Wife and I went there at the urging of our daughter who visited Cabo earlier this year. Wow the food was fantastic. We got the tostadas as an appetizer and they were wonderful. Then we got the seafood platter for two while pricey changed my life! There was so much food we couldn't eat it all and took a bunch back to the hotel for lunch tomorrow. We really enjoyed this place. I was so hungry I didn't take a picture of the food, sorry. From the moment we walk in to the moment we left everyone greeted us and was kind. We order steak with shrimp and veggies which was delicious. We also had chips with salsa and guacamole along with 3 alcohol beverages. The bill came out to $90 for a party of two, we feel it was worth it. Atmosphere was calm. I highly recommend this place. Not quite possibly but actually the best fresh Mexican food in the Cabo San Lucas area, bar none! This restaurant has a farm a few miles away where they cultivate their own vegetables and they also work with the fisherman and everything else in the area to bring you the freshest food ever and it shows! You can eat it in many places in Cabo and still not have really fresh ingredients but this place brings fresh to the table every time! When we visit Cabo, we frequent this place often! Usually three times per visit in as little as five days! My husband had a sea bass dish that was so fresh and my son ordered the strip steak with the chipotle sauce and both were excellent and the vegetables were so crispy because they are that fresh! One of the coolest things is, upon entry, you walk through various rooms of wares from local artists. Simply amazing! Once through those rooms, you enter into an open air restaurant with such flare and ambience with their music and such that you will want to return again and again, as we do! It's a must visit when you are in Cabo! Last note, I always love a restaurant where I can find some lady in the front and watch her make the homemade tortillas! read more

Deserves the hype; definitely worth going to. Gorgeous interior that just keeps going and going, friendly staff, and delicious food. We shared a strawberry margarita (definitely large enough for two!), chicken tacos topped with their yellow mole (that particular combo isn't on the menu, but they were happy to put it together for us after we sampled the yellow mole, fell in love with it, and decided we wanted an appetizer that festured it), the carnitas, and the tamarind adobo costillas. All were so, so good. I literally licked the bones clean, and then my fingers. For dessert, we ordered flan (I LOVE flan, so I was naturally looking forward to dessert the whole meal). Unfortunately about half the slice was grainy, which was pretty disappointing, and is the sole reason I'm giving this place 4 rather than 5 stars. Oh well. I should also note that this place is SUPER kid/baby- friendly. Example: when I walked into the bathroom with my 1-year-old in tow, the bathroom attendant generously cleaned the changing table for us, entertained my daughter while I changed her, and then snatched up and disposed of the dirty diaper the second I put it down. Yes, she has a cup out for tips (which I absolutely went back and visited), but that was really above and beyond. A real bummer about the flan, though. An otherwise perfect dinner! Mi Casa was our first meal out and with it being Cabo, I was expecting so much more than the Mexican food back home. Sadly I was underwhelmed with our dining experience here. Cocktail de Cameron Acapulco - Basically a shrimp cocktail. I did not care for this. I'd describe it as shrimp in a watered down ketchup sauce. Camarones al Aguardiente - The menu read "sautéed Baja shrimp flame broiled with a garlic-guajillo-tequila sauce". It sounded so good. I was expecting a dish with complex flavors. It was far from that. The shrimp was over cooked and the sauce was salty with no depth. Tacos de Camaron al Pastor - This was hubby's dish. This was actually decent but still nothing to write home about. The most annoying part of our dining experience was the number of vendors that stopped by our table. I suppose most of it is fun if you have kids in your party, which we did. First there was a clown that made balloon hats for everybody. Then a photographer came by with sombreros and took pictures which they try to sell to you at the end. A mariachi band came by and played limited music by request. Basically anything you could think of to milk a few extra dollars, Mi Casa had it. The last entertainer was a guy with 2 canaries that pulled fortunes from a box for each person in our party. I'd say that was the most unique and most fun. If you end up in the same situation as us where you're hit up by every entertainer, I'd try to politely decline all of them except the canary man. read more

We read a lot of the reviews before going here and I was a bit skeptical. The last thing I wanted was to be hassled at dinner by mariachis and balloon animal vendors while I am trying to have dinner. But, I was pleasantly surprised. Is this some out-of-the-way, hole-in-the-wall restaurant gem that no one has discovered? No. But is it a tourist trap that has "sold out"? No. Sure, it has a gift shop, but this place is rustic, charming, the people are delightful and the food and drinks are tasty. This place is especially great if you are dining with children who can't sit still for a full meal. There is so much for them to see in the gift shop, and our kids spent a lot of time with the "tortilla lady" who conversed with them in Spanish and taught them how to make tortillas. Awesome. You simply drop a few dollars in her tip jar. NBD. The place probably gets more raucous in high season, but there were no balloon animal vendors, etc. There was a mariachi band, but when they came by, we just politely told them 'no thanks' and they moved on. There was a 'bathroom attendant' (who was probably 75 or 80 y.o.) who just opened the door and expected a tip. But if you don't want to deal with that awkwardness, just use the front set of bathrooms in the gift shop. NBD. The food was AWESOME. So fresh and tasty. Again, was this the most authentic Mexican food in the world, no. But was it 10x better than the hotel options, YES! Drinks were also strong and good. Would def go back. read more

Really, really good authentic Mexican food. Every restaurant we had been to so far in cabo had LONG service, but this place was the better out of the ones we had been to. What I love about this place: decor, cute little shops, uniqueness, and authenticity. Price is a little high, but I'm happy to say the quality of the food did not disappoint. Instead of the typical chips and salsa most Mexican restaurants offer, this place brought out GUACAMOLE, pico de gallo, a variety of salsas, and cheese. And holyyyy queso that cheese was so gooood!!!! This was all put together inside homemade tortillas. Delicious. I ordered the mole and the sauce was so freakin' good. I could taste the hint of chocolate and they were very generous with the sauce that went into the plate. 35 different ingredients go into this dish. The rice wasn't as well cooked as I had hoped, but the overall dish was amazing. The quesadillas looked pretty good, would probably try that if I were to come again. The decor of the restaurant is nice and the drinks were pretty good but my food was very disappointing. I ordered a mixed grill for two and they brought this scorching hot grill To our table with the already over cooked meats on it. This grill was gigantic and it had flaming hot charcoal in it. I got so hot that I had to take my shirt off in the restaurant. I had them take the grill away after about two minutes but the meat was so over cooked and in edible. I complained to the waiter and he could care less and did nothing at all to help the situation. He didn't even deserve a tip in my opinion but slapped us with a $35 automatic tip bringing our bill to well over $200 for two people. Do yourself a favor, go someplace else. read more

Came here for dinner and was not disappointed. Had delicious enchiladas and pescado zarandeado which I highly recommend. Their tortillas are made to order onsite and are served hot and fresh! However my favorite part about Mi Casa was their art. Inside the restaurant they have rooms filled with handmade art from Mexican artists available to purchase. The first thing that you can say about Mi Casa is that it's a real looker. Tons of trinkets and hand painted everything gives it a massive "authentic" feel. Strong skull folk art grabs a lot of attention here, and is played on by a young lady walking around taking pictures with you (for $$). Very cool courtyard with a mango tree growing in it, the restaurant is like being outdoors in almost every seat. I came here on a reservation made by Jaime R. for our first night in Cabo. The first thing I did was get the menu to order drinks. Second, I pulled out the calculator (app) and asked their exchange rate. Just before I ordered my drink, I pulled my jaw from the nicely decorated table. Close to $15!! Let's just take a break here and state that everything in this place is EXPENSIVE! So, Got my drink and ordered the filete a la Veracruzana. Very nice sea bass fillet in a tomato/pepper/caper/onion sauce. This was definitely the highlight of the night, it was everything I could have asked for, and it was worth the price. It is the sole (hehe) reason that I can consider giving 3 stars!! Everything else, unfortunately, fell short. On the food front, chile relleno was tiny, not well stuffed, and not well breaded or sauced. Rice and beans were very plain, and a multitude of other dishes were "forgettable". Service wasn't so great either. Drinks were slow to come out, tortillas (especially the flour) took much too long, and our server seemed to be easily perplexed. If you're looking at this location for a nice dinner in Cabo, I would suggest that you ask your concierge for a menu if possible. Check out the prices and decide if it is in line with your night. I had seen this place online, so on our first night in Cabo we decided to check it out. It honestly was pretty good and prices were pretty cheap. I had the 4 different tamales, and my friend had some tacos. We were both really pleased by our first meal in Mexico. There were some Mariachi coming around each tables and playing different songs. The atmosphere alone is worth a visit. The charming storefront has all kind of charming gifts. There is a bar right by the front door just in case you were foolish enough to not make a reservation (like me). The margaritas are strong and the service is great. The place is deceptively huge with an open and airy feel. My wife and I ordered the 4 tamales appetizer (achiote, cheese, mole, and verde) and OH MY GOD WERE THEY GOOD!! We yelped this place and so glad we did. You know the place is gonna be good when you are greeted as soon as the taxi cab rolls up. We arrived 10 mins before closing, but didn't seem to bother anyone. We were promptly seated and greeted by our server. Our server was very personable. He even gave some recommendations, which was nice. Our appetizers came out super fast and was super good. Freshly house made guacamole was delicious and paired up with freshly house made tortillas. Okay food and beyond awful service. Tonight I'm not sure if the restaurant was busier then expected but we received lackluster service. For two people with appetizers we spent $120 and felt we were the least priority In the entire place. Every table around us had a candle light.... not us. Every table around us received chips and salsa.... not us. We saw our sever for a total of 3 times... once for the greeting, once for the order and once for the check. Service can make or break a dining experience and unfortunately it broke it for us. We ordered the Tamale sampler, seafood soup, and seafood sampler and the food was A+ and beyond delicious and would recommend, I just wish we received the minimal level of service you would expect. Overall the level of service really broke this experience for us, I would have rather ate of the marina and felt appreciated then eating at Mi Casa. I'm sorry but this place is NOT all that I was led it to be. The service was awkward and they acted as if they were surprised we were there. The menu states they have vegetarian options, but when asked about them( in Spanish) we were told we have salad( in English). It was a weird experience to have the server act as if he didn't speak Spanish despite it being Mexico and I am speaking to him in Spanish. Am I missing something here or did you just assume I was unable to speak Spanish despite the fact that I was speaking to you IN SPANISH? I know a lot of tourist can't speak the language but that wasn't the case with me. Seems rather insulting. The worse part was after sitting in the blazing heat and humidity, after being lied to about the facility having air conditioning, ( they thought it was cute to laugh and ask if we heard the joke about Mexican air conditioning, while we sat with seat pouring down our face in 80% humidity, well let's ignore that and focus on the fact the food was GROSS! The food tasted as if it was made with a can of Campbell's soup, and when I asked how the sauce was made he said tomato, and salt. Really? No spices? Well it definitely tasted how it sounded. The drink, enchilada sauce and habanero sauce was all the same color, and when we requested chips and salsa they brought out tortillas and pico de gallo. I'm not sure what happened, but I walked quite a ways to get to this location after it being recommended as the most authentic restaurants available and was left wondering what less authentic restaurants are like. After eating one of the enchiladas and pushing the rest of the food around my plate in an attempt not to offend someone, we were given a $47 ( in US dollars) bill for 2 enchilada plates and 2 margaritas. We paid $12 in Puerto Vallarta for a similar order that actually tasted amazing. Won't be returning, and won't be surprised if they are out of business soon as they only had one other customer, and they had similar complaints. It's sad when you can find more authentic Mexican food at better prices in California than what we found at this location. read more
