Andres (chef) and Yari (server) ROCK!! I had business in Mt Pocono and decided to dine at this eatery. The place doesn't look like much but parking lot was full. I ordered shrimp chimichangas and it tasted fresh and delicious; even the rice was fluffy and light and had just the right amount of salt and refried beans were great. A Tecate cerveza completed the meal. The place is located right off Route 611. $16.95 for my entree was well worth it. read more

We received a small, complimentary basket of nachos with 2 dips, which was nice since we didn't order appetizers. Food arrived rather quickly even as the lone waitress had to manage all the tables by herself. When I first went here I was weary because it was in the same complex as a a run down motel but when I went inside, there was a clean, well decorated dining room. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. I ordered tacos and absolutely loved the taste. They have a very nice menu with all of the Mexican classic dishes and they are truly authentic. This is a great place in the Poconos to have a great Mexican meal. read more

This is our second visit here, definitely deserves a review. Driving up you're a bit taken aback by the surroundings, but don't let that deter you! The food is delicious and plentiful and the drinks are not bad. The prices are good and the service is great! My mom and oldest child had the Pollo ala plancha with rice and beans and they loved it. It's true that the restaurant is inside an old hotel but when we came inside, we fell in love with the decoration and music. We got bunch of food to try and most of them were very good. I do recomend the mexican shrimp, the sauce was so delicious. The reason why I took 1 star off was the beef and pork from bandeja were a little bit dry but everything else was great. read more

I completely agree with the other reviewers. This place is a hidden gem located in a scary motel parking lot. DO NOT LET IT SCARE YOU AWAY! It was amazing! We got a few things on the menu: Apps: Mexican Shrimp - A MUST eat. Recommended by the waitress. Nachos (with beans on the side) - Another MUST EAT. I've been craving these since I got home Dinner: Tacos(beef) - Amazing for the price. On the smaller side but that is typical of authentic tacos. Burritos - We got both the beef and chicken, Did not disappoint. Kids: Chicken Tenders and Cheese Quesadilla - They loved it Drinks: Sangria - My least favorite thing of the meal. Would try something else. Margarita - My friend say it was good but I didn't try it. Bottled Beer and Soda I would 100% eat here again. We really threw a curve ball at these guys, and they rose to the challenge and then some, thanks to our awesome waitress Natacha! My husband and I are ketogenic eaters, so we went to a Mexican place and said, "so... we don't eat starch." Luckily, we weren't booted out immediately cause the meal that followed was so great! My husband got an enchilada (without tortilla) which equates to a lot of delicious meat and cheese melted together, a side salad, and some not-to-be-missed salsas with sour cream. I got the Mi Casa bandeja without rice, beans or plantain, with a side of freshly made guacamole. This was so simple and perfect! Great seasoning, huge portion, and nicely done. Special standouts were the chicarrones with lime and the green salsa. This place seems like a little dive, and maybe it is, but we would happily return again and recommend you give this quirky little gem a shot! read more

This place sells itself as Spanish, but the menu is really more Mexican. It is in a rundown motel, so the ambiance is not the greatest, but its workable, and prices are commensurate. Being from Los Angeles, I always have high expectations for Mexican food- I would say this stuff didn't really taste that Mexican, but it wasn't bad- just don't expect the authentico taste. Was looking for something outside of Kalahari and the yelp reviews and ratings were accurate. Mi casa is a down to earth authentic spanish restaurant that did not disappoint. Went on a Tuesday for lunch so was able to take advantage of the lunch specials. 7.50 for the steak, fried onions, beans and yellow rice (bisteka dish?). Paid a little extra for the avocado and fried egg, simply couldn't beat the value, taste, and authenticity. Lunch special also came with soup de jour for 1.50 more- chicken noodle yuca, amazing. Was kid friendly and spacious. There is a pool table in back that kept kids occupied. Other dishes tried was burrito and fajita salad. Mounds of guac and sour cream, very generous portions. Definitely recommend for anyone visiting the area for authentic meal off if you are looking to get away from the chains or pricey hotel restaurants. read more

Mi Casa was a great find and I was very intrigued by their many delicious choices on their menu. I couldn't decide what to get up to the last minute that it was my turn to order. I ended up ordering the Lomito Saltiado, which comes with your choice of beef or chicken sautéed in onions, peppers, tomatoes, and corn and served with rice, French fries, fried egg, and sweet plantains. I can't eat rice and they were nice enough to replace my rice with mixed veggies. Everything was so good that I devoured almost all my plate. It was definitely a filling meal that was worth every bite. My Godsister ordered the same thing but had the chicken, which she also enjoyed. Her boyfriend ordered the Bisteck Encebollado, which he also thought was really good. My Godbrother ordered the Pernil, which he and my Godsis were in love with. Altogether, we really loved Mi Casa and I will probably find myself here again if I'm ever in the area again. read more

Saw the great reviews on yelp and decided to give it a try. We questioned if we were in the right place as I our GPS had us pulling up to a motel. Just drive a little past the motel entrance and you'll see it. As we parked I questioned if we should just turn around, but decided to give it a try. I was following a vegan (when possible)/ vegetarian (when vegan is a challenge) diet. The menu was looking difficult to find a decent option. I explained to our server my situation and she said they could sub the meat for mixed veggies in any of the Mexican dishes. I asked what kind of veggies and she said like corn and peas... an image of canned mixed vegetables popped into my head, but I ordered the veggie enchiladas with green sauce anyways. To my surprise, they were delicious! The veggies were crisp and everything was well seasoned. The refried beans were probably the best I've had. The menu had many options for meat eaters. There's a Latin American section with "the best" dishes of many Latin American countries, such as pernil, lomo saltado, bandeja paisa. Small place with outstanding authentic well seasoned food, had the pork chop with shrimp, rice & beans and sweet plantain not a nibble left !
