Meadowlark is a staple in the Tri-valley and I'm so glad they now have a Livermore location! The ice cream shop is easy walking distance from the First St restaurants so it's a great treat after a meal downtown. It's nice that they have an indoor space now with quite a few household items for sale on the side. I like that the checkout is separate to where the ice cream is handed out - keeps the line moving. Overall same good service and great quality ice cream :) read more

I think their soft serve ice cream is delicious and the price is amazingly affordable. I can't wait for them to turn this location into a drive thru like the Pleasanton location. I so happy they have a location a bit closer to me. I also love their hours and still need to try their coffee and shake items They have parking in the back while street parking in the front. Seating available outside only. Will be returning again soon for sure Flavors change but they usually have main regular flavors I do think pineapple should be enjoyed only in a cup and I'm glad they had chocolate for the last on my order. Best ice cream ever hands down, I was so excited when they opened up in Livermore!! Service was a bit rough. No smiles from the girl at the register and my ice cream server aggressively yelled my name a whole foot away from me before serving me my cone. 4.8 stars. Delicious soft serve, just excellent. Flavorful yet still not heavy (has a medium Pineapple and it was MORE than enough for one. Cute little shop, staff, while very young, are incredibly friendly and the prices are more than affordable. First time at this location. I've been to the Pleasanton location a few times before. When we got there, there was a very short line. Ordering and paying was quick. Sooner after, my name was called and my ice cream was ready! I ordered a medium pineapple and vanilla. It was so delicious and yummy! The pineapple had a nice bold flavor to it. Mixed with vanilla was so good! I liked that there was a parking lot with plenty of spaces to park. read more

Came here around 6:50 pm on a Tuesday with my girlfriend. Wasn't packed at all. The place is pretty big, and it is in its soft opening phase, there are fridges filled with milks, heavy whipping cream, etc., to buy as well if you need it, which I thought was pretty cool, there are other stuff to buy besides ice cream. There are freezers coming for frozen items to sell which I can't wait to see what they put. But, for the ice cream I got strawberry, such a good flavor it was tart and it was very good. I also got chocolate on top of the strawberry which made it like a chocolate covered strawberry and it was so good it's one of my favorites. My girlfriend got the mix of orange and vanilla, it tasted like a creamsicle, and it's not my favorite but it was really good it tasted fresh and not artificial. Overall, the price and sizing of the ice cream is hands down what gets every other place beat. I highly recommend. read more

I'm a regular at the Meadowlark in Pleasanton and I was so excited to hear that they were opening a second location in Livermore! It's the perfect spot for one. I like this location more because it's bigger, indoors, and there's a lot of parking in downtown Livermore. The ice cream was just as good as we expect from Meadowlark Dairy and I can't wait to frequent more in the warmer months! I honestly kind of hope they never open the drive through though because I don't want that area or street to get congested :( read more

I always wanted to visit this place in Pleasanton and was excited to hear that it made its way to Livermore. Meadowlark Dairy is set in downtown Livermore, right across the US Postal Office. There is outside seating to enjoy the delicious ice cream. The cashiers are quick to take your order and the other teammates are efficient to bring out the ice creams! Absolutely. Meadowlark couldn't have found a better location in Livermore. The history, the brick- beautiful! Beyond ecstatic that there is an indoor ordering area and we no long have to wait outside in the scorching heat (for the most part). I do anticipate this place to be poppin with lines wrapped around the corner in the soon to be months just like Pleasanton! Ordering is really simple tho: walk in through the double doors, order straight ahead, and then they'll call your name out on the right hand corner. It's as easy as that. They also have a row of fridges located on the left hand side which will be filled with goodies soon! They're currently going through their soft opening phase with plenty of potential of filling up the shop! There's little placards placed on the walls with what their vision entails and I can't wait to see it come to life. The flavors are consistent with the Pleasanton location, but they aren't doing seasonal ones at the moment. My biggest excitement is their collabs with local businesses and coffee shops, especially with Story Coffee down the street! A gem added to DT Livermore and I couldn't be happier. read more

It is a large facility and we came here one evening after a meeting. After frequenting the Pleasanton location for years, this one is quite different without the drive through. I love that you can see the groceries they have on hand and that is spacious enough not to be standing on top of each other while in there....seems awkward that you walk all the way in to order and the pick up counter is near the door....seems like it should be the other way around. I liked it though...and happy to see there is another location! Nice to not have to drive all the way to Pleasanton! read more

I had no idea Meadowlark Dairy opened up a location in Livermore! This location is nice and bright and very spacious. I thought the design of the place had a cool modern touch. I liked that we could escape from the heat for a bit since they had the line forming indoors with the AC on. The line moved super quickly even though it was crowded and we were in and out within 10 minutes. I got a small cone of their pineapple/vanilla swirl and it was plenty for myself. Next time, I really should try to venture out and try their milkshakes. read more

After our group's hike at DeValle, we headed for downtown Livermore for lunch and then to the new Meadowlark Dairy for some ice cream. As frequent customers to their original location in downtown Pleasanton, we were excited to check out this new location. Located at the corner of Second St and S. Livermore Ave, this location is modern and appears to be in a former bank building. There are tables outside and a low wall where you can sit to enjoy your ice cream. Inside, the left side is a refrigerated section with dairy, cheese, juices, drinks and cold cuts. They sell bread and some grocery staples as well. At the back end of the store is where you place your ice cream orders. The flavor menu is posted on the wall behind the counter. You pick up your order at the counter to the right of the entrance. Same delicious ice cream as in Pleasanton. Friendly service. There's a restroom at the back right of the store. Clean modern atmosphere vs the homey atmosphere in Pleasanton. We love stopping in at Meadowlark whenever we are in the area. Bonus there is now a location in Livermore. So we popped on in. Great location even if it doesn't have a drive-thru. The inside is plenty big with refrigerator and freezer sections to purchase items as well as a small area of other foods and merchandise. The murals on the wall are fantastic. We got lucky and came on a day that had Story Coffee flavor. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They even wished us a Happy Easter. There are a number of tables outside both that get shade and in the sun. Loved it. read more

Finally another location has opened up as a reprieve from the endless long lines in Pleasanton. Located a block away from the main street of Livermore downtown, this Meadowlark Dairy is in a renovated bank building. It is very spacious with tall ceilings inside, which is surprising that there are no interior dining spaces as the only dining available is outdoors with no covered patio. I am not sure how this will be during the hot summer months. Instead, they made room for refrigerated food and a limited amount of non-perishables as part of their grocery offerings. When I asked the staff member during one of my recent visits she indicated that people actually do buy groceries from their store. Lines typically move pretty swiftly as they do in their original location. What sets the Livermore location apart from Pleasanton that I have come to find and which keeps me coming back, is that their ice cream texture and flavors for superior. I find that the temperature of the ice cream is slightly lower which leaves a softer texture, not as ice cold hard and also has a better taste. Additionally, they consistently have a better presentation of the ice cream swirls atop my cone. The only minor complaint I have about the Livermore location is that they close one hour earlier than Pleasanton. I just sometimes can't get out to get my treat after dinner with the earlier closure. Perhaps this might change in the future. Some might note that this location loses its charm without the drive-through and walk up experiences. I did hear though that the drive-thru will be coming sometime in the future once they work out the traffic flow with the city of Livermore. So that will be something for others to look forward to hopefully sooner than later! read more

This is the second Meadowlark location in the Bay Area, and I was excited to see how walkable it was after having brunch in Downtown Livermore. There were tons of people outside, leading us to think the line was out the door, but it was literally groups of people just hanging out enjoying their ice cream. The line was inside, and we waited no more than 5 minutes to place our order. After making our way to the separate pick up order, my small orange creamsicle was ready. I went during their soft opening and it was a great experience. They had some groceries so I imagine they'll be fully stocked soon (if they aren't already). Despite the crowd outside, we were able to get our order quickly. They only had their regular menu which makes sense as they just opened. Heard this was the new location apart from Pleasanton location. They carry flavors like vanilla, chocolate, orange, strawberry, and pineapple. They also do swirls with vanilla/chocolate and orange/vanilla. Does seasonal flavors as well. Service: Extremely friendly and helpful. Above and beyond with service. I was transporting the soft serve to San Jose with insulated bag, they understood the mission and packaged it in special way cup in plastic cup. Ambiance: Inside is very spacious with one wall of fridges filled with dairy goods, drinks, and meat. There's no drive-thru like the other location. Chocolate $3.50 (4.5/5): Great value for size small, these are always massive. It was nicely creamy and classic chocolate flavor. Definitely would come back if I'm around the area. My wife and I both ordered vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate. Hers came in a small cup and mine in a medium cone, totaling $7.25. It's great to see them open a second location in my hometown. The place has a welcoming, laid-back ambience with a neighborhood feel. They're still putting the finishing touches on the inside, but you can already tell they're going to do really well. Man, can you beat the Meadowlark price for a simple cone of soft serve? And it's so good! Why does so much soft serve taste like chemicals, when you could make it like this? Love their Pleasanton location and this location is just as great. Super efficient staff and ordering process. This location has the option to buy limited groceries, pints and t-shirts. Kinda odd, but it fills the space. Quality of soft server and amount are parallel to the Pleasanton location. No inside seating but they have a few tables outside and can sit alongside the building. Located in downtown Livermore which is pretty chill and nice area to just enjoy your soft serve. And a lot of shade from the sun. Great pricing for the amount of soft sever you get. Specialties

Meadowlark Dairy was founded in 1919 in Pleasanton, Ca. It was the first certified dairy in Alameda county for cleanliness, and while today you see most people line up for our ice cream, in the past it was all about getting drive thru groceries, you can still get groceries today! Our Livemore location will be slightly different, without a drive thru for the first few years, until we can get a system down, then with a little effort and maybe some luck and set drive thru hours, we can open for our elderly patrons seeking those grocery items in the drive thru once again. The city of Livermore has its own history with drive thru dairies as well, Holdeners (Murrieta and Railroad, where rite aid is now) and Jersey Crown (on Maple street). We hope to once again bring a drive thru back to Livermore, even if it looks slightly different. For now, enjoy our walk in line with our friendly local high school students ready to help you with your grocery or ice cream needs. Hope to be opening in Summer 2025

Meadowlark Dairy is one of those places that just never misses and when you factor in a hot summer day in Livermore, the ice cream somehow tastes even better. There's nothing quite like earning that cone in the heat. We got a large pineapple soft serve and a strawberry vanilla swirl and both were absolutely delicious. The pineapple soft serve was bright, fruity, and so refreshing -- exactly what you want when the sun is beating down. The strawberry vanilla swirl was a classic done right, perfectly balanced and just creamy enough to hit the spot. If you pull up and see a long line, don't let it scare you off, it moves fast and it is absolutely worth the wait. The whole operation is smooth and efficient which makes the experience that much better. Meadowlark Dairy is a Livermore staple for a reason. Whether you're a local or just passing through, do yourself a favor and stop in. Just maybe bring cash and some patience for the summer rush, though like I said, you won't be waiting long! read more

We love The Stroll Cafe and have been countless times now. It's in the atrium of a business…read morebuilding and a great place to take friends, chat, or work. The owner makes her own coffee blends, breads, and pastries. You may find prices to be a bit high, but once you receive your order, you know why....and it's WORTH it. The sandwiches come on either the homemade sourdough bread or homemade baguette. Things like dragon fruit pickled onions on a ham and gruyere sandwich really add to the quality and freshness. The coffees with cold cheese cold foam (YES--CHEESE) are delicious. The foam adds a rich, creamy layer that you can watch swirl like a lava lamp in your cup, with an added tinge of saltiness. The croissants are not standard croissants that are super light and airy, however, they are clearly made with high quality ingredients and my friend, who orders croissants everywhere we go, loves them. This is one of my favorite places for coffee, breakfast pastry or sandwich, or lunch. Everyone I take there loves it too.

The only reason I'm giving it 4 out of 5 stars is because it didn't have a strong vanilla flavor. It tasted more like lightly sweetened coffee than a true vanilla latte with a rich vanilla bean taste. Other than that, the service was excellent and very fast. I loved watching them brew the espresso shots and prepare the coffee fresh right in front of me. The bakery itself is absolutely beautiful, with a great atmosphere. I highly recommend stopping by not just for the coffee, but also to enjoy the space and take a few pictures.

I was telling my son how amazing my sandwich was from here…read more It was my first time to try this. It is located off of Hopyard close to Teriyaki Madness and Bee'. Olive Market is part Mediterranean market and deli. I went with one of their signature sandwiches. You can order at the cashier. I dropped a star because they forgot about my order. When a bunch of people left, I asked about my order. Fortunately I wasn't in a hurry but it was annoying to be forgotten! What made up is that their sandwich was amazing. I could not eat the other half and let my husband enjoy it. If and when I go back, I will order ahead. Hopefully they won't forget about my order next time.
