This is my honest experience booking this company. Found them on Yelp w great reviews and decided I'll go for it. I got a quote that included 3 hours, 2 guys, 20' truck, gas and free mileage under 25 miles. My flat is 2 bedrooms and 14 miles away to my new place. Months before they came, EVERYTHING was packed in boxes/taped/labeled. Furniture disassembled and bundled. All they had to do was transfer into truck to the next place and unload. When they arrived 3 guys showed up. Before they entered I stated I was quoted for only 2 guys but there is 3 and 2 hours of work. They said No worry 3 hours for 2 bedroom, 3 men, No problem. At first they were moving fast. Then they slowed down and would have leisurely discussions in a different language as they worked SLOWLY. I told them I only have enough money for what they quoted me. I reminded them they said 3 hour was more than enough and they smiled saying YES No worry. Long story short it took them 4 hours even with all my things prepacked!! They took their sweet time on Purpose. I had to borrow money from a friend, leave my belongings with them unattended and withdraw more cash to pay for their "added" time. Some of my furniture was damaged with not even an apology. I even had prepared a small lunch for them during thier break. I truly felt swindled. Yes the customer service was friendly but to be stuck between a rock and a hard place to come up with more money unexpectedly was not good business practice saying one thing but doing another. . Reply: You are correct it was unacceptable and unfair for me to be placed in that situation. It is an Honest review of services that were received. As for the hours I was already so flustered by what had happened I could not remember any longer. My mistake corrected above but no matter what it was...My predicament did not change it was still Over the time agreed. Unfortunately, Yes, this IS the correct company. I didn't want to use movers because of bad experiences in the past, but two co-workers highly recommended MB movers. So I decided to give it a shot. Setup was easy. Through text message (you can text that number in the info section), I gave them my start and end destinations and size of house and I was given a quote. I was given a flat rate quote for 3 hours, and an hourly rate for additional hours. Compared to previous movers, this was way cheaper. And that price included the cost of blankets, shrink wrap, and tape (my last movers made me pay additional for every single roll of tape they used, and they used so many unnecessary rolls of tape!!!) Sebastian and Brayten (spelling?) showed up to my storage unit, very friendly and pleasant. I was ready to help lift boxes and furniture because I wanted to be under the 3 hour mark (I was pressed for time, and I didn't want to get into the hourly fees). They very kindly told me to sit back, relax, and reassured me that they will take care of everything. In about an hour they loaded my very full and not organized 10'x20' storage unit (3br home) into the moving truck. The drive to the new home, they were very careful over any bumps and dips. At the new home it was maybe another hour to unload everything. I asked that they just put everything in the living room just to be quick. They asked with the heavier boxes and furniture if I wanted them in specific rooms, so the heavier things went to their rooms. 2.5 hours total and they were done! On a hot summer day too!! Great experience from booking to move-in! They responded to my quote inquiry in a timely fashion, as well as my follow-up questions leading to my move. This includes check-ins with arrival times (note: they arrived within the communicated time!). Both movers (Sebastian & Junior) were great. Showed up with masks (worn correctly) and we did a quick walk-thru at both locations so they could strategize logistics to help create a smooth move. For two guys, they were both efficient and fast (note: nothing was broken or damaged). I'll put it this way, when we got to my new apartment, there was another moving truck with two movers (who were busy texting, and it looked like only one guy did any actual work and about the same amount of stuff, if not less than I had), anyhow, Sebastian & Junior not only figured out the smarter way to move me in, they were in and out before the other truck was at the halfway mark. Breyton and Sebastian could not have been better! They were scheduled to come at noon on the day of my move and texted me they were on their way and arrived almost to the minute! From there they worked quickly and carefully to load up my stuff (I had packed everything prior) as well as wrapped up my furniture and even reinforced a few boxes. They arrived quickly at the destination where I needed to fill up a storage pod. They worked carefully and spent the time to make sure they were strategic in placement since it wasn't the largest space. My wife and I moved from Woodland Hills to Burbank last week. We called MB Movers Co. and they were able to quickly schedule our move within hours. This was the first time that we hired movers, and I'll consider it again after my experience with this company. Overall assessment: Affordable prices, hard working movers, and great first time experience. I'll definitely call up MB Movers Co. when I do need another move. Movers: Sebastian, German, and Victor Start of move: They arrived in a Uhaul truck on time and were clear about their ETA via text. We connected with Sebastian and walked him through our apartment. He was able to "game plan" the overall framework of the move, in regards to timing and furniture assessment. This gave me the impression that they knew what they were doing. Materials: They came with everything needed for a successful move: a Uhaul truck, dollies, blankets, tools, and a safety wrapping that's used on furniture. I also noticed that they brought their personal safety attire for their own protection (I.e. back brace) Moving boxes: They loaded all boxes on three separate dollies first. The boxes were placed to the back of the Uhaul and the fragile boxes were either placed on the top of other boxes or walked over. We had over 20 boxes and they loaded them to the truck in about 30 minutes. Handling Care: The guys came with the materials needed for a successful move, as mentioned above. There were no boxes or furniture items that were "dinged" or "broken". They protected loose items with a special wrapping and blankets. I did think that this took a bit longer than expected, but I'd rather have my stuff protected during the move than not. Hustle/work ethic: Just wow. All three guys were hustling from the beginning of the move to the end. The stereotype, or even assumption, is that movers will find any chance to relax and eat of time. I did not get this impression and I noticed that they maintained a pretty good pace with moving our apartment. They worked as a team and had a routine set in place. Again, very impressive. New location arrival: This took less time since everything was organized and packaged in the Uhaul truck. It was the arrival where I felt our money was truly well spent (beside avoiding carrying all the heavy stuff). My wife and I were able to direct the guys to set boxes and furniture in a particular room. This provided a clean move for us, and MB Movers Co. helped ease the stress of a messing new apartment move in. Payment Transaction: The company requires that you pay in for at least 3 hours, in cash, and as of Dec. 2018, charge $90/hour for any extra hours needed. We just had to pay attention to the the large details (when did they start, how many hours will the move take, a target end time). We then provided a 15%+ tip, which I read was a norm. Sebastian told me that the tip is split amongst all three of them. A receipt was provided to me and it was clear what I owed them. I paid at the end of the move. Suggestions for future customers: 1. Have materials packed before the movers arrive. Having everything in boxes makes it easy for them to load on the dolly and onto the truck. I made the mistake of having a lot of loose items (bags, loose chairs, etc) and they took up more time. 2. Direct the movers as much as you can, which kindness and respect 3. Be clear about your start and goal end time. Sebastian will help you achieve this. 4. Have cash ready, and make sure to have extra cash for tip and in the case where you needed an extra hour. 5. Schedule your move at least a night before. read more

What a time to move! I was happy that Mark and his team could accommodate a move during these crazy times. I had used MB Movers a couple of years ago and thought I'd reach out to them again. I really appreciate the work put in from Sebastian and his team!! Overall it was a pretty smooth move. The Pros: The team wore masks and worked through a pretty warm day with a smile. Everything was well taken care of. Communication was great. They ran 30 minutes behind and kept us informed the entire time. They had the truck extremely well organized and were courteous throughout the move. The Cons: Part of the reason this received 4 stars instead of 5 is there were a few new scuffs to a couple pieces of furniture, very minor, and 2 small items didn't survive the move, including a very warped whiteboard, but again these are all small and inexpensive. The other part is that I feel like the move took longer than anticipated. I was originally quoted for 3 hours with 3 guys and $100 each hour it went over. While I knew in my mind it would take longer than that because our first apartment is such a crazy maze, I did not anticipate the move taking 7.5 hours. I was thinking 5-6 max. To put things in perspective, my last move was 2 locations (Pasadena and Los Feliz) moving into one location (Burbank) and we only had 2 individuals and it took 8.5 hours. I felt like while the movers were super kind, helpful, and awesome, I just think it could have been accomplished in a smaller time frame. All 3 guys usually went to the truck together instead of staggered trips (understandable with large items, but not as much with boxes) and I just thought with going for 3 movers instead of 2 this move that we could really shave down some time. Again, I realize we have a lot of items (2 bedroom apartment), and that our first location was a little crazy, but I just wanted to be honest with my comparison of the previous moving company I used. read more

I would suggest that you have an accurate estimate of your belongings size-wise. We did not pack very well however they made up for our poor packing with their awesome delivery. Unprofessional, rude, discourteous! Today, I contacted this company to schedule a move from my garage to a storage unit five miles away. The owner stated he had availability on Monday. I stated that Tuesday would be better. He stated he had an opening on Thursday. I then stated that I would take Monday. He asked for a list of items. I provided it. Then he said that he no longer had an opening. I then stated that I'd take Thursday. He said that they're "busy" this week and offered no date for next week. I stated that if he didn't want to do the move, then he should have just said so. Whatever! Fortunately, there are other movers around who appreciate business from new customers.
