This has to be the Worst McDonald's I ever been to usually it's fine even low quality but my "ice mocha" taste like sink water and I'm pretty sure the Pacific Islander lady still working right now doesn't know what she's doing. I asked her before I left this is an ice mocha and she shrugged and said yes it is. I paid 3.59 for sink water I would of just went across the street to jack in the box for ice coffee and get it done more correctly. Went to the drive thru of this McDonald's on Friday September 23rd at 6:25-ish am and whoever was doing the drive thru service was pretty rude. Now, I don't know what's going on in this person's life and this place is also open 24 hours, so her day could have started well before mine. Not an excuse (and should never be used as one), just a realization, or more so, an acknowledgment. First, we were waiting for around 5-ish minutes for someone to take our order which i was okay with. Stuff happens and I especially know this as someone who also works in the food service industry, but she didn't apologize for the wait or even thank me for waiting (which is something you should always do) and she was very short with her responses. I put in my order for one of the many items I was picking up and after the first one she said "okay, next window" not a, "anything else?" Or anything along those lines, which made me feel rushed and undervalued as a customer, and that was the continual experience throughout my time ordering. And then when we went to the window after ordering and she slammed the card reader down and walked away after I was trying to find my phone for Apple Pay. Fine, I should have been prepared, but you should always treat someone the way you want to be treated and I doubt she'd like it much if someone treated her this way. I see that the reviews for this place have tanked and I should note that the evening crew are absolutely incredible people and I've never had a bad experience with any of them. I also can't imagine working at any place that's open 24hours. I think it would be really hard on someone's moral which also makes me think that the stress could come from within. I obviously don't work there, but I don't see management replying to bad reviews or striving to make any changes. This location is at a 2.0 which is ridiculous for a food establishment. Quality is declining fast and no action seems to be taking place. There's a bigger issue here than a disgruntled food service worker. read more

Reviewing a McDonalds at Yelp is really taking a shot in the dark . I mean after all it is McDonalds - you've heard the stories , read about the history nothing good could come of a review right ? Well I suggest you read on. This store is closest to my job site and definitely one of my options when I want to get AWAY from my crew. It's the next block over so I hop in the company truck and shoot on over for a nice relaxing meal. I'm always met by a nice staff , with cheery faces and always ready to take my order. Even on some of their busy days the time from ordering to food in hand is about 3 minutes. Hell it takes 1 minute just to put ice and soda in my cup from the machine. Everything is well organized and I have all I need by the time my number is called. I have a seat within reasonable earshot of the TV. I can pay a little attention as I enjoy my Filet O' Fish combo. It's just the right size , cooked correctly and always spot on . The fries are typical Mc'Ds always in a class of their own and perfect. Today the 2 chocolate chip cookies were still a little warm even after I finished my meal. This particular location is in a more industrial section of town so may tend to be less crowded on weekends. It's just off the 101 at Bowers if you happen to be in the neighborhood and need to get your 'fix'. We've all been eating at Mcdonalds since we were kids , like it or not the food is good , and there's a lot of new options. **HEALTH ALERT** Caution eating at this McDonald's. We ordered pies and noticed there was no "best eaten by" timed stickers on the boxes. We still ate them as the pies were warm. BIG MISTAKE! They served us old stale pies and tried to hide the sell by time by removing the stickers on the box. You can tell where the stickers once were as you can feel the adhesive of where the once were placed. The downside is we both got sick. *2019 Update* Terrible, terrible, terrible. Pretty strong language for a McDonald's right? Let me explain. Ever since the McDonald's app went live, I've used it at this location a handful of times and so far it's only worked as it should maybe 50% of the time but not due to technical problems. Twice I've been brought out the wrong food (you would think the order would be checked with more care as it's being brought out, right?), twice the order didn't "transfer" causing me to go inside and place a new order, and once where the order completely never arrived at the store. I can forgive a mix-up or two in food items. As a former food service employee in my teens years, I can empathize with the fast-paced food service environment. But what makes me swear off this location is the very poor customer service. When I've presented the wrong items or problems with the order, the staff has consistently given the most unenthusiastic "meh" service with bare minimum effort to fix the problem. Mind you, I'm not going in swearing or causing a scene, I'm simply going in very politely with a "excuse me, there was a mistake with my order" which is greeted with looks as if I've messed up their food. read more

Ordered breakfast using the app. The app is so convenient. Curbside pick up is useless. Food is only prepared after you arrive. A vehicle drove up the same time I did and used the drive-thru. I went to the curbside pickup and entered my stall number and that's when my order was placed. I saw the same vehicle that went to the drive-thru leave and my order arrived 10 minutes later. I came here at 8:10am today (Sunday) and the woman taking orders at the drive-thru yelled "YES?" when I pulled up to the speaker. Her tone was very curt as I said my order. When I pulled up to the window, she didn't greet me or acknowledge me at all, just told me my total and glared at me as I swiped my card then gave me my food, no parting message at all. This woman had a ponytail and was wearing a grey sweater. As an essential worker myself I understand that working in the current circumstances is stressful but this employee lacks basic customer service and should not be interacting with customers if she is going to behave this way. We just went to McDonald's here in Santa Clara, ordered a number 7 2 cheeseburgers and limp fries that were cold, the cheeseburgers weren't even warm like they had just been cooked? Feels weird to give 4 stars to a MacDo, but considering the disastrous ones I have visited recently here in San Jose, this is a fine pearl! Clean, spacious, no weirdos, no crazy people around. Mostly professionals from the companies nearby and blue collar workers from the construction buildings around Augustine drive. You will have to wait, but at least the food comes hot and well built. Also I like the exterior with the tables with yellow umbrellas. Reminds me the typical American movies from the 50s or 60s and also reminds me of summer time (don't know why but is one of the few ones that give me this vibe). read more

Yup yup. This is the fanciest McD's I've been in (that includes the purportedly remodeled upscale one across from Serramonte Mall)! Chairs that look like a fancy living room sofa. Cushioned seats, tvs (that's where I found out those BART dummies called off their strike) and a neat piano display up front.
