Located in a strip mall next to Shaws, the restaurant is large with a bar area and two separate dining rooms. Came in without a reservation with a party of 6 and were seated immediately. You'll be greeted with warm tortilla chips (several baskets worth at your request) and small carafes of freshly made salsa. Delicious! Recommend the "table side guacamole" - they craft a large molcajete bowl worth of guac for you. Goes great with the chips. Ordered the carnitas platter, enchiladas supreme and a fajita dish. Portions are generous so don't fill up on chips. The food comes out on the slower side. Tastes decent, not mind blowing but above average. If you're craving Mexican this place will hit the spot but it's far from being destination worthy. The service varies by server but I received excellent service. She was very attentive. Unfortunately this is not a pleasant review. We used to love Mi Jalisco food was good drinks were good. Me and S.O. Went today for a drink and food to go. Our drinks were fine, our to go food on the other hand was disappointing. 1st they forgot two things I had to go back. got home our rice was hard and crunchy, and inedible. chimichanga was more like two taquitos they were so small. burritos was the same. Chili was like a salt bomb. You can jack up your prices, ya we get it. So is everyone, but at least give the same quality, we had to pay good money that is hard earned for shit food. Mi Jalisco has become our favorite Mexican restaurant. We love coming here!! The food is consistently very good and so are the drinks and service. But what really makes the place is the staff! We usually eat in the bar, and Carlos and Samuel are two of the most engaging bartenders we have ever met. They give great service with a smile and you can tell they really love their jobs! So I definitely love the food. Great value for portion sizes and it tastes so good. That being said the wait staff have been rude and always seem to forget about you. You can forget about getting a refill as you will be ignored even if you try and flag someone down. You will also be graced with your weight and appearance being criticized in Spanish by teenage wait staff who are on their phone during busy hour with a complete disregard that you are with in ear shot and can understand them. This makes it really hard to want to come back. And honesty I feel like I get better customer service at a Taco Bell in their hour long drive though line. General a very good experience with a couple exceptions, one of the few places in this area with city night hours. Taco Tuesday's is chaos, totally booked up but most days they are pretty busy most of the day and one of the only places that has business in this plaza. Beer is $6 in tap and $3 Tuesday on special, hard shell tacos are $2. And $1 on Tuesday, check your bill they like to bill you the regular price sometimes and see if you are Paul by attention. Wow. This place is fabulous! Best Mexican Restaurant I've been to - including those in Mexico. Great food, great drinks, really good prices, friendly wait staff... This spot has had sooooo much bad luck - pretty sure this place will be around for a long while. We've been here about 10 times in the past 6 months or so - even got lunch a few times. Great waitstaff - though I've only been at the bar :-) Ladies room is nice & tidy, bar is attractive, food is great, prices are good, portions are kinda big - Yay for leftovers! I called for an order pickup and was told it would take 20 minutes. After 25 minutes we went to pick up and waited another 30 minutes for our order. After asking 3 times why it is taking so long all we got was ' I don't know sorry'. We waited an hour for our food and the person at the front was not helpful and rude. After getting home, we were missing food and the chicken Tacos has nothing on it. They threw flour tortillas in a to go box with chicken on top. The food was also cold and we live 5 minutes from the restaurant. Horrible customer service and very unsatisfied with the food. I used to love this place but don't think I'll be coming back. We used to love coming here but the past two experiences have left something to be desired. Service used to be very quick but as of late has taken longer for food to arrive. We made a request to get a small side of cheese sauce that came on the dish. The server came back with a side of shredded cheese and proceeded to tell us that the only way we could get more cheese sauce was to order a side (appetizer portion). We said we have no problem paying for a side but can't they do a smaller portion (like the shredded cheese came out). The only thing I can think of it the ladle was 4oz and they couldn't figure out how to put two in a small dish. Every restaurant I know has a MISC food button where they can charge any amount they want for something out of the ordinary. There are way too many dining options to be inflexible when a reasonable request is made and then denied. read more

Stopped in for the first time for their lunch today and it was pretty busy which is always a good sign! I know a lot of the locals come here so I had to try it out. I ordered their beef burrito and chicken enchilada lunch special, both were your average Mexican food but what really made it was the Mole sauce on top, so sweet and delish! The salsa they gave with the chips was really good too and not spicy at all which I like! The service was on point, I barely waited 10 mins for my food! Bad customer services and management. I've been coming here for months. The queso is amazing and service is generally good and quick. They come over right away and bring you chips and salsa right away. Food comes out very quickly--generally. That is the only reason why they get 2 stars and not 1 star. Last night they were busy, which is normally on a Saturday night, however, last night I felt like I was in an episode of the twilight zone. We ordered our queso and drinks right away. 5 minutes later we order our meal and I reminded our waiter about our appetizer. Drinks came out and then 15 minutes later, no queso. I reminded the waiter and he said it would be right out.10 minute later our food came out. I told them I did not want my dinner before my appetizer. He apologized and informed me he told management. They brought our dinner back to the Kitchen. Queso then came out 10 minutes later, by that time we had no chips left, I asked for more chips and they forgot-again-10 minutes later I asked for more chips-again-5 minutes later they came out, but as you could suspect queso was cold at this point. Dinner came out and was good, but clearly had been put under a warmer for 20 minutes and not remade. No apology from management, which they knew about the situation as waiter had told me and we were charged for everything. Prices are reasonable so I didn't make a stink of that part, but will never go back. The food is good, but when they are busy service is bad and management just does not care about services and customers experience. read more

We have been up here in New Hampshire for 4 years and have travelled far and wide to find Mexican food that reminds us of home. Mi Jalisco's is THE only place we have found that achieves that. It was... OK. Service was friendly and atmosphere is nice enough, but the food was average at best. Avoid the seafood dishes with "crab" at all costs -- it isn't crab, but rather surimi, i.e. reconstituted, artificially colored fish slurry. Cooked into a Mexican entrée, it becomes a (literally) slimy, disgusting-tasting blob. And for this you are paying a premium price! (As an aside, it really ought to be illegal to call this stuff "crab" on a menu. It's exactly the same as, say, advertising "steak" -- and charging accordingly -- but then serving Hormel potted meat product made from mechanically-separated chicken parts. A place that did that would be shut down in a minute... why on earth do we accept the deception in the case of seafood?) Anyway, other dishes were OK, but nothing special. Dishes described as "hot!" weren't even slightly spicy. Salsa was too sweet, not spicy enough. Guacamole was weak. I sense that this place could do better. The menu looked intriguing. Hope they will try harder, and maybe we'll give them another shot some time. read more

Ended up going last minute for dinner and I'm glad I did! We sat down at the seating next to the bar and were greeted immediately with chips and salsa! The waiter came right back and asked us our drink orders. In less than 5 minutes we had the drinks, and they took our order. They kept checking in on us throughout our time there. Two adult meals, mozzarella sticks and a couple beers was about $40. Not bad at all and they sell 32 oz beers of many varieties. It was really nice because you feel welcomed by the staff and you don't feel rushed. We sat for the whole patriots game and they came over every once in awhile to see if we needed more snacks or drinks. Would definitely recommend! So this has been my go-to spot for Mexican food in my area. I go with my co-workers for margaritas and appetizers, my husband for some beers and fajitas, and had a good sized end of the school year party here. I have always enjoyed it. On that note, Taco Tuesday was so disappointing. If I go to a "Taco Tuesday" special, I imagine one cook back in that kitchen assigned to making tacos and nothing but tacos. My husband and I expected a quick beer and a six pack of tacos on a work night. Three beers later, and the waitress is offering us another! No thanks, what we would like is our TACOS! We waited an hour total, and then only received four tacos, being told "well this is what we have right now." They were cooking dinners in the order they were placed so we were waiting for people to get their full dinners before getting our tacos that take minutes to make! By the time we had six, we were in disgust by the quality of the tacos. Our expectations were not high for dollar tacos, but when we asked why there was NO seasoning on the taco meat, the waitress rudely replied, "that's how we cook our beef sir." Taco Tuesday NO BUENO! Wont go back here for a while. Very unapologetic service and no offer to take one or two of the $4.50 Coronas off the bill! read more

I do like this place but i'm must admit i'm not to picky with mexican food. I have had a few of the different lunch combo plates and find because how they come they can be soggy. Wow! Totally blown away by this strip mall restaurant. The place was hopping - bar was packed and the dining room was almost completely full. This was our first time eating here. My boyfriend tried some Mexican beer that was suggested by our server, I had the Ruby Red Margarita (completely awesome). The house salsa and chips were scrumptious - - -love when you can taste the cilantro in the salsa and the chips are warm. He had the Monterey Burrito (pork) with cheese, rice and refried beans. I had the fish taco with guacamole, lettuce and tomato. We were trading bites of the meals, both were delicious. Our server, Alma, was very attentive and pleasant. I've been for dine in service and take out several times each now and have not been disappointed. The food is great - ranks up there with some nice places I've been in Mexico. The service is fast & friendly and the coupons in the ValPak really help cut the bill so we can bring the kids. I hope this place is around for a while. * My only issue was the strawberry margarita. As one can see from previous reviews, this place is really hit or miss. The first time i visited here the service was incredibly slow and the food came out cold - not good. After this experience is very hesitant to go back, however I was talked into it by my family and was very happy that I did. This time the service was much better and the food came out hot and was absolutely delicious! My second experience leads me to recommend a combo with pork because it was quite good.
