Merge cafe replaced Dad's deli in the shopping center next to Walmart, near the Mail and More. It's a cafe so the emphasis is on drinks. It doesn't have a large menu but their bulgogi banh mi is excellent. Get it with the jalapeños. I also liked the peach boba tea. Didn't realize they had fruit jellies. Next time. Will have to go back for bingsu. read more

yum! This might be the only banh mi cafe in Stafford and they make really great, authentic bahn mi sandwiches. For my coffee they also offered almond milk as an cows milk alternative which was perfectly inclusive for those of us who don't drink milk. I was pleased that they had contactless payment, respected social distancing in their table placement, and everyone wore a mask to help stop the spread of Covid! It's located right next to the Walmart and I stopped by to get dinner before I head back to my place. This cafe has vegetarian/vegan options as well. I had bulgogi banhmi with jalapeños and had Taro milk bubble tea (honey tapioca ball). I think it's the best Asian/Korean sandwich in stafford area. If you are tired of subways, Mikes, and other place... give this a go. The bread wasn't soggy and the balance was good. The interior was clean and neat with kpop/rnb in the background. I have been here more than a dozen times and have NEVER been disappointed...and am Boba Boojie! I've had Bubble tea from all around the country (yes I am an admitting addict) so I know good Bubble tea. This place is one of my favs! The owner and staff are ALWAYS kind and courteous. I am so happy that Merge Cafe opened their second location next to Walmart! My favorite sandwich is the grilled chicken banh mi. Their boba is cooked to perfection and I love how they allow me to mix my drink flavors. I recently tried the shaved ice dessert and I am in love! There are 4 flavors: strawberry, mango, green tea, and coffee. The strawberry on is delicious! It's strawberry shaved ice topped with fresh sliced strawberries, corn flakes, mocha, cheesecake bites, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream drizzled with strawberry syrup. This is my new favorite cafe in Stafford! I'm so so glad that they opened a new bubble tea place here (by far the best one in town). I used to work at a boba place and am a bit of a boba connoisseur and this place is definitely comparable to the boba places in NOVA, etc. I got the peach green tea with bubbles and it was refreshing, while the bubbles were perfectly chewy and sweet. Also, the inside looks nicely renovated. Its a nice place to catch up with friends or even do some studying. I'll definitely come back to chill and try their sandwiches in the future. Outstanding bath mi sandwiches. I tried the bulgogi bath mi a few weeks ago and was very impressed with the warm, toasted bun, fresh meant and beautifully marinated, crunchy daikon radish and thin carrot slices. The bread is large but they core out part of the doughy part and fill it with meat and veg so you're not so stuffed with bread at the end of a meal. 2 halves can make 2 meals for a light eater and a healthy lunch for one. I asked my friend if she tried them yet but she had not, although she heard many good reviews. So as a thank you for helping me with a home renovation I wanted to bring lunch to her entire small business staff. I called Merge and spoke with Danny about ordering a platter of various sandwiches. Merge does not advertise catering but Danny was happy to comply and he made 2 large platters of 16 sandwiches cut in half, for a total of 32 large halves. We also ordered various bubble teas and fruit teas and had ourselves a happy little party. Merge is very clean and tidy, the people are happy and friendly and they out of their way to accommodate a large order, but I did call a week ahead and reconfirmed the day prior. We will definitely be back to Merge. read more

That said if you've never had a Banh Mi sandwich, you have to try the Banh Mi sandwiches at the merge Cafe! The best part is the Korean twist, Bulgog--beef or porki! I was excited when I heard a place with banh mi sandwiches because I had tried them in Texas this summer. As far as the Merge ones go I wish I had pictures to post with it, but I ate my food so quickly after the first bite I couldn't put it down. My friend and I got a beef and pork banh mi sandwich, they were both fantastic.
