Ordered in on UberEats - Decently sized yummy pizzas for a great price. The holy shitake pizza was the winner of the night. Our entire group loved it. The mellow rolls and hot wings were a total miss. There was barely any cheese inside the rolls and no sauce on the wings.

I have been to Mellow Mushroom in both Texas and North Carolina so I was excited when I found out that there's one within walking distance to my apartment in Desert Ridge. Located on High Street, I've stopped by twice for dinner. Both on Tuesdays. One time, I walked. The other, I parked in the complimentary lot. Ambiance (3.5/5): Mellow Mushroom is a chain but I'm a fan of their vibe. Hippie or hipster would be the best way to describe it. It's a large restaurant with plenty of table seating and a large bar (partially indoors and partially outside). Plus a patio. I've sat both at a table and at the bar inside. Service (3.5/5): I've had A+ service on my first visit at a table and mediocre service at the bar (slow and unattentive). So, it seems like it all depends on the waiter or waitress you have. May the odds be in your favor. Drinks (2.5/5): Mellow Mushroom has a full bar (including some craft brews) but I've gone with non-alcoholic drinks on both visits. A sweet tea on one occasion and an Arnold Palmer on the other. They make their Arnold Palmer with Minute Maid lemonade which is pretty much the bottom of the totem pole when it comes to lemonade. And both drinks are $3.79 so pretty pricey for a soft drink. Food (3/5): On my first visit, I had a pepperoni pizza and on my second visit, I had the cheese bread appetizer and the meat lovers calzone (they have a different name for it). I'm a fan of their pizza. It's greasy (just like I like it) and they sprinkle some parmesan and some other magic on the crust which is delicious. Solid, solid pizza. Especially for a chain. The cheese bread is similarly solid with the cheesy goodness you would expect and a marinara dipping sauce. The calzone, on the other hand, disappointed. It had hamburger meat, genoa salami, and another meat but it was very heavy on the hamburger meat. It was huge, which I always appreciate, but a bit dry. So, like the service, a little bit of a hit or a miss depending on what you get. They sent me some coupons by mail which I always appreciate. The prices are a bit expensive across the board for what you get but it's still a solid spot. Especially if you go with a pizza.

I was pretty limited on late night options so I chose this place. It was pretty expensive, it cost me $100 via Grubhub for (2) large pizzas and a salad, th pizzas were pretty good but that was an expensive craving!

This food got delivered to the Mighty Axe. So didn't have to deal with manager or dreary atmosphere. The new Steak and cheese hoagie was very good with lots of meat and veggies. Side of potatoes was good surprise too.

    Pretzel bite and small pizza

I thought it was really good. Pizza wasn't greasy, nice and hot. Staff was attentive and not overbearing. I really feel like it was good and should have a shot. We sat on the patio had the pretzel bite and small pizza

Our service was great! She was very friendly and attentive. I worked at mellow mushroom in another city so was excited to check out a new location. Was kinda disappointed with the food. The toast points were very stale. The actual artichoke dip was very good! The pretzel bites didn't have any butter or parm on them. Pizza was good! Love the holy shiitake pie! Very good happy hour prices! Cute ambiance.

This place was surprisingly beautiful and fun. The music was super good and the food was spectacular. Service was great as food and drinks came super quick. Prompt service! We got the "Buffalo Wings" pizza and a 10" pepperoni pizza, and we ate it like thanksgiving's dinner. It was THAT good. The musical instruments as decoration is very clever because it looks super cool and professional.

My fav hoagies in the world , service is super fast and the staff are very friendly! Ambiance is super vibey and artsy! A must visit bar for their amazing cloud 9 wings, great ambiance and Happy hour that's best in North Phoenix Valley!

Drove 40 minutes from Surprise to get the meal to celebrate a birthday at Mellow Mushroom, planning to order takeout. We arrived with an hour left before closing, thinking we were being considerate by not dining in and ordering to go. Which led to this review. After reviewing the menu and deciding what to order, we were told the kitchen had closed *one minute ago*. Yes, They actually said, "one minute ago," as if that somehow made it better. C'mon, bro. Really? If the kitchen is going to close earlier than expected, at least update your hours online or let people know when they arrive. A little flexibility or customer care would've gone a long way. Their food can be good or I wouldn't work a nearly 2-hour round trip into my week. I'm not even hangry writing this. I just don't want anyone else wasting their time like we did To anyone ordering later: call ahead and double-check their hours, because making a special trip only to leave empty-handed is a huge letdown. At minimum update your hoursif ordering late in the day. I attached photos of why it seemed like they were clearly opened.

There is parking on the street or in the lot. We weren't familiar with the area so it was a bit tricky to find. It is located in the back of a coffee shop. The concept of going through the phone booth is fun. The space inside was quaint and intimate. They have a regular menu and then had a special Valentine's Day menu. I got a nice fruity cocktail that was sweet. I enjoyed it. Everything was reasonably priced. All of our drinks were pretty glittery, it made everything really pretty. My friend got a free glass of prosecco for her birthday which was nice. A good speakeasy to visit. Menu has good variety. Service was great, they ran through the menu with us and was attentive.

The bar setting itself was nice! I truly appreciate the speakeasy feel- walking through a mystery door phone booth was a good welcome to this bar. Small on the inside, but had a classy but casual feel. Since we did the murder mystery there was also a preset menu which was cool. The food was okay, but will be returning back for the drinks more than the food. The murder mystery game was a nice way to get everyone in the bar involved. Essential a real like clue or who done it game. Very interesting but also can be a bit distracting if your goal was to come out and have some drinks and peace out at your leisure. While it is a very cool idea, I feel that more customers would be able to come and go on these days and not be turned out because a reservation was not made. All in all, will return on another night to try more drinks

I've been to The Mighty Axe twice. Ambiance (4/5): This is part of what I love about The Mighty Axe. It has a cabin feel to it. Despite being in Phoenix, you feel like you've been transported to the mountains. There's some seating at the bar as well as some comfortable seating close to a fireplace. The barstools at the bar don't have back support (which is always a con in my book). The music tends to be solid. All in all, a cool spot. And a casual one at that. Service (4/5): The service tends to be friendly, laidback, and efficient. Just like I like it. Food (N/A): I've been on a liquid diet both times, and to be honest, I'm not even sure if they have food. Drinks (3.5/5): Everyone likes different flavor profiles when it comes to cocktails. The Mighty Axe has a solid list, though one that is not super appealing to my taste. Outside of their cocktail list, they have a full bar. The Mighty Axe, if the name didn't give it away, is both a bar and an axe throwing place. While I haven't done any axe throwing, I've checked out the area where it's located (the back of the bar). And there's even one outside on the small patio. Overall, one of my favorite bars on High Street (I live in Desert Ridge so I've frequented pretty much everywhere in the area).

I've passed by Blue Martini many of times. It always seems to be the most hype spot on High Street, a nice entertainment district in Desert Ridge. I finally took the plunge and checked it out on a Thursday night around 9:30 p.m. Parking is easy (and free) on the street, in the surface lots, or the garage on High Street. Ambiance (3.5/5): Blue Martini is definitely a bit bougie and caters to that audience. There's a nice outdoor patio which is where we sat since the weather was beautiful. There's a bar outside and waiter service. I briefly looked inside and there's a bar inside too, lounge sitting, and a dance floor. Blue Martini often has live music or a DJ. Definitely a spot where you can break it down on the dance floor. There's bottle service too if that's your thing. Service (2/5): Talk about slow service! It took our waitress longer than it should have for us to greet us. After placing an order for drinks, we received them promptly. After that we didn't see her again for quite a while. I wanted to order a second cocktail and she was nowhere to be found. Eventually she came around and I placed my order. I decided to close out right then and there knowing that it would take a long time to track her down to close out if I didn't do it right then and there. They also charge two fees amounting to 5%. Not sure what that's all about. Food (N/A): While they do have food, I just had drinks since I was there pretty late. I view Blue Martini as more of a drinks spot, but I can't comment on the food. They have a daily happy hour with discounts on select food items. Drinks (3.5/5): If the name isn't a dead giveaway, Blue Martini specializes in martinis. Beyond martinis, they have a large cocktail list. Plus everything else you'd find with a full bar. The drinks are a bit pricey (it is a see and be seen type of spot after all and you're likely to see old geezers pulling up in Lambos and Ferraris), but I liked the selection. I started off with the Blue Martini, their namesake. It's served with a blue glow stick. From there, I had the strawberry basil martini. Both were pretty good. Not speakeasy quality cocktails but better than your average bar for sure. While Blue Martini isn't really my scene, I can have a good time anywhere. If you're looking to turn up and dance, it's a good spot for that. And it's also elite for people watching.

It's one of the few seats that have back support (which is important to me due to my old man back). Outside of that, it's all barstool seating with no back support inside. Outside, they have a small patio with chairs. That would be another option for me when the weather cooperates. The decor inside is your typical beer bar decor. Laid back. Comfortable. There's a jukebox. A cool place to grab some brews. Service (3.5/5): Two bartenders were working that evening and they were pretty solid. I did have to grab their attention a few times but no biggie. The Whining Pig has daily specials including a beer and grilled cheese combo on Wednesdays. I was curious on the price. They didn't know nor did they find out. That was a miss. Food (N/A): No food for me on this visit as I had dinner prior. They have a small menu, mostly made up of various grilled cheese sandwiches. They have a classic one, a pizza one, and a few others. I'm a dan of grilled cheese so I'll definitely try one out at some point. They also have charcuterie boards. Drinks (4.5/5): Now for the good stuff! Unlike most beer spots, they also have wine and several cocktails. But when in Rome, so I went with a beer flight. You can choose five beers of your choosing from a list of 40 beers or so. While they don't brew their own beer, they have an interesting selection of local craft beers and European ones. The types of beers you're not going to find at your neighborhood bar, including saisons and sours. The flight is served in a pig shape holder which was pretty funny. Flights are always my go-to when they're offered as they allow you to try out a nice variety. Added bonus: Walk down the hallway past the bathrooms and you'll run into Pigtails---a speakeasy owned by the same folks. The loco moco was definitely a group favorite (good burger patty) while the mac salad was probably our least favorite component (lacking in salt and flavor). We walked in and seated ourselves at the bar. The goal was a great beverage and some social chemistry. It took several minutes to be recognized at the bar. After a quick scan, I saw several patrons with a disgusted or malaise look on their faces. The staff was huddled at the end of the bar fixated on themselves. While passing the time, I noticed a menu placard that indicated all day happy hour and a tequila of the day (ask server). Given the initial situation observed, I felt that just getting a pour of tequila on ice was the "safe" bet. Eventually, the waitress made her way over. When asked about the tequila of the day, she scoffed and rolled her eyes. She walked over and grabbed the bottle and simply just showed it to me. No verbal input, no real interaction and absolutely NOTHING but attitude. Everyone else at the bar was offered water, a food menu, and eye contact. Got the pour and promptly ignored until we had to literally flag her down. It was NOT busy. I made a comment about the service under my breath and another couple indicated "they are always slow, but this is excessive".... Basically, the only thing they have going for them is location. The food staff was hopping, friendly, and was verbally apologizing for the smallest delay with food. The bar.......best of luck. Lacks anything but a hard time, and the feeling that you're a burden for the basics like a menu, friendly attitude and some social chemistry. Had better experiences at a convenience store....at 2am.... Wanted to spend more money....left confused and disappointed.

I'm gonna give three stars because the service was great at the bar and the server was attentive outside and quick although she didn't know the menu well. I ordered the cheese plate to split with my children and no one knew what was on it when I asked, but I was later informed that I got a tomato jelly and honey mustard as the sauces. To me a $30 cheese plate would not come with a container of honey mustard so I was not impressed. When I asked what cheeses were on it they told me there was 2 different cheddars. There was no way it was a cheddar it was a very soft cheese. I believe it was a goat cheese. The almonds were probably the best part of the whole platter. My husband got wings, which were very big. He enjoyed those and the sauce, and my other daughter got meatballs, which she enjoyed, but thought they were a little spicy, I find that usually when kids order things that are spicy servers will say just so you know that has a little bit of heat to it to which the waitress did not again, I don't think she was very knowledgeable on the menu in general . For the type of hotel twenty6 was kinda of major let down. Definitely will pass on the next visit.

We each enjoyed a couple of drinks while chatting about life. Sitting at the bar was quick service and quiet, but you can also relax in a plush patio chair out in the courtyard. Next time, we will plan better and be sure to play some arcade games in the new space before it closes at 9!
