Enjoyed a nice lunch here today with the fam while attending an event at The District Mall. We actually were planning to eat art the Ramen store next door but found that they had closed shop so decided on tacos. They have a good variety of tacos, burritos, and salad bowls, along with a mixture of refreshments such as beer, wine, and their housemade Sangrias (white and red). I ordered the 3 Taco mix and match (pork belly bahn mi, Carne Asada, and fish), while my godson had a steak and egg burrito, and his mom ordered a black bean salad (minus the black bean lol) with kalbi added. The burrito was really good in both taste and size, enough for two. The salad had some great flavor as well, even tho the "kalbi" was made with ground beef rather than slices of meat. The tacos were okay (I've had better), but they were fresh, and each dish came with a side of tortilla chips. The Bahn Mi lacked some of the traditional ingredients such as cilantro, and the pork was a bit dry, but overall, okay. The other two tacos were good as well, but as I said, nothing really special. I liked the fact they had wine and Sangria. I tried the red wine Sangria, which was refreshing. I was hoping for a bit more sweetness, so maybe next time, I'll try the white Sangria. They were really packed, with a line to the door all afternoon, but orders came out fairly quickly, and the prices are reasonable, and the service is good. Walking around the District for a little while on Saturday, and something smelled GOOD. We stumbled upon Me Gusta Tacos and realized that the wonderful smell was coming from here! We couldn't resist the mix and match 3 taco deal, so we ordered: Korean Kalbi (x2): Sweet Soy Ginger Steak, Asian Cabbage Slaw Barbacoa (x2): Braised Chipotle Beef, Diced Onion, Cilantro Fish taco: Pan Seared Cod, Red Cabbage, Cilantro, Wasabi Crema Carne Asada: Charbroiled Marinated Steak, Pico, Queso Fresco We also got chips and 3 kinds of salsa, and a delicious agua fresca. I think it was basil pineapple? Super tasty, and not overly sweet. The tacos were divine. The Korean kalbi is the best of all of them. It was super flavorful. The barbacoa was also pretty good. Very juicy. Make sure to get a couple napkins. I LOVED the fish taco. the fish was seasoned beautifully, and the wasabi crema packed a nice little punch. The carne asada was ok. It would have been better with a little sauce of some kind, but it was still good. (We poured a little salsa on it which helped.) All of the salsas were delicious...according to my husband. I didn't try the habanero one because even he said it was super hot, and I am a wimp of epic proportions. All in all, definitely worth a try! We'll be finding ourselves out here more frequently, and will absolutely be getting those kalbi tacos again. read more

Stopped by after the Raiders game when dropped off on the RTC bus at GVR. Service was super friendly and quick. Their tacos are delicious with various choices. My three were yummy and I especially liked the Korean. Chips and guacamole are tasty. Tried all three salsas. One had a very nice kick. Walk up counter for ordering and a few tables inside or right outside if the weather is good. Large portions and I took home food to enjoy later. I will stop in again to try other items. As part of our yearly summer activities where our children enjoy the splash pad and cool off, our staple is Me Gusta Tacos located at The District in Green Valley Ranch on the West Side just slightly north of the Barbecue and Seafood restaurants. No matter what combo we get, the tacos always hit the spot. This visit we ordered the Me Gusta Bowl and added carnitas to it. This mix hit the spot. Tater tots for our little ones and they were thoroughly enjoyed. Tacos this round were pork belly, asada, and barbacoa. Whatever you do, do not skip over the salsa. I love to mix all three then add them to our food. The workers are extremely friendly and took really good care of us. We were seated outside and they brought our food and drinks to us. Granted, this is not your traditional Taco spot, but I'll tell you, having travelled a small part of the world, this fusion goes a long way paying respect to the cultures they chose to meld together. Came back for some food before visiting a Silver Knights game. Had a great experience last time so we were happy to be back for some food. The location is what I would call a "dive" even though it's right next to GVR and I mean that in all the best ways. It's very bright and clean. The staff are very attentive and happy to see you which is lovely. We ordered the California Burrito with Kalbi and Loaded Quesadilla with Kalbi. The food arrived quickly and we of dove right in. The flavors were all there and great...BUT I have to say the meat in the burrito and quesadilla was a little chewier than we would I have liked. Also the chips have basically no flavoring on them whatsoever. Not even salt, so be aware of that. Located in The District In Green Valley Ranch shopping center, next to the splash pad and ramen shop, they have been serving Mexican cuisine with a twist since 2016. With 9 different taco options, a variety of burritos, bowls, and sides, they even have 3 different types of churros, there is something for everyone. On our last visit we ordered the Pork Belly Bahn Mi tacos, kalbi taco, and pollo tacos which were 3/$12. The pork belly bahn mi had grilled pork belly and the traditional pickled radish and carrot slaw. It was light and refreshing with the veggies. The Korean kalbi taco had an asian slaw and the meat was super tender. The pollo taco was more traditional with pico, avocado and cheese. Tasty. I do wish there was a bigger portion on the proteins. Good chips and salsa. The green salsa was my favorite. I was able to try all three salsas. I ordered the steak California burrito. This burrito is not the traditional burrito you would get at a Mexican taco shop. The tater tots in the burrito were crispy, which I appreciate. The sour cream I felt over powered the burrito. For the price of the burrito, I had expected it to be larger. The employees were very friendly. The employee gave me extra cups of salsa, which I appreciated so I could try all three salsas. It's lazy and inconsiderate to "not do substitutions" All you guys have to do is put *sub _* and there you go, you can calculate costs for your business with subs. But to be paying $15 for a meal that comes with a bunch of expensive meat and ad soon as someone says "sub BEANS" like cheap beans... it's a problem. The mission bowl with pork belly was tasty. The carne on the stacked tater tots was a little over cooked. I thought it was missing something at first since it looked a little different from the pictures I had previously seen on Yelp before going into the restaurant. Not sure if they forgot to add the pico mix (tomatoes) or if we were supposed to ask for it on there. The kalbi tacos had the perfect sweetness to it. The barbacoa meat was tender. The carnitas taco was full of flavor. We checked in on Yelp and was given a free drink. We tried the pineapple basil agua. I prefer just regular pineapple agua and the hint of basil flavor was a little much for my taste buds. I found this spot because we had visited this outdoor mall for its splash park. I had turned around from the chair I was in and saw this place. Location: The location was very clean and modern. It was conveniently located across from said splash pad in what looked like their eating area. They had places to eat inside. There were also places to eat right outside with covered canopies. Food: I ordered 3 tacos that came with chips and salsa. I got their Carne Asada Taco, Carnitas Tacos, and Korean Kalbi Tacos. My favorite was the Carnitas! It was incredibly juicy and tender. I don't care for romaine in burritos and I had the sriracha removed. Tacos were for my friend who literally used the word nasty. I've been coming here for over a year now- And I keep forgetting to write a review! I think it's because I usually stop by after my workout, or a "meet and greet" So basically I'm preoccupied LOL! Located in the heart of the district, these tacos NEVER DISAPPOINT!! They've been unbelievably consistent from day one, that's why I always come back! I've introduced so many people to them, and they all agree it's simply delicious!! My to go to are the " Koren Kalbi , shrimp and pork belly tacos. For my drink- Freshly made Pineapple and basil drink. If you want to add some fun to your life- tell them to make it into a sangria ! They add some white wine to it, and boom! You're fancyy! Now, dessert ! Their churros are heaven sent! Caramel filled, cream filled or plain- with cinnamon and sugar. You can't go wrong with either one of those. Side note- The tacos comes with tortilla chips, and three types of salsa for you to choose from. I'm a spicy woman- so , I get the spicy habernero. They have mild and medium- way too bland for me. I like tons of flavor, and that's what that salsa has- roasted garlic , citrus and ofcourse habernero! Oh, and they also have vegetarian options too.. I came here because of the great reviews. However, I did not take into consideration that the establishment is in the middle of the District, which doesn't really cater to a population that I would trust when it comes to judging Mexican food. Service was mediocre, the girl behind the counter kept eating her words so it was very hard to understand her. Hubby got a 3 taco plate with shrimp taco, pork belly taco, and carne asada taco. I'd like to know how a taco place messes up carne asada, super dry and flavorless. Shrimp taco claimed to have sriracha crema, it definitely didn't have enough sriracha in it so that was disappointing and shrimp portion was super small. He said the pork belly taco was the best but again, not enough meat. The tacos only came with one tortilla, they usually come with two at legit Mexican places. Also, we're pretty sure they didn't season or heat the tortillas properly. I got a burrito bowl with barbacoa that tasted nothing like barbacoa. Because I couldn't finish it, I had my husband finish it and he asked how I even ate the bit that I did because it was so flavorless. The guacamole didn't taste fresh at all and needed more onions, cilantro, and lime. I'm also pretty sure the tortilla chips were Tostitos, nothing fresh about them. The Agua Fresca we got was the pineapple basil. Way too much ice and not enough Agua Fresca for 3.50. Very bland as well like the rest of the meal. They had a small cooler with salsa in it, they had 3 types: Salsa Rojo which they rated a 4/10 spicy level... pretty sure it was just watered down tomato sauce. Salsa verde did not have enough tomatillo flavor and was a bright lime green color, a bit odd. They rated this as 6/10, it was nowhere near a 6. I would rate it at a 3 or 4 at the most. Habanero salsa, they rated this at a 9/10. Accurate rating, good flavor but too sweet. I definitely would never return to this place. Nor would I recommend this place to anyone unless that particular person grew up think Taco Bell is Mexican food. read more

Over the years I've walked by Me Gusta Tacos and thought that I should eat here again. Recently I came here for lunch and didn't think it was quite as good as the first time. The good first. The employees are friendly and welcoming. The location is convenient if you're already at The District. The proximity to the splash pad is great for people with kids. Pricing for three tacos with chips is reasonable. My three tacos of choice were the Shrimp, Carne Asada, and Korean Kalbi. The Shrimp was my favorite because of the flavors in the taco and the sauce. The other two weren't bad, but they weren't overly flavorful and a little dry. Some more seasoning on the meat or a sauce would make them tasty. I enjoyed the salty chips with their salsas. In addition to tacos I ordered the Roasted Corn with Bacon and a Caramel Churro. The corn was okay. I'd love if they also offered a traditional Mexican corn. The caramel churro was my favorite item of everything I ordered and I'd return for this alone. The churro has a great flavor and was perfectly crispy. Overall, this isn't a bad place to grab some tacos. My favorite part of a taco is the uber flavorful meat and unfortunately Me Gusta didn't quite deliver on that for me. read more

Me gusta tacos. Like... me gusta tacos muy mucho. Is that correct spanish? LOL. This small establishment makes a BIG statement with their menu and sauces! I'm in love with their green sauce....... I'd probably put it on anything at this point. The bowl is so worth it, and the mango sauce they use is delicious and fresh. Everything I've tried from the menu is super tasty. Even the churros!
