While the food was tasty, service was less than impressive. It was Mother's Day and not terribly busy, but my family of 4 spent two hours there. With kids, service needs to be quicker. Our waiter didn't check on us as much as I would've liked. We ordered 2 pizzas - the buffalo chicken and pacific rim. The former was better imo; the latter rather spicy. My son loved his French bread pizza. For my other son we ordered the chicken club - it arrived cold and he barely touched it. Warmed up at home it was delicious. They should make this a hot sandwich. Also, our waiter didn't deduct our free pretzel bites for the yelp check-in. I was ready to go, so I didn't mention it, but I did leave less of a tip than I otherwise would have. Food was good. We had the Gluten Free option, I do believe was too expensive for what we got but taste was good. My first mellow mushroom experience was in Parker, Colorado. The location in Bowling Green sucked. The vibe wasn't worth the ultra slow food. The server was really nice and helpful. My boyfriend and I went to Bowling Green to see the Corvette factory last week, and looked to Yelp for restaurant recommendations. I'm so happy we ended up at the Mellow Mushroom! The wait for a table was shorter than expected, and we were seated out on the patio. We sampled a number of Country Boy beers, and we got free pint glasses (apparently that's what happens on pint night). I started with a spinach salad (which was very good), and we split a Marley pizza (excellent!). Our server was outstanding (I can't remember her name, unfortunately) - her timing was excellent, as she was very attentive without hovering or being annoying. The whole night was just really pleasant and relaxing, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone who likes pizza and/or beer and finds themselves in Bowling Green! read more

Great pizza! Really fun atmosphere. I go to Mellow Mushroom at least once a week. They have an incredible beer selection which is always rotating. If you like beer, join the Beer Club and you can win prizes whenever you drink so many different kinds of beers. Wednesday is pint night and you can get a glass from the featured brewery. Tuesday is Trivia night which is really fun. I love to get The Capri as an appetizer and the Thai Dye is probably my favorite pizza. They have outdoor seating which is great. It can get really crowded around dinner time and if you order a pizza, it can take a while, as everything is made from scratch, so take that into consideration when you go. read more

So glad we stumbled upon Mellow Mushroom (thanks to a positive mention in another pizza place's review on here)! The fella and I are big MM fans, and although we couldn't find their tap list online, we decided to give it a go anyway. It was fairly quiet on a Monday night, and we sat at the bar with just two other people there. I loved that the bar was so separate from the dining room, and I also love MM's funky, psychedelic decor. Our bartender, Tessa, was so friendly and even shook our hands when we sat down! I'm a cider girl, but the fella was beside himself with joy over the tap list. Not being from around those parts, he was able to get some breweries we can't find in North Carolina and couldn't stop talking about the Cigar City collaboration. We split a small Mighty Meaty (our go-to pie) and it was as delicious and meaty as usual. As we were leaving, an acoustic singer had started, which isn't our scene - bands/singers are usually too loud for us to hear each other or the TVs at the bar - but he was pretty good. Parking is easy in the big ol' lot around the restaurant, and there's a ton of seating between the dining room, bar, bar high tops, and outdoor seating with heat lamps. read more

Mellow Mushroom is by far my best choice for eating pizza in Bowling Green. We started out with half priced hummus with pita bread. The hummus and bread was served warm and fresh. Our appetizer was just a prelude to the pizza. I had a shiitake pizza with a garlic aioli sauce and caramelized onions. The pizza toppings were cooked to perfection and didn't overwhelm the crust. Although it was pricey, I don't mind paying money for outstanding food and quality service. I will be coming back frequently. read more

Yes it's a chain, but it's consistently good! Mellow Mushroom is a safe bet no matter what city you are in. The Bowling Green location is no exception. My fave is the mega veggie. It has lots of vegetables including broccoli, which is not often on a veggie pizza. Favorite app is the muffuletta bread. It is a toasted baguette with lots of olive tapenade.... just yummy. Of course, wash it all down with an agave margarita or one of the many beers. My friends had the banana bread beer, which was featured that night. I don't like beer, but this tasted and smelled just like it's namesake. read more

We were in Bowling Green overnight enroute to Chicago. Read the Yelp reviews and decided to walk to the Mellow Mushroom and do take out since we had our dog with us. We had a small veggie pizza which was excellent. The crust was good, the toppings were good and overall it was excellent. We also shared a regular spinach salad which was also tasty. A good mix of spinach, dried cherries, Apple, and feta cheese. House dressings were great. A real gem. Would recommend to anyone looking for a healthy choice. read more

Beginning of our experience was great we got our seats very fast after we arrived. After we had set down and our whole party of 20 had arrived we ordered our meals very quickly. Sitting after about 30 mins half of our party got there food. The other half of our party (which was the half of the party I was on) didn't get there food till 30 mins later and the others were already done eating. An hour after arriving I finally got my food.
