My husband and I were excited to try this place. We ordered to go because we didn't feel comfortable eating there. You get weird vibes. The food tasted good but my husband and I got so sick from eating here. We were down for two days. I was also a bit surprised by the prices. We ordered a side of rice and beans to try them and you get the smallest scoop that definitely isn't worth what you're paying. I had dinner here with my girlfriend on a Sunday evening. I got the fish ceviche, we split the mixed seafood rice, and my girlfriend got a couple tacos. Everything was absolutely DELICIOUS and it was plenty of food for us. The seafood tasted fresh and everything was made fresh to order. They served the meal with 4 delicious salsas meant for the main course. The chips and "table salsa" were also delicious. We tried the house margarita with a spicy tequila - also excellent. None of the generic gross margarita mix, but rather made from scratch with agave syrup. Our server was also the owner and she was super cool. She had excellent recommendations for us as well. Afterwards, the other owner/chef came out and chatted with us for a while. They explained that their food is more Baja-style, and we definitely noticed the different flavor profile. Mexico Magico is a solid four stars, in my opinion. It's a good sit-down restaurant where you want a plate of Mexican food, not a quick bite. My wife and I visited this restaurant about two weeks ago and got a feast served to us. We are both big fans of aguachile, and when searching Yelp, this restaurant came up. The serving they provide is plenty for a table of 2-3 and comes with crackers. I ordered the carne asada plate, which comes with beans, rice, and grilled veggies. I thoroughly enjoyed my plate and thought it was a generous serving. My wife got three different seafood tacos, and she enjoyed them as well. The service was great. Our waitress was very polite and attentive. She was always checking in on us and if we needed anything else. The only negative I could think of was where we sat was close to the speaking. It was a little loud for conversations, but that could have easily been fixed if we moved to the other side of the restaurant. Mexico Magico is in a small strip mall next to a market and Sonic. There's a small amount of parking, but I'm sure there is street parking as well. read more

Also, they did sneak a 20% tip because my table had 6 people, but three of them only ordered a drink to say hi and left when no one stopped by the table for refills or orders. We were the only table in the restaurant by the way. This is the first bad review I would spend time on because we were so disappointed. We were craving camarones cucaracha...they were no good. It's nestled in a small little business corner next to a latin cafe that also looks delicious. I ordered a coctel de camarón, my husband ordered the plato de ceviche, tacos especiales and I added green aguachiles. Everything was absolutely tasty, fresh and like the kitchen is ran by some amazing tias that don't play! The staff was attentive, kind and she brought out everything we could possibly need before we had the chance to ask. ALL. THE. SAUCES! I also had a Paloma and yum yum yum sooooo good and refreshing. Definitely a new local favorite place! Sorry not a lot of photos but we inhaled everything as soon as it came out. No take out boxes here baby. Come and eat here- we need this place to never ever close! A humble, diamond in the rough that put their hearts into every plate and reminds you of good authentic home cooking! The owners are very friendly and will treat you like you're a part of their own family. The colors of the restaurant are so bright and joyful. I ordered the fish tacos, and to say the least, they were one of the best fish tacos I've had. According to the owner (who was very friendly and cool), they took over the place 1 year ago and totally up'd the quality of food to bring fresh seafood for the mariscos! You can taste the freshness of the ingredients here, I got a shrimp coctel and the ceviche which were amazing! The shrimp was sweet and had a good fresh bite, no fishy odor and very fresh. With plenty of avocado it was such a treat. The ceviche was the same, very fresh and just perfectly paired with some chips. Being from CA, I've had good seafood and this place is a gem.
