This is a charming little spot tucked away in a residential area. It doesn't have a lot of room inside, but there's a few tables and there is outdoor seating. But you're not coming here for that. The sign outside said BBQ and that got my attention. There's only a few BBQ items, but that's ok. I got the #2 Korean BBQ beef sandwich. It's $18 before I added fries, normally comes with a salad. While it was tasty, I found the amount of meat to be a bit small for what I paid. For that price you can get a lot mor at other places. The fries looked homemade and were the star of the meal. I'd probably give this place another try, but the prices do make we wary of the value. I get that times are tough, especially for a small family run place, but with that kind of price and not even including a drink seems kinda crazy.

Last time I was here was years ago. They changed ownership earlier this year. It's a very casual bbq place with some tables and benches. It's all ordered at the counter. I tried the bbq plate with hot links and pulled pork with a salad and garlic bread. You can get combo plates with different sides. They also have a lot of Korean bbq options from the original owners who were Korean. Overall a simple place with good bbq. I like their sauce which is sweet and a little tangy. Salad was fresh ingredients good. It's not necessarily a good place for a quick meal because it can take some time for your order and they get busy at lunchtime. I saw a lot of takeout orders.

I'm new to Menlo Park and thought I'd stop by and try their Korean barbecue and I'm glad I did! The chicken teriyaki and beef bulgogi was tender and tasty! I also enjoy how fresh the greens were and how lightly they tossed the dressing on salads and rice was made to perfection! There was a young man there that gave me a complementary kimchi - I did appreciate that ! I finished the entire entree and will for sure be back ! Thank you!

Came here at 12:30PM. Parking is tight at that time. Seats were only few. All are outdoor and that time it was pretty hot. We managed to get a spot with a shade. Ordered bibimbap with beef(was not able to take a photo i was gery hungry lol) I must say their bibimbap is very tasty. Very good! Even the meat. Veggies are seasoned nicely. Meat is very tasty! I decided to take home short ribs. Its a little pricey. But I must say worth it. I only saw two people operating. They're friendly. Self service when done juat put in the bin where they collect dirty dishes.

I decided to eat at Menlo bbq. No, it's not exactly easy to know why this place is so good. I had the bulgogi, purple rice and some fries. Around 18 bucks. Quite a few customers on a cold gloomy day. Well, cool for California. I talked to the staff, very friendly. I told the chef that I hadn't been there since I first got to Palo Alto 30 years ago. Well +- years, wouldn't want to make a mistake. The cook definitely found it humorous. Back to the Bulgogi. Nicely seasoned; nice charred flavor; great fries. 18 bucks, high but these are inflationary times. I loved the ambience; will cut the years for the next time by at least 50 percent . I left happy and with the memory of great marinated beef.

So good, this delicious restaurant had a generic sounding name, it should be called "menlo Korean bbq". Ate here for the first time with some coworkers, the bibimbap bowl was so good I keep thinking about it. I got the spicy pork version and the meat was good as well as nice fresh sides with good Korean flavors. Will definitely be back to try some other kbbq flavors.

Nice presentation, especially for to go!!!

Seriously, the best to go food presentation!!! (see my pic). I ordered the Korean BBQ with Bi Bim Bap. The beef was between okay and good, it was something about the flavor. What I really enjoyed here were all the sides!! The veggies were fresh and well flavored, I even ate the veggies that I don't usually care for like the cauliflower and sprouts. Overall a good and satisfying meal. We called a head to order, it only took about 20 minutes. They have their own parking lot and prices are fairly reasonable. I will definitely try this place again!!!

Ordered some lunch here on a Monday and their kbbq plate was really satisfying! Spicy Chicken Plate Very skeptical getting chicken kbbq. *bc chicken is not an order for kbbq ayce since it tastes forever to cook! So I've rarely had it.* Anyways, this was super yummy and the chicken was tender and flavorful (sooo much better than Gen takeout btw). It comes with purple rice and salad which is a plus! * Can also add some other yums like fried egg, kimchi, and potato salad to get more food fixings *dont forget to get their gochujang vinaigrette sauce

Mid week brunch meant a quieter atmosphere and open seating. After perusing the menu we ordered at the counter before sitting at a table after picking up utensils and water. We ordered Fambrini's Breakfast, Brie & Mushroom Omelette, Crab Omelette, and shares the Lotus Biscoff Pancakes. Everyone loved their egg platters. The eggs were perfectly light and fluffy. I generally avoid omelettes getting scrambles instead because restaurants tend to overcook the eggs. Our dishes were prepared with quality and flavor in mind. I personally had the crab omelette and left no crumbs behind. The potatoes were well seasoned and wish I had enough room in my tummy to finish them off! The drip coffee was bold and delicious not watered down at all! Finally, we shared the 2 stack biscoff pancakes for a sweet finish. The pancakes were bouncy with biscoff sauce and a mound of whipped cream. This was mouth wateringly delicious. I don't have much of a sweet tooth but this was so yummy. This isn't a traditional sit down service but counter staff were friendly and efficient. There is a small parking lot off to the side and there is indoor and patio seating. Come by for a meal and you won't be disappointed! I wish I lived closer so I could taste the rest of their meal. Kudos and thanks for an awesome meal!

But yesterday the regular host wasn't there and we were told they were busy and we had to sit at the counter or in a booth because they didn't want to put us the two of us at a table for four (there were two tables available). We waited for nearly ten minutes and when I asked again if we could sit at one of the tables was almost rudely told no, they were busy. So we left and went to Joanie's on California Avenue. They were also busy but immediately seated us and we had a much better lunch. Sometimes it's good to change things up as we'd forgotten how kind and attentive all the of the staff are at Joanie's and how much better the food was.
