Went here today with my grandma who lives close by. At first it felt a bit stark and empty and we were wondering if it was a place for us. We sat down and took a look at the menu. You order at the counter and then take a seat. We ordered the BLT with onion rings and the party melt with fries. The food came out quick and was nice and hot. My grandma loved her BLT! She loves iceberg on a BLT... she told me multiple time. Lol. My patty melt was just as expected. No frills in the food, but good over all. The worker (may have been the owner) was very accommodating and nice! They mentioned they are known for the BBQ on Saturdays. If I am back in town I would give it a try. Had lunch here a couple of weeks ago and liked it so much we went back the next morning breakfast! They serve breakfast all day. There were 5 of us for lunch, we all had different sandwiches and everyone was very happy with what they ordered. In addition to basic fries as a side, you can get cole slaw or potato salad. The breakfast was also good, reasonable and the coffee was great. The restaurant is very clean and bright and the people are outgoing and friendly! A real bonus for us. read more

Food was lackluster and indoor seating was not very comfortable or inviting. The staff was very nice and welcoming and told us that they had been out here for years with visits from Guy Fieri. However, after all that talk, felt like the food wasn't anything special, a little greasy, and not even super affordable to say hey, well at least lunch was only $10-15 dollars. It's a shame because there's potential here and maybe it was great once before, but has definitely seen better days. read more

I drove by this store front and by chance had the urge to pull a U-turn a try it out - and boy am I glad I did! Writing this before the food coma ensues... I was greeted by Junior as soon as I walked through the door, a very personable and approachable young man standing at the counter. When I hesitated to order, he guessed it had been my first time. He kindly pointed me to their full menu pamphlet along with their featured menu posted on the wall. With so many delicious sounding options, he could see my eyes bouncing from menu to menu and thankfully rescued me from this tough decision. I told him to give me whatever he thought would bring me back to his restaurant and without hesitation, he recommended The Flamethrower. I chose fries as my side but could have gotten sweet potato fries, cole slaw, potato salad, onion rings or soup. Yelpers, when I tell you that first bite made my eyes roll back - wow!! A perfectly prepared roast beef that was more of the consistency of a prime rib sandwich, with a generous layer of deliciously seasoned pulled pork topped with pepper jack, chipotle sauce, salsa habanero and jalapeños...I have no other words than WOW!! I'll admit I pulled some jalapeños off as the heart burn settled in but nothing was going to stop me from finishing that sandwich! I would also certainly recommend this sandwich be eaten fresh at the store as I don't think the bread would keep up with all the juicy goodness from the beef and pork. Hidden behind the auto center, this place looks like it's probably packed during weekday lunch rush. Saturday afternoon it was pretty empty. The interior is pretty boring but clean. The cashier was very helpful with recommendations as the menu was pretty overwhelming- all the sandwiches sounded awesome. We settled on the Cuban to share. We had options for sides, but went with a bag of chips ( not a fan of potato salad or Cole slaw and it was too hot for soup) The sandwich was very good. Served hot off the stovetop (or panini press). Lots of meat. I thought it could use more mustard aioli or sauce of some sort - it was a little bland. It was good, just needed something else. Loved the bread. Went to visit a friend in Cathedral City and decided to grab some lunch. I checked Yelp for a local spot and found Meester Zebra. It had great reviews so off we went. Don't judge this book by its cover it's not flashy at all but you are immediately greeted by the nicest person behind the counter. He reviewed the menu which is posted on the wall and offered up some great suggestions. My group of five made our choices and found a seat after placing our orders. In no time all our lunches arrived and to say we were surprised is an understatement. The entrees were awesome. We had the Cuban, the Tuna melt, a roast beef Sammy and one of the house specials which had multiple meats banana peppers, jalapeño and a special sauce. The sides were just as good. Go for the onion rings they were killer but so were the fries. Anyway, the portions were way filling and as a group decided this is our lunch spot when we visit Cathedral City. Can't wait to try breakfast there sometime or their Saturday BBQ special. The place was clean and the crew was outstanding just like the food. Give it a shot you won't be disappointed. read more

Craving a salad during lunch and I figured I'll try this place since it's so close to work. I ordered a "Chefs Salad" and it was awful . The meat quality and lettuce quality was 2 thumbs down. Description says "mix greens" and there were maybe 4 or 5 pieces of other greens and the rest was lettuce core, yes lettuce core lol, ranch on the side was filled less than halfway ... I tried calling once I got back to the office and was told lettuce is often yellow and changes color and it's normal but if I want to, I can come back and show them my salad and they'll let me know what they think. Ehhh no thanks, he was nice in person but the person on the phone was giving "no refund" vibes. As I didn't ask for one, just called to let them know their lettuce is gross and mostly core. *dramatic sigh* $15 down the drain. Saturday BBQ is the best BBQ I've ever had. In any state. Every time we eat here we hear other people say the same- last time my husband/baby/I ate there, some people said it was the best they've ever had too and they were from Kansas City! This is a hidden gem in the Palm Springs area. It is located in a business park on Perez Road and may be missed by people who just stick to driving down Palm Canyon Drive when looking for a place to eat. Look for the zebra out front as there is no other prominent signage on the building. Nothing fancy, just good food. We've had both breakfast and lunch at Meester Zebra. All the breakfast items were great with good portions. For lunch we had a Cubano sandwich which was loaded with meat and a 3 meat barbeque sandwich which was delicious (they are known for great BBQ). Prices are very reasonable for what you get. We will definitely go back when we are in the area and recommend it highly. read more
