Awful service! Wish I could give it less than one star. Went here with my family and consumed quite a lot. Stayed to eat and was so uncomfortable because we kept getting dirty looks by who I believe is the owner of the place. She then approached us to let us know that next time we should take our food to go since we were "such a large group" and they "lost business" because we were taking over the tables. It's not my fault your place is so small. But don't worry! You won't be getting any of our business anymore! It wouldn't surprise me if there was racism involved in this incident. read more

Definitely my go-to spot for greek food. The chicken was seasoned perfectly, the pita was fresh, the lemon orzo soup A+, the gyros and falafels were delicious! The portions were big and everyone had left overs. The reason im taking a star is due to the front girl. She seemed to be very flustered and was a little condescending and eye-rolley, the person in front of me needed the dressing on the side and it seemed to be a BIG deal. Ordered a chicken souvlaki sandwich which was mostly salad and had 4 chunks of meat in it. I was extremely disappointed in this sandwich, it wasn't anything special. The salad ontop had a oil and lemon dressing on it. My husband ordered the gyro platter. Again nothing special, very basic. This was the least greek, greek restaurant. Little on the pricy side for a gyro. No lettuce on Gyro. They dont "hook it up" either even though I repeat often. Meats Dry...and over all forgettable. Place is a take out joint with only a couple of seats to sit. I would take my business elsewhere considering there are a few other Greek joints close by. Decent Greek take out place. Service is a bit slow because it's often busy so it's best to order ahead. They have minimal space inside to eat if you want to stick around but come lunch and dinner time it gets packed inside. It is a small store front restaurant, but don't let that fool you. The food is delicious, and the staff is very friendly. The portions are generous. My husband and I shared the saganaki as an appetizer and ordered the chicken islander as the main course, both to share. We left full and brought home left- overs. I love this place, I order almost weekly and its always fresh. My favorite dishes are the spinach melt, souvlaki sandwich, and the chicken greek salad. The food is consistently good, they usually do my order correctly. Only once did I ask to have the meat cut up and they wouldn't do it LOL, so I never asked them again. The ladies there can be quite stern. The customer service is definitely hit or miss. So being just a pick up and go place works for them. I would never sit there to eat not even pre covid. It's not welcoming, but then again with the high volume they sell at, I guess they figured they don't really need to be nice LOL If they were nice they would get 5 stars. Shout out to the cooks!! I have ordered from here many times over the years...I have always thought the food was satisfying for having a local Greek place to fulfill my gyro crave when I can't make it to a top choice place of mine, but the terrible customer service I received the other night will make it so I NEVER return. They close at 9pm. Around 8:30 I'm driving home from work (I am local and in the area mind you...) and call in a gyro to pick up. I ALWAYS order a gyro with the gyro meat sliced on the thicker side...any place I've ever ordered from, including here it has never been a problem. So, as I am placing my order the woman taking it keeps saying "WHAT!", "I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU WANT!"...so I repeat...slowly...with an explanation..."I'd like a gyro with the meat sliced on the thicker side please...the gyro meat. Please slice it thicker." She proceeds to tell me they don't do that. I'm sorry, what??? You're slicing the meat off the spit so you can slice it as thick as you'd like...I asked her what she meant...she can't have the kitchen slice it thicker? No. I get annoyed and say forget it...but I REALLY was craving a gyro. So I call back and ask to order a gyro to go. No thick sliced meat...nothing. 2 mins passed since our last conversation, so now it's about 8:37pm. I'm on the way...she says about 10-15mins. At 8:50pm she is calling me (I'm up the street just about to be there) saying where am I...they're closed and they're waiting on me and I need to hurry up!!! First of all you CLOSE AT 9PM!!! SECONDLY, YOU SAID 10-15MINS!!! THIRDLY, YOU DO NOT CALL A CUSTOMER DEMANDING THEY HURRY UP BECAUSE YOU'RE WAITING!!! You're here for your customers and because of your customers....so, I told her she was absolutely ridiculous for calling me and being flat out rude...I told her to keep her gyro and just go home...now, I am in the service industry, and I completely understand how if it's a slow day you just want to go home, or if you've been busy all day and you're tired and want to leave...I GET IT! Passed this place for years and only recently decided to go in and try it... since then I've been back nearly half a dozen times. The food is always fresh, hot and extremely scrumptious! I normally get the chicken souvlaki without the vinaigrette (which is amazing btw!) because I prefer to drench it in their yummy yogurt sauce. I could honestly guzzle that stuff by the gallon! It isn't runny and isn't too thick, it's just right...goldilocks style!!! :-) The other gem here is their greek salad! The feta isn't overpowering, but also isn't bland or tasteless like it tends to be at many places when it isn't overly strong. The dressing is the same way. The perfect compliment to the fresh ingredients they use and not overdone. My girlfriend got a gyro platter last time and the lamb was fresh and crisped on one side just the way we both like it! Yes, I ate almost all of her platter because I'm a glutton. But she still loves me anyway. The rice that came with it was seasoned tastily and very moist. The portions are generous for the price as well. Staff is extremely friendly and courteous as well. I had to take a phone call one day while waiting for my order and instead of letting my food languish on the counter, the young woman behind the counter kindly brought it outside to me when it was ready, which I appreciated greatly. There are a few tables inside as well if you're looking to stay, which I recommend because the food comes out of the kitchen piping hot! I'm so hungry just thinking about this place after writing this review that I'm headed there right now to stuff my face lol. USED to LOVE this place and been going here for at least 10 years and a few times a week, but they must of changed owners and chefs because it has not been the same for at least 6 months. If you knew their food you know it's not the same! So sad. Their dressing and yogurt sauce not the same, the Greek salad completely different now its just generic tossed salad with a couple little blocks of feta. If you ever had it before you would know the difference just looking at it. The chicken used to be so good. Now I don't even know why they bother. Their spinach melt now has disgusting oregano sprinkled on top which is such a strong taste that messing the entire thing up and the frozen watered spinach now in it equally gross! It used to be the same like 3 to 5 different girls/woman who worked there (possible related) and now just young girls so I KNOW it's new owners but they keep denying it. I will be looking for a new Greek place as this food is so not worth the money anymore. So disappointing! Definitely find a different Greek place to eat!!!!! read more

Heard friends raving so I checked it out. Sorta run down looking place with faded art on the wall. I got a gyro that came out with decent authentic gyro meat (compared to the fake gyro meat at a diner) but that was the highlight! No lettuce, yogurt sauce was ok and three randomly chopped pieces of tomato. Considering they have a very small menu, I would expect the gyro to be amazing and it wasn't. Took a while as well and I was the only one there. Update the inside, print nice menus and ask more questions when people are ordering so they know their options. read more

Truly love this place! Have been eating their food since they used to have the old restaurant Aegean east, it was delicious and the food here at this spot is equally amazing. Have known the owners forever and they are so awesome, friendly, and great cooks ! Elaina makes the most amazing split pea, potato dill, Yankee bean, and avgolemono ! Try them all (all soups aren't listed above those are just some of my personal favorites) I usually call before to see what soups they have so I can plan what else to order along with it.. Also, the spanikopita here... To die for... Creamy deliciousness spinach mixture stuffed in phyllo dough flaking everywhere omg. Everything is homemade and fresh! Im got a falafel sandwich aka gyro and it was amazing. It had fresh ingredients. I got it to go because I work at a local hospital near by but when opening the foil I was greeted with an amazing "salad" on top and was pleased with the dressing . This was filling and delicious! I highly recommend this to anyone interested in greek food or even quick delicious food. It was around 7.35 but it was a high quality meal. read more

Salads are always fresh and proteins always good! I have been going to them for abt 10yrs and when I get on a kick I'm on a kick, ordering like 3x/week for a month, lol and that number dbls when I'm pregnant, had 3 children in the past 10yrs, so do that math. They have made 2 minor errors and fixed them above and beyond the error. Customer service is always good and that counts for a lot. I'm writing a review today because frankly it's about time, but truly I went in today and ordered 2 salads and had some stooopid (lol) requests, basically this and that on the side, but keep this on the other salad and xtra of this because I want this held. They made my salads just as requested (eating some now). This is why I keep going. I have always gotten into a squabble or two, three.... with places I frequent for food (it's bound to happen), and I usually return after a cooling period (maybe a yr, depends on how good the food is). Mediterranean express has decent gryo 's love their sauce the place is clean and staff is friendly . The Slovakia is very good the gryo meat was a tad bit dry , however they put way too much onions in there gryo. I would good back and order again however on a Friday night i suggest ordering early it gets busy . read more
