A week later, Meaghan (the Office Manager) gets back to me to thank me for my patience as she was with family (hey, life happens, I understand) and gives me a more detailed quote. However, there is some confusion so I send back a question to clarify the quote. Once again, I receive a response a week later. I have long since made an appointment with another company but I just wanted to let others know that their response time is not the best. Their work might make up for it but I'll never know.

It was an installation which required constructing side panels of the A/C unit which would be secure and weather-proof. While not a difficult project, the work ended up being intricate and time-consuming. Nick worked efficiently and was meticulous about making sure the unit fit securely. We were very pleased with the quality of the installation. He even saw our church exterior door hinges were slightly loose and fixed those as well. Nick Gosser is very professional, responsive to customer inquiries on a timely basis, and works quickly and efficiently. He is detail-minded, an experienced handyman, takes pride in his work and is reasonably priced. It wasn't easy to find someone to come out and do this project because it's small and I had to contact 6 different handyman services. This outfit is despicable, deplorable & abusive beyond description. After asking them to write an…read moreestimate to do a simple gutter diversion job at arm's length, & telling them for the city to reimburse, they have to provide an Estimate with a total for labor & parts. Instead, they can't bother to figure out what 2 simple gutter pieces cost, & wanting to fill the holes w/hydraulic cement (insane), they just list a labor charge, & ask for 10% down, labor & material billed daily, & a credit card on file, I called them to speak to a total incompetent who then hands it over to Dick Hoerr, who called me a "social idiot", and a "moron", & that he'd never do a job for me. As if I would EVER consider a contractor who would call me filthy names & doesn't even know how to do the job. You don't pour 20-30 ft. of hydraulic cement in the holes - you cover the holes with rubber or aluminum & then coat that w/a small amount of hydraulic cement. Then, in his answer to one of the numerous negative reviews, he writes: "We are the highest rated handyman company on Angie's in the United States and we are located here in Chicago. I personally live in the Chicagoland Area. Simply put this is one of those landlords that attempts to beat down labor after they work on his home in an effort to maximize his profit. He says one thing in a review and then did the exact opposite." BEWARE and DON'T USE THEM!
