I really enjoyed the broth. I thought it was seasoned to perfection. The noodles tasted great, and I was very happy with the quantity. My bowl had more than enough to satisfy my hunger, which is rare. The dumplings were tasty; nice and juicy. To my surprise, the soup also contained some small pieces of black fungus, which I really enjoyed. The other vegetables were great. All in all, I'd highly recommend giving this restaurant a try. However, it was good! The noodles were too thin for my liking. There were about three small dumplings in the soup. They didn't taste like anything. I was pretty disappointed, so my family ordered shrimp and pork dumplings to eat with the soup. It was ok. It definitely filled me up, and there was more than enough! I got the skates bimbimguksoo, which isn't so bad. They definitely are big portions, so if you ask for extra, you better have a big enough stomach to fit all those noodles in you. The soup is on the thicker side. The spicy kalguksoo is pretty spicy as they add in chilis, so be wary of that. Even though kimchi is the only side dish, this is the best kimchi I've ever had. The food here wasn't too bad, but the prices were on the much higher end compared to other Korean places I eat at. The noodles were delicious and had a very nice chew to it. I would recommend asking for mustard which gives it a little more of a kick. There was nothing special about the pan fried dumplings and each one was quite small. I believe is was around $15 for the whole plate, but this is something that I can easily buy from a grocery store and make myself. I was really excited to discover that my favorite Ktown restaurant had a second location 10 mins from my house. The fact that I no longer have to brave the long drive to Wilshire Blvd is a hug plus. Talk about massive portions, this place leaves you full and wanting more. On certain dishes you can ask for more soup and noodles, but you cant ask for it specifically to go. My husband had a good experience here so I wanted to try so we came with our kids after church. We had the bib in nengmyun with extra noodles, kalgooksu for kids to share and pork & shrimp dumplings. The owner lady said we can't order extra noodles w party of 4 unless we order 4 items. She treated us as a transaction. So we ordered additional dumpling. I was unhappy about it but whatever. When we got our orders it was horrible the dumping skin was sticking to the pan bc it was overcooked and fell apart. Our nengmyun was overcooked and tasted like they didn't rinse w icy water and just tasted like batter instead of noodles. Although the flavor was good. Our kids were eating the kalgooksoo bc there was enough soup and noodle was overcooked. The kalgooksoo didn't taste good. It was very bland.
