paper you make your selections from. They refilled my soda at least three times. I have not been since it changed owners and my dining experience was perfect, but I do miss putting the items in my bowl that was half the fun!!

Stopped in for dinner first visit to MB grill. The food is okay. nothing exciting. The fried rice is underwhelming in my opinion, it's little wet like it cooked with too much water, it's has no taste to it. Aside the fried rice. The noodles and other toppings I had and the seasoning makes up, for it. The noodles are savory. I mixed the fried rices into the noodles, since the fried rice lacks flavoring and it's wet. Fried rice needs texture and little less water. The place is dead quiet, possibly 4or 5 family around. I was briefly seated, the wait staff brought my water that's the only interaction I had the wait staff through out the night. Service could been better. Other than bringing the food and water. After trying this place, I'm not sure if I want to try again.

5/16/25- My gym buddy recommended I try this spot- It's really been difficult to find a good Mongolian Bbq..but I found one now! A special review for me #1800th.. Wow! Service attentive- I like the ordering on paper- it was kind of fun! Only minus- Korean rib was very chewy.. All the sauces blended well .. Ordered the fried won tons- nice that there were six... lol.. Definitely coming back!

first time here lots of parking MB Grill could have done a lot better with all of the sauces added to the dish, still lacked flavor and the proteins were not marinated the steak was frozen and definitely not fresh, had a poor purple/pink/stale red color and was chewy every protein on the plate was mediocre smells good, but taste and quality was not there

I thought this place was pretty good! You build your own stir fry on a piece of paper and we had our meals within 5 minutes. We both ordered the large so we could have leftovers and both had plenty for a full meal the next day as well. It's a fairly big place and they seat you - you don't order at the counter. Only downside was I wish there was more flavor in the sauce but maybe I didn't order the right one. I'll try it again for sure though!

This place lets you make your own customized Mongolian bbq plate. The staff quickly gets you seated. You will get a sheet that allows you to make your own bowl. It's good because it has alot of options. They come over grab your sheet and come back with your food. It would be cool to see them cook it more in front of you but it's not a deal breaker. The food is good but sometimes I feel like double up on the sauces to get a little more flavor. It's a different spot from the normal food options. It's a good place but still on the hunt for a little more!

Nice stop in Spanish Springs. Service is prompt and polite, and there was plenty of seating. My short rib beef was kind of chewy but the plate itself was satisfying. Asian theme thruout, the place was well lit and comfortable. Im coming back. Check it out.

Hi underrated! I came to this place for the first time and was completely blown away. As you enter, it's an older restaurant nothing fancy, so your perception based on that you say the food should be ok. Ha! I was completely wrong, don't ever judge a book by its cover. This is hands down the best Mongolian food in Reno! There's other Mongolian restaurants (big chains) that's been in Reno for years, but they have absolutely nothing on this place. Staff are friendly, sufficient and attentive. The quality, the flavor and the portion size is amazing!!!!! I love that I can customize it to exactly what I want and not pick from already made meals with the sauces they choose. It's great! I will be a cover customer. The house sauce is

Food was DELICIOUS!!! We were greeted as soon as we walked in & our food came out less than 5 minutes. Very friendly staff, service was great. Definitely adding to our fave spots to eat here in Reno (:

DON'T LET THE BAD REVIEWS DISCOURAGE YOU! I came here for lunch for the first time and the waiter was amazing. He was super helpful and fast on the refills, also checked in multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed! His recommendations were also very on point! I ordered the beef short ribs and beef for my bowl with udon noodles with the waiters recommendation of the Korean and house sauces and it was delectable and a great portion size! The place was very clean and had an adorable patio!

We got the small bowls and were a lot of food. The appetizers were yummy. We will definitely be back for sure! The staff is super friendly!

Ask the Community - MB Grill

Do they have an AYCE (All You Can Eat) option as posted on some of the menu pictures? If so, what is the cost?

    They do not.

Do they let you tamp down your bowls here?

You don't make a bowl here. You select your proteins and veggies off of a list and they prepare the food for you. They are generous portions.

Does anyone know if they use MSG?

They don't used any MSG at all.

Could you please post a menu? I'm tired of going into a place blind, and having to be disappointed in the flavor, quality, or prices

I posted the "menu" in the pics . It is prices only. The selection of food is not posted.

This was my first time to Legends Bay Oyster & Sushi bar. We had some guests from the Bay Area and…read morethey wanted sushi. Since Legends was offering an all you can eat option and a buy two sushi rolls for $12.99, we decided to give Legends a try. Everyone had a couple of sushi rolls and I decided to sample different nigiri sushi so I can gauge the freshness and quality. Salmon, if not fresh (or as fresh as can be in Reno) can be oily and fishy. This wasn't it. It can tell it was previously frozen due to the texture. As fresh texture has more resistance when biting down vs previously frozen tends to be softer, less bounce when biting. But it was good or even better than some other local sushi offerings. Tako or boiled octopus, is almost never fresh caught / cooked at any restaurant other than Japan. Even in the Bay Area, Tako is usually bought cooked but not frozen. This is where it can affect the quality. If frozen, it can make the tako kind of stringy and mushy. When it's not frozen the tako is firm and slightly chewy. I can tell this tako travelled a little but it wasn't frozen. Unagi or grilled eel, is almost always purchased cooked by most restaurants other than what I've had in Japan. Similar to tako, it is usually shipped refrigerated but not frozen. All restaurants will serve unagi over rice with a drizzle of unagi sauce. The flesh should be tender and any bones will be super thin and not a problem to eat. There weren't any bones which is a plus. This unagi didn't appear to be previously frozen. We also has the edamame, which is tossed in garlic and salt with some oil. Very tasty on a simple dish. If cigarette smoke bothers you, there wasn't any in the restaurant but apparent everywhere in the casino, so plan ahead. The tables were about 30% capacity and even with that, the order to service gap was fairly long. Our server was pleasant and willing to explain how the player's card program worked. Would I come back for sushi here? Sure, but I better be hungry to get full value from the all you can eat.

I can't believe I haven't updated my review…read more Brought a friend here for dinner. There were three of us. My friend and I had the 6-oz Filet Mignon USDA. I got mine with caramelized onions, baked potato, and fresh veggies. We both got it medium rare. She got hers topped with Point Reyes Blue Cheese crumbles. Her daughter got Filet of Petrale Sole Meuniere. First came a basket of bread. But, two of us are gluten-free. The Waiter made a point to check with the kitchen on all our meals. The steak came out smelling like garlic. It looked so much better than the picture I posted. It was so tender it cut with a butter knife. The color of the steak inside was perfect medium rare. The flavor on the taste buds is what dreams are made of. Some meals we remember for a lifetime. Because every bite is just that scrumptious. I can still almost taste it by just thinking about it. For dessert, we got the classic Bananas Foster, which is made tableside. It is dinner and a show. Bananas Foster is such a decadent treat. The show begins with the melting of the butter, and the aroma will still your breath away. Then add in the brown and white sugars. Several alcohols are used. I believe they use Banana liquor as well as rum. Then a fire is lit in the pan. It sparks when the cinnamon is added. Then the bananas are cooked ever so lightly. Sometimes, too much liqueur is added, and the flavor is off. However, on this night, it was spot on. The sugars and liqueur create a caramel sauce for the bananas, and vanilla ice cream is added. The ice cream that was used tasted like a French Vanilla ice cream with little flecks of vanilla. Each bite was a walk on a cloud. My friends had never had Bananas Foster before. I think they will be back if only for the Bananas Foster. The bananas and caramel with a kiss a vanilla ice cream just send your taste buds to heaven. Each bite will have you desiring more, even if you are beyond full. Each bite is so divine. It tastes so decadent that your mind will be blown that it is bananas and vanilla ice cream. I can't remember the name of our waiter. He was such a delight and made sure we had a great time. This was a meal I will remember for a long time. Thank you to the staff at Duke's Steakhouse. I think some things changed in management, Kevin the waiter who has been there since it opened is no longer there and you could feel a different vibe going on in the restaurant. The happy hour menu has changed and my husband's favorite Chardonnay is no longer included, but Adrian bought him a lovely Cabernet Sauvignon Blanc which was very tasty for $8. The staff and restaurant were lovely as always, and you really can't beat the views from dining on the outdoor patio overlooking the Marina. If you have general hesitations when it comes to buffet food, you can put them at ease when at the Water Bar, as even the typical 'filler food' like salad and mashed potatoes were out-of-this-world good. I'm not kidding when I say their buffet-style Caesar Salad was better than any made-to-order Caesar I've had. Same goes for their garlicy mashed potatoes, they were heavenly! The poached prawns were prepared perfectly, and the snow crab legs and claws were delicious and easy to eat (if you're used to shelling your own crab). The soy-glazed salmon with wild rice was surprisingly flavorful and melted in my mouth. Even the mac & cheese was rich and creamy- I can't think of a single item I tried that was sub-par. I ended the meal with a slice of carrot cake that I kept thinking about long after I left. It was moist and well-spiced with a very decadent frosting, the perfect end to a delicious brunch. I will say, we weren't aware the cost per person for the buffet was $80 (it wasn't displayed on the buffet menu, our server didn't share this when telling us about the buffet, and we didn't ask). We have no regrets on opting for the brunch buffet, as again all the food was truly incredible. However, an $80 price tag will likely keep us from opting for the brunch buffet again in the future.

We shared an order of deep-fried Zucchini with dipping sauce. Most excellent. My friended ordered the Dungeness Crab Cakes and I got the Teriyaki Salmon Salad. Both were good. My salad was huge!
