Been coming here almost 20 years now. Food is consistent, little to no variation of the dishes since they opened. Pretty sure the exact same cook has been there this entire time as well. Stability and consistency 2 often overlooked details in a restaurant. As for the menu, the Avgolemeno soup, Chicken Diana, Chicken Pandora, Stuffed Flounder, all outstanding. The Spanakopita and Gyro standard items are excellent as well. The white sauce will have you coming back for more. Traditional Greek salad with home made dressing is very tasty. Never had issues with eye rolling, or attitude. Perhaps the customer had something to do with the reaction the girl behind the counter had? Prices are all fair and the only thing I'd have to take 1 star away from is that they usually seem a little short staffed. Weekends can get real busy and they seem to have a hard time getting the orders out fast. Usually leads to longer than expected waits to pick up your food, even when calling ahead. read more

I have been coming here for yearsss! The absolute best in Greek although a little trek. Always fresh greek salad, hummus that is actual hummus, the falafel, eggplant greco and eggplant pita melt are always on point. I will continue to trek over here for a long time to come. read more

Had a falafel dinner platter here and enjoyed every morsel. Been hunting for a Greek restaurant for a long time since moving into Islip. Now I've found one, but unfortunately, they don't deliver. Was told many good things about the restaurant. Had 15 people over , called them to see if they have a web site no they do not, then asked can you fax me a menu . they do not have fax. how about email the lady seemed confused. Called another Greek restaurant looked at there web site $247.00 later we had all our food. They should move with the times instead of loosing business. read more

I have to say that EVERY dish that I've ordered from here has been fantastic! I live in Islip and order from here several times a month. EVERY dish has been great... Good is great. People are really friendly but even calling 45 min ahead still takes forever to get your food. Very slow.

We have been going to Med Express since they opened which I am guessing was the early 1990's. Their food has always been consistently very good. It's not "5 Star" only because my wife is of Greek descent and she has taken me to some incredible Greek places around the US. The staff is pleasant and though usually take out we have stopped in for a quick bite on our way home. Always customers whether it is lunchtime or 3pm. read more

My go to place for Greek food! The gyro meat is to die for and the pita is awesome when it's still warm! I usually get the gyro Greek salad which is awesome but I'll ask for the dressing on the side because otherwise it's too much dressing. When ordering a regular gyro, it is big enough to share between two people but ask for extra yogurt sauce because they usually only give one! read more

amazing food! we were running some errands with the kids around that area and my husband my sister and I decided to eat in a place nearby, we didn't want any junk so we started looking at the yelp app and came across this place! the reviews were great so i decided to give it a try, my husband and my sister were a little hectic to to give it a try until I say the magic word "i pay" because 1 they thought it was super expensive and the other one thought that it wasn't worthy and i was the one reading the reviews and was craving the greek salad with chicken already!. So we went in, the staff is very friendly, they do have a big menu and small menus on the side which makes it really easy to order, i agree with the person that said that in one of the reviews. they have a big window towards the kitchen area so you see when they are cooking your food. My husband ordered the lamb dish which comes with a small greek salad freshly made pitta bread all that on the side and then the lamb cubes big and juicy over rice (they'll ask how you want your lamb cooked), my sister had a lamb gyro which was great too and i ordered of course the greek salad with chicken which came with fresh pitta bread on the side and also a split pea soup (it was good but too much pepper for the kids i couldn't give it to them) with fries and chicken cubes for the kids which were delicious as well. the chicken was well cook but juicy inside and crispy on the corners and the taste... amazing overall we are and got full had leftovers for dinner and didn't spent that much for the really good food! Ate here for the first time yesterday and it was great. This place smelled great even from the parking lot. I got a gyro, chicken souvlaki, hummus, Greek chicken salad and rice pudding. All excellent. I can't wait to go back. read more
