Memorylook offers a spacious area, with lots of tables to study and to enjoy their drinks. There's a photobooth and a small sunglasses shop inside the coffee shop, which makes this a great place to hang out with some friends and catch up over coffee. However, I was extremely disappointed in the matcha einspanner. The drink came out milky and when the einspanner settled, my drink was more milk than matcha. I wouldn't recommend this drink but perhaps there are better drinks offered here that I didn't have the chance to try. Overall, this place wouldn't be a spot I would first want to go to, but would definitely recommend this to those who are looking for a nice ambiance to study in. read more

I went to Memorylook on a Saturday morning, the place gets packed so the earlier the better. Inside there are tables, chairs and photo opp spots. There's an outdoor patio as well. I ordered an iced caramel drink. I liked my drink and it was made fast. They put a delicious cream on top. I think I could have an entire cup of cream with caramel. read more

Memorylook is one of many matcha einspanner spots in Los Angeles. The store not only sells drinks but it is also an eyeglass brand. This is one of more popular shops in Koreatown as the patio area was completely jam-packed. [Parking]: Originally I thought there was no designated parking lot so I parked at the strip mall with Yoshinoya a block away. Later I learned that the designated parking lot entrance for Memorylook is on S Kenmore Ave so yes free parking is available. [Atmosphere]: Really nice patio area with modern feel & great 1st date vibe, but I wouldn't want to step outside of the cafe as there's nothing much to see in this part of the neighborhood. In addition, visitors can take picture at the photobooth as well as try out various glasses they have on display. [Menu]: Matcha einspanner is the best seller follow by Matcha Latte. Apparently they serve donuts from Flour Premium Doughnut from Monday to Saturday and crepe cake on Sunday. This place is so cool! It has a lot of outdoor seat sith greenary vibes. In this weather, it is perfect cafe to hangout or work! Their matcha Ein su pener is so great. You must try this if you are not a big fan of matcha. It is not to sweet. Inside of the cafe, there are photo booth too. They also kindly have dog treat too :) They listen carefully to custom orders. I stopped by looking for a study spot while waiting for my girlfriend, who was attending a concert on a Friday night. The café was decently busy, with many people either studying or hanging out in the outdoor area. It was a bit challenging to find a seat, and outlets were either nonexistent or not obvious, which made working there difficult. I ordered the golden mango matcha. The drink was fine, but nothing about it stood out -- pretty standard and not particularly memorable. Overall, the drink quality was middle-of-the-road. Service wasn't particularly noteworthy. The person at the register seemed mostly uninterested, though I won't hold it against them. It didn't affect my experience too much, but it also didn't add anything positive. Overall, it was an alright visit, but I probably wouldn't return, especially for studying. The space was crowded, seating was limited, and the drinks didn't leave a strong impression. I will have to give props to Memorylook's presentation on their einspanner drinks. Although I thought their Matcha Einspanner was on the milkier side, the cream was delicious! However, I think the real star of the show was the Hojicha Einspanner! I have never seen this version of the drink, so I think if you are going to splurge on an $8+ drink, definitely try their Hojicha Einspanner because of its uniqueness and flavor. Service wasn't too shabby. We went around 7/8pm so it wasn't too busy, and they were able to get our drinks out in just a few minutes. There's even a photobooth inside where you can take pictures! I think everyone should try the Matcha Einspanner once, but in my opinion, it was the Hojicha Einspanner on top. read more

Stopped by One Memory Look and finally tried their matcha drinks and desserts. I got two of the matcha espressiers and they were amazing; super aromatic, earthy, and smooth without being too bitter. Easily one of the better matcha drinks I've had in a while. Also tried the matcha crepe cake: layer after layer of thin crepes with cream in between, not too sweet and packed with that rich matcha flavor. It was soft, creamy, and just melts in your mouth. Perfect if you want something light but still indulgent. Service was friendly and quick; vibes were clean and calm, definitely one of those spots you can chill at with a dessert and drink. Overall, a really solid sweet treat if you're a matcha lover. read more

It's almost laughable knowing memorylook used to be the most populated cafe for a matcha einspanner. One of the OGs. We've come a long way since then. There exists so many better spots now. I decided to do a revisit just because. Definitely will never be doing second chances again haha. It tasted like nothing, there was no flavor whatsoever. Not even the cream had flavor. I've been here so many times because the drinks and donuts here are just SO GOOD, and A LOT of parking so makes it really easy. But the bathroom here is just SO DIRTY (and always closed and broken for some reason). There also isn't a lot of outlets and the wifi is really unstable, so not ideal for working, but a good place to meet up with friends with a bunch of outdoor seats. Some of the staff are a bit intimidating but very quick service. read more

I love this cafe, located in the heart of Ktown! Plenty of parking at the back, no need to stress over where to park. The baristas are jokesters, they're super friendly and funny! They make great recommendations and they make great descriptions on what each drinks entails. There's indoor and out door seatings. It's a great place to celebrate any occasions day or night. I was in the area with friends and decided to give Memorylook a try since I had heard some good reviews about it. They have a free parking lot, which I love, especially since parking in LA is almost always paid. The interior of the cafe is trendy and clean with a modern minimalist vibe. They also have plenty of seating, including an outdoor patio space. I got their Hojicha Einspanner and it was delicious. I requested oat milk, and I love that milk substitutes are offered at no additional cost. The hojicha flavor was good, though I did wish it was a little stronger. I also would've preferred it slightly less sweet, but that was partly my fault for not requesting less sugar. The signature cream top was creamy, thick, and delicious. My friend got a Lychee Jasmine tea and I took a sip of hers and I loved it! It was super refreshing, especially on such a hot day. The only complaint I had was that the cup was filled with ice, even after requesting less ice. This cafe is a great place to hang out with friends or study. When I went, I noticed a decent number of people with laptops, so the Wi-Fi must be good enough. The service was really nice and friendly, and when there were complications in the kitchen with our food order, the staff were very apologetic. I'd definitely like to come back here to try their Matcha Latte, as it was out of stock when I visited. read more

One of my go-to's in Koreatown for several reasons: - Lots of seating outdoors with umbrellas - Comfortable cushions and couches to sit - Free Wi-Fi - Restrooms - Friendly service - Yummy einspanners with decaf and alternative milk options - Cafe food like pastries and sandwiches - Glasses! This was an interesting find to be held in Los Angeles, while the ambiance inside seemed cold, it would have been a good place to do some crunch-time studying if you found a spot to sit. The inside included a Photo Booth and various sunglasses that were a part of their services. We came for the drinks but the cafe also had different baked goods that looked SO YUMMY I wish I were hungry enough to have ordered them. My drink, the cocoa matcha forest alone is enough to compel me to return. The drink was sweet, creamy, and chocolatey. I wish I got a size up; I'm pretty sure I finished the drink in 6 minutes. Its flavor profile was reminiscent to Cocoa Puffs. My friends who tend to stay away from matcha tried it and said they liked it! Those who were with me got the einspanner and strawberry matcha which both got positive reviews of being refreshing and creamy. Just what we needed before our adventure in LA. Of course we had to stop in for the Photo Booth which had a bit of a line, but for $10 was so worth it. Two of my friends even bought some of the glasses offered in the store. (Left to right) Haru Matcha, Vanilla Einspanner, Einspanner Matcha. The cafe itself is very aesthetically pleasing. It gives warehouse vibes with seating outside and umbrellas for shade. It's very simplistic which I like and isn't too overstimulating. For the drinks: Haru matcha has such a unique flavor. Just the look of it intrigued me, it's so pretty. It has butterfly pea foam and I've never heard of that before so I had to give it a try! Let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The flavor is like nothing I've ever tried yet there's still that distinct matcha taste. I highly recommend trying it out. Einspanner matcha was very rich and had a deep and creamy flavor. Plus points for this drink because the flavor stays the same despite the ice being melted down. The Vanilla Einspanner was not too sweet and didn't have an overpowering coffee taste. It's a very good go-to iced coffee like a signature Vanilla iced latte. It's classic drink. read more

MATCHA EINSPANNER 5/10: I have seen people post Memorylook's matcha all over social media and I was really excited to try it but unfortunately it wasn't for me. :( I found that the matcha latte itself was grainy in a sense where you could feel a powdery texture after drinking it. The cold foam is good, but compared to other places I've been to, the latte falls short. NOTES-- - The cafe is really open and cute, lots of natural light, and there is seating outside. - Lots of parking available! - There have been a few times where the lines have been extremely long so a good wait time! read more

Always on my journey to discover new matcha spots. Got to make a stop here at Memory Look. I ordered myself the Matcha Einspanner and the Cajun French Fries as a snack. The Matcha Einspanner has this gorgeous green color that I like and it was a pretty strong drink which I also like. The cream top provides a bit of sweetness to it which makes it perfect. It really kept me caffeinated through the night. The French fries were okay it was just something to munch on. In terms of space, very limited seating if you want to study/catch up on some work. Matcha Einspanner (Whole milk, no sugar added). With no sugar added, it was definitely not sweet, but the cream does have a little bit of sweetness to it. The matcha was not that strong. This place is a win for me for two reasons: 1) a cafe with both spacious indoor and outdoor seatings in an otherwise very busy neighborhood of LA, 2) their equally spacious and own (!) parking lot Koreatown can be stressful to navigate, even for those who live in LA. The limited parking spaces and cramped cafes can add to the stress. So this cafe was a respite and almost felt I wasn't in Koreatown. What we ordered: Matcha Einspanner ($8) - matcha latte with their signature cream top. As those have shared, this is really good. They sweeten it of course, but the ceremonial grade matcha still shines through Chrome Latte ($7.5) - charcoal latte with double shot espresso sweetened with agave. It was all right. The coffee doesn't come through strongly. The charcoal is interesting. Americano ($6) - Two shots of Stumptown espresso for $6 is a no thank you. read more

I often look for coffee shops in Koreatown with good coffee and ample seating. Memorylook provides both. It's a great place to grab coffee and work, though the indoor seating is limited, there's plenty outside. A highlight is their own parking lot, especially for electric vehicle owners--the wall is lined with EV chargers. As a Tesla owner, I appreciate this, since the nearest Tesla charger is far away. Here, I can enjoy coffee and work or study while charging my car. The staff are friendly, and the menu offers a variety of drinks. They also serve food; I haven't tried it yet, but it smells delicious. While there's lots of seating, it can get crowded later in the day, making it harder to find a seat. Overall, a fantastic spot to visit. read more

One of the best matchas we've ever had - high-quality, creamy, and not too sweet. We visited Sunday morning around 10:30am and luckily, there wasn't a line when we arrived. There is ample FREE parking as well as EV chargers. We also ordered the Kimchi Fried Rice and Spicy Korean Bulgogi wraps. The wraps were fine - I'd rate them 3.5/4 out of 5. The external and internal ambiance definitely embodies modern minimalist aesthetic. read more

I got the matcha einspanner and my friend the ginger latte. Flavors are so good and very prominent. Low point: how freaking disgustingly dirty this place is. The walls, floors, ceiling, everything is covered in dirt or dust. Truly so upsetting to watch a food container get dropped on the horrifying floor just to be picked up again for use. Memorylook is a cute little coffee/matcha shop in the area. Memorylook has been on my radar for quite some time. While my outing in LA we stumbled upon it. It was a Saturday around 1pm when we arrived. There was a long line but it went by pretty quick. I got a seasonal Haru Matcha which is a limited ceremonial matcha with a floral butterfly pea flower cream top. It was very good and enjoyable. The person I came with got their popular matcha Einspanner latte which they liked. We also shared their creme burlee cream filled donut. It was good but I wish it wasn't so cold. They also had other cream filled donut flavors. Besides matcha and donuts, they also had other caffeinated drinks. For a limited time they also had a haru cloud einspanner and a blue moon espresso tonic. I want to come back and try their matcha with a strawberry foam. The staff was pretty nice and answered all our questions. The drinks also came out pretty quick even though it was so busy. The inside is fairly large with some tables and chairs. They have a huge patio outside as well. There is a lot located in the back but it does fill up then you gotta park on the street. I like that Memorylook as a photobooth inside and sell sunnies as well. It's worth checking out. read more

I ordered the Einspanner Latte, the presentation of it was very pretty and it tasted great. However, prices are pretty high. My coffee was $8 and I've heard their donuts are very good, but when I saw it was $8 for such a small donut I couldn't justify it. Their known for their Matcha but I didn't try it, so maybe that's what brings all the hype! This place used to be really good idk what happened. I get the matcha einspanner and it's just grainy now. There's a lot of better matcha spots in la. I don't really think this place is worth the money. Their food items are also overpriced for how mid they taste. Baristas are really nice though and they have a free parking lot. read more

Perfect place for Koreatown cafe.Best part is plenty of free parking spaces and plenty outdoor seating.They also have indoor seating.Everyones drink was made to taste and did not disappoint.Had a hot matcha tea and request your drink if you prefer extra hotter.They ran out of the crème brûlée donut.Had the strawberry and I enjoyed.Busy but still perfect for group. read more

With ice, the drink only filled to the bottom third line of the cup marking. Clearly, they skimped on the milk. There was also a weird moment when I paid. My total was $15.25 and I paid cash, but I was given $4.75 in change. When I said it should be $5, she seemed confused and asked what I meant. I told her I literally gave you a quarter right now, and she questioned it before eventually giving me the correct change. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and assume it was a mistake. I understand times are hard, but charging more for products that clearly had corners cut doesn't sit right with me. It just comes across like there's no integrity. Clearly the quality and portions are going downhill. I wasn't even planning on writing this review. I was going to stay quiet, but the chocopie really ticked me off. I'm not going to pay for food that skims on ingredients and shortchanges customers by charging more for less, so this will be my last visit.

This is like calling a cut of meat a filet mignon and serving a hamburger. Von's, Ralphs and Albertson's make better cupcakes than this for a fraction of othe price.

I recently visited Memorylook and ordered three drinks: the Matcha Einspänner, their seasonal Matcha Coconut Mango, and an Iced Vanilla Latte with oat milk. The Matcha Einspänner was definitely the highlight. It was creamy, smooth, and delicious. It's on the sweeter side, so if you prefer your matcha less sweet, I recommend asking for no added sugar since the sweet cream on top already brings a lot of sweetness. The Matcha Coconut Mango was good but extremely sweet. I could barely taste the matcha because the mango and coconut flavors were so strong. It was refreshing, but the syrup settled at the bottom, so if you don't stir it properly, you might get a sip of straight mango syrup. Just a heads up! Unfortunately, the Vanilla Latte was a big miss. It had a very bitter, almost stale taste. I'm not sure if it was the roast or the beans, but it reminded me of old coffee. I wouldn't order this again and was really disappointed, especially considering the price. For three drinks, my total was $26, which felt a bit steep. Service was quick and the drinks came out fast, which I appreciated. The space itself is minimal. There's not much indoor seating and what's there isn't the most comfortable. If you're planning to sit and work or study, I'd suggest grabbing a seat outside since there's more room and a better setup. Overall, I feel like Memorylook is a bit overhyped. I recently visited this matcha/coffee place because it was highly recommended on social media. However, I have to say that I was quite disappointed, and it did not live up to the hype. First off, the line was ridiculous--at least 30 people deep, and it took us 45 minutes just to get to the counter to order. The fact that only one barista was working was ridiculous for the number of people waiting (not the worker's fault--management's fault for sure!). While the atmosphere of the coffee shop was pleasant, with modern decor and cozy seating, the matcha+coffee itself was quite disappointing. Another thing that bothered me was the lack of a menu to look at before getting to the counter. It made ordering difficult and slowed the process down even further. To make matters worse, they were also selling cheap quality sunglasses for a whopping 150 dollars. Seriously, who would pay that much for such a low-quality product? Finally, when I finally got my drink, I have to say that it was nothing special. Sure, it looked great in photos, but it wasn't worth the long wait. I was really disappointed that the coffee didn't live up to the hype. The quality of the drinks did not justify the cost. $9 for matcha and $8.50 for a latte? Overall, I wouldn't recommend this coffee place. The long wait, lack of menu, overpriced sunglasses, and mediocre coffee just weren't worth it, and I do not think it is worth the hype it has been receiving. -- read more

We started with the matcha einspanner and einspinner lattes, and the drinks were beautifully presented. It was a refreshing way to kickstart our meal. Moving on to the food, we ordered kimchi fried rice. It was packed with flavor and the combination of the tangy kimchi, spam, and perfectly cooked rice was nice. Next up, chicken and waffles. The chicken was crispy on the outside, full of flavor, and juicy on the inside, and the waffles were fluffy and delicious. It was a balance of sweet and savory, and we couldn't get enough. We indulged in the strawberry cream and creme brûlée donuts. The strawberry cream donut was light and fluffy, with a burst of fresh strawberry flavor. The interior layout is very design-oriented, simple and retro. You can take pictures easily. It is the kind of place you don't want to leave once you sit down. What surprised me most was their Einspanner series, especially the vanilla and matcha flavors! The Vanilla Einspanner has a rich and smooth milk cap, and the sweetness is just right. Theres a limited number of outlets available, which can make it challenging to do work there. When it comes to their drinks, I highly recommend trying the Matcha Einspanner. They have the perfect level of creaminess that will surely delight your taste buds. The matcha is strong and not bitter! And it doesn't taste too milky. On the other hand, the Cocoa Matcha Forest, while sweet, lacks the prominent matcha flavor that I was looking for. It tastes more just like chocolate milk. If you plan on visiting, make sure to arrive early. I went at 1 pm and found that all the pastries were already sold out. While it comes with a bit of a price tag (around $7), it's in line with the current cafe pricing trends. I attempted to organize a group coffee order for work through Uber Eats and Postmates, but my order was canceled twice. It seems like Memory Look may not participate in food delivery services, or perhaps they weren't prepared for a large order on the day I attempted. If you're interested in trying their offerings, it's advisable to visit the store directly. Fortunately, there's a small parking lot behind the store. Wow, what a hidden gem! From the exterior, you wouldn't expect this place to be a coffee and tea shop. My sister actually brought me here, as she's been wanting to try it for quite a while. Memory Look is renowned for its signature coffees and matcha offerings. I decided to try their Einspanner latte, and I was blown away - the combination of sweetness and coffee flavor was truly amazing. Regrettably, my sister's drink was akin to a regular juice soda :( On the bright side, the outdoor ambiance is absolutely perfect for socializing with friends, tackling work tasks, or studying. If I were still in school, this would likely be one of my favorite spots. The parking situation isn't entirely clear, but we managed to find metered street parking in the front. Memory Look Cafe in Koreatown on Olympic was a great surprise. The space is much larger than expected with plenty of seating inside and a big outdoor patio, which makes it easy to relax or hang out for a while. I ordered the Einspanner latte with vanilla syrup and it was excellent. The presentation was clean and the flavor was right on point. The foam on top was creamy and well done, and the coffee itself tasted balanced and smooth. Having worked as a barista before, I can confidently say the coffee here is very well made. Service was friendly and attentive, and parking in the back made the visit even easier.
