I am so disappointed. Ive been coming here for years and the past year went down hill. The woman who did the purple color- she cut my cuticles to the point they bled. I called and they seemed frustrated that I complained and offered a 20% discount that came to about only $8 off. I returned a few months later and the pink is what I have now. I got them a few DAYS ago and they are already peeling, the skin around my nail wasn't even properly removed, they are uneven. She didn't even put a top coat on to seal it in. The first few times the staff was very unfriendly because I complained which I never do! The recent on she was nice but it was done very poorly.

    Peeling raw skin

I had Kelly N, and this was my first time at Medford Nail Bar. I came in asking for gel but Kelly told me I should do dip because it's better for your nails (not true, I know now). My nails are short for work- but she cut them even shorter and then complained they were too short the entire time. She did the powder dip VERY sloppily which results in lots and lots of dip getting onto my skin and under the top of the nail. The dip took about 10 minutes, which I realize now was why she pushed for powder/dip instead of gel, but then spent about 25 minutes trying to get off all the excess dip that had solidified onto my skin. Because of this process, she ended up taking about 3 rounds to separate my nails from the skin as well as remove excess which resulted in her removing so much skin around my nails and underneath it that they all started to peel within the appointment. I asked her to stop and she told me "next time you should say you don't want your skin cut.... I didn't even cut your cuticle." On top of that- the powder itself is poorly done to the point there is literally a piece of hair stuck between the layers. I noticed it and told her, and she did agree to fix it but "putting a layer to cover it up" but truly couldn't stand to have more sloppily done dip so left it alone since it would probably result in much further damage. I know her intentions were good but I feel extremely taken advantage of. I didn't even want powder coming in. And now my nails and skin are ruined 24 hours before a big event. These photos are taken in the parking lot DIRECTLY after the appointment. You can see how raw and irritated everything is. Additionally- the hygiene was VERY poor. I work in medical facility and had to close my eyes at certain things. NOT SANITARY. Poorly done. Frustrating and frankly- sad. No one wants to cry in the car 5 minutes after their appointment. And I'm a dermatologist so I know that her claims of, " your skin is just dry" is frankly false

Really? She kept staring at the hourglass while giving her terrible leg massage

Wow! I can't even! I've been coming here for years and have never been so upset. Got a pedicure from Kayla who seemed like she was in a real rush to get me out of her hands. She even had a hourglass to time her massage which was basically slapping lotion on my feet. The manager said they use the hourglass to time their massages but no one else had one. She got polish all over my toes. Asked if I liked the color and I said "not really" and she dragged me over to the manicure side. I was so worked up that after she put the gel remover goo on I asked for her to please remove the goo and told her I was leaving. The manager (I think) came over to ask me what was wrong and I told her it was the most rushed uncomfortable pedicure I've ever had. All she had were excuses with no apologies. She even had the nerve to charge me for the pedi and my dumb a$$ gave Kayla a 10 dollar tip. Smh Mani pedis are supposed to be relaxing Quickly ran over to Malden Nail Bar and they treated me with kindness and care. Thank you Tiem

My toenail polish looked better before I went it and my feet were not ashy when I went in but that's how they left

I've been here 4x so far. And have been nothing but satisfied. My friend recommend me to this place cause I'm really particular on my nails. It's hard moving to a new state and trying to find a good place. I see Jayden and he is amazing. I've seen Johnny as well he great to. I got my first pedi there and it was so needed. Got my ingrowns out and everything. The place is so pretty inside and everyone is so friendly. I def recommend this place.

Horrible horrible horrible money hungry people. I should give 0 starts. I've been getting my nails done here for years and recently switched to acrylic on my natural nails. The last nail tech, Kayla, who did my nails did a horrible job, and I had to come in to get them fixed a couple days after. They barely lasted two weeks and multiple nails were chipping and cracking, which allowed water to get underneath my nails, which caused a fungus growth. My nails are now extremely short and damaged. I was only given 30 dollars off and told that "they're nails and they grow back" it never had to be like this and I'm so incredibly upset. I am forced to wear my nails short until they grow out. Avoid this place like the plague if you care about the health of your nails. Disgusting attitude with the whole situation

I've been going to Medford nail bar for the past 2 years for gel manicures and pedicures. This past visit will be my last. I decided to upgrade to a dip manicure after multiple manicurists suggest I do so (my gel was peeling in less than 10 days). I went in with long healthy nails, my pointer fingers were a bit shorter, and the manicurist Davina asked if she should trim them to make them even. She continues to completely destroy my nails and they look utterly ridiculous. I mentioned to the manicurist and the receptionist I was unhappy with the thickness and shape and neither offered a solution or an apology. I'm now leaving for a vacation with this heinous manicure and will need to hunt for a new salon when I return.

Updating as I still have not heard back anything from the company. Can't say I'm not surprised because it's obvious from when you walk in the door that they don't care. Updating with a photo now that the redness went down of the scratches left behind from when the lady swiped my ankle with the file

Came back a few days later because the nail polish started chipping off really significantly after such a short time. I tried to remove it on my own and couldn't. I came in and explained and booked a polish change. They also had a hard time removing my nail polish and needed to use a tool to do it but it didn't harm my nails so that's good. They also gave me a discount even though I didn't ask, highly recommend again just don't get the glitter nail polish (larger glitter flakes, not sure about the tiny ones I bet those are fine for removal)

What warranted a $5 shape fee on a $60 full service??

I've really tried to give them a chance after hearing lots of negative reviews because of convenient location. However as everyone says, BEWARE OF HIDDEN FEES. You will always be charged additional, and it will not be discussed prior to your service. I have gone here many many times and bring lots of friends and family. However my nails, being short, I was STILL charged a "shape fee" for short coffin. This is an expected full set service to have the nails filed and shaped. They were not extended or even long length (see pictures). I'm already paying for the full set as is, not a fill. No salon would ever charge $5 to shape the nail service already being charged. I've seen hidden fees often and overlook them. This time I asked for a price list and they did not have one. This tells me they make up prices as they see fit. I have been an excellent customer but will not stand for hidden fees in an already expensive business. As for customer experience: do not come here looking for a relaxing time. They are loud, rude, talk over you, make faces and gestures to clients' nails, and are very unprofessional. Shame on JOHNNIE, the owner, for an unprofessional experience.

Unfortunately, I am sad to say I will never be going back to MNB. I was a loyal customer for almost 2 years. I found the best nail techs who always made my visions come to life. My last appt I decided to do a design which consisted of outlining my nail with a color. It came out so beautifully that after I left I decided I wanted all my nails to have the design so I went back. I was told my nail tech Kylie could take me if I came in that moment, which I did. I got there and was told I needed to wait and they couldn't give me a time frame of how long. Ultimately I felt pressured to agree to have someone else do them. Davina did my nails and she did such a poor job that within 3 hours my nails were all chipping in various places. So I called to get them fixed. I arrived and they asked to see my nails. At this point I had taken off a few of them because it was such an eye sore for me to look at chipped nails. Management gave me a dirty look and told me to stop touching them. So I did. Kylie was so kind to make the time to fix them and she did AMAZING so shoutout to you girl. I should've stuck with waiting for you and I wouldn't be writing this review. I'm sad I won't be seeing you anymore thanks to your shitty management. I go to the register to see if I owe anything. And management gives me this lecture about their policy and how they need to see the damaged nails in order to fix them. She then proceeded to say they wouldn't do "complicated designs" for me moving forward. I didn't understand because I've never done a complicated design in my almost 2 years of getting my nails done here. I asked management if my nails were complicated which she proceeded to say no.... So I'm still confused. I have been a loyal customer for way too long and felt like this was completely unnecessary. I spend over $100 every trip. This was the first time I ever came to MNB 3 times in one day and it was insane. I'm not someone who complains too much because I appreciate the work they do but also I spend good earned money and a lot of it at MNB. Regardless, if I want to come back 5 times in one day it shouldn't matter. I am paying you for your service. If something breaks, chips or I'm just unhappy with the finished product it shouldn't matter. It should be fixed with no issues. Customer service should be the top priority here and after the lecture I received it's clear to me that fixing bad work is more of an annoyance to them than anything. They want you in and out and without any complaints. I'll attach a picture so you can see how "complicated" my design was.

I cannot say enough good things about Shannon and her business, Noel Herbal Skincare…read more I had my first facial with her over the summer and it was by far one of the most relaxing and effective facials I've ever had. As a person, Shannon is a true professional and is an expert when it comes to skincare and using natural products to promote wellness. She has such a gentle, calming spirit, and you feel at ease as soon as you are in her presence. When I visited Shannon, I received the Moon Facial, which was very restorative and left my skin feeling beautiful. It involves extractions and steam, but in the most gentle way possible. I'm personally pretty sensitive to steam, so I asked Shannon if it could be lowered and she immediately took care of it and was great about checking in during the whole process to make sure I was comfortable. The products she used didn't irritate my skin at all and really made a difference. My mom has also visited Shannon for facials many times, and tells me that her "happy place" is being at Noel Herbal Skincare, receiving the most amazing facial. I completely agree. Cheers to many more visits to the happy place.

All the products felt so good on my skin. When masks were sitting on my face Shannon did neck, shoulder and arm massages. I used the restroom when I was done and I was shocked when I looked in the mirror. My skin looked so healthy. A few months ago I did a hydro facial and my skin did not look like this when I left. Going forward I am going to skip those spa's and do a facial with Shannon.
