This barbecue and bakery restaurant recently opened. Stopped in today for lunch, and was very impressed with the barbecue. I ordered the pulled pork baked potato. The pork was seasoned perfectly and very tender. Baked potato was not lacking for size! Loved the sauce as well. Will definitely return to try their beef and ribs. This is by far our favorite place around for BBQ! We have loved everything we've tried! The Frito Pie made with Brisket is so delicious! Best Frito Pie I've ever had! They also have the friendliest staff! And the Owner comes out and greets everyone and shows so much appreciation to his customers. We love the live music on the weekends too! Tried to check-in here on FB but I couldn't find it. I had the name all wrong. Guess I was in such a hurry to eat I was searching for the wrong place. Sure glad I was in the right place to eat though. Ribs are awesome. Right texture and taste. Brisket was drier than I like but on the good side of dry not bad at all. Better than being too moist and greasy that's for sure. The man sitting next to me recommended the homemade BBQ sauce. A little sauce made the brisket sooo much better. Owner visited every customer for input and the rest of the staff were very nice and friendly. New place with a good atmosphere. Clean, cool and quiet. Good place for kids. Their burgers and loaded baked potatoes, and I DO mean loaded, looked excellent. Easy to find at the corner of Hwy 249 and Hwy 149. Only a few miles north of Tomball. This is by far the best place to get Q!!! I had the 1904, perfectly done brisket melted cheese on delicious buttery Texas toast. The most flavorful green beans ever! My husband had the Big Johnny. Shredded pork, chopped brisket and sausage piled way high on a hoagie roll. I stole a bite and it was worth it! Two people could split this one and it would be plenty for sure! For dessert we split a slice of blueberry pie and my oh my! I asked and they made it from scratch in the kitchen. It took me back to my grandma's pies. Staff was really nice and they make you feel right at home. Only regret is we did not take pics of this delicious meal!!! We will definitely be going back!!! read more

Great food and southern hospitality. I'd read great things about this place and it definitely lived up to its reputation. We over ordered a bit for a comprehensive taste testing. We had the Frito Pie, BBQ Quesadilla and BBQ Potato. I've been gone for 20 minutes and can still taste the smoke in the brisket. Service is wonderful and very personalized. The meals were served on trays, it was pricey, they did not have chicken at lunch time because they had ran out, the vegetables were peppery and did not taste done and the brisket was not cooked long enough so it was very fatty. Not worth the trip. read more

We went to the new location in Montgomery. Although both of our brisket sandwiches were good and had a nice flavor. This place could make some adjustments. First on a Sunday afternoon around 12:30p peak lunch time for after church crowds. I would assume that a restaurant would be prepared and have plenty of food items. They were out of pico, Mac & cheese, and had no potatoes ready for stuff baked potatoes. Secondly their prices are out of this world ... very unrealistic. They sell meat by the pound like most bbq restaurants. But they also sell sausage in the meat by the pound category. For a 1/2 pound is $9.00 dollars and 1 pound is $18.00. I wanted to try a small amount of jalapeño sausage. So I asked the price for 1/2 a link they didn't have a price for 1/2 a link. Instead they weighted out 1/2 a link which was around 1/2 a pound. They wanted to charge $9.00 for half a link and $18.00 for a whole sausage!!! For comparison purposes Rudy's charges $2.79 for 1/2 a link of jalapeño sausage and $5.49 for whole link. Super gross. Ribs tasted like the meat was rancid. The coleslaw tasted like the Asian cabbage salad mix. The brisket was o.k. but we won't be back. No wating though. Guess now we know why it was emty the whole time we were there.We will stick with Harris County. It's further out but its worth it. read more

Wife and I just tried to go here for dinner (Friday evening at 6PM). We waited at the register for 10 minutes before we walked out. The girl at the register was on the phone and never acknowledged our existence. We saw 6 of 8 tables waiting for food. Lots of unhappy faces. The food was excellent and most of the waitstaff were friendly and accommodating. The price was as expected. The restaurant was clean. We all had brisket and it was delicious! Very tender & flavorful. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 is the lady who you order food from might have had a bad day. I'll try this place again & edit my review if that's the case. She was civil but short answers, not friendly, and took ten minutes to take our order even though there was no one in line ahead of us. She needed to restock everything, check on tables, deliver food (even though there were two other people delivering food and she just took one thing at a time) and it was the same thing when we went to get to go boxes. We went there for breakfast a few days ago. The only baked goods they had were pie and cookies. So, I'm not sure why they would call themselves a bakery. My daughter had a breakfast taco with brisket and she said it was ok. My daughter went back for lunch today around 12:30 and they were out of pulled pork and chicken. I know they've only been open a short time so maybe things will get better. I hope so since we like supporting local businesses. read more
