full set hard gel: horrible work done by Mindy. rushed through my nails. the shaping is HORRENDOUS. i had to ask her to make my nails all look the same. the hard gel started peeling back from my nails after 3 days and two of the nails broke off after 3 days!!. the manager or owner gave me 20% refund. that's 14$ and i paid $75. i appreciate the gesture but i have to go get them redone and pay an additional $75 so it really didn't help me. read more

This place is hit or miss. It depends on who you get. Kelly is awful. She's so rough and does not do a good a good job at all. If you get her as your technician, just be aware that your nails will be different lengths and you'll have polish everywhere. I just had a pedicure yesterday and it's already chipped. The last nail tech, Kayla, who did my nails did a horrible job, and I had to come in to get them fixed a couple days after. They barely lasted two weeks and multiple nails were chipping and cracking, which allowed water to get underneath my nails, which caused a fungus growth. My nails are now extremely short and damaged. I was only given 30 dollars off and told that "they're nails and they grow back" it never had to be like this and I'm so incredibly upset. I am forced to wear my nails short until they grow out. I have gone here for probably 6 years. Since they opened. The last time I got my nails done the lady forced me to cut ALL of my natural nails down to the base, this was to upcharge me for putting tips on. On top of that, each nail she fucking took off has BROKEN. It has folded back and three of my nails have broken before the end of my finger and have been bleeding for days. Don't go here. The nail designs are nice but they will do anything to make money off of you. A few experiences ago, I went in to get my nails done, two weeks after I got them done. That's their policy. Then they charged me 20 dollars for two nails to be fixed. That's almost 30% of the amount you would pay to get a new set. This place is fucking scheme, they are just trying to rip you off. I've been going to Medford nail bar for the past 2 years for gel manicures and pedicures. This past visit will be my last. I decided to upgrade to a dip manicure after multiple manicurists suggest I do so (my gel was peeling in less than 10 days). I went in with long healthy nails, my pointer fingers were a bit shorter, and the manicurist Davina asked if she should trim them to make them even. She continues to completely destroy my nails and they look utterly ridiculous. I mentioned to the manicurist and the receptionist I was unhappy with the thickness and shape and neither offered a solution or an apology. Came back a few days later because the nail polish started chipping off really significantly after such a short time. I tried to remove it on my own and couldn't. I came in and explained and booked a polish change. They also had a hard time removing my nail polish and needed to use a tool to do it but it didn't harm my nails so that's good. They also gave me a discount even though I didn't ask, highly recommend again just don't get the glitter nail polish (larger glitter flakes, not sure about the tiny ones I bet those are fine for removal) read more

I've really tried to give them a chance after hearing lots of negative reviews because of convenient location. However as everyone says, BEWARE OF HIDDEN FEES. You will always be charged additional, and it will not be discussed prior to your service. I have gone here many many times and bring lots of friends and family. However my nails, being short, I was STILL charged a "shape fee" for short coffin. This is an expected full set service to have the nails filed and shaped. They were not extended or even long length (see pictures). I'm already paying for the full set as is, not a fill. No salon would ever charge $5 to shape the nail service already being charged. I've seen hidden fees often and overlook them. This time I asked for a price list and they did not have one. This tells me they make up prices as they see fit. I have been an excellent customer but will not stand for hidden fees in an already expensive business. As for customer experience: do not come here looking for a relaxing time. Unfortunately, I am sad to say I will never be going back to MNB. I was a loyal customer for almost 2 years. I found the best nail techs who always made my visions come to life. My last appt I decided to do a design which consisted of outlining my nail with a color. It came out so beautifully that after I left I decided I wanted all my nails to have the design so I went back. I was told my nail tech Kylie could take me if I came in that moment, which I did. I got there and was told I needed to wait and they couldn't give me a time frame of how long. Ultimately I felt pressured to agree to have someone else do them. Davina did my nails and she did such a poor job that within 3 hours my nails were all chipping in various places. So I called to get them fixed. I arrived and they asked to see my nails. At this point I had taken off a few of them because it was such an eye sore for me to look at chipped nails. Management gave me a dirty look and told me to stop touching them. So I did. Kylie was so kind to make the time to fix them and she did AMAZING so shoutout to you girl. I should've stuck with waiting for you and I wouldn't be writing this review. I'm sad I won't be seeing you anymore thanks to your shitty management. I go to the register to see if I owe anything. And management gives me this lecture about their policy and how they need to see the damaged nails in order to fix them. She then proceeded to say they wouldn't do "complicated designs" for me moving forward. I didn't understand because I've never done a complicated design in my almost 2 years of getting my nails done here. I asked management if my nails were complicated which she proceeded to say no.... So I'm still confused. I have been a loyal customer for way too long and felt like this was completely unnecessary. I spend over $100 every trip. This was the first time I ever came to MNB 3 times in one day and it was insane. I'm not someone who complains too much because I appreciate the work they do but also I spend good earned money and a lot of it at MNB. Regardless, if I want to come back 5 times in one day it shouldn't matter. I am paying you for your service. If something breaks, chips or I'm just unhappy with the finished product it shouldn't matter. It should be fixed with no issues. Customer service should be the top priority here and after the lecture I received it's clear to me that fixing bad work is more of an annoyance to them than anything. I had been getting my nails done at Medford Nail Bar for 3 years, but recently had to change salons because of some bad business practices. For years I was a loyal customer here and even sent many people who also became loyal customers. The last time I got my nails done at Medford Nail Bar, I was charged $5 dollars more than usual without being told. When I got home and checked my bank statement, I saw the charge so I called to ask why. I didn't care about the money, but was just wondering if they had increased their prices, as it wasn't mentioned at check out. I sent a photo of my nails and when I called to ask about the charge, I was given a bunch of completely made up reasons such as, my nails were too long (they had been that length for months), my nails "curved upwards," whatever that means, and my nails were "hard to work with." I had been seeing the same nail tech every visit for a year, and my nails, obviously, have been the same the whole time. I kept mentioning that my nails have been the same and the was met with silence for 30 seconds until the owner could figure out another excuse to give me. I felt incredibly taken advantage of. If you charge more for long nails, thats fine. It should be written somewhere in the store, or mentioned to the customer. She even went so far as to make me feel like she was giving me a break because "sometimes they charge an extra 20" for long nails. Mind you my nails are a completely reasonable length. They are my own natural nails, not tips. I don't like leaving negative reviews. I had a few less than great experiences here with air bubbles in my dip manicures 3 times in a row, and really terrible pedicures. The only reason I have decided to leave this review now is because I have heard from other people that they have overcharged without valid reason in the past. So be careful. I just moved to the area and was hoping that this place would be my go to as it's walking distance for me but I was left unimpressed with my gel mani/gel pedi. The pedicure was mediocre, no massage and felt like I was being talked about from the moment I sat down. The woman was quiet which is fine but made no effort to make the experience personable. As a MNF frequenter for almost 5 years, they used to be SO good but they rush now. I had a 10 am appointment and was back in my car by 10:24 for a gel mani with soak off. Don't ever ask for Kelly, she is so rude and rough. I had to ask her to fix three nails and didn't even notice my index finger until I was back in the car. The nail bar was a bit busy when my friend and I went in for our appt and I think due to stress the owner was taking it out on the customers. I was waiting for about 15 minutes for someone to do the nail art which i didn't mind but when the owner came over to do it, he was very gruff. He was curt and told us we had to say we want nail art when making an appt which we DID do, but he insisted we didn't and rushed my nails. I had to tell him I was unhappy with it before he hurriedly re-did them. My gel top coat also wasn't fully dried when I left so I had to return to the salon to get it fixed. The final result was a great marble nail and glitter ombre mani but it was an odd first experience. My friend's nails also came out beautifully and were done by Tianna. First time at Medford Nail Bar and won't be back. My boyfriend took me to get a gel pedicure and he got a spa deluxe pedicure with essential oils. This place was easy to find and right in a little plaza with parking. The interior was okay. I'm not sure if I would want to sit next to everyone side by side with little to no personal space, but good thing I didn't get a manicure. Their color selection was great. A lot of my favorite pinks and nude colors! We got to sit right next to each other which was good, but it was really awkward sitting right in front of other people starring at us getting their pedicures as well. Our technicians knew little to no English and couldn't even politely ask which essential oil my boyfriend wanted- instead just shoved the book to choose from in front of him. This pedicure quoted for $60 for an hour long. We got little to 30 minutes. No scrubbing or callus removal involved, which was the main reason why I was there. My gel polish wasn't the best. Woah! Hands down the best experience I've ever gotten while getting a pedicure . I walked in and was given May to do my pedicure . The salon was so clean and changed tools and such. The massage chairs were the best I've ever had, hot stone , oil , scrub, and hot towel and $34 how ?!? She took her time and gave me a blissful long massage that alone I would have paid $34 for. I tipped her $20 it was that good. I'm used to my pedicures being $50 and and boring. This salon was exceptional and will for sure keep my service with the phenomenal prices with the well done work. I went here even though it's very far from where I live, because this is where Adriana (who was previously at Treasured Hands) works now, and she's great. I asked for a dip ombré with multiple colors, similar to one I had seen she did for another client in a photo on their Facebook page. I love the result (see photo)! Don't think I've ever been this excited about nails before. I really appreciated that she would point it out herself when she made a mistake (e.g. used the wrong color) and redo the nail without me asking. A few times that I noticed a mistake she hadn't, she immediately saw it, agreed and redid the nail. She's also very nice to talk to, communicative, creative, and makes good suggestions. Overall great experience. I also liked the ambiance of the salon better, the prices were much more reasonable (I paid $65 + tip for the result in the photo, which given the effort involved, seemed very reasonable), and everyone is more friendly and easier to communicate with.
