The first thing you noticed upon arrival is the funky eclectic decor. It's a whole vibe. Once you open the menu the names and the food and drink follow the same scheme. I enjoyed a delicious Kosmic Karma with mozzarella, feta, spinach, tomatoes delicious I also got to try the Jerked Chicken pizza . If you like jerk you will probably enjoy this one as it definitely has the jerk flavor without the heat. The buffalo wings were also very good They're baked instead of fried and come with an ample amount of celery and carrots unlike many place's that give you 2 or 3 measly celery sticks They have excellent drink offerings and at least 40 different beers to choose from. Due to Sam's major incompetence and neglence as a server I never got anything to eat. The manager came up to our table and didn't do my damn thing about it!!! I have been in the restaurant industry for over 20 years now and her actions qualifies her one of the most unprofessional incompetent actions that is performed in a restaurant. unprofessional than that. Madison was our waitress and she was so cool, efficient, cordial, accommodating, and generous (*wink wink) with the refills, even with the icee (shhh, it'll be our little secret, j/k). I thoroughly enjoyed the buffalo chicken pizza but I must admit, the Wild Cherry Icee was the star of the show! Haven't slurped one of these childhood favorites in a looooong time. fun location. plenty of parking. very friendly service. our waiter was very attentive and full of lots of energy and stories. Love that they do have gluten free and vegan options available. I got some sort of spinach salad with vegan feta cheese. (mmm!) I also splurged as it was my anniversary and got a gluten free pizza with dairy free cheese. You can choose from 4 different types of pizza and mine was so so good. Their menu is well marked which i always appreciate. I was able to go online beforehand and know that I would be able to find something to eat. So after my back-to-back-to-back doctor's appointments today without anything to eat or drink cuz I had finished my water and well I don't eat in the morning, I was starving. My last appointment was on 21st Street in North Myrtle, so I pulled out my phone and tried to find a place to either get a bottle of water or something to eat. I found both this huge humongous pizza place called mellow mushroom. My curiosity got the better of me so I checked out their menu they had standard stuff but they also had make your own pizza. And very few places around here have pizza with no sauce no red sauce. So I called them up I ordered my white pizza with seasoned ricotta, black olives and something I can never get when we order pizza as a group, anchovies. It was 4 minutes away from where I was I walked in they gave me a cup of ice with water without question I paid for my order, and within 5 minutes of getting there my pizza was done. The drive home took me about 20 minutes the pizza was at best lukewarm I ate the first two pieces. I was blown away I would definitely give this place five stars for pizza, having it my way, being quick, and giving me a cup of water with ice. If you are ever in North Myrtle you absolutely must try this mellow mushroom pizzeria. As I was researching the address for this while I was making this post I found out there is a mellow mushroom in Socastee just 6 miles from home. The most awesome pizza I've had in a while want to confirm the request was made not only did I have it my way but, the crust was crispy yet soft it was delicious I didn't even save any for the dogs. My parents and I ate here for dinner on a Wednesday in late September. The restaurant was quite full. We were seated at a table immediately. Our server was polite and attentive. We never had to ask for refills. There are a few TVs throughout the restaurant. The night we were there they had sports news on. We ordered the Meatball Trio (3 grilled meatballs with fresh mozzarella on Mellow red sauce with shaved parmesan, basil, and sprinkled with breadcrumbs)) and Garlic Butter and Parmesan Pretzels (half order of 3) with Mellow red sauce and Pabst Blue Ribbon beer cheese (extra charge) for appetizers. The meatball trio was delicious, as always. The parmesan pretzels were burnt and hard in several areas and didn't taste like they did the previous times we had ordered them. The beer cheese dip was good. My parents ordered the Build-Your-Own Pizza (small 10", cheese, pepperoni, ground beef) and I ordered the Red Skin Potato Pie Pizza (Olive oil and garlic base with red potato, Applewood smoked bacon, caramelized onions, cheddar, mozzarella, chives, sour cream and spicy ranch dressing). My parents loved the pizza, but the pepperoni made the slices pretty greasy. They had to blot the pizza to soak up the excess grease. The red skin potato pizza pizza was delicious but was greasy due to the bacon and onions. Overall, we'd definitely return. The food was good as was the service. My personal favorite is the Potato Pie -- an olive oil and garlic base loaded with red skin potatoes, Applewood smoked bacon, caramelized onions, cheddar and mozzarella cheese and topped with sour cream and chives. This restaurant/bar was fun, friendly, fast, and DELICIOUS!! Don't let the fact that it's a sports bar deter you! We had lots of amazing food while visiting Myrtle beach, white table cloth places etc, and decided on a low key relaxed meal for dinner. My friend is vegan, and quite strict about her diet, so we asked about their best vegan, gluten-free, and dairy free options. After them asking the cooks and managers, they informed her of her options. We opted to split the bruschetta, then a salad that had spinach, tiny chopped green apple, raisins, walnuts that had a brown sugar coating, I think mozzarella or some type of white cheese, and I think we got oil and vinegar dressing. Whatever it was, it was very very good!! Then I ordered a sub (came with choice of tater tots or homemade chips) that was loaded with my choice of veggies, and that was excellent as well! I ordered it with sliced avocado (but I did have to ask for more), lettuce, onion, and mayo but it didn't need it because it was just delicious the way it was! I wasn't fond of the dressing I chose anyways when I tasted it. Tater tots are good I just got them plain and added some salt. It's just a fun, relaxed, hipster, sports bar vibe, and a nice relaxed, fun mood to grab one of many many drinks they offer. My drink was a chilled double shot and a sprite and wasn't tiny but perfect. The staff were AWESOME!!!! They constantly were checking and making sure we were satisfied, didn't need anything, and happy with our meals... very friendly and attentive. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND coming into this awesome little place. It sure it's a little Diamond in the rough with awesome food. In town from NYC and literally stumbled onto Mellow. We were going to the place next door and at the last second decided otherwise. What a golden find. Extremely family friendly. We arrived at the location at 835p. They close at 9p. The manager Ryan on staff refuses to seat or serve us. The general manager Jay Slevin did not take our call. We saw people seated just as we came in. Very disappointed by this location. Mellow has been a go to for our family in the past. We are on vacation and now have to find an alternative at an even later time. This is a business that refuses customers. Update: Got a call from the manager the next morning. This was a great find during our vacation in Myrtle Beach. A few family members are vegan/vegetarian and they were able to order DELICIOUS pizzas in line with their dietary constraints. The calzone is huge and really tasty too. Burger was good and Philly cheesesteak was decent, but those who didn't get the pizza wished they'd ordered it, as it's their specialty. DoorDash was used for delivery to my hotel when I ordered, and after my driver changed twice my order finally arrived (an hour and 50 minutes for a 4:20pm order). The food was room temperature and a bit aged and soggy by that time, but I could tell it would have been amazing if I'd have been able to eat it when it was fresh. The pizza and appetizer were still good, but not quite the same reheated in the microwave (and considering it came to $50 with delivery and tip, it wasn't quite worth the convenience. Wife and I went to the Mellow Mushroom on 21st Ave in MB for the first time yesterday. Basically we enjoyed it but I can't score it perfectly. Wife ordered the BBQ chicken pizza, I had the House Special pizza. Both were very good. The dough is quality and fresh, the topping were fresh and abundant. We both enjoyed the appetizer of pretzel bites with a garlic cheese sauce. We both recommend the food without issue. Our drinks were also correct and tasty. Now the reason for the mediocre score. Our server, I don't remember his name, was good. But he appeared to be working by himself. There were plenty of Kitchen staff and food runners. But our poor server was getting his butt kicked taking care of every table in the place. Now props to him, as busy as he was, he got our order right and did his best to make sure he checked on us and every other table in there, the place was damn near full. The man never stopped. I wish I could remember his name, but if you were the waiter working on Saturday May 21, 2022 around 3PM, you did an excellent job. Next negative, the building. The atmosphere is cool, but the interior is dark, tight, and it was hot in there. The AC was on, we could feel it for about 2 min every now and then. But it was so warm in there that my wife and I could not finish our meal, and took the rest home. Lastly, the cocktail menu. The print is so small, even my camera could not magnify it enough to make it readable. My eyes are over 50 and had a very difficult time trying to read the beer selection. Finally had to have my wife read me the selections while wearing her readers. If it were late in the evening or dark outside, it would be more understandable. But 3 pm in May, the building shouldn't be so dark inside. If anyone from management reads this, do something to make it more comfortable inside during the warm weather we have here in SC. Yes we are locals and would like to eat here again. We know most places are having issues hiring and retaining employees, but the server we had on May 21st, needed some assistance.
