My only complaint is the limited hours, but otherwise the food here is quite good, with many options. I had the Peking duck jianbing while my dad had the sausage one. I legit don't like this place but surprisingly my other half does (who is not Asian lol). He enjoys the Peking duck crepe with pork. I find the Peking duck crepe to be too oily and too messy for my liking. I've tried savory Chinese crepes when I used to live in brooklyn so I would just like to say the price is too high and the quality is just close to average. I live very close so I usually order for pick up but for had free delivery tonight and while the restaurant was listed as open, (online and on DoorDash), the delivery person said it was closed. read more

Came here for lunch not knowing what to expect other than they have some tasty fusion type crepes. The place is SMALL... like pretty darn small inside. Big enough to sit like 10 people total, maybe? I was so excited to try this place and got the peking duck deluxe crepe with a friend. it was gigantic. this is definitely not a light meal or snack. this is quick grab and go food that is heavy and will keep you full for basically the whole day. it was a bit too oily and heavy for me and overall just left me feeling bloated and tired . they did put in a lot of meat but it's also not cheap if you get duck plus all the veggies . Head about this place about two years ago, and it was super packed! The line was out the door, and orders were flying all over the place. Fast forward to the coronavirus, and the difference is like night and day. The line was non existent, the employees seem crestfallen and bored, and the energy that filled the place was gone. I ordered the Peking duck crepe, since it was the most popular, and decided to upgrade my crepe with egg. They began making my order but did not want to honor my yelp check in, which honestly left me kind of disgruntled. After spending $16+ on a crepe, I figure a soybean milk isn't too much to ask for... The crepe was piping hot when I received my meal, it was almost too hot to hold! I had a difficult time consuming it like a sandwich so I used my fork for the majority of the meal. The egg on the crepe made it taste like an omelette, which I kind of regret ordering. The duck was a bit tough, and not as tender as I imagined it to be. The cucumber was nice to help balance out the hoisin sauce, and there was way too much of it. Definitely ask them to go easy on the sauce and maybe keep some on the side. We actuallly went here for the jian biang, which, ironically, wasn't the best thing we had. Id' say that title goes to their excellent tofu soup. It's actually done very well here. Ambiance is simple and the food is good, a different experience than the norm. I got the two meat with braised pork rib and cumin lamb. It was good, not too oily, very rich. My boyfriend got the cumin lamb and really liked it as well. He immediately wanted more. One was enough for me. I found it filling. I really want to try the braised pork feet as the photo looks so yummy but I'll have to wait until I get a cheat day on the calendar ;) Anyway, I would recommend this place for trying something off the beaten path when it comes to food. I actually really liked this place!! Quick explanation, you can think of their signature wraps here as Chinese style burrito. I have had tough luck coming here since they had recently changed their hours. I came here once at 3:15pm thinking they were open till 5pm, to find that they had closed at 3pm! I came here on a Saturday late morning, the store wasn't quite busy yet, so I was able to take my time and choose from the crepe wrap menu they have. They offer some seasonal or limited time items, which are only displayed on menus near the counter. For my family's lunch for 4 people, we had ordered 3 different types of crepes: The HK duck with BBQ pork, the cumin lamb, and the Peking duck. We were almost gonna go for their bento box, but realize they were prepared ahead of time and can be warmed up upon request. We got to see them make the crepe in front of us, crepes were obviously fresh to order, which means it may take a while to get your food if there is an influx of people coming into the store. The line luckily piled up BEHIND us, which means we didn't have to wait too long. I liked that they use eggs to toughen up the crepe, as sometimes it can be hard to pick up and hold all the food inside. However, the egg didn't make the crepe soggy either! Of the 3 different crepes we got, my favorite was the cumin lamb. The lamb was very flavorful and they didn't add too much sauce to the wrap itself. Although all of them were FANTASTIC and packed lots of flavors, I'd have to say that they were quite oily (from the pre-cooked meat soaked in meat oil/sauce), and the crepe and the additional sauce they add on makes the overall dish quite salty. I'd definitely come back again, even though this is a bit on the more expensive side for "Chinese fast food". It's been challenging to find street food for a quick bite in Pasadena since there are so many Americanized/modern sit down restaurants or junk food. Jian bings! Ignoring the fact that these are probably dirt cheap on the streets of China, the jian bings here are absolutely delicious. It's an eggy crepe with your choice of filling. I chose peking duck, which is a little pricey, but very delicious. It reminds of eating a peking duck wrap at a banquet with the hoisin sauce. You can upgrade it to have more egg and veggies inside, which I recommend because it fills out the crepe and it is more than enough for one person to have as a meal. There's a bit of heat to one of the sauces if you pick spicy so that was a pleasant surprise as well. If you check-in on Yelp, you'll get a complimentary cup of sweet soy milk to drink. Me + Crepe started in Canada back in 2016 and currently this is one of two US locations as of Oct 2019 (one in Bellevue, WA and one here). Parking is pretty straightforward because there's a free 90-minute public parking structure just a block away. NO restroom for customers, but the overall atmosphere felt pretty modernized. Inside the crepe there is supposed to be a piece of 薄脆 that is supposed to be thin and crispy. Well, this one was not. It was thick and chewy. To he fair, it was probably thin and crispy when it was first made, like, a month ago --- it probably absorbed a lot of moisture. The "tofu now" (豆腐脑）was even worse since it tasted like tofu smoothie topped with a instant-noodle sauce. It can be an innovation, though. The jianbing I last had in Beijing only cost about $1 US. So yes the price is a bit steep at Me + Crepe (Average $10-12). But overall my husband and I thought it was worth a visit. The menu was somewhat unique (I'm surprised they don't have any competitors in Sgv!). My husband ordered their Peking duck and I went for their double down. Our crepes were freshly made, assembled, and ready in about 10 mins. Whoever complained the portion was small - must had been a competitor eater. Def get the double down if you r craving meats (stuffed with bbq pork and duck). If you like spicy, their hot sauce consists of numbing peppercorn - mild was a generous smear, If you don't like that stuff just say no spice and get the bottle of sriracha at the counter. Flavor wise tho - I preferred the Peking duck - Not overwhelming sweet. The Duck was also more tender and fattier! Don't forget the extra hoisin sauce on the side. With free soy milk with check in and tea egg with review, you can skip the "make it a combo option" - total saving $2.50 per person. I got the double-down and I actually liked it. The reason for the 3 stars is because it's just too expensive for what it is and how much they give you. It's like a less filling burrito but almost (could be) 2x the price. I do recommend the double-down for whoever that decides to come. It's tasty. I recommend it exactly the way that I got it. With everything and medium spicy with the chinese donut. I like the chili oil that they provide. For people that eats the pig ears in taiwanese restaurants, it's that chili oil inside this crepe and I think it matches really well with the bbq pork + duck. The free soy milk for checking in on Yelp is just a ploy to get you to come. They won't honor it. Instead they'll give you "15% off cash discount," which amounts to paying the normal menu prices rather than the ~$1 more expensive prices posted elsewhere in the store. There is also a handwritten chalkboard sign *inside the store* that says free tea egg with Yelp check in, which, surprise, they also will not honor. Okay fine, that's annoying, but you're here for the food anyway. My friend and I both got Peking duck crepe. It was okay, but it isn't Peking duck. Skin was mushy and chewy. Cucumbers were very thin and stringy so they didn't give any crunch. The taste of the wontons inside was distracting to me, so I took most of them out. The sauce was pretty cloying and overpowering towards the bottom. All in all, the food is "fine" for something you'd buy for $3 on your way home after a night out. Grabbed lunch here 2 friends and we all got to try different "crepes". According to my Chinese friend they are often sold on the streets as 煎饼果子. They definitely were not what you would typically think of as a crepe with Nutella and bananas inside. All the crepes are basically a whole meal and cost $10-15. There are pre-made ones you can choose from or you can design your own by telling them the ingredients you want! We ordered the New Beef, BBQ Pork, and the Souryuu. All 3 were veryyyy good and we were really pleased with our lunch choice. My souryuu crepe has beef sausage with a special Japanese Mayo sauce that tasted soooo good with a little sriracha added in. I was so hyped for this place after reading all the reviews and seeing that it was a chain that was in Asia as well as Vancouver. It sounded all so promising but when I actually had it I must say it was quite a disappointment experience. Despite being made to order my crepe was lukewarm at best and quite sparsely filled with Peking duck accoutrements and duck. My husband ordered the spicy tofu and it just did not hit the Mark in terms of flavor profile. He did however enjoy his lamb crepe which is why it is getting a three star review. Street parking only and since your meal is made to order, be prepared to wait a bit. Crawfish Crepe!!! This is a savory Chinese style pancake called jian bing which is street food. I chose crawfish as my filling and it also had imitation crabmeat, cucumber and a crisp. At my 1st bite I didn't feel much flavor but as I kept eating it the textures and mala spices started to kick in and everything was in sync. Each bite tasted better and better. There's street parking (metered) or lots around the area. Me + Crepe is the most unassuming store front but don't be deceived! In COVID you walk in right to the front and there are tables to stop you from going too far. You order from there and then we waited outside for our food. My friend & I split two crepes and it was the perfect amount. We got the braised pork rib (good but super fatty. Also the bone/tendon things are kind of annoying but flavor is good!) & peking duck (phenom and has some cucumbers too - definitely a reason it's a favorite!). It took about 15 minutes to get our crepes and they come in these nice little parchment wrappers so you can eat them easily. They're still a little messy so grab napkins! read more

You don't see many places that sell jianbing (Chinese style crepe breakfast street food). When I read on an eaterla article that me+crepe served this breakfast food, I knew there would be a huge influx in the beginning, so I waited a bit to check it out. I did think that the Double Down(BBQ pork+BBQ Duck) and the Peking Duck jianbings were both good, but pretty pricey for what it is. While the quality of the duck and pork from these two jianbings were pretty good, I thought the quantity for the price wasn't enough. Given the location, I understand the price, but if it were a few dollars cheaper, I could see myself being a regular. I didn't experience the same problems that other reviewers had. 1) The crepes were actually under-sauced while everyone before me complained that it was too saucy. I prefer it to be under-sauced so I can add more to my liking. There is a sauce station where you can pick up as much as you need. 2) I went at noon on a Saturday and there was only one person in line. Maybe the hype of the eaterla article died down. Service: It's not the friendliest so it definitely needs some improvement in that area. On the bright side, they do try to improve by reading the Yelp reviews.
